The location being close to LAX is great. Free shuttle — great. Rooms are small, basic and run down. Bed linen marked and had iron burns. Shower screen almost falling down. The lamp shades look like they have seen better days etc (you get the picture) Breakfast extremely basic. It's not the greatest but serves a purpose if you need something close to the airport.

I'm truly shocked by the 3.5 star rating. The only positive thing about this place was the close proximity to LAX and a major freeway. Outside of that, it was pretty bad. Walked into our non-smoking room to an overwhelming smell of smoke. Other than the beds being made and trash bags changed, nothing else had been cleaned in the room. There were even marijuana flower buds on the bedspread. There was no mini fridge in the room, so bringing refrigerated food to the room was a definite no. Overall would never stay here again. Ever.

Picked us up at LAX at 1:30 am. Nice simple room for price paid. Room has tv, safe, bed was comfortable. Staff was wonderful. Enjoyed the free shuttle. Drivers were fun and talkative. Breakfast was simple and welcomed. BELGIAN waffles, cereal, milk juice etc. Very filling.

Close to the airport, breakfasts included, restaurants nearby, but noisy rooms if side Boulevard. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable rooms, very close to the airport and with good service.

We arrived at 11pm from universal studios to a terrible experience. We reserved 3 double bed rooms that were close to each other and instead got 1 double and 2 single bed rooms. We asked if we could cancel since we weren’t going to fit, they refused even though couldn’t accommodate us properly. One of the single rooms we got was already occupied when we went into it. Then we got changed to another double room (that they didn’t want to give us earlier when we got there). The new room we got instead had weed in the toilet and wouldn’t flush. We asked for a change again, and were ask “do you really need the bathroom right now”, of course we need it! Then we were given two rooms to separate the three people who were going to sleep in that room. However each room was in a spectate building at this point which we argued about. They said they couldn’t give us a double bed room, then they processed to lie and said that they were going to give us two double bedrooms which they tricked us into taking. Both rooms only had one bed and one of them smelled like gas that was leaking from somewhere in the kitchen. At this point it was like 2 am and we were irritated so we dragged the mattress from the room that smelled like gas into the other room and slept like that.

Room smelled like mildew. We opened the windows to air out the smell. Bed, linens, bathroom are clean. Carpet was stained on some areas. If you want to check-in early (we arrived 10 minutes early than the check-in time) you will be asked to pay $15. There's an old fridge but no microwave. The room had an electric stove but no pots or pans to use to heat up your food. I called to ask how late can we check-out. I was told they don't allow late check-outs because of the volume of guests they expect every day. If you check-out even 5 minutes later than the usual time you will be charged additional $15.

The location is perfect to visit Los Angeles, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Close to LAX but not loud. You do have to pay for parking. The night clerk was a little mixed up and first put me in a room where there obviously was some one else staying. He not only apologized but gave me a free parking pass for the night.

Room was clean, too cold for pool use, but I enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the sparkling water. I left off a star because I don't think you should have to pay because you have a car. That stinks!

It was close to airport LAX plus conveniently in Westside toward Los Angeles. Only suggestion more coffee choices ☕ but the studio kitchen vibe was a great touch, was very quiet.

Pesimo service. They don't explain the benefits they have. Q say all you have to ask. And even doing it change everything in the end because it was not because they do not say the small letters. Pesimo muy Pesimo.

Not what I was expecting. The whole place has a sketchy vibe. It doesn't look like it does in the pictures. It smells like weed in front of the rooms. The rooms are depressing and bad and the pool had a sign saying "persons who have active diarrhoea shouldn't enter" which made me wonder why this sign had to be there so badly. It's near the airport and kinda far from the city centres. I wouldn't stay there again.

A quiet and close to the airport the hotel has a bus that works every hour from 4am to 11:55 am that take you to the airport for free.

I checked inn at this Travelodge in El Segundo and I payed with cash. I got a very good deal, being a Wyndham Rewards member. The next day I made another reservation and when I tried to pay with cash the hotel clerk said that I also needed a credit card for a 100 deposit. I mentioned that I wasn't required one last night and they still insisted I provide a credit card. I didn't have one so I had to check out. I can't believe this hotel would change their policy overnight!

Reserved a room for my sister who was returning to Germany. Her and her husband checked in around 11:00 AM and found the room run down and dirty they went to the Holiday Inn rented a room there while I was on the phone with Wyndham Hotels canceling their room. They returned picked up their luggage and the guy behind the counter charged then $60 telling them they stayed 4 hours. I called Wyndham Hotels back and was assured that they refunded all they money back to their card (we will see) just very rude service and the rooms are not up to par (run down and dirty) Everything would have been all good but for the $60 charge. REALLY? Reserve and stay here at your own risk. No stars!

The place is perfect to stay if you have a flight the next day, what is Pesimo is the amount of disposable dishes they have for breakfasts.

Great for spending a night before or after a flight. Beds are really comfortable, rooms are good. The room in which I stayed (double queen) had no kitchen, just a microwave.

Not poor, but not average. We were in town for an exam (USMLE Step 2 CS) and were extremely disappointed we stayed here. This was one of the cheaper motels in the areas so we hastily decided to book here. This was the smallest room I've ever seen — even smaller than a studio apartment. Overall the room was nice, good linens, clean, good TV channels. The carpet was stained (so we wore our shoes whenever stepping on carpet) breakfast was less than mediocre. They had bagels, waffles, packaged pastries, two types of cereal along with juice and coffee. The most part of the whole stay was being able to hear all of your neighbors — above, below and besides you. We could literally hear other peoples whole conversation perfectly. That made for a difficult night sleep, especially when your neighbors snore… Get a restful night sleep and stay somewhere else, it will be worth the extra money. Also, parking is $5/day and rooms do not have a microwave or fridge.

I stayed at the LAX South Travelodge overnight because I had a long layover. I now know, I should have slept at the airport. The shuttle to and from was okay. The driver was courteous and we arrived safely. The vehicle itself wasn't a minivan, like I was worried about, but a legitimate shuttle. The reservation process was quick, easy, and the representative was courteous and helpful. I have no complaints from a service perspective. However, the upkeep of the room was horrible. The upholstery and furnishings were not cared for and the room had roaches. The bathroom looked like the plastered something but didn't repaint and the tub needed to be replaced. It also smelled heavily of smoke and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Lastly, breakfast was laughable. We slept fully clothed, socks included, and opted to wash at our next destination. I know someone will say, "you get what you pay for" but I've paid the same amount for other discount hotels and had significantly better stays. If the room was sans roaches, maybe I would be more forgiving with my rating.

Start. The shuttle at the airport can not wait if you have not called and have not asked for you to come. I was given the key to the room, and when I went into it, I saw things that were wrong. Mixed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Relatively clean. But considering all the costs it was possible to settle in a network hotel directly side with the port.

Kinda underwellemed, for $122. But they do try. The coffee is way to weak & only frosted cereals. No yogurt, or cream cheese for the bagels. Sacrilege. The bed was very comfortable.

A good place to stay for a night before flying from LAX. Our room was relatively small, but clean. The furnishings seemed a bit old, but were acceptable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the free shuttle, we were at the airport in less than 15 minutes. Although this motel is just a few blocks away from the airport, no planes start overhead, so it isn't too loud outside. The breakfast selection was okay — I enjoyed the self-made waffles the most! Several restaurants and a few small shops are nearby. Fast and free Wi-Fi. Note: Parking costs $5 extra per day!

Way better hotels to stay in the area. The hotel had a recent renovation and looks decent. However the people who are staying there attract a lot of police attention.

The service and room cleanliness was great. This is an older hotel. It could use a remodeling job. Our room was small, but okay. The price was a bit higher than other, primarily due to a high tax they charge in California. Great location from the airport and good restaurants nearby. Shuttle service guy was really nice!

Great for a quick place to stay for a night. We loved the airport shuttle to LAX. This is why we chose to stay here. Our driver was friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and well kept. Great for price. They offer free breakfast until 9.30 AM and do charge $5 for parking.

I like it because it's bare bones and inexpensive. If you need to be in El Segundo for a night or two, just yourself, it's perfect. All the basic stuff, shower, bed, AC, TV works fine. I checked for bedbugs and it was clean as a whistle. Close walking distance to everything you need. Parking was easy. No elevator though, so I just request a first floor room when making reservation.

Only reason 4 stars & not 5 is because of the size of the room. The single queen rooms are tiny. Closet and bathroom doors bump into other walls when opening. Very little waking room around the bed. But the place was clean. No complaints about the linens or bathroom. Probably a great place to stay in between fights, but definitely not for extended vacationing.

The place was what I needed for a long lay over. 1 star for being made a member of the loyalty programme after specifically asking not to be and being assured my email address would not be used. Don't do it fellas.

Absolutely terrible! We had bedbugs and when we brought evidence to the front desk, they refused to move us, refund us or let us talk to management. We left several message via phone and email and never heard back. Do not stay there!

I stayed at the El Segundo travelodge back in 2012. I decided that 4 years was ample time to cool down and really absorb my experience. My stay was kicked off when I was cut off in the hotel lobby check in by a rude group of 40+ obese people. Apparently they have never stayed at a hotel as their check in took almost 45 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Once I was finally checked and entered my room I observed that It was small, yet quaint and reminded me of the whimsical bed and breakfast I frequent while back packing through Maine in the summers. The only difference was the stale fart odor that greeted me at the door and was reminiscent of a long airline flight. The hotel room it self appeared to be clean at first glance, my opinion of this changed when I noticed what appeared to be fecal matter splattered on the hotel wall and mirror. I can only assume this was the work of the "poopie bandit" as I have encountered his antics in other hotel establishments while touring the county. The bed was not as comfortable as my king sized temperpedic mattress at home but it did the job. The next morning I woke up bright and early in order to take advantage of the main attraction of the travelodge, the continental all you can eat breakfast. I made my way to the hotel lobby only to find the same group of 40+ people camped out and eating all the food for the patrons.

Okay place for the price. Not really close to any amenities or restaurants. Good Wi-Fi, mediocre breakfast.

Worst place. Dont go there. I called them and asked do they pick up from LAX. They simply just hangup the phone. They did it twice. Super bad Customer service.

When we check in we were given the wrong room and were told the room that we booked didn't exist. There is no such room as a queen bed with sofa bed and whirlpool. When we were given the wrong room, two big cockroaches ran up the wall. Don't stay here unless you like cockroaches and getting overcharged.

It's an inexpensive hotel in El Segundo. It's not in amazing shape, but it serves the purpose of being a good place to start an LA journey from.

For it being last minute, the service is prompt and was in and out… no problems… I would stay in the future…

Clean room, with an ironing board. Breakfast was basic but included in the room. Very close to LAX so convenient for travel to the airport.

Travel lodge was perfect with for last minute situation. I did not know the day before the I would be in L. A. There is a major bus line a block a way (Metro 232). They even have a LA shuttle which I did not know what about. The room was super clean and has the standard amenities. They have a few different size rooms but this was the smallest by far. It would not be good for a family. Also they offer a continental breakfast.

It is simply just ugly dirty, noisy.

Wasn't bade, you get what you pay for, decent for the price, close to air port and free Wi-Fi, I mean its not the Marriott, but who spends all day in the hotel anyway. I didn't complain.

Really rude service from the lady in the front desk. I called from the airport, they sent a shuttle and then said they had no rooms for one day stay. I went to have rest during an stopover and I just got the opposite. Not recommended at all. Besides That, the shuttle service could be up to every 3 hours. Otherwise the charge 12 usd on top. Ridiculous!

Owner has policy to give rooms away, on first come first serve basis, regardless of reservation. I know this both from personal experience and from testimonies of knowledgeable people that I encountered. Avoid late check-ins.

I read the other reviews but saw enough good things to book it anyway. Stayed one night. Service at the front desk was prompt. The compound from the outside is not much to look at. However, the inside is like an oasis in a concrete jungle. Gorgeous well — maintained landscaping. Room was really clean and modern. Such a positive experience I'll be staying again next week.

Customer service was horrible. I stood at the front desk for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. There was two people at the front desk and none bothered to even say anything. One was on the phone and the other was just sitting there. I was told over the phone several times before arrival that I could request a roll away bed if needed. I planed on having my son over for a night or two. Upon requesting one on arrival I was told they would get me one. I later received a call questioning how many guests I had and harassing me as to how many guests I could have in the room. (after I had already explained this to the front desk prior to making a reservation). They refused to move us to a bigger room. The break feast was a joke. It was completely messy with cereal and spilled liquid all over the place. The trash was overflowing and there was obviously plenty of staff to take care of it. The internet was down about 30% of my four day stay. The room and air conditioner smelled like urine. The hotel facility itself was no bad at all. This place definitely needs new management. They need to start by training and/or simply hiring front desk staff with better manners and people skills. The information given needs to be consistent with the actual hotel policies. This was just a bad experience. We travel frequently and hardly ever deal with so many issues at once. Again with better management, I think this hotel has the potential to offer so much more.

Decor, carpets and mostly everything in between pretty grubby, guy on the desk is about 150 years old and slightly abrupt. Fills the job we booked it for though comfortable bed and clean bathroom. What over priced due to the proximity to the airport.

We needed a place to stay at the airport when we got in on a late flight. I booked this online. One of my worst lodging experiences. We requested a no smoking room and the room stunk of smoke. We had to pay $15 for the free shuttle to the airport in the morning to pick up my rental car. The room was clean.

Ok, its not the Four Seasons but its cheap and you get a bed and shower. Don't get the downstairs. You will hear everything from the second floor. Walls are super thin! Breakfast is cereal, muffins and waffles. No eggs, bacon or sausage like the Holiday Inn. The bed were cheap and blankets were not comfortable but they came in and cleaned everyday. If you want cheap, its ok but I've stayed at better places….

First the front desk person was very rude. Then when we got into the room it was filthy. My 10 month old had black hands and legs from crawling on the floor. I asked the front desk person if they had a cleaner room we could move to. He asked to come look at my complaint so I showed him what my son looked like. He then proceeded to tell us that they vacuum it every-time someone stays there and that all hotels will have dirt on them. We've been staying in hotels for the past week and haven't had this issue. The tub smelt like an ashtray and the bedding was really gross. He said he could do a refund to get our stuff out and bring him the cards. So we did just that only to be told that we had to do it through travelocity the company who we booked with. I contacted them and they called the front desk and he said that we could only be refunded for the second night since we used the room. We used it for a half hour and they would not refund us one cent. Again, the front desk agent was extremely rude and unprofessional. While I was waiting for him he being very stern with other another customer on the phone. I will never stay at this Hotel again and will inform many others the same. We stayed at a Travel Lodge in logan UT and it was night and day difference. I told him he will lose a lot of business if we wasn't willing to do any type of a refund and he simple said, "Ok". Do not stay here especially if you have young children.
