We are on to day 2. This hotel has been amazing. We have stayed in a few here now and this has been the absolute cleanest and service is perfect. Whatever we have called for they have delivered. We have our little dog with us and she has even gotten the royal treatment. We highly recommend this STAY.

Good hotel, central location. Nice room, but next time we want a room on the back side. Rooms fronting Mission have some traffic noise, not bad unless you're a light sleeper.

Just got done eating at the restaurant. The service was so horrible! I am beyond disappointed. The waiter was untrained, rude and classless. We were a party of six and our bill was close to $400. I can’t believe we spent that much to be treated so horribly. I’ve had good experiences in the past. This was just so disappointing.

Perfect high end, romantic place to stay in Solvang. Wonderful staff, and L’Occitane bath products. So glad to finally find a place we look forward to coming back to when we visit Paso and Santa Inez. Love this place.

Loved this hotel, it's so nice! It's recently renovated and just beautiful/clean/modern yet super comfortable. We stayed in room 16, which had a very nice view! Loved the amenities and the comfy bathrobe. Everything was great, and loved the hardwood floors. The courtyard is spectacular, couldn't stop taking photos. Very friendly and welcoming staff, extra shout out to Meegan (I hope I'm spelling it correctly) and Julie at the front desk! Oh, and the breakfast was really amazing. Highly recommend California Eggs Benedict, wow wow wow! It's right in the center of the historic Solvang, so we walked everywhere.

Friendly, welcoming staff, beautiful contemporary design and touches of old world elegance suited for those guests who enjoy and appreciate a wonderful luxury boutique experience. This Inn is not to be missed. I loved the energy of happy hour with local wines and unique cocktails to outdoor courtyards with chic stone and lava fire pits to cuddle up to at sunset and dinner at Mad & Vin with a lovely farm fresh menu. My mom enjoyed the roasted chicken skillet, my sister — the Santa Ynez burger and I savored the special of the day — wild caught ahi tuna. The amenities in the guest rooms welcomed me to place of happiness and calm. Everything felt managed with ease. I will, no doubt, will come back and spend more time here☀️

We love everything about this place and they are pet-friendly. The food in Mad & Vin is beyond yummy. The rooms are super cozy.

Classically beautiful hotel in the heart of Solvang.

The room was good, though a bit small. The patio was very nice and had a nice view. The sink is outside the bathroom, which is inconvenient, yet both were clean. The rug was questionable, and my brother found hair on the sheets under the duvet. The Mad and Vin restaurant is a must try. Had superb fried calamari, and ahi tuna steak. Although it came rather medium than rare, it still tasted so good and fresh. Good parking lot and room service.

My boyfriend got us a room for the night on my birthday, August 8th. I've worked in Solvang for many years and always kind of wondered what it's like in one of the many hotels I walk by in town all the time. We got Room 19, which looked down on Mortensens Bakery and Petros Kafe. It was so beautiful! Our room was really clean and smelled amazing when we walked in, and the air conditioning worked perfectly! We've already decided that we want to stay here again at some point! :)

Main kitchen was closed but they had a fantastic minimized bar menu and an outdoor tri-tip bbq set up. Live music, eating on the patio, dog friendly. Loved it!

Really nice and clean room. Very convenient I could charge my EV car in the lot next door.

The rooms are very clean and have simple but pleasant aesthetics. Unfortunately, the service from the staff left a lot to be desired — when asking for recommendations on where to go about this small town, the staff member read from a guide book we could have found online as easily, and gave us inaccurate directions to a hiking destination. Also, the common area was surprisingly dirty. There was also quite a bit of noise coming from the restaurant downstairs. For the price, I would expect better service and quieter rooms.

This is a beautiful little gem in the middle of town. Down the street from the ocean. Great snack in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Very cozy and romantic. The garden is private and beautiful.

I love love love the decor at this hotel! It feels like you're on the set of a beautiful home remodeling show. I always have to stop here when I'm in Solvang.

Everything is wonderful. We especially love sitting by the fire outside. Definitely don't pass this one up if you're visiting from out of town.

My bf and I stayed there for 1 night and we had a great experience! Our room (14) was quite small but very clean, decorated with taste and with a little balcony. In the AM we woke up to a stunning sunrise we could watch from our balcony while enjoying our coffees. The service was good and everyone was pleasant to us. The food at the Mad + Vin was incredible. We had breakfast and dinner there and everything we ordered was excellent, including the wine and cocktails. My fav things about this place were the scandinavian deco, the firepits and comfy seating areas all around the property and the hip music in the lounge area that def set the kind of mood we are into. I would recommend this place to anybody who's into cozy charming boutique hotels and are all about the small details.

Nice place to stay. The restaurant is good. Room 14 is tiny, no desk. Can't even stand up in the if you're 6 ft tall.

Had dinner at Mad and Vin last night with the family. The food and drinks were amazing, well worth the price. I recommend The Hatter cocktail and the Seafood Hot Pot, that's what I had. The service here was equally amazing. Shout out to our waitress Sarah, she's the coolest, friendliest and most attentive server I ever met.

We made a reservation for dinner at the hotel restaurant. The cocktails, wine selection and food were all excellent. I ordered a dish with shellfish that was tasty. The shrimp, clams and scallop were all expertly cleaned and then expertly cooked, which is a huge deal for me. Our server was attentive and helpful with drink selections but not overbearing. I will definitely return to the restaurant on another trip to the valley.

One of the best fine dining spots in the valley. Our waitress, Sarah, was on point and excellent, both for drinks and dinner. As a hotel, excellent, from the bed to the shampoo. Highest recommendation from a drink to a room, though with a price to match.

The best part was the nuts and olives for the appetizer. The food was good but not great for the price. I have found better value at other restaurants in Solvang.

Lovely rooms. Great location in picturesque downtown Solvang. Delightfully scrumptious food. Nice, hot showers. Very clean. Wonderful hospitality, and live music on Saturdays. No complimentary breakfast. Showers could not turn to cold.

Checked into the hotel July 9th for two nights. The hotel is nice, modern and updated. Rooms are bright and quiet, except during our stay construction was going on. Continental breakfast is included, very frugal to say the least. Could offer Danish pastry instead muffin and include a juice to make more of an impression. Service could improve. Happy hour is very nice, good food, very tasty and nice selection. Overall good experience.

Very beautiful building, cool design in the rooms, relaxing place to stay for a weekend. Shame it lacks a spa and the breakfast buffet is too minimalistic.

It looks very nice. Very modern and upscale. Bar is a little small but it has a nice feel to it.

Paper thin walls. Could hear every footstep from above and the rooms next door opening and closing their bathroom doors, or closets. Overpriced for the quality. They advertise as "dog friendly" which is a complete joke. We booked 3 months ahead of time and told them we were bringing our dogs. They FAILED to mention that the dogs cannot be left alone at anytime. They're also not allowed anywhere in the common areas at the hotel. The manager verbally harassed my girlfriend after leaving our dogs alone in the room for literally 30 minutes @ 5pm and threatened to call animal control which he then denied after telling him we'd be sure to mention that in our reviews. We ended up leaving after only spending one night there when we were supposed to stay for 3 nights. When we were there it was around 30 degrees at night, so it was either torture our dogs by making them sit outside while we ate, or bring back take out for 3 nights. Some vacation that would've been! We opted to check out 2 days early. The manager was entirely inappropriate and could've treated this situation much more professionally and maturely. I'd recommend spending your money and time elsewhere whether you're traveling with or without your pets.

Missed my stay at this hotel over this past weekend due to a family emergency and failed to cancel the room prior to this unforeseen event occurring. Booked 1 room with 1 king bed for 1 night (9/6 — 9/7). When I called and spoke to the manager, Julie, she was unable to either 1) refund me any portion of the full price + taxes they charged or 2) let me use my payment towards another night in the future. When I asked about using my payment towards a stay in the future, she checked with her general manager who was the one who would not allow me to do so. They offered me a "friends and family" rate which was, they "thought" $199.99 and "subject to availability" and "not usually available on weekends. " While I do appreciate their position on cancellation and having to hold the room, their inability to refund a portion/allow me to use that money towards another stay seems a bit non-user-friendly. In a time where there are many options for hotels and considering that, living in LA and travelling to Santa Ynez/Solvang often, I'd rather give someone else my business. Very unfortunate.

Danish Modern to the max, but with enough character to still be appealing. Staff were friendly and quick, even when faced with some, err, challenging guests. Room was sparkling, bed was fantastic, and the Wi-Fi is free. You can even order a pint of ice cream to your room, and they include bowls (how cute! ). Breakfast in the restaurant, which had been open for a hot minute, was good, and the service was sharp. The Landsby is dead center in the hippest part of Solvang. Literally a block to the best bars, restaurants, and attractions in town. Worth a stay, and if you book early, rates tend to be a bit easier on the wallet. I'll definitely be back.

Wifi is super fast to 20M. Touch screen temperature control is awesome. Free parking and breakfast. And the price is so lovely, it's under 100 bucks the room is big and Clean, the bed is comfortable. Recommend for everyone who want to stay Solvang.

Left this morning after two nights in their very expensive suite. Never, never, never to return. Why? Well. There was no place to put your luggage, it sat on the floor all over the place, the jacuzi was very large, too large, you have to swim across it to the controls and I wouldn't use it as there are cracks in the corner of the tub. With my luck it would have leaked all over the downstairs. The bed, king sized in all ways, was over 36 inches off the floor. There was no way to get up there except to flop and roll and hope you didn't slide off. We were never told anything about the provided breakfast. My husband happened by it this morning, other wise we would have never used it. It included, hard boiled eggs, bagels, pastries, cereal and coffee. The room's carpet was spotted and stained. The stairs to the bed were very narrow and steep. The people at the desk were very nice, but did not tell us anything about the room and breakfast. Will never return.

I recently stayed here for the Santa Barbara 1/2 marathon. I was late in getting reservations for this event and was lucky to find this hotel. Although the it was pretty pricey, the service and hotel made up for it. The staff was friendly and accommadating. Jason (I think that was his name), our bellhop, gave us helpful ideas of where to go and try out. Our room was beautiful. It was on the backside on the lower level which had a private garden courtyard. Included in the price was a breakfast buffet that was much better than any other's I have had at other hotels. Simply put, next year when I came back for this race I'll be staying here again.
