We have stayed so many times here, will keep staying here. It's right around the corner from Universal. Decent prices, decent rooms.

Lobby, pool and jacuzzi are the best of this hotel, the only thing that bothered me was the excessive smell of chlorine in the rooms. It is close to Universal and Icon Park, and different places to eat, customer service was very gentle.

This place (would not even call it a Hotel) is disgusting. The smell of weed/dogs/cats makes you feel sick. The rooms are filthy. The Manager does not have a clue. The Reception staff are all so rude. There is no security anyone can walk into the place — never felt so scared in all my life for myself and my family. Homeless hanging about the building trying room doors late at night, dogs peeing on the landings — please think twice before booking this.

Beautiful facility. The reception staff was exceptional and friendly and made me laugh. I actually use a black light to check the room as soon as I enter and the bed sheets, walls, appliances and sink area were all very clean. I did see yellow stains under the ultraviolet light in the bathroom on the walls next to the toilet, but nothing worth complaining about. I stayed at their sister facility the Avanti resort for 1 night and then this hotel for the second night and the difference was night and day. I wouldn’t recommend the Avanti Resort but I’d definitely recommend the Avanti Palms Resort.

Don’t stay here! One of the worst hotels we have stayed at. The front desk employee was very rood, customer service was not important to them. The room was dated and dirty. Looks like the sheets haven’t all been changed. A seed stuck to the side of the bed. Hair in the bed sheets. Mold all over the shower and the ceiling was peeling in some places. Looks like the room as flooded in the past. Rust all over the place. If your looking for a nice hotel with your family this is NOT the place.

I’ve never stayed in such a nasty motel. Their pictures online are totally deceiving. The nerve they have to charge a resort fee 😡You can hear everything as well. But the pure nastiness is my problem.

This is a great hotel. The room was great, clean and comfortable beds.
The staff is wonderful, Had a problem with a lamp that wasn't working and it was fixed immediately. The best part is the pool, and the bar, cafe staff are great. Delivered pizza by the pool, delicious and the kid loved it.
We will definitely be back.

The entire staff did an amazing job hosting our large group. Cameron and the front desk staff were the real MVP's. The bar staff was also phenomenal during our pool party, the housekeepers did exceptionally well maintaining everything. Would highly recommend for large groups.

Great place to have large events. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Nasty 🤢 rat feces when you walk into hotel where your room is. Very deceiving. Front reception area nice. Rest disgusting. Very disappointed.

I do NOT recommend staying here. There is too much drug use going on & the rooms sucks. At first you look like your walking into a nice resort and then they put you in a building that looks like an upscale of motel 6. No joke. No housekeeping available. The hotel does not monitor what is going on in the building area where you stay. So there is soooooo much drug use & partying. The smell of marijuana was not only coming from outside but it was coming from under our door as well. It does NOT feel safe here. Unless you know Spanish, don't worry about watching the TV either. It truly sucks!

Dirty, needs to be updated, pool area was more for drunk adults then a family pool. I was very disappointed in this place and won't ever be back. I told front desk there was garbage thru out the hall way to rooms for the 3 days we were there she looked at me said sorry. No one cleaned it up. There was garbage also for three days from guest who piled it up by drink machine.

It was nice and comfortable a great costumer service also great views.

You get what you pay for. Great prices but the rooms are dirty and gross. There was mold all over the trim and walls entering the bathroom. The sheets looked dirty. They offered a different room. Didn’t look any better. We got a full refund, so that was nice. Just not somewhere my family would of enjoyed for 7 nights. Great location, hopefully they clean it up better. The paint job was terrible too! Pic of mold in comments if I can post it. Grossss!

I wish I had taken pictures! It was so dirty, with all this Covid mess I was expecting something better. I bought cleaning supplies just to properly clean the room. We booked for 4 nights but we checked out after one because it was so noisy, the rooms are nothing like the pictures, there was people smoking weed right outside the balcony, and there were joint doors to the rooms next to us. It was such a horrible hotel but you pay for what you get! The hotel itself was pretty cheap but it looked nice on the internet. As soon as we got there we knew it just wasn’t even worth trying to stay for four nights! We also paid for a room with a view didn’t get that at all. Highly do not recommend if you do stay here make sure to bring your lysol and other cleaning supplies!

I don't recommend this hotel at all. First room we got was without housekeeping service ready so we went back and the front service guy give me another one with a better view but the bed and pillows were dirty, the towels were yellow and dirty at the same time, bad smell inside and outside the room. After everything we canceled and went to other hotel. I Dont recommend this one stay away.

Avanti Palms Resort had excellent customer service, offered great views, was centrally located and extremely pleasant on the eyes. Everything was well maintained and clean. For the pandemic, I was surprised that they could still offer some form of normalcy. I highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again. I think the hotel staff did an exceptional job and I am extremely grateful. Job well done!

I definitely don’t recommend this hotel! Guests are extremely rude and loud. This video was made by my husband at 12:40 AM on Saturday (07/04). We tried to speak to the concierge, but no one answered. They said they will refund the hotel fee, but it certainly doesn't pay for the hassle we had there. I'll never go back and I don't recommend it to anyone!

Very dirty. But staff is wonderful.

Me my husband and 2 children traveled from England to Florida for the first time for a full experience 2 weeks stay and we stayed at this hotel it was great amazing location staff work brilliant and over all we were extremely happy with all round experience would highly recommend and would definitely return on our next visit.

We stayed from the 3rd to the 11th of March. Had a blast! Pool is great, staff helpful, room was basic but clean! Asked for a pool view room and got it would deffo stay again.

All you can smell is marijuana. From parking lot, to elevator, hallways. Tried calling front desk and no answer. Wouldn’t recommend unless you like marijuana.

Its clean, big rooms, very nice, wonderful people, after you check you check in with Michael go see Carlos at the outside pool bar. The restaurant's and bars are awesome. I cant wait to take pictures and post more. Beautiful place. I'll be back soon. Thank you. This is what a vacation is supposed to be.

Fabulous pool! But very disappointed that the bar was closed. I should have been aware before I booked.

Great place and centrally located.

The pool was really awesome (our favorite part of the whole stay). The room was okay but the floors made our feet dirty, there were lots of ants and bugs (from a gap under the outside door), it was super noisy at night, and there was nowhere to hang our towels up. They didn’t pick up all our old towels on the floor when they made the beds, just left new ones. Plus there was no vent in the bathroom and the shower curtain stuck to you while you showered. It just wasn’t as nice or relaxing in the room as we thought a resort would be for a vacation. The shuttle to Disney only went to Epcot at limited times which we didn’t realize until we got here so we had to drive ourselves and pay for parking at the parks. That said, it was really affordable, convenient to everything, and not a bad stay. If you’re looking for something a bit more high end don’t go with this one but if you want something affordable and convenient, it will be fine.

Room was good but was disappointed when we prepaid for a king early and they told us they are sold out. We got moved from a king to a higher room with two queen beds. I work maintenance in a resort and understand but I will say the bathroom definitely need to repair the bathroom. Shower head to low and I noticed the entire piping system for it was loose in the wall. Good place to stay and would give a better rating if it wasn't for these issues.

First night was a nightmare. Checked in and just dropped our bags off in the room without checking it out. Went to visit a friend and got back late to find water coming up from under the floors in our room. Dirty wash rag still hanging on the shower as well as visible dark marks on what should be clean white towels. Really grossed out by this. No one answers the phone when you dial "0". We had to walk to the lobby. Because it was so late the person at front desk wanted to move us to a much smaller room in an older building. We decided to just get some cleaner linen and rough it out for the night. I remade the bed with the clean linen. After what I saw with the towels, I did not feel comfortable sleeping on the sheets that were already on the bed. Next day Mae was the only bright spark as she made sure we were placed in another room similar to what we originally booked. Thanks to Mae for ensuring the remainder of our visit was not a complete BUST. On a good note, the lobby area was nicely laid out and the food in the Cafe was pretty good.

Very nice newly updated hotel. Nice open lobby with bar and cafe with Starbucks. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Kevin in the cafe was very kind and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious with refrig, microwave and safe. Only complaint, not enough towels, but staff was quick to provide. Nice pool area and good location.

Great location! Comparable pricing! Burgers were good! Room floor cleanliness could be better. Betsy is truly one of a kind at the front desk. My AC stopped working in my room but she rectified the matter.

I will definitely stay here again. I was here for one night, and this fit my needs. The room was extremely clean, and the price is reasonable. There is a $12 fee for parking and accommodations which is very inexpensive considering most hotels are charging $35 here and $25 there just for you to park your own car per day. The bathrooms could use an update, but overall it’s not a big deal. The water stays very hot for a long time which is great! If you’re looking for an updated, clean hotel that’s no BS, this is a perfect spot. Very close to universal property. The lobby is gorgeous and the ladies at the front desk were so kind to me.

Drove 4 hours and ended up at a nightmare hotel. Came straight to this one and was amazed at how clean and fresh it is. Our room is gorgeous, smells like fresh paint which is reassuring. Everything is updated and very modern. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was amazing! A lot of chair to accommodate and well kept. Will definitely be coming back soon!

If I could give zero stars I would. I booked online and trying to get ahold of someone on the phone is nearly impossible. We tried checking into our room which was supposed to be available soon and took 6 hours. Let me not forget they have someone in the lobby dressed like she works there asking if she can help you as she’s trying to sell you a timeshare for another establishment. Upon arriving at our room it was not a premium room as I booked and it was simply dirty. Stains on the sheets and on the curtains. We were in the tower which the elevator was a sauna and not worth being on the 10th floor. I called to complain about the room not being correct and got the go around and was told there were no rooms premium available and I wouldn’t be charged that rate (would have been nice to know before). I asked to be moved to a more central building and they sent a bellboy. He arrived with nothing to transport our luggage with and had to use my resort map in order to find our room. On our journey with him we watched the cleaning ladies yell across the courtyard to one another and two other cleaning ladies in the elevator playing handheld games. We got into our new building which smelled of straight mold. The room looks good at first glance but then we found holes in the walls along with the walls being paper thin. The neighbors felt like they were In the room with us. The people staying at this “resort” are not the type of people you want to feel like they’re in your room.

Checking out in the morning… my wife, and I have been here for 4 nights. Tonight being our 5th.
We have had nothing but pleasure staying here, and we highly recommend this place.
The only problem that we incurred was the room key did not work a few times, but we turned that key in, and got a whole new card… problem solved. Also the house keeping crew are not fluent in English… it's house keeping… no biggy.
Other than those two little minor bumps… our room was cleaned every day. Bed made every day.
And all the staff have been very friendly.
We would recommend this place for your stay.
P. S. For all those people giving the low scores; might I suggest you stay at one of the Disney resorts next time at $159.00 a night and up.

I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re willing to shell out money to climb the ranks. We booked a simple suite for the night but you get what you pay for.
1. The staff are disorganized. We called and attempted to check in several times and never got the same answer. It took hours for our room to be available and by the time it was, it was too late.
2. If you want an immediate answer, don’t try to call. You’ll be waiting awhile to get an answer or be placed on hold and forgotten.
3. Our “clean” room was not clean at all. The toilet was filthy, the floor sandy, the shower head coming out of the wall, the room had a musky smell, and we found many mysterious stains.
4. If you book a room in building one, be prepared for paper thin walls. We could hear our neighbors as if they were in the room with us.
5. If you have a complaint, good luck getting it resolved. Our neighbors had been loud and disruptive since 4am. We tried to reason with them and they did not stop. So we called the front desk, again waited minutes for someone to answer. They told us at checkout that no noises were heard and the room we were complaining about denied it. Instead of being accommodating or courteous, the manager dismissed our complaints and made us feel worthless.
This hotel is classist. I’m sure they treat you better if you shell out more dough. That’s not how customer service should be.

Wow this was a wonderful hotel and yesterday was my birthday. And I decided to stay here I stayed in the tower on level 4 and it was amazing. The view out side and everything. I love the pool area and the rooms are just right nice and great… I will go here each time when Im visiting friends or family and the front desk was very respectful and nice and u don't get to many people like that. Happy and feeling good. And thanking u for your stay thank u guys was time was great. I'm clocking out this morning….

As someone who has read the reviews before going and comparing them to actually being here… I honestly have no clue where half of the people writing reviews about this hotel are staying. The “New” Avanti Palms Resort and it’s staff in Orlando are great. Very clean and modern lobby area which includes a lobby bar, fitness center, arcade and a great “mini restaurant” style eatery with Starbucks coffee. The pool area looks amazing with a great outdoor bar to compliment. Now, the one thing I noticed everyone on here was asking about was the rooms and bathrooms. Keep in mind they are still modernizing some of the unfinished rooms. With that being said, our room, which was a standard double was clean, modern with wooden floors, huge flat screen TV and a clean bathroom. The only complaint I have was that the AC was a little noisy. Overall, for the price, I would definitely book here again the next time I come down.

Just stopped by to check out the remodel from the International Palms to the Avanti Palms. I was floored. Stunned is not too big a word. It is a startling transformation. If you've been before the remodel you will not recognize it. The lobby building has been completely gutted and transformed into a beautiful contemporary hotel lobby. The pool area has been made over as well with, among other things, the addition of a zero entry side of the pool that parents will love. I always loved this property and couldn't be more thrilled with what Avanti has done with it. If you liked the old International Palms, than the Avanti Palms will blow you mind. It's sure to become and I-Drive centerpiece.

Upon arrival I was sent to the Avanti International hotel. When we got there we were issued our room on the 1st floor building 3, which had a humidifier in the bathroom. My daughter coughed all night so the next day I called the front office and told them that was not acceptable. They were able to find another room at their sister hotel without any trouble. I thought it was great customer services! The hotel was ok, the pools are nice. This was a last minute spring break trip and we had a nice time. Glad they were accommodating.

I couldn't stay here. I checked out shortly after checking into my room. The lobby looked modern but when I traveled to my room the carpeting was absolutely filthy and covered with what appeared to be paint chips. The configuration of the rooms were arranged in a complete square overlooking the lobby area. The railing seemed a bit low and dangerous especially if you have little ones with you. In the room, the bathroom plumbing was hanging off the wall and the tiles were mismatched. The tub was scratched up. The toilet barely flushed. The room itself was roomy but lacked any decor. There was a modern flat screen TV and enough outlets to charge your devices. The room was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. The window was a small cruise style porthole which overlooked I-4. The front desk staff is very helpful and understanding.

Not sure why this hotel has bad reviews. We’ve stayed in quite a few hotels and this is one of the nicest by far. The lobby and pool area is so modern and pretty. All the staff here is super friendly and we’re so helpful when our little one came down with a fever. The manager even gave us children’s Advil after the shop was closed. The beds in our opinion were incredibly comfortable. Hard wood laminate in the room and a bright airy big window. We loved this hotel and would absolutely come back again. Bonus, the pool is open till 11 so we could come back and cool off after leaving the parks in the area.

We were able to get an early check-in at 4am, but I guess that in itself was a red flag. While the main lobby was appealing, the rooms and hallways where we were staying at certainly were not. Like what a lot of the other reviewers mentioned, they look nothing like the pictures. The lady at the concierge desk was rude and unhelpful with questions about the shuttles. If you call them, there’s about a 90% chance they won’t pick up. They don’t give out boarding passes yet she insisted that you need one to board (you don’t). She didn’t even know what stop you were supposed to be at and asked you to check every single bus (there are 50+) to look for “Route D, ” not knowing what the bus looked like or the company’s name. The shuttles itself were timely, but very few of them a day and to only a few select places. There’s no ice machine and the walls are essentially paper thin — you could hear *everything* your neighbors were saying/doing. Overall, horrible service and not worth the trouble. Would never stay here again.

Hotel front desk was friendly but slow as there was a 20 minute line to check in. We booked a garden view in one of the 2 story buildings but instead was changed to a room on the 6th floor in the 12 story tower (building 1) From a distance everything looked very nice but up close… Dirty floors every where, misc construction items, and a few broken items, The room also looked great but was also a lite sorry. Bed was EXTREMELY firm and water was always to hot. Over all the room was good just like the pictures. They are apparently finishing up the last minute renovations so honestly… It can only get better from here. Also can't beat the location 15 min walk to many places.
