Dirty, run down small room. Nothing like the picture shows, so do your research before booking! Also, the staff was absolutely rude when we tried to address these problems!

Kitchen in the room was great, well stocked. Pools were so clean. Front desk staff was great. Totally family friendly and very quiet at night.

The two bedroom vacation rentals are beautiful! It is 1000 sq ft, & a full kitchen. Definitely recommend and can comfortably accommodate 4-6 people.

We had a wonderful experience this weekend. The manager, Lauren, was awesome and very welcoming she made us feel right at home, The room was very nice and clean. It was a quaint hotel close to everything. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Clearwater.

Hotel Cabana is a beautiful quaint romantic place. The rooms were much more then expected, had a partial kitchen & living space with a seperate bedroom, super clean & attentive staff. Its on the end of Mandalay ave so its very quiet & across the street is beach access where very few ppl go to its almost private. I definitely recommend Hotel Cabana & I will be back ❤

Amazing location near the beach. Rooms are small but well kept and cozy. Pool area is well maintained and comfy. All of the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend enough if traveling for 2.

Hotel Cabana was exactly as we expected! The hotel was literally as cute as the pics.

We stayed at Hotel Cabana for and extended weekend and absolutely loved it. Perfect walking distance to everything. We had the deluxe room and was so beautifully decorated and comfortable. We felt right at home. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. Oh and the beach is gorgeous! I’ve got to say my favorite beach I have ever been to. The beds are so comfortable. We enjoying the pool and how it’s all lite up at night. Would definitely recommend Hotel Cabana to everyone.

This property was everything I hoped for and then some. Fabulous welcome, incredible room. It felt like nostalgic old Florida with a modern twist. Simply perfect.

We loved the entire vibe of the hotel… vintage yet so modern! Simplistic with intentional humor and details to catch the eye around every corner. Very quaint little place at the end of the strip, quieter since it doesn’t have as much tourist foot traffic. Concierge is beyond friendly and helpful with anything you may need! Will definitely stay again. Beach is literally right across the street!

Beautiful rooms very quaint, a wee hidden gem love it close to nice restaurants and stones throw from beach. Guy on checkin was helpful and friendly. Looking forward to 3 days of living the beach life.

It is a Boutique Chic style of a place to stay. It has been totally redone but they left the character of when it was originally built in 1947. I have found my hidden gem.

I’ve been to Clearwater Beach twice, and stayed here both times. The staff is absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating. I can’t wait to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cabana! We were able to check in early as well as check out before the desk opened due to an early flight. The pool was warm and extremely nice! They have a foot shower that is VERY convenient to use after the beach! The rooms were decorated well and extremely clean. The beach was just a walk across the street! This hotel is in a great location a bit further away from the busier side of Clearwater.

My wife and I enjoyed it very much. Great value and clean quiet rooms. Pool is always open and it’s awesome for late nights. Just stay quiet so not to disturb others good times.

I booked in this hotel on June and finally went there last week. It’s a renovated motel and the smell of paint is very disturbing so I decided to change my stay to the Wyndham Grand Resort. Hotel Cabana has limited rooms with super tiny bathrooms, the bed occupies most of the space on the room. The AC is located at the end of the wall touching the floor. Also, the room was dirty even the mirror. I requested a refund on my deposit of $206 and the manager said she was going to give it to me and then, out of nowhere she changed her mind saying I occupied the room for 3 hours and that she couldn’t give me a refund. Very disappointed for her decision since I work with customer service and I always try to do my best to make the customer feel good. I will not recommend this hotel. It’s far from the pier 60 area if you decided to walk (its kinda at the end of the road). Hotel Cabana didn’t meet my expectations at all. So sad.

I trim the trees on the property there and every time I'm there the staff is so pleasant to me. It's such a beautiful place I always tell my wife we need to take a vacation and stay there for a few days. Would highly recommend vacationing at the hotel Cabana.

First time here and loved it. Room and hotel really clean and modern. Short walk across the street to the beach and a 10 min walk to the strip with rest of the shops and restaurants. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Was able to get early check in at 11am and was able to get late check out at 1pm. Rooms are really small but your not here to hang out in your room. The hotel also has beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and pool noodles you can borrow for both beach and pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Not a 5 star hotel but I gave it 5 stars for being very good at what it is: an old school beach motel. Recently modernized. Great location.

Quaint, quiet, clean and refreshing. My stay at Hotel Cabana was EXACTLY what I needed to recharge my busy brain. The staff is super lovely and the location is just the perfect amount away from the super busy areas of the beach.

Location is great, right by the beach. Rooms are small but cozy. Ask for a parking pass to park at the front by the meters. Guests leave behind chairs, umbrellas and toys, go pick them up by the pool before someone else does. Ladies at the front are very nice. Would stay here again.

The renovations to this hotel make it look like a boutique hotel. A modern industrial style which we liked. The pool area is nice to sit and relax both during the day and at night. The beach is a short walk and not too crowded as it's away from the hustle and bustle of Pier 60. Depending on your intentions that can be a drawback. The hotel is within walking distance to the restaurants and shops but it's about a 10 minute walk. Also as with any other hotel around here parking can be an issue although I did not have a problem when I stayed. The hotel was very quiet at night and I would stay here again.

We had a blast staying at Hotel Cabana. Our room was comfortable and clean. The pool and courtyard area is beautiful and relaxing. I especially enjoyed watching the birds and drinking the great coffee under the palm trees while the kids played in the pool. The location is perfect, outside the busiest parts of Clearwater Beach, but we were still able to walk to Pier 60 and various restaurants. In addition, the staff was friendly and accommodating and made us feel welcome.

We had a great experience at Hotel Cabana, its a renovated motel — just a room, its simple, super clean, and just had what we needed a crash pad. Lovely pool area with comfy seating to hang out in. Pros — Clean, close to beach 1/2 block, quieter side of clearwater so much less crowded, less than a mile from pier 60, heated pool was great and clean. Cons — small rooms and tiny bathrooms but we knew that — I would love more hooks in bathroom for wet suits and towels but other than that we did just fine. Microwave without utensils and plates was a bit weird, sort of like half supported to bring in your own food? We heard next door neighbors 2x and totally not an issue, never heard street noice and we were on the street side. Everyone was so nice, and helpful, it was an enjoyable stay and I would come back.

Charming boutique hotel in Clearwater Beach. Decorated in Glamorous Hollywood era style. We Deliver our smaller cribs here because rooms are small here. It is a historic hotel so they were built smaller but very large in chic:)

Do not stay here. Rooms are absolutely TINY, bed takes up whole room. Staff has no idea what they are doing. They would not let us stay our 6 nights all because we were not “25” which they apparently change for only spring break week. There is a huge lack of communication between staff and guests. Hotel is farther away anyways and is too much for what you get. Do not recommend.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Cabana this past weekend. It truly is a hidden gem on the north end of the beach. I arrived in the evening, and the ambiance created by the string of outdoor lights around the pool area gave the most inviting feel. Upon entering my room, I was amazed by the cleanliness and updated features. The charm and detail which went into this 1940's motel turned boutique hotel didn't go unnoticed. The quick access to the beach was a definite plus, and restaurants where just a short walk from the property. Can't wait to come visit again!

Booked with this hotel and gave a deposit… The manager Andrea would NOT return my deposit EVEN AFTER telling her my bags had contracted bed bugs from my previous stay on a cruise line the day before. She is more about money than her guest safety and cleanliness. She would have rathered I stayed at her hotel with bed bugs than return a small deposit of $100. This is sad. I would never place other people or children in harm so I took the loss and I did not go to their hotel which allowed them to NOT get the bed bugs.

Rooms and exterior freshly renovated. Nice pool area. No breakfast or restaurant but shops/restaurants in walking distance. After the first night, there was a bit of an awakening. The shower and tap water were not working — which is only so much fun if you are ready to shower : (after checking in with the reception it worked again after 15 minutes (repair going on — why was I not informed or given another room as plenty seemed to be free? ). Then after doing a bit of shopping I was so looking forward to a shower only to learn that the water is off again. Quite disappointing. No refund or discount either… Well not sure I might visit again…

Great place tucked away on the North side of the beach. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach, which is not busy at all on the north end. Comfortable bed, great room and storage space. Walking distance to everything. Great rates, very accommodating and a friendly staff. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend Hotel Cabana!

I booked this hotel because there were a number of positive reviews and it was listed as a 4 star. I had reserved a King room. When we arrived, there was a double bed in the cheapest 'motel flip' I have ever seen. The motel had simply been given a fresh coat of paint and the cheapest laminate you can buy at Home Depot. These minor changes do not qualify as a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in a number of 4 star `boutique hotels` that actually deserved their 4 star rating, so this is not a matter of me not understanding what a boutique hotel is. The bathroom door would not close, there were no glasses or cups in the kitchen and it just felt like a cheap motel. The hotel is just off the main strip and surrounded by graudy motels which did not make me feel very safe walking around there at night. If you show up 'after hours' (830 pm) they leave instructions on the front door where to get your room key with your name on it for everyone walking by to see. These are physical keys, not room cards, anyone on the street has access to your room. There is no security measure in place making it very very easy for anyone to steal or copy a physical key and come back later. I called the emergency contact and they did agree I had booked a King room but insisted I received a Queen (I am very aware of the difference between a Queen and Double, this was in fact a double bed). Fortunately, the hotel did agree to give me a refund with no hesitation.

Great experience. Rooms totally remodeled w very comfortable bed, huge TV, and new furniture. Very clean! Staff has been extremely friendly and most importantly it's a short walk to the beach. Also an easy walk to restaurants and shops so we didn't need a rental car. Walls are thin so set up is more conducive for a couple as compared to a family with kids.

My mother booked a "Superior King" room for 3 nights which totaled out to a whopping $440. Let me tell you, there was nothing superior about this room. The angles of the photos and the lighting make this "hotel" look appealing, until you actually walk into the door of your room. First off, the room has no bathroom door, and to optimize on space there is a full body mirror that works as a sliding door for the bathroom. That would be a fantastic use of space, had that door actually CLOSED and didn't continue sliding open every time you tried to close it. Which leads me to the bathroom. For almost $500 for 3 nights, you would think you'd actually get a decent sized bathroom. Good luck finding any room to even brush your hair or even position your knees when you want to sit on the toilet. I kid you not when I say that had a person who was on the larger side of the weight spectrum walked into that bathroom, they'd have probably gotten stuck seeing as the wall is less than 2 feet from the sink. The bathroom is the size of a closet, and in that nature completely unfit for someone handicapped. Instead, the wonderful people who were in charge of renovations decided that the makeshift kitchen area needed more room than the bathroom.

The hotel was adorable. The office staff were very nice. I absolutely loved the pool area! It was a perfect place to relax and socialize. The hotel is just a 2 minute walk to the beach and about a 5-10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. I would definilty stay here again!

Nice hotel right across from the beach. It was a bit far from the main pier, but it was still walkable for us and we liked the quietness of the area. The rooms were decorated nicely and the woman at the front desk was very helpful. Everything in the room was clean and the pool area was trendy and welcoming. The only downside for me was that there was a door connecting to the next room with a crack at the bottom… our neighbors were insanely loud so it was a bit bothersome, but I blame those guests not the hotel. I would stay here again though given the nice rooms and good price!

Enjoyed our stay this weekend! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool area was beautiful and the room was nice and very clean. The hotel is in a more quiet area of Clearwater, which we liked — it's a very short walk to the beach or fairly short walk/drive to shops and restaurants! The morning coffee was great (not your normal hotel coffee at all)! I would highly recommend Hotel Cabana to others! Looking forward to staying again! *My only suggestion may be to add a little more open shelving/hooks for storage in the rooms/bathroom, if possible, since there was no closet or bathroom vanity in the suite we stayed in.

It was a quaint little place in a quite part of the area which is nice at night. Going hand in hand with it being quiet we could walk out onto the beach at night and pretty much have a lot of privacy other than the few people walking by. Rooms were clean and staff was nice, other guests were quiet and respectful. No complaints at all!

Rooms are amazingly well kept. The retro yet modern decor is superbly designed. Prices are siper competitive and hospitality is impeccable! I WILL be back!

Really quaint! A+ on interior design to maximize space. Fantastic large TV, comfy bed. Modern, fresh look with cool, relaxing chairs and hanging lights at the pool. My only deduction is lack of parking. Would totally stay again!

This hotel has a nicely decorated 50's facade. The rooms are very small, but cozy and very clean in appearance and scent. It doesn't provide the amenities a 5-star hotel does, but the conditions of the rooms and the fantastic friendly service provided by Denise surely makes up for it. If all you need is a place to sleep during your vacation I highly recommend it; not to mention, a dip in their warm-water pool is quite relaxing.

My daughter and I traveled to Clearwater specifically to spend time at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. We also wanted to stay at a cute local motel with a pool near the beach. … NAILED IT! The garden pool was fantastic. The other guests were cool and friendly. The pool was great. Just a couple blocks up Mandalay from the action, which made it very convenient to walk to restaurants, but just far enough that it was quiet and relaxing! We had a fantastic time and I am thinking about how to get a bunch of friends or families together to go back at some point. Plus, it's a 1 minute, 1/2 block walk to Clearwater Beach. Couldn't have picked a better spot. The rooms are small, but they did the job and who wants to spend time in the room anyway, right? If you need to be waited on, hand and foot, it may not be the place for you. If you appreciate your privacy and are self-sufficient, this is your place.

Fantastic manager Andrea helped me and my Sista out a couple times with info and flower delivery and keys. Loved our room very clean comfy mattress and nice kitchen setup. Even closer to the best part of the beach than I thought. Took as many pictures of the grounds and plants than the beach, just wonderful. You guys rock and I will miss my home away from home. I mean my cabana… WOOHOO.

The rooms were clean. The whole place was very quaint. The location is nice because it's in a quieter part of Clearwater and also very close to the beach. There are lots of options for food as well.

The room was cute, but the shower and toilet felt shikd sized, and I'm only 5'10". There were also minor repairs that seemed to be needed everywhere. Other than that the location was great and the sheets were clean.

The rooms are girls, and the place not this close to the beach, but this passable missing improvements.

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Really enjoyed the pool. Rooms were spacious and clean. Quiet end of the beach but close enough to walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Can't wait to return again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The rooms are old, but clean. Very nice courtyard with heated pool. The owners have received us friendly and welcome. We could remain on the day of departure up to 14: 00 in your room, without extra charge. The hotel is highly recommended!

Our room was spacious with a view of the pool. Everything was clean and very welcoming. The property is lite with stringed lights and the landscaping is beautiful! Walking distance to the beach, and restaurants. It's on the quite end if the island so no road or crowd noise. Just fell in love with the place!

I love this hotel and Emory and Mark! They make sure you have a great time and are so nice to be around. When we arrived this time for the boat races they had a couple bottles of water, a couple beers and a magnum ice cream cone in the fridge for us. Who does that? What a thoughtful and kind gesture. I love it at North Sunrise and will always stay with them anytime we stay in Clearwater Beach. It is just like old time Clearwater how the mom and pop places used to be before all the big hotel chains took over! Emory is so hot! HA HA he told me to say that! Anyway if you want to stay at a place that is old time Florida ran by great people then stay at North Sunrise. Or you can spend a ton of money on a fancy hotel but I don't think you will enjoy it as much.

Stayed here for a week in April, was pleasantly surprised with everything. You get what you pay for, so don't expect a huge bathroom or deluxe rooms, but if you're a person with reasonable expectations you'll be happy. This place shines above the rest of neighborhood motels with a well designed pool area and a beautiful deck. The rooms were clean enough and the room service was good, but the best thing about this motel is its proximity to the beach plus enough distance from loud and busy downtown area. I would recommend this motel if you're on the budget but still want to stay in awesome Clearwater area.

My husband & I booked this hotel for a one night stay Oct. 24th in Clearwater mainly because of the price (on a budget). We did have low expectations. We were a late check in, but Mark was very accommodating with our arrival. When we opened the door to our room (#3) we were surprisingly happy. The room was small especially with a king bed, but it was very clean & inviting, & the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also small, but had all the amenities needed (shower, toilet, sink. ) If you are vacationing in Clearwater, chances are your not planning on spending your vacation in your room. So with that being said this is the perfect motel to relax by the pool or spend your day at the beach (5 min. Walk), do some shopping in close by shops & come back to a comfortable place to lay your head and get some needed rest after all the fun in the sun! The new owners Mark & Emory are awesome & are doing a wonderful job remodeling this soon to be perfect Gem! See you guys next year.

A quintessential beach hotel with all the amenities at a reasonable price. The perfect place to recreate, relax and enjoy The rooms were clean, the pool was relaxing and the staff was friendly. Of course Clearwater Beach is ultra relaxing.

Quite possibly the worst hotel in the world. My girlfriend and I checked into a room that was filthy (hairs in the shower stall and on the towels in the bathroom) not only that but the manager was rude and snippy, and what really surprised me was that she didn't even offer to clean the room. I wouldn't even reccommend worst enemy to stay here. I hope this place closes soon.
