The hotel itself was nice, the pool was great, but they hit you with so many ridiculous extra fees. We already spent a few hundred a night to stay there and then they added an additional “hotel fee” per night. Uh…isn’t paying over $200 a night already enough? They also charge $48 a night to park in their lot. You can park in the public lot that’s attached for about $20 but then you can’t leave and come back. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere but the music was way too loud. I asked the bartender to turn it down and they turned it up higher!
It was like club La Casita…at noon…

Very friendly staff! I'm a bit late on the review, but goodness did my girlfriend and I have an amazing time here. An ideal location and the pool was wonderful. Sitting poolside, sunbathing during breakfast was unbeatable 👍

The decor, the atmosphere, the staff and general vibe is great. Spent our 10year anniversary there and got a room upgrade and a couple of cocktails such a nice gesture. The room looks over the pool and has a huge shower and bed right by the Staples Centre ideal for basketball fans.

I can’t say enough good things about the Hotel Figueroa! I think it was the best hotel stay I’ve ever had. The entire staff is professional and accommodating — they go out of their way to give you a personalized experience.

Really very cool hotel and we love our room. The entire place is wonderful 1920s architecture.

The rooms are tiny. There is no dresser and most importantly no desk. The place was built in 1926 and smells old. I travel for business pretty often. While there may be a market for a place like this I hate it. I think for $2600 a week I shouldn't have to call daily about something they forgot, like coffee. Half the time the TV doesn't work until you go thru the menu a few times. Overall I am highly unimpressed.

Staying here for two nights and Andrew at the front desk was able to upgrade us as we arrived. Parking was kind of confusing and hard to notice at first. But we figured it out and it was right next door. Parking is about 50 bucks but it is convenient. They even allow text pick ups now which is cool. The traffic getting here sucked but what do you expect in Los Angels, right. Rooms do look as in the picture very nice and clean. Would recommend the stay and Andrew for any help.

A downtown jewel. Bran New, hip and cool! The hotel is modern and beautiful. The service team is friendly and attentive. The crafted cocktails here are super yummy. Every meal I had is full of taste. Three places to dine and multiple bars.

Wonderful boutique-esque hotel in the heart of downtown. What makes Hotel Figueroa feel special is that it has a sense of character to it, whereas a lot of its competition feels pretty corporate. Definitely check out the bar since it has amazing gin & tonics. Rooms were well appointed.

I recently attended a food and beverage event at Hotel Figueroa. The ambiance in the lobby and the bar area is unexpected. Elegant yet down to earth. You really get the vibe of downtown LA. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful. If I had to give one suggestion, it would be to crank up the AC a bit. It was a little bit warm. I'll definitely be back.

A deluxe suite was very comfortable with complementary bottled water and snacks. The decor was updated and fresh with a modern feel. There is a bus stop across the street and plenty options nearby. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and available. I would definitely say it was worth the money. The only negative thing I would say is that it felt upscale, which I recognize may be a desirable trait.

What a nice surprise in the hustle of LA downtown. Drank at 2 of the 3 bars they have. Great vibe by the pool — all inside the hotel area. Really good friendly atmosphere. Staff were on point — very polite and friendly. We went for the classic king room. Loved our room, had a Spanish feel, tiled/stone bathroom floor, dark wooden beams, nice separate seating area, where you could watch tv, have a coffee and eat some of the snacks provided free. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Highly recommend a stay — perfect location to staples/Microsoft center. Will definitely be returning next time we are in LA.

The staff at the restaurant were not very friendly but the staff at the bar in the back were amazing! Jessica, the amazing server at the bar in the back, behind the pool, was fantastic, welcoming, accommodating, checked on us often, memorized all our drink orders (there were 11 of us), and even recommended some drinks that were delicious. She made our night a success!

This hotel is beautiful! The restaurants are tasty, the room was beautiful and quiet. This has a boutique feel and everything was CLEAN. Love all of the finishes (feels very lux). Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect and walkable, and the Uber rides were cheap if you don't feel like walking! Highly recommend!

Rooms are nice but could be bigger. Complementary snacks and water are a plus. IPads in the room doubling as everything is a nice touch but the iPad also doubles. As. Everything. The thing I liked most about this place was the pool access, the bars located in the hotel and it's location. The only thing I would say that this hotel needs is probably new carpet, a light renovation but other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Hotel staff was top notch, very helpful and understanding.

Really friendly staff. Parking is pretty expensive. The room I was in was small but really nice. Very comfortable bed, motion sensor lights, remote blinds, restroom doesn't have a lock and not 100% private so careful if you have company. Pool area is really cool with an on-site bar that's open even after the actual pool closes. Overall great stay and loved the fact it's walking distance to LA Live.

After remodel hotel feels cozy with artist inspired decor. Service was good staff was willing to assist with common hotel requests. 50 dollar fee to park your car overnight is pretty absurd as a hotel guest but parking is limited in the area.

The rooms really are not all that sound proof. We didn't notice this as we arrived at 1 am, but heard hallway and next room noise clearly in the morning. Quality furnishings. Staff at the hotel are prompt, helpful and readily available.

Rick's is a great kind-of poolside bar (there's a glass wall between bar and pool; pool is just for hotel guests). Would be nice if there was some food. Luckily the bar inside has food.

I loved this hotel. Had a wonderful experience with my daughter for a mother and daughter weekend and was absolutely delighted. The décor is super cool for a boutique hotel and the staff is wonderful. Plenty of free snacks and water in the room. I heard that the hotel has been renovated and they did a great job with it! Great place in downtown LA!

The staff is wonderful but the room we had was awful. First of all the bathroom door was one of those new style doors that hangs on a roller with opaque glass. It hung about an inch from the wall and let’s just say, we’re family but we aren’t THAT close. The room was one big bathroom. The phone didn’t work so I had to use my cell phone to call downstairs to get tell them the shower also didn’t work. I was told someone from engineering would be up to fix the shower. I really didn’t want to stand in my pajamas while a stranger did repairs on something that should work in the first place. I wanted to shower while it was still dark so I didn’t scar my kids for life not the horrifying strip tease in front of peekaboo glass. We are a simple people. We need a working bed, shower, phone and privacy. Fail on all four. Firm pass on ever returning.

Beautiful hotel, helpful friendly staff, gorgeous rooms the beds are divine. The resturaunts connected to the hotel are fabulous. The staff are so well trained and my husband will stay again in a heart beat. Not to mention walking distance to EVERYTHING. What a stay!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and loved the accommodations. The Veranda bar and restaurant had a chicken dinner that was so great and the cocktails were just as good. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in town.

This is such a nice place! I stayed here years ago before the remodel. It's more stylish now. Employees are super cool and friendly. Great place for drinks.

Perhaps the hotel has a certain amount of refurbished rooms (like the flagship rooms that are on the photos on Google Maps) but that is then a gamble to get such a. ☹ ️ I can only advise from the experience of this hotel…

Hotel Figueroa, one of the best leading hotels in Downtown LA. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants all along the street of figeuroa. Rooms are great and always clean. The service is wonderful; always treated with respect and care during my stays at Hotel Figueroa.

Very nice place to visit and stay kinda pricey but I'm was very much Happy with the service.

It is still under construction but you see that the place is going to be very elegant!

In my opinion, the hotel is really nice. It is centrally located and almost everything is very easy to reach. Of course, you also have to make small swabs at a town hotel. The staff is very friendly and also motivated. I would fly back there at any time. But you can always argue about taste. It is best to fly and check in yourself and have your own experiences. I can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience.

Stayed here a few weeks back once I heard they were done with a few upgrades around the hotel. Let me tell you this place is worth a visit. First off the check in/ check out was very quick. The bed was really comfortable, I challenge you to find a better one at this price point. However the piece de resistance, was the pool area. Not only did they make me a proper whiskey sour at the bar, the view was very nice. Will recommend to my friends.

My wife book a room for us when the Rolling Stones concert was in town… my wife purse was missing in our room so we tossed the room up looking for it!? Couldn't leave a tip cash was in her purse… later on in the day the manager called and was very rude saying we had left the room a mess… never again will I stay at this haunted looking hotel.

Reasonable prices. Close to convention center/LA live area. Current construction in the immediate area makes it a bit busy and harder to get around.

We are Hilton Honor members and stay at Hilton's whenever possible. Was a little worried about this one since it is right at the airport. However, Hilton never let's me down. We reserved the large double room and it was huge! You could fit 3 more queen beds in here and still have room for sitting! Was a little surprised and disappointed that there wasn't a fridge. We had the 3rd floor which had 2 exterior slides that went to the pool. Great place, easy access to the freeways and can't hear the planes!

Greetings, My wife and I came to visit your hotel on the last night before renovations. We were greeted very warmly by your staff. We were given a tile from the hotel, and invited to all of the many parties all around the hotel, so we all of our needs were taken care of, and the needs of our dogs. We were given a room that overlooked the amazing pool, and LA Live. We had a phenomenal night in and around the hotel. The next morning we enjoyed our complementary breakfast. We went to the front desk and asked when check-out was. We were told noon which was 5 or so minutes away, So we asked for some extra time, the wonderful girl behind the counter said we could take our time… So I asked for like an hour or so … they were like take 2 hours… So we went outside to take some pictures… I needed to get some sun screen, so we went up to our awesome room to get some sun screen an maybe some man and wife time. We get up to our room only to be greeted by a very unpleasant man who clearly was in our room but was denying it, but by the dogs demeanor, it was clear he was in the room. In a most gruff and unfriendly manor he told us it was time to check out. We explained that we spoke to the front desk and they told us we had until 2pm to check out. Unfazed, he said we needed to get out now. We were in no way were prepared to check out. While still maintaining my composure, I asked this security guy to give us 30 minutes to get our things together and we would be right down.

A fabulously appointed Hotel I have visited till now. It is technically not up-to-date for right in the middle of L. A. Fun, and "Moroccan". Enough for a couple of Nights.

Bed was very comfortable. Lighting was terrible in both room and bathroom — — low wattage light bulbs and not enough lighting fixtures/lamps. Hotel provided a couple of extra lamps. Took lampshades off to provide more light. Room was clean. Plenty of towels. Lighting in lobby also dark. Convenient location. Would stay again after hotel is renovated.

Bed was uncomfortable. Was unable to have a romantic evening b/c it felt like you were falling through the bed. The room was hot and you couldn't even fit into the bathroom without hitting your head. It's tiny and awful. The shower leaks A TON! I slipped and if I had hurt myself, ya damn right this would have been free! Of course, hearing the noise of the city sucked, but you can't really get around that. And I think it's a waste of money and water to have a pool / jacuzzi close at 9 pm in DOWNTOWN LA. I mean, we're in cali, in a drought, and the hotel would rather cater to winos. I understand most people like to drink, but some of us want to live long and healthy lives so it would have been cool to have chilled and relaxed rather than hang out with drunk people who can't dance. Which I didn't. I went upstairs to have fun, but even that was not plesant! Just saying, this experience could have been more comfortable at the very least! 1 ☆ is a compliment, I wish I could give ZERO ☆. Hopefully the bubbles in the jacuzzi work! DO NOT STAY HERE. I repeat, waste of money — bad vibes. Drunk ppl everywhere!

My brother and I stayed here before the renovation that is currently going on in the hotel. The Morrocan theme is really nice and cozy. It gives the entrance hall a special and mysterious feel. The rooms are very small. We were visiting for 3 weeks coming from Germany and had two big suitcases each. It was a bit of a problem to find a good place to store these away. The location is very central but you don't hear too much of the streets outside. Really quite hotel unless there is a pool party going on :D The room could be a tad bit cleaner. If you are looking for a parking lot use the one on the right side of the hotel. Drive past the valet parking as they charge you extra money. It isn't the cheapest place but only a little more than the cheapest one that we used the first two days. Unfortunately you have to go there every day to pay for a new overnight stay but it's worth it. There are many restaurants and some stores in the vicinity of the hotel. The breakfast buffet in the hotel is very good. For the price I definitely recommend it. Overall a very good hotel. We didn't expect this much of a 3-star hotel.

Location is perfect for both access to LA Live and the Staples Center, but also to a wide variety of great local restaurants and shops. On the plus side for me is the convenient proximity to the LA Convention Center. The rooms — for the most part — are slightly cramped, but quite comfy! Everything works as it should. The water pressure in the shower is amazing! The service at the front desk was top notch. If asked, they provided whatever it was. Very helpful and friendly.

From the moment you step foot into the place you see decals and the layout design reflective of an era that once was. Loved the lobby and chicken area with a staircase backdrop. Once you step into the elevator to the rooftop level and open into a posh yet retro feel of the outdoor deck. There is also an indoor element off to the side. The nice part of this outdoor lounge is the couches and the chill vibe the area gives. Got my usual drink and relaxed. The people were social and soaking in what's left of summer. A great place to Hotel Figueroa a date. Not pretentious but chic enough. The 360 views were memorable. I have to try the hotel if there is a reason to.

Charming boutique hotel in Downtown LA with classic Spanish Mediterranean decor. Built in 1925 and recently renovated. Close to LA Live and Staples Center. They have a nice bar, restaurant and pool area with DJ music on weekends that you can enjoy even if you are not staying at the hotel. We went there for a social get together by the pool on Saturday evening. Great views of from the pool. Nice place to meet friends for drinks and hang out. Valet parking is $7 with validation from the bar.

Overall pretty nice hotel for the price. The furniture and style was pretty funky but it didn't really affect our stay much since we were out and about for most of our trip. The bed was extremely comfortable. I went home and I honestly miss their beds. The shower had two knobs; one for cold water and another for hot water so you can get that perfect temperature whenever you shower. They use organic and eco friendly soaps that are made in Canada and they smelled really nice. I honestly wanted to take them home with me. I had to send a few packages to the hotel and they kept it for me with no extra charge which made me happy. The packages were there when I came so I was very pleased. My only complaint was that the airconditioner in our room was pretty loud and it was hard to sleep with it on so I had to put a water bottle on top of it to stop the rattling noise. Hopefully the up coming renovations will fix that. Overall we had a really good stay and would come back again!

I've never stayed at the hotel so my 5 stars is specifically for their hotel bar which is located at the pool area. This Moroccan themed bar is both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor portion is the pool area which is beautiful for a warm evening. This is a great place for a night out with friends or a date because you can actually have a conversation here. Inside they have cute seating area that even offers a little bit of privacy. The drinks aren't too expensive and if you've had one too many you can get some complimentary tortilla chips to help you sober up.

I wonder if the people who use this Hotel as a great feel in Timbuktu grew up in. The Hotel is one of the least, that I've met. Terrible and overpriced.
