I actually didn't go inside my buddy went inside the Holland Inn and Suites and the cashier did good customer service and the men's bathroom it was cleaned.

I instantly felt at home when Mrs and Mr Petel greeted us in the office. They were very kind, calm and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I found the location of the hotel pretty convenient, with a mall just 5 minutes away on foot, where we enjoyed our Mexican/American dinner and bought some snacks for our next day on the road. I would go back there when I visit Taft again.

Peter and his wife do a wonderful job of making sure their guests feel welcomed and completely taken care of. Initially an apartment building built in the 1930's, the Holland Inn was later converted into a hotel so the rooms are fairly large. The rooms are kept very clean, have large flat screen tv's, with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and strong water pressure. The parking lot and perimeter of the property have many cameras that are constantly watched, so safety is not an issue. For the price, cleanliness, and outstanding customer service, the Holland Inn simply can't be beat for those staying in Taft.

On our way to Santa Cruz area we checked out motels in our price range in both Bakersfield and Buttonwillow. The reviews were mixed with mentions of bed bugs, prostitution and thefts from cars. Upon a wider search I happened upon the Holland Inn in Taft. About 45 minutes away of our proposed route north, but 15 minutes to the 5 in the morning. This motel had a 4.4 rating and had lots of nice comments about the management and the cleanliness. I'm so happy we found this gem of a place! On the outside the 2 story corner building looks to be an historic landmark. The entrance has a few steps, a card key lock and an awning. The management appears to be husband and wife and they are very helpful and warm and friendly. All rooms are off a main hallway and the carpeting and walls look freshly painted and very clean. Our room was spotless and big. The kingsize bed was firm and comfy, there was a couch, coffee table, microwave, fridge, and coffee machine. Stay here! Eat at Jo's for breakfast! And now the shortest route north is the 33, 46, 101 which is much nicer drive.

Nice and clean. Has a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The queen beds are great for budget travelers. Location is approximately 1 hour from Carrizo Plain.

This place is wonderful. Very clean. Awesome staff. So accommodating with everything. Put breakfast out early for us for early games. Offered us ice for coolers. Helped us out with everything we asked. Will definitely be coming bs5ck to stay here.

We have really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Having a microwave and a fridge is a plus especially since we have our two kids with us. The owners are sweet and attentive. We love how close the Inn is to all the attractions in Morro Bay!

Stayed here for nearly two months over the summer for nearby field work. The family that runs it are very nice and helpful, and the rooms are big, clean, and inexpensive. From what I've seen this is the nicest place to stay in the area. No breakfast, but Jo's Restaurant just around the corner is good, cheap, and opens at 06:00. Highly recommend the Holland.

I stayed here for a week for a project for work and was pleased with the cleanliness of my room and the attentiveness of the staff. There can be some noise at night but I was not overly bothered.

I stayed at the Holland Inn last month during a business trip. The rooms have been updated with new paint, carpet, and air conditioners since the last time I was there last year. Area was quiet, great stay, will be back the next time I'm in town.

My sister and I come to Taft for class reunions and other events and have been staying at Holland Inn and Suites for about 10 years. Under prior owners, it went downhill, but when the new owners took over several years ago, they have done a wonderful job of refurbishing it and are continuing to do so. It's comfortable and clean and Mike and his crew are always pleasant, courteous and helpful.

I've never written a review before, but I feel I should because all the others were negative. My grandmother and I were in a spacious room with 2 double beds and an air conditioner that worked great! Bonus: a mini-fridge, micro and coffee maker which we weren't expecting. There were a few nagatives on the room such as the shower curtain was so thin I was surprised that the water didn't dissolve it. As far as housekeeping goes, it looked to me like it needed a good, deep fall cleaning after a busy season with fast housekeeping turnovers. However, the room and, most importantly, the sheets were clean and there were several extra pillows in the closet. The staff here were friendly and helpful, but unprofessional. I expected a higher level of professionalism, but the staff I saw didn't look like they were old enough to have any "outside world" experience as Taft is a small town. The place was quiet and they have tables with magazines lining the hallway for our reading convenience. The rate was okay for all that was included (and considering the few other options we saw in town. ) Overall, the stay was enjoyable. I hope this review is helpful.

My son an I stayed there on a Friday night. Our very large room with two beds (204) was clean and the air conditioner worked well. The price was reasonable at less that $90 total after AAA discount. The staff was pleasant and spoke English clearly! I would stay there again.
