The bed. Thats always the difference for me whenever I go to the hotel. But the area is awesome. And so are the people who work at this hotel. I can't remember the van drivers name I think it was Aaron I'm not sure but he was awesome. And the waiter at the restaurant who was blonde wearing glasses he was awesome too. Look out for them when you check in because they are great. The lights in the room are energy efficient too.

Went down to Durango for a fire had some time off between shifts they were short staffed and packed. I witnessed the front desk deal with compleat rude, inconsiderate and down right mean people with a smile on their faces. Later I ventured to the bar… once again they were dealing with adversity and taking it with strides! At times I wanted to jump behind the bar and help but they wanted to learn the life long craft of making a perfect gin and tonic which I truly respect and do hope they obtain the knolage some day because I will be back! Five stars would stay again.

The Holiday Inn & Suites Durango Central is beautiful both inside and out. The rooms are great too! The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms large, and the staff made us a feel right at home. This was a great experience, and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I’m in Durango.

We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite and it was just the way a Jacuzzi suite should be. There was an actual hot tub in the room and not some generically placed jets in a regular raised tub like some other hotels in the area. The staff at this location was knowledgeable of the area and also very friendly. My 2nd time at this great location and I'm sure I will return for a 3rd.

I like free breakfast best. But clean rooms, nice area. Helpful guest services. Great bar and grill.

This plays has everything. Comfy rooms. Fitness center. Awesome lobby. An attached restaurant. Convenient store at front desk. And bonus they have a shuttle that will take you anywhere you need to go in town. I got there late and they took me out in town to get some food. So nice and helpful. The bed was great and I had a fantastic night's sleep.

Accommodations and service are great. Restaurant staff is ok point but the food is horrible. I stay here every month and eat dinner there out of convenience. I am always disappointed.

Musician Doug Phillips stayed here recently while on tour, and they were very glad they did! The hotel staff was very welcoming and accommodating to the late hours check-in and the room was perfect! There was plenty of secure parking, and a laundry room which was very nice to get caught up the next day before hitting the road again. Ignite Hospitality Services thanks you!

Good location and nice rooms. View is of a cliff wall about a dozen feet from the window. Air condition system is loud and whines, but works. Internet speed is good and the restaurant in the hotel has good burgers. Parking is easy and plenty of it.

Out of all the hotels I stay in for business this by far the best. The rooms are nice but it is the staff that makes my stay here enjoyable. They are super nice and will try their best to accommodate requests. Keep up the good work.

Had an enjoyable time. The room itself was probably the quietest room I've ever stayed in at any hotel… Never heard neighbors, no doors slamming, no cleaning maids. It was awesome. Room was large and fireplace was a nice bonus. Bed was just okay.

My family and I have been staying here for the last three years when we go to the Polar Express. This year my son left his Polar Express souvenir in our room and we didn't notice until we were already home. My mom called the hotel and explained to the staff what had happened. The staff said they would look in the lost and found. The next day they called and said they found it and would mail it out. Well a few weeks passed and we still hadn't received the package in the mail, so my mom called again and spoke with Jessica. Jessica felt so bad that the toy got lost, she went and purchased another one for my son and sent it in the mail once again. There isn't many people who would do that now days. It is greatly appreciated. Needless to say the staff is very friendly and accommodating to their guests needs. There is no other place I would want to stay when we are in Durango that's for sure!

Amazing! The rooms were clean and comfy. The Hotel staff was wonderful. They went above and beyond to make our hockey team feel welcome. Was a great stay we will definitely be passing the word along to our Hockey Association.

I found myself at the Holiday Inn in Durango, CO. The day after Thanksgiving. It was a welcomed sight. You pull up and see that there is very nice restaurant & pub located with the hotel. The surrounding area also offers a lot of other eating options. The lobby is warm and welcoming. The hotel offers a workout room with plenty of machines. And the staff could not have been nicer. The rooms were great. Very clean and really well designed. I was traveling with someone on business and the room offered plenty of room for us and our things. It was my second time in Durango and you can bet when I come back again, I will be staying at the Holiday Inn.

Hotel is nice and clean. Don't pay extra for the breakfast, service is hit or miss. One morning was good, the next was the most terrible experience ever. I asked my server if my toast was ready (20 minutes after the meal had come out) he replied, "I haven't gotten around to it. " I hope they consider self — serve continental breakfast soon.

I had been here for 4 nights with 8 more to go, my sheet became soiled so I pulled the top sheet & blanket down then left for work. When I returned that evening the bed was made & trash removed, I noticed that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned & assumed that the housekeeping staff was in a hurry, ignored it and started to get ready for bed. When I pulled the top covers back it was very obvious that the linens were not changed. I redressed to go inform the front desk staff. The response I received was "We are an eco friendly hotel, if you need your bedding changed you need to remove all of the bedding so housekeeping knows to change it" Eco friendly my rear! It's pure laziness. If this were a B&B I would agree, but it's not & my company is paying top dollar for this stay. I have already informed our travel services not to send anyone here again.

I always stay here when I come to Durango. It an affordable stay, always a clean feel to the rooms, and it’s very close to town. Main St is 5 min away. Walmart like 10 min away. The staff is friendly and polite. I will always stay here. Thanks again Holiday Inn.

Convenient location, nice hotel, clean property, and some rooms have covered outdoor space. Even facing the highway, the room was very quiet, and it was nice to have the patio door open in the evening with the option of sitting outside for a while. My fourth floor room is shown in pictures. Upon check-in I was offered a choice of floors. I did notice a billing discrepancy prior to check out but it was resolved promptly and courteously by Elke at the front desk on my way out.

It was wonderful, just wonderful to awaken to the sound of a steam whistle of the D&SNGRR leaving the station. Staying at a Holiday Inn of this caliber within walking distance to the station and on the west side gives you a calm location with less traffic, and is well worth the price tag. To stay for less money you would be on the main traffic-filled street in a college town, or on a highway hill listening to eighteen-wheelers all night. Keep up the mindset, staff! The people who planned this location had vision, and its up to you to bring it year after year.

Clean rooms, quiet hotel. The staff are super helpful and go out of their way to help in any way they can. The location is great, within walking distance of downtown Durango. The shuttle provides transportation to and from the airport and downtown on an on demand basis. The hotel facilities are well maintained, the rooms are very nice and clean. The attached restaurant is pretty good. The food is good, the service is always quick!

Good hotel and good location. Day staff seems super good but after about 5pm the service seemed to fall apart. Nice newer rooms.

Booked at last minute and were extremely satisfied. Great rooms, good location, pet friendly, price was reasonable for season, clean comfortable room. Only problem was there system didn't show our room as occupied so they tried to give away our room, twice. Quickly resolved. Would still definitely stay here again.

Rented a conference room, setup was ok missed a few things and did not offer to bring in lunch from the resteraunt. Not all bad but could have been better.

Nice rooms however some backup to a mountain so be ready to see a rock wall outside of your window. Other than that it was the first hotel room I have stayedstayed in that also required you to put your room key in a slot by the door to operate the lighting.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable bed. Front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. A little too far for us older folks to walk to the downtown district.

Rooms are very nice and clean. Staff is amazing. Enjoyed my stay and the customer service.

Suite was great. So comfortable and had everything we needed. Had a less than desirable experience in the bar/lounge because even though we were one of two couples in the bar, we did not have good service. Also, the drink special listed for that day sounded great, too bad the bartender had NO idea how to make it! Wound up ordering one soda and had to wait about 25 minutes for the bartender to come back to get bill and pay him. At that point he asked if needed a refill…!

All new rooms. Very friendly and young staff. A very comfortable and quite stay.

It was a nice hotel the grill was very good and the pool was nice the room was amazing the hallways are wide but the only thing I did not like that you had to paid for breakfast Rooms where very clean and the bathroom to.

Our stay here was great and we would choose this hotel again; however, despite our good experience, it is clear that the hotel lacks good management. During our check-in there were two women behind the front desk and a man who was putting out cookies. While checking us in, the one woman was interrupted by the other woman who had just taken a phone call from someone who was demanding a ride from the airport immediately and she didn't know what to do (I assume she was new). Not skipping a beat through our check-in, the woman helping us asked the man (who was eating the cookies he had just put out) if (so-and-so) was in the office. The man replied to her, "I don't know. Why don't you pick up the phone and call him. " She barely reacted, but I was appalled. Out of curiosity, I looked up who the GM was for this hotel and, sure enough, it was this man who was eating cookies in the lobby and not only being unsupportive of his staff, but flat out disrespectful in front of a customer. Throughout the rest of our stay we could tell that the front desk staff was always overwhelmed — — that seemed to be part of their culture. Although they were super friendly at all times, they seemed to be disconnected and short-staffed at all times. They moved us from one room to another (for our benefit, which was appreciated), but then didn't properly move us in their system, so we received a bill for someone else under our door the next morning.

Stay here every time we come to Durango. Very nice accommodation. Clean and modern. Awesome bar and restaurant as well.

Great location but front desk is understaffed. Bartender is awesome but the breakfast was horrible. Restaurant staff super slow. Beds were not great. One was caved in. The other bed hard as a rock. Took forever to check-in. The room was clean and room quiet but for a bit more money I would have stayed elsewhere and slept better.
