What a nice place to spend the night for a weary traveler. The rooms are bright and very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. They offered a happy hour with snacks and non alcoholic beverages at 5:00 PM. They also offered a hot breakfast consisting of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy or you can make your own waffle. There were newspapers to read, a selection of brochures for the attractions in the area. The lodge is located right off of the highway on a strip with shopping and restaurants. Great location, great accommodations at a reasonable price!

I love staying here. It's super affordable, and the room smells nice and fresh when you walk in, and the beds are comfy and clean. Obviously it's not a high end hotel. A couple of things like slightly dated (working) faucet, and worn out bathroom door. But I'd rather overlook those two minor things for $40-50 less than a neighboring hotel. Crisp white linens and duvets, super nice lady at the desk (with free wine at social hour! ) and a happy safe place to rest my head after a long ass drive. There is highway noise on one side of the property, but I'm konking out soon, sooo…

Wonderful service and staff. Great breakfast in the morning. Happy Hour in the evening. Clean room. Will stay there again.

Great rooms, staff are personable, helpful and friendly! Breakfast looks and smells awesome. Near everything. Overall, a wonderful experience. And at a HUGE bargain, too! We highly recommend Cabot Lodge to EVERYONE :-).

My wife and I stayed one night in the Lake City area. Cabot Lodge was inexpensive and had good reviews. I concur with the majority of the reviews. Cabot Lodge was clean and well kept, as was the room we stayed in. Everything in the room worked well. The free breakfast was very good, offering a plentiful variety of selections. We would stay again.

Well my wife and I stayed there 3-12-15. Frankly the hotel overall is really kind of sub-par. From the pictures and reviews it gives the impression this facility is a more medium scale facility, now speaking from experience not so. It's a bit overpriced for the type of facility they have. Before entering the room you realize this is an aged facility. It really didn't live up to the 4 star reviews I read on various sites. The doors themselves when entering the room looked like they had about 8 layers of paint on them. The bed coverings were a bit tattered and worn. The room was clean, however as with much of the rest of the facility it really is in need of a renovation. Have I been in worse facilities. Oh yes! The problem with this facility I think they're they are a bit overpriced for what they have to offer. I payed $80 for a room that may have only a $40 to $55 room at the most. If I would have just forked out about $20 more we could have stayed in a country inn and suites. Also the pool was very tiny and you could also see that the cover covering the handicap lift was quite worn and tattered. The breakfast was alright not terribly bad. My ac in the room really had to work to cool the room down and it was not really secured all that well. It had noise leaking from the outside compressor because it was not secured and sealed to outside cowling as it should be. Somebody had put dryer sheets in the air filter slots I assume to make the room smell better.

Very nice place for the price. Their breakfast is very good. Nice people. I would come here again.

My wife and I have been to the Cabot in for the last 8 years after driving from Toronto, Cda. Great place to rest. Just next to I-75 SB lots of places to eat and refuel to your Florida holiday. Sure hope Judy is still there, great host, and friendly staff.

Nice hotel, No Problems. I took my wife here for her birthday. Not very romantic. I wouldn't avoid this hotel it was nice, but I wouldn't go back for a romantic evening.

Needed a place to stay when first reservation at a "NAME BRAND" hotel turned into a nightmare due to overbooking. This was a pleasant surprise for an overnight stay. Staff is super and the price is reasonable. The room was very clean. Would certainly stay here again.

Extremely clean! Perfect place to rest your head after driving until you can go no farther. Hot, relatively yummy breakfast, considering it was free, made it wonderful. I wouldn't recommend for more than a quick one night sleep as the highway noise is bothersome, but when you're exhausted clean sheets are ask that's important, and theirs are super clean! Overall, grateful.
