For a 2 star hotel in this location, it met my expectations. It's in the sort of neighborhood where you're required to sign a form when you check in that states that the woman you are with us either your wife or your girlfriend. The AC worked great though! The bed was comfortable too. The shower worked well. So when it comes to the basic necessities, this place totally fit the bill. There was a strong baby powder scent, but I guess that's better than whatever it would smell like otherwise.

Disgusting… Sincerely disgusting, we sleep dressed, it's only one night but the sheets suck and smell that they pull back. It's very expensive for the den that is, the bathrooms. Well that. Better not to say anything. Is our last night and we've already booked for Booking if not? We don't stay here.

The place is great. Location is pretty nice. Not to far from Downtown LA or Hollywood stars. Wi-Fi is included. If you have a car there is parking for you also. Unfortunately the rule with no visitors kind of made the stay a tad boring since I'm from out of town and I have friends that would like to at least see where I'm staying.

Great location, bed was very comfortable, aircon very good and front desk very helpfull.

Ok room nice staff and clean but a little to expensive to be so far away from Hollywood strip.

I stayed for two nights a little while back for it's price and location. The parking lot can fill up quick so try to get there before the sun sets. The bathroom in our room has clean towels but wasn't clean itself. The window curtains didn't actually close and let a lot of outside light into the room after dark. There had been some repair work on a wall that was unfinished and dirty.

I stayed here for about nine weeks while relocating for work until I found an apartment. It’s not a Hilton or a Marriot but, it is comfortable and CLEAN. Much more so than the other places that I checked out in the Hollywood/Sunset area. To top it off, the owners and staff are incredible. I was treated like a royal guest. They really went above and beyond to make my stay there comfortable and enjoyable. The only reason that I’m not giving a five star rating is because some of the furnishings are old and the wall behind the shower is still in primer after new faucets were instaled. I know it’s minor but I reserve my five stars for par excellence. For the price and location, this place can’t be beat.

The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, the rooms were clean, the people were nice. No hot water on our first morning so had to take a freezing cold shower. The flooring in our room was newer but it was cheap faux barn wood vinyl. The rooms were spacious, the furniture old and worn. The walls are eggplant and mauve with olive green drapes, and a brown and grey bed covering. Don't know who their interior designer is… The room had a strong funky odor. Like a weird mix of cleaning products and air freshener sprays. There was no elevator so had to lug heavy suitcases up and down a flight of stairs. And just a community coffee pot by the office for your morning wake up needs. There was just a sheet and the thin bed covering on the bed and a blanket was needed on the chilly LA winter nights so had to turn on the heat to keep warm, which made the room stuffy. The train is easily accessible and there is food and groceries close by. Since we just needed a place to sleep, it suited our basic needs (unconfirtably) but if you are planning on needing more, I would look elsewhere.

The place is good and is easily accessible to Metro. Only thing is you need to carry your own water bottles and no complementary breakfast. But since metro is so near you can roam around LA with just a couple of dollars!

Room had odd odor. Bathroom ceiling had mold patch about 1 ft by 1 ft above shower. Carpet felt "waxy"; that's the best I can describe it. Would not stay here again.

This is a great little hotel. The room was a good size, bed was cozy, the was a flat screen, good quality, good channel options. Small gripes, no ice machine, limited parking, and our room was right next to the front desk, so we could hear people as they were checking in until we fell asleep.

I think the hotel is not so clean, but it is very well located. If you are going to be all day tourist is the perfect place for an affordable price.

Look, most reviews here seem honest but aren't. At least not in our case; where the very large, and private, room was clean and really quite nice. There is a view from the rear balcony of (half) the hollywood sign. It is very close to the walk of fame and all things touristy. The metro is 1 block away. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We were on our honeymoon and looking for cheap/well located; and this was the best experience we had so far in that regard. I would stay there again, and I'm usually a fussy traveler.

Great and cheap place to stay, very clean, easy on the pocket, staff is adjusting, 3 stops away from universal studios, walking distance from subway station. Great value for money.

My friend and I chose this place to save money and enjoy Hollywood. It was a place to sleep and that's what we wanted. Would have originally said that this was a decent UNTIL we found a USED heroin needle from the previous guests that wasn't disposed of. When I reported it the front desk they said "Sorry about that" and nothing further. I get they don't control the gross things people do, but I at least expect a clean room. Before I found the needle I had felt there was very minimal customer service but with no other responses it's pretty disgusting. Cheap isn't always better.

Stayed here for two weeks. Very nice, clean and friendly place. Rooms cleaned and beds made every day, No food or drinks served on the premises except coffee in the morning and a 24 HOUR vending soda machine, but fear not, there is plenty of places very local and good choice.

Not fancy but a large, clean room at a great price. Looks like the bathrooms had been redone in recent years and the paint was fairly new. Towels are a budget variety though and no hand towels. Location is good within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We especially like the proximity to Thai food. 'Not a quite neighborhood, though, seems like there are a lot of sirens — but maybe I'm just not used to big cities. Annoying chirping from hall smoke detectors.

Uboginko, but the place is good. There's a small parking lot, which is definitely a plus.

It is clean (this is the most important for me) and comfortable. Unfortunately it does not look nice: the furniture look old. But to spend a night travelling it is a good place, it is quiet even if it is in a very crowded area.

It was great! The owners are extremely nice and the rooms/location are good for the price.

It was okay. It was a little run down. But it looked safe and a good cost for a clean bed to sleep in.

Room 207: it stinks like smoke (last available room), it's dirty (yellow smoke) and old, there are cockroaches and morons in the parking lot next door who listen loop of the maria Carey at 3: 00 in the morning every day… Only the TV service is up-to-date! (Vod. ) suffice to say unnecessary because we are not to watch TV. The place could be well yet! The rooms are large, the hotel is next to a drugstore and supermarket open 24 h, Griffith Park is not far away… Too bad!

I would never ever stay at this place. I wouldn't even give them a star. I had a resevation set in advance for one month to my arival. I called one week before I was to be there, everything still okay. So I came into town early and went to office to see if I could come in early. Mined me I am not a small person. I had a tumor and my health and my body was not what it use to be. So any way. He said to me in these this way we have to room for big person no big bed. We have no reservations. I canceled. And found another place. Go to golenwest manor. It maybe further away but it's worth it. This place can go you no where. Haw dare you. For got one thing this place needs to closed down. Bed bugs lice. And mice.

I stayed at this hotel last weekend I saw the reviews and I was skeptical but I ended reserving at this hotel as a last resource since there was a problem with the hotel I originally made my reservation. I could say that my stay was ok I didn't experience anything of what people have said the only thing some funny smell when I first got into the room, but that was only the first day after that it was ok. For the price I would say it's ok especially if u only need a room to sleep in comfortably. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again when I go to LA thats based of course on my last experience which I have no complain.

Not a good place to stay. During the night, there is a lot of noise coming from the other rooms. Personnel doesn't do a thing about it. We had ants in our bathroom, the only thing they did was clean it up instead of preventing them from coning back. One day, we were unable to go somewhere because the car has been blocked by other parked cars so we couldn't get out. One day, we didn't get clean towels. This place is a no-go.

Pros: Centrally located; reasonable rate; seemed more or less clean; no problems with staff Cons: Separate Wi-Fi security key for each device; limited parking especially in the day time (though you can usually park on the street at night — maybe across the street at big supermarket. You won't see the Hollywood sign from your window, if that's what you're looking for.

It is close to red line subway. Parking is free. The room is clean and comfortable.

There was no parking even though free parking advertised. Place was filthy. Carpet stains, tear in sheet. Stains on pillowcase. Saw a cockroach. Not even an ice machine. Tissue stuck in peephole on door. I could go on and on. Ick.

I got what I expected. Big room, organized, parking, hot water and good located. For a good price. The TV doesn't work and they never fixed it.

This hotel did not have the iron and board advertised. They also had a coffee machine, but never had any coffee available. They even had a sign for guests to not touch it. There was no common area as advetised either. The room was too dark, the mirror too low to be useful. The carpet was filthy! There was too much noise from construction workers next door to think! Everyone there were Indians AGAIN! Discrimination! Where is the law of Equal Opportunity Employment and why doesn't it apply to these Indian owners of all the hotels along Sunset strip? It was next door to an all night CVS or similar store. That was convenient. The staff were polite, but not very helpful. They would not call a cab for me, but gave me the number to call. It was Indians who answered without saying it was a cab company. They were rude. This was their cab company referral at the hotel. More discrimination on Sunset Blvd hotels.

Guy at the front desk was a complete jerk. He wouldn't allow my friends to come visit for more than five minutes. We got security called on us and our car was blocked in by the owners car and we ended up leaving when he told us to either check out our kick our friends out. Unbelievably rude and inconsiderate. Didn't even attempt getting a refund, this guy wasnt gonna budge. Waste of money and ruined our amazing evening. Will NEVER go back here. You couldn't pay me to stay here.
