Review of Avanti Palms Resort And Conference Center 3*

If I could give zero stars I would. I booked online and trying to get ahold of someone on the phone is nearly impossible. We tried checking into our room which was supposed to be available soon and took 6 hours. Let me not forget they have someone in the lobby dressed like she works there asking if she can help you as she’s trying to sell you a timeshare for another establishment. Upon arriving at our room it was not a premium room as I booked and it was simply dirty. Stains on the sheets and on the curtains. We were in the tower which the elevator was a sauna and not worth being on the 10th floor. I called to complain about the room not being correct and got the go around and was told there were no rooms premium available and I wouldn’t be charged that rate (would have been nice to know before). I asked to be moved to a more central building and they sent a bellboy. He arrived with nothing to transport our luggage with and had to use my resort map in order to find our room. On our journey with him we watched the cleaning ladies yell across the courtyard to one another and two other cleaning ladies in the elevator playing handheld games. We got into our new building which smelled of straight mold. The room looks good at first glance but then we found holes in the walls along with the walls being paper thin. The neighbors felt like they were In the room with us. The people staying at this “resort” are not the type of people you want to feel like they’re in your room. My husband wouldn’t let me even go to the cafe alone. The air conditioner must have been filled with mold as one night and my husband and I woke up sick. We decided we didn’t care about losing the money and booked to go stay at Disney which I should have done in the first place. After complaining my husband did get us refunded for all but one night we stayed but this resort and conference center should be changed to the bates motel. I’m not sure who would ever book a conference at an establishment like this.
