Five Stars! New and beautiful. The rooms are spacious, quiet and wonderfully appointed. Nice amenities and really appreciated the mini-fridge. So convenient for our adventures exploring nearby attractions including the Wild Wolves Preserve and Carrizo Plain. The Oil Workers Monument is fantastic. Walked to dinner at Asian Express. Everyone — I mean everyone — was so helpful and welcoming. Thank you Taft District Chamber of Commerce & Visitor's Bureau for the recommendation!

Wonderful staff, clean rooms with space to store clothes, comfortable bed, amazing breakfast in the morning, bit pricey but well worth it for the stay here!

This is a wonderful place to stay. It gives a nice impression of the town. The staff are courteous and efficient. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, especially the bed. And the free breakfast is wonderful. I will stay here again.

Clean hotel. Complimentary breakfast is good! Coffee/eggs/oatmeal/cereal and pastries. Pool is clean and also very quiet — just the way we hoped. No jacuzzi. Friendly staff quiet street. Handful of restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. Grocery store only a few min drive away.

A perfect experience. We were passing through and decided at 4 am we were too tired to drive any more. Booked at this hotel and we are glad we did! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Kevin checked us in and could tell we were exhausted. He was quick and even offered late check-out. The entire hotel and the room were both beautiful and comfortable. Parking was easy and ample. Bed and linens were great. Wifi worked well. Laundry facilities were convenient and easy to use. With late check out, cleaning staff were very quiet and respectful. Karina who was working in the morning was super friendly and made for a great start to the day. Go out of your way to stay here. Great alternative to Bakersfield (35 mins away).

Overall stay was great. Clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have, is that I left the room at 72 in the summer on a multiple night stay. On arrival, it was at 80. We had to wait for over an hour for the room to cool down. I notified the front desk, and they agreed to notify the staff. However, being a late night and wanting to get an early start, that made for a longer night. I’ve never had this issue anywhere else.

This hotel was amazing! Clean, very friendly staff and great room for the family. I don't think I had any issues during my stay, and that is rare. The breakfast alone is worth the stay. New rooms and comfortable beds. The a/c kept the room perfectly chill.

Excellent hotel, big rooms, nice bathroom and excellent time for breakfast 5;30 am so I got some time for breakfast before work and excellent service for Hector (front desk)

My family and I stayed at this facility while visiting Taft. It was the best hotel in town. We only spent one night there, but our experience was delightful. From the moment we called to make the reservations, to the time we checked out, the personnel was extremely helpful. Because of the reason of our visit to Taft, they kindly extended a special discount for us. The building was inviting and the room was clean and ample. The breakfast was not just coffee and pastries; it was a complete meal. We felt welcome during our stay, and would gladly use Best Western Inn Taft, again.

The rooms are awesome. The staff is friendly and quick to get you checked in. Complimentary welcome water and breakfast are provided. Also, there is always hot coffee avaialbe as well! Parking is plentiful and the lot is well lit.

We love this hotel, and we stay here every time we visit family. The rooms are big and clean, Wi-Fi works great, TV is large enough, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We're grateful it opened up!

One of the Nicest Best Westerns I have stayed in. Great outside appearance & a much nicer inside appearance. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is great — pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc. Staff members are wonderful. Very large Parking Lot & Well lit, security cameras as well.

Great night stay warm and friendly staff, great breakfast, room was fantastic. If your in the area the value is worth the extra cost compared to the other options in the area. Seemed like a very nice town would have enjoyed more time to see the sites but was there on a work assignment. We use this site for our crew when work comes up in the area and will continue using this site in the future. Our Technicians always have positive comments when they stay there also, and that is a big plus when work travel is needed. Our office enjoys the direct billing to help off set the cost to our technician.

The room I had was on the first for to the right of the breakfast area, it had 2 beds. The tile entry is beautiful and very functional. The room was great, no unpleasant odors were present, water pressure was fantastic, the air conditioning kept the room very comfortable and the extras were plenty. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic, all kinds of options and all of it is fresh. I will definitely be staying there everytime I am in the area.

Working in the area and staying for 2 weeks. Staff very helpful and were able to relocate my room away from the road because I work at night and sleep during the day. Decent free breakfast, comperable to HIE. Room clean and AC works great (it's around 100 F out here during the day).

The BEST hotel in Taft! Friendly staff, great service! I love this hotel! Rooms are very clean and comfortable! Plus, their continental breakfast is the bomb dot com! Scrambled eggs, obrien potatoes, sausage links, bacon, sausage gravy, plus a full variety of fresh fruit, cereal, juices, breads, muffins and pastry! Stay here just once and you'll be back again! Trust!

This is as nice as the hotel chains get. The rooms are updated and clean with comfortable beds and updated decor and furnishings. I enjoyed checking in with the pleasant Karina. She was very helpful and eager to direct me to the best places about town. She was very cute and I enjoyed talking to her. Excellent hotel and service. The manager Kevin is a total jerk. These guys ripped me off. Kevin even admitted that he was ripping me off, but said it's policy. There was a booking error that had me book an extra night at 10pm night of — cost the hotel ZERO, but he refused to help me. In an unnecessarily rude and power-tripping manner, he explained it's policy and my problem not his. I will never stay here again — I'd rather sleep in my car. I travel about 5 nights per month for work. This hotel made it into my top 3 for worst experiences ever. How this guy Kevin made manager is beyond me.

Great! New, clean, comfortable, nice gym, pool, and breakfast. Wifi and TV worked well. The room was large, clean, sweet-smelling, and tastefully decorated. Great bed with good back support. Nice, large bathroom with great shower. Wonderful experience in Taft.

This by far has been the greatest best western we have stayed at. We received the best customer service, especially by the front desk Karina. She was great since the moment we walked in until we checked out. Greeted us with a warm friendly smile. Overall a great hotel. Definitely going back again. Every thing was perfect. Wish I could give them a higher rating.

This is a great place to stay in the area. We were visiting Carizzo Plain NM and Windwolves Conservancy. It is within walking distance of places to eat, well kept and nicely furnished. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.

Nice new hotel on way to wildflower viewing at Carrizo Plains National Monument. Walking distance to several good restaurants. Internet good. Free breakfast. Just avoid the instant eggs.

New Best Western — was great except for all the photographs of oil wells and related equipment on the walls everywhere. Especially sad when you think that Taft is so conveniently located to the Carrizo Plain. Surely you could put a few photos of the amazing wildflower displays just over the hill from Taft! Was extremely quiet, clean and comfortable. A great breakfast for a free one.

If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I would! It is superior to any other Best Westerns we have stayed in in all ways. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable and clean. We had a mobility accessible room, which was perfect for my needs with walk-in shower, adjustable shower head, and pull-down seat. Abundance of quality thick towels, etc. Breakfast was over the top with a huge selection of foods in a large, well-lighted room with plenty of room between tables for privacy and comfort. The business room was private with two up-to-date computers for guest use. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

Best place to stay in town. Comfy quiet beds. Very accommodating staff. The included breakfast was much more robust than I'm used to having. Will definitely patronize in the future.
