On 21 Feb 22, we asked to have the room cleaned up at 11:00am. Came back at 2:00 and wasn’t cleaned. At 2:15pm, we asked to have the room cleaned after 2:30pm when we left. Came back at 9:30pm and room wasn’t cleaned. Would rather spend double the money for better service.

Although it’s a pretty old hotel it is close and convenient to the airport. The young lady at the front desk was extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is clean. The room is quiet. It seems like the hallways in the rooms have a interesting smell to them just like they need to be freshened up and aired out.

Good service, reasonable prices, well located!

Our Sister checked into this Hotel with her family to escape the heat because her house doesn't have AC, they were becoming ill from the heat. Upon check in they discovered the elevator was broken so they had to take the stairs for 3 flights which was fillowed by the AC breaking in their room. She made the trek down the stairs to be moved to a room smelling of cigarettes and dirt which cause her to become even more ill. When she requested more towels there was 0 response for over 7 hours, the only response she got at that point was " We just gave out our last two. " Now they are refusing to refund any money for this horrible experience. I definitely will let everyone know that the experience here was shoddy at best. The staff as she says seem to be doing their best but personally I know she's a good person who doesn't want anyone to suffer. Sounds to me like it's a circus with mentally challenged monkeys… 7+ hours to wash and distribute towels? I'm disappointed for her.

After walking up three flights of stairs because the elevators were broken (for the majority of two days), we were given the choice of staying in a dirty room with a broken AC or a dirty room that smelled like an ashtray. We picked the ashtray-scented room and now all have headaches and sore throats. For a hotel that advertises as 100% smoke free, it smells like chain smokers have stayed here for 40 years. Garbage cans were overflowing everywhere. Ice machines out of ice. Covid used as an excuse
for poor quality housekeeping (2 towels and one bar of soap for 4 people. Dead moths on the carpet. Coffee splatters on the walls). The last straw was when our television stopped working at 6:30 pm and still hasn’t been restored 4 hours later. They don’t allow reservations to be cancelled so we feel trapped. This is a nice area but the hotel is low quality. The sparsely staffed front desk (one person on a holiday weekend?! ) seems to be trying his best but very dismissive of requests for service. For sure book somewhere else.

Our family is very disappointed with Hilton and the staff of DoubleTree by Hilton Orange County Airport. Hilton would not cancel our planned one-night stay and refund us our money. We have made modifications and cancellations with Hyatt Regency in San Diego, and Holiday Inn in Anaheim and they waived all cancellations fees with no problem due to this new global pandemic. Due to COVID-19 we are trying to minimize the exposure and spread of this now upgraded pandemic. We have cancelled our spring break plans. Shame on Hilton for not helping families during this time.

Room beside the gym the night before a half marathon. When people ran on the treadmill our room would shake. Sounded like a pair of shoes in the dryer.

My room was clean and quiet! That’s very important when you are working on a business trip. The staff was great. I appreciate all that was done to accommodate us!

The first this I noticed is that there are no outlets by the nightstand. I actually had to rearrange the room to move the nightstand to the other side of the bed, so I could plug in my breathing machine. I had to turn off the AC during the night because it was so loud. The fridge cabinet is empty, so there’s no fridge in the room. The phone is on the nightstand, instead of the desk. The desk chair is horrible, as it doesn’t allow me to sit up straight. It only leans way back. And the shower head is too low.

Well done. Even though this is located near John Wayne airport, it is tucked away, out of the main flow of traffic. They were able to give me that feeling of being away from the rush. Relaxing environment. I took a walk around the small lake that is located just outside the front entrance.

Michael and the rest of the staff are simply awesome. While the property is a bit dated, the location is amazing. Clean rooms with super-comfortable beds too!

To start when calling to make sure the room would be ready by 3pm whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. I simply was just asking to make sure it would be ready due to coming from LA and having to wait over an hour to check in because the room simply was not ready. We were rushed for time because we were running late to a rehearsal dinner for a wedding. We also had asked for a fridge which was not delivered and had to ask 2 more times to actually get one. We were traveling with an infant so having the fridge was very important for keeping milk cold. Also had to ask for a microwave for sterilization purposes (we got this right away). The day we arrived I called 2 times for the maid to come to the room to simply just change the sheets and wanted her to do it in front of us but by the time she got to the room we had to leave. She didn’t understand English at all and when I simply stated “please just change the sheets nothing else” she just nodded ok like she understood. When we got back to the room the sheets were 100% not changed. There were black marks on the pillow cases and sheets looked like there was makeup from someone who had been there before us. We got in very late from the rehearsal since it was all the way in laguna beach and couldn’t change the sheets with a sleeping Infant and being exhausted. Had to sleep in a dirty bed, nasty. The shower head hit my head and I’m only 5’6 I don’t know how anyone who is tall can shower in this shower.

No amenities. No breakfast. No fridge. No microwave. You can request the microwave and fridge but it should be standard. Shower has just a soap holder and the shower head isnt even tall enough for a 5'10'' person to stand under and get his shoulders and head wet. Staff is nice and the cookies were good. TV was super small also and sheets looked dirty.

I enjoyed my stay here. It's easy to access from the freeway, yet isn't burdened with freeway noise. The staff is friendly. Jessica was particularly great. She made an effort to relate and to have a nice conversation. The beds are comfortable and there's not a lot of noise from other rooms. I will be staying here again.

Loved the location — close to event location and Disney. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a little awkward to get to the jacuzzi area because I had to walk through the lobby and out the front in my bathing suit to get there. I also appeared to be overcharged but I'm waiting to see what actually posts because I remember the guest service representative saying that they hold your card for incidentals.

Clean rooms, reasonable price, and you get free hot breakfast buffet if you are a Hilton Honors (gold? ) member. Another big plus for me, self service coin laundry machines! Parking is $18/day (you can choose self or valet but price is the same). As other reviewers have stated, rooms are a bit dated, but some parts (bedding, sink, toilet, shower) are new/remodeled/updated, so it's fine unless you are really picky (and willing to pay for it).

Everyone was polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. No problems and would definitely stay again. Be sure to valet as it's the same price and parking is hilarious.

Nice place to stay if traveling, close to airport, shopping, beaches and amusement parks. Great man made lake for a walk and outside dining, nice pool area.

Great location if doing business in the area, near other activities as well. Friendly staff and pretty decent breakfast.

Great stay. Hotel is dated but very clean, which is more important to me. Excellent food & service at the restaurant, very convenient. Bed was comfortable so I was rested & refreshed for my meeting. All of the staff was very friendly & professional with the exception of one gentleman. He was in a solid color shirt & no name tag so I am assuming he was a trainee, hopefully soon he will be up to speed with the rest of the team. Had a nice walk around the area & enjoyed the fountain. Highly recommend this location!

$17 a day parking that is not talked about when booking. A $50 incidentalls fee tacked on that can not be placed on a separate card. Rude front desk staff. Everyone else was very pleasant and helpful, the valet, the manager were all good, but the stay started off bad and I don't like the surprise add ons. Furthermore, when my hhonors states free water in the room, being informed they don't do that here and water is $5 a bottle rubs me the wrong way. I'm a loyal Hilton member, but this location will not be getting my business again.

This is one of my favorites when I travel to Costa Mesa. Slightly smaller, but it has nice rooms and a decent breakfast. The location is convenient. I was there once and got a room up on top — it was pretty cool. The staff is friendly, and there was a shuttle to take me to the office next morning. I walked two blocks to a little strip mall for dinner: Japanese, Mexican, Indian, and Thai food choices. I went for Indian. So very convenient for someone who almost never rents cars anymore (Uber).

Very nice hotel, but some big negatives. No idea I had to pay for parking until I received a confirmation and no power ports by the bed. Deal breakers for me. I've stayed at quite a few double trees and this is my least favorite.

Really old property and it shows, I was disappointed it did not look like the pictures. Avoid due to little to no parking, they also charge 17$ for not being able to park or $20 to valet. Front desk extremely unhelpful, did not seem to care.

Comfortable stay close to John Wayne airport. Self parking and valet parking cost the same, valet is friendly. Despite being right next to the freeway, very little highway nose comes through. Would stay again.

Hotel has gone downhill a bit. First room smelt bad and move to another. Hallways to room smells of strong chemicals 7th and 6 th floor.

Nice doubletree, but not exceptional. Good size room but furniture could be updated. Need more outlets near the bed. Breakfast needs improving; bacon was overcooked and some bread items were old. Shuttle service is helpful close to airport and within 4 miles.

I checked into my room started to unpack my bag then had to use the restroom I walked into the bathroom turned on the light and 5 to 6 cockroaches ran across the floor and I was able to trap one with a class cup and went to the front desk they moved me to another room and offered me free parking! I then asked for a discount on my stay and the GM balked at my request! I would have hoped for some kind of compensation! I do not recommend staying here!

Calling the exercise area a "gym" is charitable. The room was nice, and clean. The amenities were lacking though.

Pretty close to the airport, right on a little pond/lake, so the views are pretty nice. Near a bunch of shopping and restaurants and that's pretty convenient. The rooms are a little dated but clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet isn't the best I've ever had but it does in a pinch. The restaurant sits on the lake so that's nice too. Good, courteous service when I've needed it, although that's been minimal so far.

Beautiful spot lakeside however when we got there they had no carts for our luggage and the explanation given was that it was more than likely in a guests room so I wld maybe bite the bullet and grab a couple more for the customers convience? Rooms need updating. The food was extremely delicious as well as the kitchen staff was great…

We've held monthly meetings here for several years. The wait staff is efficient and easy to work with. Management likes feedback and implements suggestions. Prices are extremely competive in the airport area. Great place to hold small to medium sized meetings.

The hotel room was nice and clean. Very nice views. However… the staff… is a different story. There's a young girl that was working the desk this morning that was extremely unhelpful and in fact just pure lazy. While we were packing up I realized that I couldn't find my car keys. I called everywhere we had been the night before and I even called the front desk to see if any keys were turned in. Her quick response was no. So I hung up and kept calling around. As I'm panicking and decide to walk outside the hotel to look, I happen to walk past the front desk. Even though I had already called, I see a guy and the same girl so I decide to ask one more time. Luckily I did. The girl once again said no, but the guy started opening drawers and looking. Sure enough someone had turned my keys in. The girl didn't even bother to look. She was too inept to realize that just because nobody turned any in directly to her doesn't mean that they weren't turned in to another staff member. She could have still at least looked instead of automatically dismissing me. The guy was very nice and helpful. The girl however, lazy and incompetent.

The not bad. Little older, and could use a few more outlets near the bed. One on each side would be nice. Too. Was clean, cookies were warm and good (lol), and breakfast was tasty. You do have to pay for parking, but self parking is close, so I did not pay more for the Valet. I would stay there again.

Rooms are on par with a comfort in, pool is nice, people are nice. One con was I had an issue using my company's card for the incidentals. The entire trip out here is a business expense so I'm supposed to put it on that card. Now I have a 250+ charge on my card until I get re-imburssed from my company. The lady insisted that a name be on the company credit card. However we got this anonymous card so that the rental company wouldn't complain that it's not my name on the card. Not sure where the problem lies, lucky however that I had my card with me. Costs for parking. No free Wi-Fi, not paying 10 bucks a day.

Had a meeting in a conference room. The staff were professional and unobtrusive. I later had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The food and service were excellent.

Was there on a trip, and when that came to an end I realized that they charged my card dishonestly. Had me on the phone for about an hour before I was told I needed to speak to the manager and Gerry the manager told me he can't do anything about fixing the problem because it was noted that I was aware of these charges. When I was not In any way, shape or form aware of it. Octavio is a dishonest employee. Or maybe he made a simple mistake, but they didn't even care to apologize.

Rooms are nice and cozy and clean. The cookies they claim that they have "improved" are terrible. Hard and old. The breakfast buffet was sub par for $16 none of the food was fresh. The potatoes were hard the French toast was stale, the fresh fruit was not fresh. Beds are very comfortable the hotel gym is very nice. Hotel staff is okay.

I was here for an event in the conference room type area near the bar. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. And the cookies were delicious!

Room service was actually delicious and Julio was fun to order from (Pizza and chicken strips). People are friendly, rooms seem clean. Really basic necessity here though. Workout room new, clean but very small, rooms super basic, itchy almost uncomfortable bedding, housekeeping bare minimum. That kept your last star unmarked.

I went to this location for a job related conference and was impressed with the clean facilities, attentive staff, and delicious lunch that was provided. They also kept us well caffeinated with coffee, and of course the cherry on top of the whole event was the warm cookie platter brought out at the end. Looking forward to more professional events at this location.

Stayed there while on my way to San Diego. The parking lot is a bit small. I used valet, but after a night out there was no regular spaces and the valet parking was closed. The hotel has rooms with amazing views. I got a corner room and was able to see part of the lake and pool. The lake has sitting and in the evening it is very relaxing place to be. The views from the breakfast area are also fantastic! The downside is that the breakfast buffet is super small and not many options when it comes to the food, which most people can see as an issue! The food and drinks available were good. The front desk staff were great, as well as the valet parking staff. They were all very nice and the service was quick. If you can I would recommend using the online check-in option to expedite the check-in process upon arrival. Makes things move quicker and you will be able to see and pick the room you want. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. They were pretty updated and more on the modern side, which is what I like, unlike some other hilton hotels I have stayed at. I will definitely be returning. Met and exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a great stay.

I've stayed here several times. Each time has been decent. The staff is friendly, but the parking is a challenge unless you valet. The pond near the property is a nice amenity if you want to go for a stroll. The a. C. Works great, but the bedding felt damp.

My son had a severe allergic reaction to something in the room. An hour after being in the room he started sneezing constantly, his eyes swelled shut and he started wheezing. He's never had an allergic reaction before so we went out and got Benadryl. That wasn't working so we asked to be switched rooms and that's when he started improving. Not the best way to start our vacation.

Stayed the past 2 nights here, very nice, right on a small an made lake with a fountain. They even have an elevator assistant on the elevators! Haven't seen this in years! the breakfast buffet is adequate, everything you want or need is available. Room is good size with a pull out sofa bed and a desk with chair, refrigerator and ample drawers. Bathroom is small but totally adequate, hair blow dryer in drawer. We would come back.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The customer service there is awful. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. 3 months later and I'm still trying to get a refund from the night we were not able to use. Our flight was cancelled and therefore were not able to get to the hotel. I called them and they said "TOO BAD" and charged me. No "I'm so sorry you are stuck, we can't refund you but we can give you credits to use", or anything like that. The hotel representative was so incredibly rude in speaking to me. I've never experienced anyone in customer service who was that rude before. Expedia called and said that was not how Expedia handles cancellations. Expedia was told "TOO BAD" even after the representative told the person at the hotel that it was verified that our flight was cancelled and there was no way we could make it there. The DoubleTree Club by Hilton Orange County Airport marked us as a no show (even after I called immediately when our flight was cancelled) and charged us for the room. If this is how they do business, everyone should stay FAR away from them.

The service was amazing. The rooms are extra big and the beds are very comfortable. I love the view of the lake with the ducks and turtles. It was exactly as it was described.

Great facility, smaller than most Doubletrees that have stayed at. Very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was okay, but I've had better.

My biggest hotel annoyance is a shower that can't stay hot, and this was one of those hotels. Five food joints and a Starbucks within walking distance, but nothing else. Breakfast was all right (hot stuff was good, yogurt and fruit tasted metallic). One of two elevators was out of service, which was a minor inconvenience.

I came in exhausted, and was pleased to hear they offered a free version. But only the cheap ones. So I sat down to relax, and they had 30 people painting and listening to loud music. Not a big deal, but annoying after a hard night fighting LA traffic.

I stay here every year during the holidays. Since it is a business hotel primarily, it is pretty empty around this time. The staff is fantastic and the main reason I come back to this specific hotel year after year. Highly recommended.

The rooms are Amazing so big and Beautiful. It was like walking in to cozy room with white and fluffy bedroom. The view was over looking the pond and it was just relaxing. I got to my room from a hard days Job "Hustle" and just to get to my room it was a relief and so comfortable. When I woke up from a good news nights sleep I made a cup of the hotels coffie and sat down got ready to go down stairs for the free meal they give with the room… again this hotel is Amazing I love it here and the food was to good and the service was excellen. All in all I would tell all my fellow Hustler's to come and wine and dine at this place. Desiree.

Staff is friendly but everything is rundown and old. The bath tub handle for water can't turn 360 bc there's a bar in the way, the bed is really springy, the ac unit is old and noisy, and the fridge is barely cold.

The room was cozy and relatively modern. The fact that I have to pay $11 for parking each day is a bit ridiculous to me. You pay for the room and that's it. They charge you for every other possible thing.

Front Desk Staff very helpful! I had made to mistake of reserving the wrong date and did not notice until I arrived to the hotel. Merissa was extremely helpful and I had a new reservation for the day I arrived in under 10 minutes. Thank you.

I was really disappointed with the overall state of the room I had. Carpet was torn on the edges, not quite kept up. The food that I got from the hotel restaurant was pretty disappointing as well.

I have been in several Double Tree hotels. But this time the bath room stank of sewer and the confusing breakfast buffet is money grabbing with one person service. We order 2 egg omelet the bill was $45. They charge $15 for parking and $9.5 for internet per night.

I've stayed here for a number of busniess trips. This past week several of my colleagues and I stayed here again for a four day training trip. I suggested to several of the students that they stay there as well. On our last night I invited several of the participants out to the smoking patio for a drink and a cigar. There were 8 people staying there, 32 night stays. About half way through our cigars we were informed that we couldn't smoke outside! The doors leading to the patio directed us to the smoking area! It has a sign on the doors! We questioned the staff member and he apologized saying the owner doesn't allow smoking on the patio! One of the instructors checked out and went across the street to the other Double Tree. The next morning I went down for breakfast and saw that they had put blue painter's tape across the signs. Needless to say I won't be staying there anymore and certainly won't suggest to any of my students stay there either. In fact, I'll dissuade them. I figure I've had at least 40-50 students stay there for 4 nights each over the past year and half. 160-200 night stays.

A decent hotel for Orange County. The rooms are clean and stylish. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is a pleasant surprise and the coffee is better than most.

The room we stayed in was nice and clean. It was not outdated. It was quite enough for me to recover from surgery. Although they charge u for parking by the night. That would be my only complaint.
