Lovely staff lovely room good location.

I tend to be a hotel snob and was very concerned when this was the last available hotel I could book with that they had a block with the conference I was attending. When I pulled up I was still nervous and ready to cancel and go to a more expensive hotel if need be. Upon entering I was shocked that there was not a typical front desk but a table and Chair. I was greeted by Joey and instantly felt the warmth. He called housekeeping to see if they can get me into a room early, let me know that his name and that he would be working until 3:00 if I needed anything… another employee came over to make sure I was all set while he searched for rooms, housekeeping greeted me when I made it to my room. The elevator scared me but worked without a hitch. When I entered the room it was bright, clean, and cozy. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were very nice. The bathrooms had 8oz lotion, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner (you could use freely but also buy if you really liked them) and I was overall pleasantly surprised. The Laurel Inn has definitely opened my mind to the potential of staying at other boutique hotels. My experience with the staff was superb! Also the tea in the lobby is not the cheap stuff… YUMMY!

Room was very nice and very clean. Bathroom was very clean, all tile. Wheelchair access was alittle hard to maneuver into and out of elevator. Coffee and cookies in afternoon.

The lavender lemonade here is no joke, they put it out in the afternoon. Nice place with nice workers.

Nice, convenient location in regards to being able to walk to The Castro, and Presisio neighborhoods in San Francisco. Very comfortable, and modern rooms.

Wonderful property. Our daughter was having a baby which turned out to be a difficult birth. We were suppose to check out but they let us stay the extra night. Very accomadating. Walking distance to CPMC. Hospital and great restaurants. There cocktail bar has something going on every night. A great surprise. Great neighborhood. Will go back.

Having a really enjoyable three week stay. Small renovated retro styled hotel. Very convenient to public transit, close to amenities in Laurel Village. Room is spacious and well appointed with a small kitchen area. Staff are friendly and efficient.

This is a lovely hotel. Accommodating, helpful staff. Clean rooms and lobby. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Good for the price. Nice staff and tasty complimentary breakfast. Good for families since the rooms are big and It has a pool and a jacuzzi.

Gorgeous little hotel with lots of special, homey touches in a beautiful neighborhood of SF!

Beautiful spacious room in a wonderful neighborhood. Several excellent restaurants within walking distance. We stay here when visiting Legion of Honor, Disney Family Museum or other events on this side of town.

The staff is so phenomenal. When we arrived, our room wasn't quite ready, so they held our bags free of charge. We went sight seeing and when we came back our jackets were hung up in the closet and our luggage was neatly set up in our room. The view was the cherry on top of our experience (room 310). Oh & also, be prepared to receive a free drink voucher for the awesome bar adjacent to the entrance. Extremely friendly bar staff and great conversation. Definitely will be coming back to the Laurel Inn on our next San Francisco visit.

I loved my room, the location is fantastic, the staff extremely accommating and friendly. Will definitely return. Only one problem, their cocktail lounge closed on Sunday and couldn't find a nice cozy place to replace it without quite a walk.

Stayed two nights at the hotel. At first I was surprised that they are under renovation. Booked thru United Airlines hotel webpage where it was not mentioned. However I stayed at the hotel and did not regret! Great room. Very clean, staff exceptional polite. Stayed in many hotels and will definitely book this hotel in future!

I stayed here in July 2015 for one week. Every need we had was met. We requested a refrigerator and they brought one to our room. This is a very personal hotel. I loved the area because we could walk a short distance for eating, shopping, Starbucks, quaint restaurants, a grocery store, a book store… and a drug store! The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom big. We took a taxi if we wanted to go to places we couldn't walk to… The Staff so generous and helpful.

Older hotel. Staff members are very accommodating. They serve coffee and tea and lemonade. As well with pastries in the morning and freshly baked cookies in the evening.
Will be renovating in November.

No coffee for breakfast! so I asked the girl up front to bring coffee to the breakfast area.
She said "That" coffee was not made for the breakfast area.
When I suggested she pour it into a pot and take it to the breakfast area she refused.
When I suggested she go and buy some coffee she refused as well.
She was completely ambivalent to my, the Customer", needs. She in NOT A MANAGER!
A manager assures the customer 100% satisfaction for the services the customer pays for, creates solutions to any situations that arise and maintains a positive business. She provides absolutely ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Reallu nice staff and very affordable rooms. The building is old but the service is personable.

The staff is very friendly, and the location is nice (walking distance to union square and chinatown). Main issue we came across is that there never seems to be much hot water for the shower, and we mostly ended up taking cool to cold showers.

Nice rooms. Pet friendly. If you have young children there are lots of power outlets that need to be guarded.

The hotel is very clean. The area is very quiet at night. I almost booked a hotel close to the fisherman's wharf area. Thank God I didn't. The fresh coffee and French bread was a nice touch for breakfast snack. Had a great experience and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

We stayed at the Laurel Inn while I was going through a Kidney Transplant at Ucsf… It was a cozy, comforting and Relaxing place to stay… Staff there was Awesome!

Everyone was so helpful! it was our first trip to San Fran and they helped us with directions and maps! Treated us wonderfully!

Have stayed here several times and enjoy the hotel and location. Secure parking on-site, charming neighborhood with restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. A short drive to beaches (would recommend Baker Beach, China Beach if you can find it, hiking the Lands End trails near the Legion of Honor) and the Palace of Fine Arts. The Laurel Inn is a wonderful Joie de Vivre property.

We stay at the Laurel Inn frequently as our daughter lives close by. The staff are friendly and helpful and treat all as if they are family. We usually have the suite. Which is nicely appointed and the rooms are good size. We have taken our dog from time to time and she is treated like a princess. It is so nice to have this small town attitude of friendliness.

Nice and quite located in SF. Parking is available but additional 25$per day. Breakfast is included but not more then a coffee and some pastries. Rooms are OK but missing bathtub, refrigerator and AC.

The place is extremely clean, contemporary, conviniently located. Loved it. Breakfast was great, plus free movies and cool boooks about San Fransisco. Free parking. Nice crowd of people at breakfast and dinner! Little noisy however, beads are too soft.

We won't stay anywhere else when we're in SF after choosing the Laurel Inn for our last visit. Rooms are cozy-comfy and stylish, the shampoo, conditioner and soaps are from a great company I'd not heard of before, and above all, the staff made our dog feel very important indeed. A dog bed, bones, treats and a welcome note just for him, were delightful. The location is great for us at least, as we love Presidio park, and the couch in front of the large window made a great place for Duane the dog and us to sit and watch the fog roll in. Definitely will stay here again and can't recommend it more highly for dogs and their human companions.
