Front desk not incredibly helpful but I mean you really get what you pay for and it's location is excellent. Great place to grab a bike nearby and ride around San Fran.

Location is great and it's cheap, but this is a very subpar place. Bubbles in the carpet, all light switches broken, musty smell, super noisy next to the Bart, no blackout curtains. I had a great day, and was happy for a cheap place by OB, but don't expect to want to linger in your room.

Tiny, friendly, family owned (it seemed like) motel. Clean and comfortable, simple, affordable, on thenN line at Ocean City stop. So close to the beach! We had a great time here!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Room was filthy. Duct tape on the walls. A giant hole in the wall of the shower. Dirty floor. PUBIC HAIR ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR, along with dirt and dust. A filthy bath tub with a weird ripped paper liner like what you'd find for a toilet seat cover. The most disgusting place I've ever stayed ANYWHERE.

Hallway in room was so long, beds were comfortable shower made a weird bubbling noise and for a second I thought I was in a horror movie. Would recommend.

Booking was simple and efficient. I arrived later than expected but I was glad that Vijay was able to greet me and check me in. The room is simple and has what you need. My favorite is that it is only minutes away from the beach! There is a rail and bus lines. Lobos point is a cool forest area to visit (20 min walk).

Parking non-existent and train running all night shakes the building, rooms smell old but they're relatively clean, it's a 5 minute Walkbfrom the beach and there's a pub next door.

Bed bug infestation and management did not compensate nor show any remorse. would not even refund a discount. PAID 250$ a night for this! Absolutely horrible experience on my first vacation ever. I stayed there with my boyfriend this past weekend friday and Saturday night. Bed bugs attacked me and I am still hurting with bites covering my body.

Cheap, nice placement right next to a metro/train to the center in around 40 minutes. The walls are thin, and it might get abit noisy at might, so take note of that. Also management is nice and helpfull.

It's 1½ blocks from the Great Highway on Judah street across from the Ocean Beach in San Francisco. A cozy get away spot. It 1 block away from the famous Thang Long restaurant, and 2 others (Cliff House & a great 3 story steak house) both on the Great Highway.

This is not cookie cutter place. Our room seems to have been part of a flat, so the room was large and so was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and after the streetcars stopped running, it was very quiet. If you are very fastidious, it is not the place for you, but it was clean enough for us, since the sheets and towels were clean. There was a loose window that rattled in the wind and I would not walk barefoot on the carpet. It is not on the beach, but it is right on the streetcar line, making it easy to travel downtown where you can connect to BART, cablecars, Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf and the Embarcadero. You can easily walk to the beach and Golden Gate park. I am not sorry that we stayed here and will consider staying again in the future.

This is an old slightly shabby motel more akin to a youth hostel in terms of no frills. It is very affordable, has parking, is next to great restaurants, the ocean, and the N Judah train that takes you to downtown SF. Nice hairdryer, TV, microwave, and small fridge. I love that it does not have low flow toilets. I had a big graduation to attend at AT&T ballpark and I love how easy it was riding the train there and back. I thought the desk clerk was accommodating and polite. A good bargain for overpriced SF!

Simple Motel in the Golden Gate Park area if from the outside it may seem of bad quality, the rooms are spartan but with all the useful facilities for a night in San Francisco, such as parking, Wi-Fi and private bathroom.

By far this was the WORST hotel/motel I have ever stayed at. First of all, when we booked the room a month in advance, they told us to check in AFTER 3pm. Then, the morning of the day that we were supposed to check in, they email us saying that if we don't check in BEFORE 3pm they would give away our room and we wouldn't get a refund. WTF? We had purposely planned to arrive later in the day because we couldn't check in until after 3. In the end it worked out, it was just inconvenient to have them freak us out like that. The parking was very limited, with their lot having only about 10 spots. When we got into the room, it smelled AWFUL! It smelled like a mixture of mold and cleaning supplies, especially in the bathroom. We tried to mask the dingy smell with perfumes, but after a while the smell would come back. The bathroom was relatively clean for such a run down place, but very dated and the fixtures were leaking and looked like they would break any minute. The air vent in the bathroom was absolutely the grossest thing I've ever seen. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the building was first built! There had to have been hundreds of layers of dust. The towels were kind of dingy. And the carpet had stains ALL OVER. I wouldn't even walk around on it with socks on, always wore shoes. The bed looked clean at first, but upon closer inspection, I noticed many stains all along the sides of the sheets and the bed. It was so gross.

Trolley was a little loud, but beds were nice. Nice shower.

It's not the Ritz, but my room was clean and cozy. Three bay windows and a little view of the ocean. Caution tho, the streetcars run all nigh — If you sleep light steer clear. Steep stairs, but a comfortable king bed… Ill be back.

This place is a dump! Roaches everywhere! Our room was dirty and gross. We were afraid to go out at night because of the addicts and dealers. The manager was a creep! DON'T STAY THERE!

So my boyfriend and I decided to go to San Francisco for a weekend. We didn't take a car, we took uber from Stockton. I booked this place in advance, and upon arrival the owner wouldn't let us check in and claimed nobody in sf could let anyone under 21 in a motel. I was freaked being as it was 9 at night and I was hours away from home, but there was another motel similar to this down the street, and they had no problem with us only being 19. The next day we stayed in the financial district and they were ok with our age too. So basically the asshat at beach motel lied to me, and caused me to lose a lot of money since I paid for the whole weekend and only got a partial refund.

What the f#×& do you people expect for $88 a night in San Francisco? This is the cheapest hotel in the city so it is dated and a little bit ghetto. That's why it's so friggen cheap! It's in the Sunset far from the craziness of Downtown. I grew up in this neighborhood and wanted to stay here on my visit with my son who has never seen SF. Good parking. 7-11 up the street, good coffee houses and places to eat surrounding it. The N Judah train sounds aren't that bad at all and there were no bed bugs or anything that nasty. If you want an upscale place to stay go Downtown with all the other tourists.

Stayed in Jan of 2015. Clean beds, clean room (mostly) and very polite staff. I did not hear any trains like other posters mentioned, however was woken up once by a drunk girl yelling in front of the bar next door. The shower/tub combo was very clean as were towels, etc. Some minor mildew in the corners of the bathroom but no where near the shower/tub/sink. Biggest concern, the fire escape/window combo. Gently pushing on it I was unsure if I would ever get it to close again or if it would break free and crash to the street below. I left it closed and the room was a little stuffy as a result. (there appeared to be no AC, only heat which isn't that big of a deal being less than 1000m from the ocean if you could open the windows. ) The free Wi-Fi worked much better than expected, for you gamers, my WoW raid went off just fine playing over it, no lag issues. Beds and pillows very comfortable. It is a very old building and the floors are slightly warped but not to an uncomfortable or unsafe degree. There is a 7-11 1 block away east, and a coffee house 1 block west for any last minute needs or caffeine fix. There were a few homeless people in the area, but nothing that would make most people feel uncomfortable or threatened. I would stay here again without hesitation. Great price for a great location in SF. this review was based off a 2 queen bed room. Your mileage may vary.

Trains. Never realized how loud (but very convenient) public transit is on Judah, but the local trains shake the building regularly. Beyond that, it doesn't seem quite as toxic as other reviewers mention; wood doors are aging, but the showertub looked spotless and smelled of cleaning solution. We had a hair drier, older model microwave, and mini-fridge, but a decently new tv. The skylight in the bathroom leaked slowly in the rain, but for a discount motel it's fairly decent. We even got in a little after midnight and found a clerk waiting up for us.

Like previous reviews. I literally couldn't believe someone would run a business like this. I wanted to stay near my son's apt. Since he was moving in and this was my only option (the ONLY other motel in this area was booked). Parking was ok when I stayed, but the carpet was gross, furniture is old (as in early 60's. Not cool early 60's either). Bathroom was ok except dingy old towels. Not too expensive to buy at Costco (just an fyi), but I never put my bare feet on the floor. I think the sheets were clean (hope so). I heard the Judah line when I was in bed (turned up the tv). I hope I never have to stay there again, might be better than my car (except I know my car is clean and bug free). The owner could really use some development in interpersonal skills. But I was looking for a room not a friend so not a big deal. My advice. Go somewhere else, most definitely not worth the money. Airbnb it.

A VERY basic, bare bones place. MAJOR concern about being on the third story and finding a large window, that if pushed on slightly, one would easily have fallen out of to the cement below. After informing management, they were very concerned. I would hope that they would have taken care of it immediately, as there was NO WAY to lock it from the inside. By the fact that my twin 11-year-old boys, were sleeping by the window, my heart skips some beats. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: There was not enough spaces to park in back and we had to find a place on the street. At 8:00 am, we found a parking ticket for $64 dollars. There was no notice inside the hotel that street sweeping would take place on tuesdays and fridays. I believe that it would be good business practice to inform guests that one needs to move their vehicle by 7 am. anyone who rated this with 5 starts must have made a mistake on the motel that they were rating.

Worst hotel/motel evveeer! Bob the manager/owner told me to go f* myself and I was a liar over the phone! Tried to cancel reservations 40 days prior to stay at which point they tell me there is no record of my reservations! I triple checked with them the spelling of my name and credit card info and still no reservations. Told them great I was trying to cancel anyways. I get a phone call a week b4 my supposed stay in the terrible excuse for a motel. I explained the situation not placing blame on anyone, told him there just must have been some sort of miscommunication along the way. But id still like to cancel. At which point Bob tells me im a f* liar and f* off! Trust me as someone who isn't hard to please, definitely never stay at this motel! Completely unnecessary and dirtiest place I've ever seen. Wow can not believe my experience with this place.
