I only went to lasalsa this time to eat, but I have stayed at Toppers motel before, alot. They are good people, rooms are clean, service is prompt, theres a pool, and the best part for me personally was free coffee, cream, and sugar. Not such a big deal now but way back when it was cool.
Beautiful recently renovated motel. You can't beat this deal. Don't stay in Bakersfield stay in Taft at Topper's Motel.

Best place to stay in the area! Our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until 3am. We called in advance to let them know and they assured us that regardless of the arrival time someone would be there to check us in. Check in went smooth and the owner was friendly. The rooms were very clean! The tile floor was a huge relief to see there was no sticky carpet or smell and you could tell the linen was clean. We would leave for the afternoon and every day we would come back to a clean room the service was great. There’s a pool and a restaurant attached to the hotel which was very convenient. The food at the restaurant is really good. I’ve recommended Toppers to others visiting the area.
