This past weekend, my partner, Kurtis and I traveled to Anaheim to attend the Foo Fighters concert at the Honda center. This was a Christmas gift to him from me and with the tickets, travel and meals the cost was around $700 — 800 for this much anticipated weekend concert mini-vacation. Unfortunately, we were originally booked in to a room that was clean, but had plumbing issues, broken toilet. The second room was to be a King size bed and it was not. Something took place with the original reservation made months ago, that we did not receive the King size bed requested under the guise of "best available rate" and ended up in a room with 2 queen beds. While your front desk crew was helpful and courteous, the end result was that after 3 trips to rooms and back down to your front desk plus an 8 hour train ride, it took us over 40 minutes to finally get a room. We then went across the street to have dinner at JT Schmid's around 4 pm to beat the concert dinner crowd. We spent $55 including tip on dinner. We shared the salmon salad and the classic burger and each had a beer. We did not consume anything after our dinner at JT Schmids. About a 30 minutes in to the concert both us were running to the bathroom at the Honda Center. We stayed for the concert with several bathroom trips, but the severe abdominal cramping made it too painful to stand for much of the concert. Our only choice was to stare at the backs of concert goers in front of us as they stood and danced to what seemed a great concert. We then struggled to go back to the hotel hoping not to vomit in the large crowds as we made our way back to our room. I cannot adequately express how very disappointed and upset I am about this past weekend. It is in the best interests of the Ayres and JT Schmid's to make amends for the situation. I may purchase tickets to come back to the October 17th concert of the Foo Fighters as I would like to replace the memory of this horrible experience with a positive one. Below is the list of expenses we incurred. Our entire weekend was ruined by issues with first our accommodations and then being sickened severely by JT Schmid's food. My partner is still sick this morning as I write this to the both of you. Here is the expenses incurred in our travel: Concert tickets: $300 Train tickets: $250 Hotel: $175 Meal: $55 Total $780 I look forward to hearing your response. We have stayed at the Ayres in Anaheim and eaten at JT Schmid's before on a concert weekends, but this was dreadful. I do hope you find a way to make this right.
