The house keeper forgot to make my bed. No big deal. But when there was a fly with my lunch it was not funny. Then to add insult to injury the waitress had me pay for my meal halfway through because she had to close and leave at 2 pm. To the suggestion that she could have waited or passed the docket to a workmate the Chef in charge said, “there is nothing she could have done. ”

After arriving into LAX about 7am we came to the hotel and were told that no rooms were available and we can store our bags, great! It's early, I understood. After being out all day my friend, who actually works for Hilton and got us a deal on this room, called and was told by SOMEONE at the front desk, no we did not get a name, that the room will be ready between 12-1pm! So we stop what we are doing and head to the hotel only to be told that there are still not any rooms available and we now have to wait until 3pm. DON'T QUOTE A TIME IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHEN ROOMS WILL BE READY! that is beyond frustrating! I work front desk CURRENTLY at Hyatt, thank god, and one thing that y'all can do better is having ALL of your staff on the same page. One lady said she would send a band aid up, one guy said you have to come down and get it. When we asked for more bath towels, one person questioned us and said we have to give the others back to get new ones — housekeeper came up and didn't even wait nor ask for the used bath towels! Also the whole thing with the early check-in — train your staff to NOT quote times! That's the worst thing to do when you have a lot of guests waiting on rooms. Just a little advice for ya ;) I still give the 3 stars because at least your staff was friendly and your cookies were DELICIOUS!

The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly. This was a great place to stay at when my wife and I were flying out from LAX the following morning. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Loved the room and the service was amazing. Only downside was the parking lot was always full and had to park in the parking structure across the street on the top floor every night because the other floors were for the other company who had shared parking. I have a injured knee and had to take the stairs down one floor to get to the elevator.

What an excellent hotel! Inside the room was a little outdated. Close to the airport, hut trust me you won't hear any of the planes. Bar was very basic and closes right on the dime and way too early. Parking was a bit of a pain. Had to walk across the court yard and to the sixth floor of the parking garage. If your at the parking garage be sure to check out the Matel helicopter landing pad. See photo.

My friends and I stood here for her birthday they were very kind and polite we were coming from out of town and booked through expedia. Sadly there were some misunderstandings on the site we booked it on but they were able to accommodate for the things Expedia had said we paid for. I recommend to fix the options for the website so this problem doesn't continue to occur with your guests. Great front desk girls so sweet sent us treats and a bottle of champagne for my friends birthday. Thanks so much! Great stay and a good price, nice workers very helpful, and close to the airport and beaches!

Came here power was put when I got back. People working were nice and helpful only reason I didn't knock it to 1 star. But no other help from Corp besides wait or get another hotel is awful… should have been compensated.

Ole Duphus is a Hilton Diamond member. This location appears to be good from the front. But rooms are in need of remodel Also self parking is across the street from the entrance. You have to walk across the street and park in a structure with limited ground level parking and the other areas you are allowed to park are several floors up. A lot of walking if u have a car. Not much focus on my Diamond status. Wasn’t even offered the honors floor. I won’t stay here in the future.

Nice location near LAX about 2 miles away. Good restaurant and modern rooms. Plenty of valet or self parking. Service was good from valet check in and waiters. In a safe corporate area.

I really like the hotel, but the parking is a pain. Valet is offered, but the self park is across in a parking garage. First floor are about 15 spots at most… then you have to go to the 7th floor for more parking allocated to the hotel. So if you miss the first floor spots, you have a 5 minute drive to set more parking allocated to the hotel. No lie, it takes about 5 minutes to get to the top floor. Thankfully there is an elevator to get up and down to the top floor of parking. So if not driving or using valet, then come here. Otherwise keep in mind the parking challenge when choosing.

The downstairs facilities are fantastic and always clean. Room service and cleaning always did a phenomenal job but it is dated a little. My sink backed up and I entered to no toilet paper but they fixed that quickly. By far the best service was Juan at the bar/ restaurant downstairs. Made my stay 10x better and I’d stay here a thousand more times if I was sure he’d be here. Definitely worth it, love Hilton!

My husband I just stayed at this hotel over the weekend. The room was clean and the best part was the bed. It was very comfortable! But parking was charged separately (paid for the room prior to arrival) which I am not use to. We had two choices either valet park for $18/daily or park in a shared garage across the street for 15/daily. No continental breakfast offered only a restaurant inside the hotel. In my opinion, a very basic hotel not very fancy. The customer service is pretty good and so is the valet.

New owners, not always a good thing. The parking is now overly expensive for no reason and the hotel staff isn't as friendly. They didn't have electricity and told me that I could still stay (didn't expect to have power back until the next day) or they would graciously not charge me for cancelling. I asked where they could put me up instead and the lady behind the desk said I'd have to figure that out on my own. I'd stayed at this hotel numerous times before, and am a Diamond member with Hilton. I've never before been spoken to like that. Needless to say, I took my business somewhere else and won't be back.

Nice clean rooms, little expensive for food and drinks, was told they had shuttle for the airport upon reservation and check in but when I went to check out I was told there was no shuttle and had to pay for a taxi. Only to find out from the taxi driver that they should have taken care of that and not me. I will be complaining. Otherwise nice stay.

The Hilton App says this place has a shuttle to the Airport. They DON'T have a shuttle and they no longer offer Uber to compensate. Staff is rude and calloused. Manager does not seem interested in guest concerns. Elevators are not well maintained. You're better off taking the stairs. The stairs case was packed full of chairs and unused equipment. If you like Hilton properties, stay at another one. Avoid the DoubleTree if you can.

My hubby and I really enjoyed this property. It was very peaceful, clean and the service was great. From the valet to the Check in service. We plan to return to this property soon.

Hotel seemed nice at first, but came back to my room one night and there were ants everywhere! Hotel staff didn't seem to care and I still had to ask to get my room changed. Manager said "oh its just ants" when she came to look! Makes me think this is not unusual…

Good location for a concert at the Forum! Very friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever visiting this part of Los Angeles.

The manager and staff truly impressed me during a recent visit to LA. Even though I was not a guest at this hotel, the staffers and management went out of their way to help me. Based upon my experience with this team, I will certainly make a point to stay at DoubleTree in the future. Well done!

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Five minutes from LAX. Free shuttle too and from hotel. Pool, hot tub. Elevators are slow but they are upgrading them. Happy hour from 5-7.

A great hotel close to LAX, with probably the nicest staff I've had the opportunity to meet! The evening supervisor, whose name I cannot remember (sorry) was incredibly welcoming. My niece and had traveled on her birthday, and she was talking about how great a birthday she'd had. After check in, there was a knock on our door from room service — the staff delivered two yummy birthday desserts (complete with candles) and a birthday card for my niece — she was bowled over! The next morning at checkout, the shuttle to the airport wasn't available, but the front desk staff ordered an Uber for me and picked up the tab! A great hotel and a great experience for this traveler :)

New and improved. This is the old Hacienda hotel. New buildings with additional rooms and bar. Close to LAX but not under the landing pattern. Good location close to shopping or beach. New and improved equates to higher prices.

We recently holidayed in LA. We opted for double tree as it was close to the airport. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The room was very neat and clean. The room service took care and did the best job every day. The amenities we're easily reachable like the parking lot and pool and the gym. Loved the stay all together.

The place is nice but the carpet in the bedroom had a couple of steins. The one thing that got me mad was that the morning we were living, We went to have breakfast and it was like a buffet so we starting taking some eggs and sausages, but when we were sitting eating the restaurant manager approach us and ask if we had a complementarity breakfast coupon and I replied that we were offered a continental breakfast. And he said that we may to pay for the breakfast. I got really upset and said if only one section of the table was free why didn't any said something or at least have a sign for it. He replied that they were busy and that he has been asking for the sign for a while but the hotel managers have not listen to him. He was a nice guy and understood our frustration with the whole thing and didn't charge us for the breakfast. His name is Nestor he was very professional and offered us an apology and said that the same thing has happened before. So to the hotel manager get this poor guy a sign or do something about otherwise you will keep getting complaints. Everything else was good. Thank you Nestor.

Very efficient and courteous Service. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, etc. The free shuttle to the airport was available in front of the door as needed.

The rooms were clean and the location is fairly close to LAX. Doing business nearby put me within walking distance. The food in bar is pretty decent and priced like a normal hotel kitchen. Overall a good experience. Would stay again.

Fantastic Hotel. Very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. I had an issue with several things my first night and when I reported them they were fixed by the time I got back to my room that evening with no fuss or difficulty. Will stay here again.

Fantastic customer service in the bar from Brice the bartender and Amanda the server. He knows his way around the bar and has a vast knowledge of mixed drinks. Brice is great with customers. Amanda is the most professional waitress that also steps in to serve every customer with 5 star service. This is a win, win for the Doubletree Hotel El Segundo. The front desk offers good service but, the bar and restaurant is just simply great.

Got a king suite. Room was dirty. Bandaids on the wall and trash not emptied from previous guests. Also hot tub was closed but sign was only on one door so a guy came out yelling at us saying… can you not read. Horrible experience. Wont stay here again. Not worth the $

Good hotel, convenient to many restaurants and shops. What I like about this hotel are the employees, who are very attentive and friendly, and will have to take you to the airport. The rooms are good.

I had drinks and a meeting in room 509 and was pleasantly surprised with the taste of Peroinis out the hotel fridge and server talk with the boss. The only thing that I can think of to gripe about would have to be the entrance in and how confusing it is was to navigate through the Mattel 'Private Property' 'No Parking Except for Mattel Employees' signs that had me spending an extra five minutes circling around the bordering streets until the only choice I had was to be like Hasbro and blow Mattel off. This is the way to park and enter the double tree, ignore the Matell signs and save yourself a u-turn for the best experience possible.

No problem with arriving past midnight and check-out was a breeze. Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk personnel were very welcoming. I will definitely return to this hotel when visiting Los Angeles.

Everything about this place is great. Starting from the free parking, the service; a welcome with warm chocolate chip cookies in a cold night was great. The room nice and clean. Will definitely stay there again.

I stay here a lot and practically live here. With that being said, they are great here! The staff is super friendly and helpful! Clean rooms and nice pool.

Horrible experience waiting for shuttle at LAX. The hotel is only about 5 minutes from the airport and it still took them an hour. Waited almost an hour for a shuttle after talking to front desk receptionist 3 times. We waited so long that other shuttle companies were coming by and asking where we needed to go because they saw us waiting there so long. The front desk receptionist was so incompetent and never offered an apology after I talked to her and told her how long we have been waiting. I would never ever stay there again, horrible experience and the hotel is just ok. Don't take the chance find somewhere else to stay it's not worth it. This was Saturday night Mar 26th 2016 after flying in from Orlando. What a joke. They need to fire their incompetent receptionist.

The hotel is an interesting blend of old and new. It is very obvious that the base structure is pretty old, but they did some extremely good internal renovations to make the place interesting and trendy. I did notice here and there that some of the renovations are not the highest quality (like loose faucets/tub faucet, some small furnisher issues) but overall the renovations seem great quality and pretty expensive. Food is extremely expensive so if you are not being covered by a company, expect to pay about 20 bucks for pickup from there restaurants or 25 for room service per person for breakfast and a little bit more for dinner. Staff was pretty good other than them forgetting to call me when my food was ready. I would recommend this place overall but perhaps feel that unless they fix all the small issues, it's hard to call this place a luxury hotel. But it is pretty close to it!

It was well priced. Easy to book, if you sign with HHonors you can check in and choose the room you like online yourself! When you arrive you get a warm chocochip cookie. The amenities is complete and the place is clean. The wall was pretty thin, and we were woken up 6am by next room girls chatting loudly. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

This is a nice hotel. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. The only thing that you have to know is that for a pickup at the airport, you have to call them. They do not have a regular airport shuttle that runs consistently like many hotels in the area do. Other than that, great stay!

My family and I stayed here a few days ago. Location is south of LAX in a quiet, office building enviornment. Parking is free (probably why we chose it, as parking fees can be steep around the airport). There was plenty of parking spots. The hotel offers king bed rooms or rooms with two double beds. This is unusual because most have two queens… with two adults and two kids we were cozy. The beds were very comfortable. One feature that I appreciate in hotels are USB ports. There were two on the nightstand and two on the desk along with two outlets on each. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. We used the hot-tub in the evening and the pool the next day. No complaints. We did not eat at the hotel.

Nice hotel. Overall the design felt older (not very high ceilings, older fixtures and bathroom layout) but the rooms were clean and well maintained. Incredibly helpful staff. Nice gym/fitness room. Nice bar. Wi-Fi speed was average for a hotel but it did provide good coverage. Close to LAX and to nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Guys don't book this Hotel it sucks. They don't have a lot of parking space and they won't do anything if your car get damage. They didn't pay anyting or do anything to our car and it was their fault. Also they need some maintenance. The shower desnt have a lot of pressure. Also the room service is not good. I made a mistake booking this hotel. I recommend you not to book this hotel. I would rather book best western.

The bathtub had some mud which smells so bad. Called front desk several times but all they say is we will send someone to take care of it soon like 2 hours ago. They dont even put us in another room. Worst decision to stay at double tree by hilton at el segundo. Worst services. Definitely not recommended. Better to stay in your car.

Nice quiet rooms right next to the airport with shuttle. A family somehow forgot theory luggage at the hotel and the shuttle turned around which was rude to the other passengers, but its a weird situation to be in as a driver. I hope he got a good tip from them because the other passengers were upset.

Friendly staff, quiet and comfortable rooms. Staff really helped us out when we had nowhere to stay and many places were booked up.

Stayed here overnight to catch an early flight at LAX. Great friendly staff and an excellent breakfast! Perfect location next to LAX yet still quiet. They also provide affordable multiday parking for flying in and out of LAX. Will definately still here again!

I won't stay at this hotel again. Staff were friendly, but that is the only nice thing I have to say about this place. Shower was horrible, no water pressure, and I asked another guest if his was the same, Yes. My room was next to kitchen swamp cooler, woke up everyday at 4:30 am. I asked to move rooms but they were unable to accommodate, due to no rooms being available. Overall I would stay somewhere else, this hotel does not live up to the Hilton name, more like a Best Western.

Hotel needed some maintenance. Shuttle was very slow with pickup from airport. Staff was very friendly though!

Had great experience as it was my wife and I's first time in California! The hotel was clean and everyone of the staff members were very helpful and friendly! I would recommend this hotel!

Great hotel! Ericka Holloway, night manager, is amazing! Not only was she the only one working during the 4th of July weekend, (as the check-in line was out the door) but handled all guests professionally and with A Smile! She rocked! And because of that, anytime I return home, I'm returning back there for my stay.

Good service, resturant serves excellent good, Wi-Fi is horrible tho.

This hotel is below average. Rooms are just okay. The restaurant is so-so. Wi-Fi is frequently poor. And don't try doing anything non-standard. Staff tends to mess it up. Embassy Suites is a much better choice.

Friendly staff, great beds, great location. Did I say something about the wonderful staff? That's a big part of my decision making process. I got in late from a wonderful dinner one evening and had no place to park in front of the hotel, I was destined to park in the parking lot (not too far away). There was a security guard and a hotel employee and I asked if that was my only alternative. They told me to 'please' take one of the reserved spots in the front. Now that was service.

The company I work for always sends employees to this hotel and every time my room is very clean and organized. The temperature in the room was just right. My bed was amazing I was well rested. I haven't tried the food in the dining area, but overall I was comfortable and the staff was pleasant.

Absolutely fantastic for layovers @ LAX! Super clean, great customer service, very close to Walgreens, Ralph's Supermarket, shopping centre, restaurants and much more. This is my second time staying here. Whenever I have a layover in LA I will always choose Double Tree without a doubt. Best of all. FREE parking as I always have rental when in LA, and you get a warm soft cookie upon check in! Yum.
