Reviews of Ayres Hotel Anaheim 3*
Nice rooms, cool tech, good breakfast, very friendly staff, right across from Honda Center.
Attended a concert and stayed at this hotel since it’s literally across from the Honda Center and from JT Schmid’s Restaurant & Brewery. We were very satisfied with the suite size, bed comfort, and cleanliness. The hotel stay also included a full hot breakfast… (no continental breakfast) which I appreciated since most hotels don’t offer this service anymore. I’ll definitely stay here again.
When ever we come to Disneyland this is where we stay! Love this place. The large hot tub and great breakfast.
Absolutely beautiful hotel.
Very nice and clean. Lose to angel stadium that’s the reason why we stayed here. Walking distance.
My daughter and I stayed at the Ayres Anaheim on May 23, 2021. She had her service animal, when asked what type of task he performs, the front desk clerk said he is an emotional support animal. My daughter had brought and was willing to show proof that he is a service animal. You would think the front desk clerk would have had enough common sense to realize that he is service animal. Unless that front desk clerk was trained and certified to make that determination, she should have NOT said my daughter's service animal to be an emotional support animal. That's discrimination. They do accept pets, kudos for that, but if you plan on staying there and you have a service animal, don't. Stay somewhere else.
Very, very clean! I definitely will be back!
Amazing service! Friendly staff, rooms very clean good job guys my kid.
Was in town for a concert at the Honda Center, Location of Ayres was perfect. Walked to and from venue. I’d definitely stay here again, for Angels games as well!
Very clean and comfortable beds. Very friendly staff and the hot fresh breakfast was superb! Atmosphere was like being in Europe!
Friendly, clean, nice rooms, near park, bus service, Thank you.
Very nice room and a good free breakfast. And really nice customer services.
Very clean, quiet, and very good customer service!
Next time we go to california, that's where we will be staying!
So far the best hotel we’ve been at during our vacation.
Comfortable and luxurious. Super friendly staff. :)
Amazing staff which includes front desk, chef (José), and housekeeping. Great location, absolutely declicuous free breakfast, social hour (free drinks and snacks! ), excellent parking worth the fee, quiet, clean, & accommodating. Easy check in and check out. Loved my stay and beats any and every big named, high rated hotel.
One of the best stays in a hotel I have had in a while. I got upgraded to a one bedroom suite. Bed and pillows were great and the blackout blinds worked well. The room was very quiet, which I need to sleep. I will stay here again on my next business trip to Anaheim.
From arrival to departure, the staff here were great. Free refreshments upon check in. Too cool, ice cold beer after a long day's drive. Wow, that's how awesome the breakfast was. The outdoor pool was great. I would have given 5 stars, but they charged $10 per day for parking.
Excellent, friendly staff. Check In so easy. Spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast. Bed and pillows so comfortable. The usual high standard from Ayres!
Accommodations were excellent! Check in was easy and the staff were very nice and attentive. Beds were comfortable, overall room setting was great. Location was ideal! Breakfast was yummy! Will definitely stay again!
It’s difficult to find customer service friendly people in general. Whomever hires at the Ayres in Anaheim has a keen eye for talented individuals. Throughout our stay, we experienced wonderful instances of personable and customer-centric employees that is rare to find these days. Especially Jose, the breakfast chef, who made our mornings great. The accommodations are wonderful as well. Thank you to the staff of the Ayres, we’ll definitely be back in the future.
My husband and I visited California from Canada for the first time and stayed for 9 nights at the Ayres Hotel Anaheim. The hotel is well located, very close to the Anaheim Resort area. It was perfect for us because we wanted to stay in Anaheim but weren't going to Disneyland. We were very happy with all the hotel's services and facilities. Our room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the courteousness of 3 employees, Dee, Anthony and Jordan. We also really enjoyed the chef serving us a plate of fresh delicious food for breakfast. We've been to many hotels in the past and this hotel offers exceptional service and is reasonably priced. Their breakfast buffet is by far the best we've experienced so far. We would definitely stay at the Ayres Hotel Anaheim again!
Great great hotel. Front desk employees were awesome! They went out of their way to reaccomodate us in a more affordable room. Beds, room temperature and room coffee splendid! Morning breakfast buffet top notch! Recommend strongly!
Best place I have been! The staff are so welcoming and friendly! They make you feel at home and act as if they have known you for years. Even on the phone before booking we were so impressed. Very professional service. Jordan is who we mostly worked with and he’s amazing. Thank you for the best stay we could ask for. ❤️
I have been staying at this hotel since 2011, the facilities are good and they have been updated during that time. The beds, linens, etc. Are comfortable and hotel staff is helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the amount of outside noise that comes into the room. On one side of the hotel is the 57, the other side is Angels stadium and the Honda Center. While super convenient for fans, it is loud after events. I really wish the Ayres ownership would take sound proofing the windows in there rooms seriously and try to lead the industry in making their rooms quieter.
We only stayed for one night but we had a great experience as expected from Ayres. Receptionists were friendly, and the room was spacious and clean. I would give 5 stars, however, our breakfast was less than pleasant as the room was small and we had nowhere to sit at the empty tables since they were uncleaned by the staff. There was only one person running the hot breakfast buffet, and she was quite busy. Maybe it was an off day where somebody called out or something. We've stayed at another Ayres hotels, and they usually have more than 2 people during breakfast crowd.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was a great location for both Disney and the Angels game. The staff was very nice and have perfect service. The room was large, clean and in good condition. The bed was comfortable. The pre-check in text message to ask about our needs was excellent! The price was good for the room and breakfast was excellent. Overall we had a great experience! Thank you!
I can say I enjoy being at this place. This is where me and my wife spent our night after our wedding. They have a great Continental breakfast! loaded with eggs, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, sausage, and bacon plus lots of other good treats not just a small tiny breakfast they hook it up for you. Rooms are very clean and organized and upkeep. TV with blue-tooth sound system for use. Great all around. Will get pictures up as soon as I can.
I stayed here a week ago, first thing that caught my attention was the fairly low price on a Sunday ($77+tax & parking) but I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice place this was. Rooms were clean, comfortable & large. The king room had a separate sofa sleeper, microwave, mini fridge & a small store that has decent prices on wine. Also it is extremely close to angels stadium & the Transit station. Overall a great experience.
Excellent value for money, warm welcome, outdoor pool and Spa, spacious and comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast included in the price. Paid parking.
A small Bemol on the air conditioner a little cold, and a little noisy, but it is a very slight desagrement.
Great experience. Location was perfect for attending an event at the Honda Center or going to an Angels game (walking distance). Hotel was clean, quiet, beds and pillows were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. I recommend the pancakes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
The only reason I am giving a 4 star is because of the cook at our complimentary breakfast. We were there for 3 days and everything and everyone was exceptional! But at breakfast time we were given grumpy answers and talk and mean looks. We love Ayres hotel! We stay there once every year and everything is always amazing. It's very clean, security always on the lookout, convenient location, swimming pool, room is with kitchen, the mades do a fantastic job, price is very reasonable! Always happy to stay there!
I was only there for 2 nights but it was enjoyable. I didn't use a black light or anything but the room was very clean. They only have 3 carts in the hotel for customers to use so that was a bit of a hassle we just had to take multiple trips when bringing all of our stuff down. That and the elevators were really hot were my only complaints. The included morning breakfast was really good! Lots of options. I would come back and may next year as it's very close to the event I came to town for in the first place.
I chose the hotel solely for it's location — which was perfect. The parking (more specifically, trying to leave) ended up being confusing and complicated due to the understandable need to handle event parking challenges. This is the most "average" of the Ayers Hotels I've stayed at re: amenities, decor, comfort, upkeep, etc. However, the staff was fantastic — welcoming, personable, and with a genuine enthusiasm to be of assistance. I certainly would not go out of my way to avoid this property if I were headed to the local Disneyland attraction, I would not likely go out of my way to stay here unless I needed the beyond convenient access to the Honda Center. The staff service alone, though, would be enough to recommend it others over other Anaheim options.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Super clean hotel. Great daily breakfast with chef who's been there for years and it's easy to see why. So engaging and patient… not to mention he can cook really well! Oh, and you have grrrrrrrrrrreat coffee… I am picky and yours was ever so hot and good!
Super nice here… The rooms are so big and always a beautiful view out the windows… This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever been to, I will always recoment that this is where you go I'd your trying to stay somewhere a litter nicer than a motel 6… The prices are honestly really goof too for a nicer hotel… Just over a 100 bucks for a room… Not bad…
We were very impressed with Ayres hotel. I would totally recommend this hotel. Staff was on point. Very nice and professional. Our room was clean every night. We were there for 6 days and we were treated like family. Breakfast I have to brag. The cook was very polite and nice to my kids and my family he went out of his way to make them Mickey Mouse pancakes. Very clean hotel and very nice looking hotel. Thanks Ayres for a wonderful stay while we were on vacation.
Best hotel I have ever stayed with. Staff are great from top to bottom. The manager, Marcus, all the people working the front desk, the breakfast chef, and housekeeping went out of their way to make our stay great. Beds were very comfortable, full breakfast, and cookies in the evening. I can't say enough about this wonderful hotel. Great location. I have stayed here before and will deffinately stay here again.
We always stay at the Ayres Anaheim, when we attend an Angels baseball or Ducks hockey game. It's a perfect location. We can make the short walk to either venue and not have to worry about traffic, parking or our own personal safety. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I always recommend the Ayers Anaheim to friends and family travelling to Orange County.
The staff was very nice, although the front desk staff mostly joked around. One night during my stay, the lobby tables were covered with beer bottles from other guests that didn't clean up after themselves. I was surprised though that the front desk staff hadn't noticed it. After sitting there awhile, it was eventually cleaned up. Another time, I found a cell phone in the lobby and when I took it to the front desk, the woman seemed confused. I had to explain again that I wanted her to hold on to the phone in case anyone came to claim it. Apart from the front desk staff, I had a good visit. The chef was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. He made a wonderful breakfast each morning, as well. The rooms were tidy and the hotel was only 10 minutes away from the hospital and shopping areas.
This was my first time to California and this place was very nice. Clean comfortable rooms and a great staff. Mr Andrew Day at the front desk really was very helpful during my stay. Thanks.
Our stay was great. We had a very good experience with Ayres. The Front Desk attendant was exceptional and made my family feel very welcome. The room was comfortable, even if the televisions were on the small side, (but we do not stay in hotels to watch TV, so it wasn't that much of an issue). The breakfast was good. There was a good selection of food offered and the bacon was cooked perfectly (which is a very important thing! ) and the pancakes were light. We enjoyed our experience at this hotel and location and would be happy to stay here again.
We love the Ayres. All the staff are friendly and courteous. The Hotel is clean and the beds are so comfortable. We love the yummy breakfast every morning, especially the pancakes. We will come back again and again!
Good surprise. Honestly I was not expecting a so good value for the price we paid. Staff was effecient and welcoming. Rooms are very nice and beds comfortable. Breakfast was very good, may be just need to add some more choice available. When I will come back to Anaheim, I probably will book again at Ayres Hotel.
Nice quiet hotel. It was clean and well kept with a well appointed room. The included breakfast had plenty of choices and was very good. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would easily recommend.
Part of our bad experience may be due to lack of communication between the tour company with whom the hotel was to co-ordinate our stay. However, several things were clearly the fault of the hotel. Several rooms were not ready when we arrived, on schedule; ours was one. One couple had to return to get the front desk to change their room twice: once because another party was in the room when they opened the door, second because the floor was wet and a huge fan had been set up to try to dry it. The hot breakfast was not available before our group had to depart. Instead each person was given a paper bag containing a banana, a vending machine danish, a Cliff bar and a bottle of water. Not even coffee was available! The heat in my room did not work, the unit kept blowing cold air, no matter what the thermostat was set to. The front desk told me to unplug the unit or reset it with the buttons on the electrical plug. It did not work. So, I chose to just keep the unit off: better to have nothing than a cold breeze in the room. The room was clean, and the cleaning gal was very friendly. However, I do not recommend the hotel based upon their lack of care about a large group being there (there were about 30).
Love this hotel. It's a little far away from Disneyland as I usually stay closer, but it has everything you need and the price is low for such great quality. This is my first choice now when I'm going to Disneyland. The front desk staff are incredible and they have such great attitudes — they provided excellent customer service.
Everything was great, except that the dining area was a bit too small. We could not find any table to sit at, and the food should be more like a buffet, rather than having to wait for the chef to serve everyone. The line was getting quite long. Our fridge was not cold enough to keep our food fresh. Other than that, it was a nice experience!
The hotel is close to Disney, the rooms are of good size, very clean and the breakfast (included in the price) was delicious.
Great customer services. Make sure you try their sugar cookies. Hands down it's one of the most delicious cookies I've ever had! And the chef at their breakfast buffet is amazing. Very nice and friendly. Overall an amazing stay. Will definitely stay there in future. Recommended for sure.
This was the first time staying at an Ayers Hotel. It was a good value for the price. The rooms were clean and very pleasant. The mattress was was the best part. We wanted this for our home. The breakfast was excellent. We would stay there again.
This place is very nice and the hostess was extremely sweet and helpful. However the smell when we went down the hallway journalist bearable. You're on the second floor and there's just no way to describe the smell. It was horrible. But when we got in our room it was totally fine. It was nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. Way more comfortable than the Disneyland Hotel! We were so disappointed there. But we would definitely stay here instead and just ride the shuttle to Disneyland. We have always had good results all of the Ayres hotels. Thank you Ayres Hotel for your kind hospitality!
We stayed here in 2013. I looked at other hotels for this stay with my son but decided to go with this hotel as it was such a great experience last time. This time did not disappoint. Everything was exceptional again. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Regardless of the slightly farther distance to Disney (which doesn't matter with ART coming to the hotel) and a slightly higher per night cost than a Holiday Inn, it is money well spent for quality and excellent service.
A great place to stay. Excellent location for Disneyland and a good base for all LA visitor attractions. Front desk staff smiling and friendly throughout our visit and never too busy to stop and chat or answer any questions. Always greeted on our return back to the hotel which was a lovely experience. A decent complementary breakfast daily consisting of a hot buffet and pastries, fruit and cereal. Great staff in the restaurant too. Room/Suite which we had for our stay — 402 was very comfortable and we had no issues whatsoever during our 18 night stay. Serviced daily, it contained a small fridge/microwave kitchenette area at one side of the room where coffee could be made (replenished daily). King size very comfortable bed. Fully air-conditioned room. Hotel provides happy hour complementary wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks on four evenings a week which was a great opportunity to meet other guests and once again interact with the front desk team. General Manager also makes himself part of the team to talk to guests frequently, so if you had any issues you could always discuss them if needed — or just simply chat to him as we did.
Absolutely wonderful. The entire time I was there I had great attentive service. The room was clean and spacious. The complimentary full breakfast was delicious and thee orange juice was full strength. It is the best possible location for any Honda center event. It sits next to the ARTIC station so getting to any attraction in town is a snap. Will be back again and again.
Breakfast was great. Shuttle access was great. Schmids was great. Beds were great. No real views, but that's minor. They give veterans discounts, which is great. Advice would be to find out if anything is playing next door at Honda center before your stay. We had the unfortunate experience of having The Weekend play during our stay, and got serenaded by the sounds of loud concert music, car horns, revving engines, and people screaming/yelling til about midnight. Wouldn't have been a problem, but we had to be up at 6 am for Disney. Plus if we had known we would've requested a room on the opposite side of the property. We stayed in 431 because that was what they considered a "view" room… personally would've much rather been able to sleep.
Location was good, rooms were clean and simple. Continental breakfast was decent, but Jose the breakfast chef really was amazing. He is what made my stay extra enjoyable, he was so kind, personable and sweet. He made conversation with not only myself but everyone who went in there, joking with us, talking, smiling. He really was great. And he really stood out to me and I think he needs to be noticed for that.
I've stayed here multiple times on business and I can recommend it. A clean, no-nonsense, comfortable hotel with few frills but I've never had a problem with accommodations or service. It's located right down the street from the train station as well as the Honda Center and Angel Stadium, yet is not usually overrun with tourists. Good breakfast.
Amazing hotel, quiet and great location — city/freeway view. Staff was super nice! One thing I do recommend is not advertising the exec suite as a "fireworks' view" room. There's a tree blocking the Disney fireworks view so there was no view =| Other than that, I'd come back!
The Staff is very friendly and informative. Free Full breakfast was delicious. You can see the cook make the food on the spot. The room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. Its as nice as staying at the Hyatt. The beds were very comfortable. There was no outside noise. OH, there is a 10.00 per night parking fee that you have to pay for.
Very nice hotel. We had a room on the third floor with a king size bed, a couch, coffee table, desk and a little table for 2. Bathroom was small and, as in most hotels, shower was not very good. Overall a good experience. Also, It would be nice if guests who don't have an electric car (or are not charging it if they have one) didn't park in the Tesla charging spots since there are only 4 slots available.
We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. We rented the 2 room suite (at a very reasonable rate), giving us plenty of room to spread out and each have our own space. The breakfast was very good and fresh each morning. Having a chef actually prepare the breakfast fresh for us added a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.
The staff were amazing! Amenities were nice — got to enjoy some time at the pool! Despite not having a bar they had some wine and beer sale in the shop (not to mention close proximity to a restaurant brewery). LOVED that it was walking distance to the stadium! Very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
We were at Ayres Anaheim for 6 nights and had an exceptional stay! Rooms were clean and big, and beds were extremely comfortable. Check in was fast and easy, which was appreciated after a long day. We rode the shuttle to Disneyland for 3 days. Though the hotel is a few miles from Disneyland Resort, the shuttle got us there quickly. We enjoyed our overall stay and will definitely stay again next time we return to Anaheim!
Nice overall stay. I have stayed a few other Ayres hotels and this one was not set up and decorated quite as impressively as the others. The breakfast room and lobby was more plain in comparison. The others had a definite, distinct charm about them, as did the rooms. But overall the staff was helpful and everything was clean. The breakfast could use a waffle maker like they have at the Residence Inns. I know it is not always possible, at others I had been to had made-to-order omelets. The provided items were tasty with a good selection. I think the main difference, however, was the very plain decor, when it is advertised as an "Old World" charm, which they are noted for. The city shuttle to Disneyland worked out fairly well for us at a reasonable charge, as long as you aren't too time constrained… location not too far from there.
The room was great and hotel staff was very friendly. We checked in right at 3pm and staff checked several of us in very quickly. It was so nice to relax in the room before our concert and then just cross the street after. Our room was clean and comfy and snacks and wine from the lobby store were very reasonably priced for a hotel. The only thing in the whole experience that wasn't excellent/didn't exceed expectations was the breakfast, but it was free. So, I didn't really expect that it would knock my socks off.
First the staff is AMAZING. We were greeted by the friendliest front desk staff around. He was very helpful in giving us tips about the area and property. The rooms are great. Very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and made for a restful night after a very busy day. The art transit stops at the hotel and basically will take you where ever you need to go. There is a complimentary breakfast and happy hour during the week. Top notch service. Great stay!
Excellent staff, very polite and nice. The hotel room was huge and was very comfortable. Excellent choice if you're arriving by Amtrak (train), just across the street. And with only 5 $ you get a bus to pick you up from the door hotel and take you to and back from Disneyland.
I will never stay anywhere else when in Anaheim! Everything is fantastic, the breakfast is always delicious, fresh baked cookies in the evening, and the bed… best hotel bed ever! Just a couple of miles from Disneyland and Convention Center, and just across the freeway from Angel Stadium. Great location and great hotel. Highly recommend.
The room is good but needs some modern updating. I was glad to see the halls were getting painted and carpeting being replaced. The main issue is the wireless especially connecting to Apple devices. My connection kept dropping off and I experienced this all week. The wireless system needs to be upgraded so there is a stronger signal and faster speeds in the rooms. One of the days I left a cookie and then experienced ants in the room.
The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful when asked for recommendations of restaurants and other local attractions. My room was kept extremely clean. The bed was amazing! To be honest, sleeping at the Ayres Hotel was the best sleep while in a hotel I have ever had. I can't believe how spoiled I was with the amazing breakfast every morning. There was fresh eggs, bacon or sausage (depending on the day), hash browns or breakfast potatoes (depending on the day), pancakes, fruit, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee, hot cocoa, milk or 2% milk, tea, orange juice and all of it was just delicious. The chefs were so kind and even made Mickey pancakes for the kids. After a few days, they knew what you wanted and as soon as you walked into the breakfast room they would get started on your plate. It was truly a great experience and although I was away from my home for 7 days, I still felt a little at home at the Ayres Hotel.
We had a great time. The hotel was comfortable if a little small for 4 people in a room. Desk customer service was amazing. They were always kind, friendly and helpful. A couple of small hitches to the stay. The house cleaning was not great. They did little more than empty the trash and make the bed. Maybe that is all they normally do but it didn't seem enough to me. There were silver ware left in our room from dinner we had in the room the night before. Also the hall we were in on the fourth floor was painted that week. No big deal. The men doing the work were kind and unobtrusive. Also have to mark down a bit for the 2 buses of highschool baseball players. We booked the hotel for the laundry rooms since we had two small children. We needed to wash some clothes on the 3rd night but because of the teams in question we could not. Breakfast was also hard to get in the morning because of them. All in all it was a good stay. Just not as good as I expected.
Friendly staff. Breakfast was reasonably tasty/lots of choices. Room was nice. Great for kids. Warm cookies in the lobby were a nice surprise. Clean rooms. The nearby sports bar restaurant was delicious and great for the kids too. I don't know why you'd stay at a Disney hotel when you could stay at a place like this.
The Ayres Hotel in Anaheim, is a great hotel, not to terribly expensive, the staff is friendly and nice, the rooms are nice for what you pay for. Breakfast is included which is nice, however they don't offer a huge variety so if you plan on staying here for for more than 3 days you will probably get suck of it. The shuttles also do not pick you up or take you to the Santa Anna airport which is a major bummer that you have to find your own way, especially since the hotel is walking distance to Angels Stadium and the Honda Center and is a popular tourist place to stay. All the restaurants are within walking distance which is also very nice. Overall a good experience and would recommend if your in the area.
Good breakfast, large room, very comfortable beds. Kind and helpful staff held our bags all day when we arrived before check in. Shuttle to Disney was quick and convenient. Fitness area was small, your typical hotel 'gym' with a bike, treadmill, multi use type cable machine, and some free weights — enough to get the job done. Would definitely stay at this Aryes location again!
I loved the fact I was able to turn off the A/C and open the window. I much prefer outside air and traffic noise to sleep. Would have really liked a slightly higher quality of bed linens; those provided were just a bit too thin. Loved the decor of the hotel and halls. Breakfast was very nice for the price of the room. Parking was deceiving; I understand the need for deterrence given location, but it was not clear how much parking really cost for quests. Overall very good stay — wish I was there longer.
I was really excited to stay here at this hotel but my stay there was not what I was hoping for. The room temperature was awful no matter what you did to help. The desk said there was no maintenance available at night. The sewer smell was over the top. The drunk guest allowed to be very loud and in the hall ways late at night. "The front desk" was aware of these people and kept it this way. The bullet hole in our window made us feel very at ease as well with our two babies in the room. Also we requested for two cribs and took hours to get them to our room. Just not what was expected at all. We are huge ducks fans as well and thought after booking our stay we would stay here again but was very unhappy.
We participated in the Disney marathon, although from Disneyland two miles, there is still a very quiet and beautiful. The room rate includes Breakfast, the Breakfast time could be quite crowded, this is the only disadvantage. Good customer service. Worth a recommendation.
The stay was very nice. The staff was very helpful. I loved the size of the room and that was allowed to choose my floor. The free breakfast was amazing! The chef was nice and friendly :)
I stay at the Ayres Anaheim whenever I am working at our Huntington Beach office. I've gotten to know several people that work there and they are all really nice people. Front Desk: Andrew in the morning, Bo in the middle of the night. I apologize, but I don't know the afternoon staff well yet. Jose making and serving the breakfast is particularly friendly. Marie and Meaghan in Sales are great. (Even Marcus the GM is nice). The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms are generously sized. I travel a lot for business and this is my favorite hotel. It is under five minutes to walk to the train station. I've traveled by train to Los Angeles and San Diego. I have also brought my family on vacation and they want to come back. You can walk to Angel Stadium and be in your seats in ten minutes. You can walk across the street to the Honda Center. The bargain priced Anaheim Shuttle stops at the hotel and you are at the gates of Disneyland within twenty minutes. A short drive from the hotel is a complex with several restaurants and a movie theater. I recommend the hotel whenever someone tells me they will be in the area. I recommend the Ayres Anaheim to you.
These might be two minor issues, but after verifying by telephone the rate of additional charge for a second vehicle, before even making the online reservation, we arrived and initially was told we couldn't. This was important because we both came from work at different locations to meet for a concert at the Honda Center. After a few back and forth conversations and being told I should've put it on the "notes" in the online reservation, (then acting like they were doing me some "favor"), they ultimately charged the $10 like I was originally told by phone. The second issue was the smoke detector went off in the room in high ceiling and couldn't be reached without a ladder, (a malfunction, we don't smoke). After calling and requesting someone come with a ladder to reach and shut it off, he arrives 10min later with a step stool and after repeating that won't reach the high ceiling, he rolled his eyes, ignored me, then walking away and coming back another 5min later with a ladder that will reach. Decent hotel, but maybe because of their experience dealing with difficult travelers who stay, they don't cater to you at all, you never feel valued, and you always feel like you're troubling them.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quiet, even though it has a window on Katella. The bed was super comfy and clean. The continental breakfast had something for everyone (fruit, cereal, pastries, bagels) and made to order pancakes or eggs, bacon, and hash browns. And to top it off, check out isn't till Noon!
Great hotel! Clean rooms, fridge, microwave, sink to wash your dishes and there's even a combination safe in the closet. Free Wi-Fi and full complimentary breakfast. They also serve full breakfast in the morning and snacks with drinks from 5:30 to 6:30pm. My favorite part is they offer discount for Disney Annual Pass holders.
Booked a room to spend the night with my husband after we attended a concert at Honda Center. Experience was good, clean room great service, cozy and cute rooms. Beds were comfortable and the room was well equipped with necessary appliances. Customer service was great we were greeted with a warm smile and given instructions and directions. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family or book it again if attending another event nearby. In the morning we had free breakfast downstairs in the dining area. The service there was good too. I would had enjoyed a bit more variety of food but above all it was delicious. Loved the coffee.
We had a great time the staff was warm, friendly, and helpful, the location is CENTRAL and there are lots of entertaining things to do very close. Plenty of parking, comfortable clean and trendy rooms. Great Breakfast, excellent coffee. Wish I had time to stay longer.
Overall a pretty good experience. We always look over the sheets with a flashlight and we found hairs all over each of the bed sheets. Once we asked for new sheets and put them on, all was well. The room was clean and didn't have that gross feeling you can feel in hotels sometimes. Breakfast came with our stay and it was decent. The shuttle to Disneyland left every 20 minutes which was very convenient and took about 15 minutes to get there. It could get a little noisy if you left the window open for air, but once closed it was surprisingly quite. I only gave a four because of the sheets.
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We had never stayed and so we really didn't know what we would expect. The rooms were very nice and up-to-date with all the amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We even had an incident where we locked our keys in the car as we were supposed to be heading for the airport, and the night manager called AAA for us and got us a tow service there in minutes. He insisted I didn't worry about the cost and he took care of everything. I will definitely be staying with Ayres hotels in the future. Thank you for such a great experience.
The room was clean and inviting. The lobby and hallway décor don't necessarily match that of the rooms but that is rather irrelevant both are very nice. The breakfast was good as well. In order to cut down on wait times it might be a good idea to get a waffle or pancake machine like Holiday Inn has.
Staying at the Ayres, Anaheim is lil going home for me. This is my Orange County home away from home. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a pleasant, comfortable and friendly place to stay. You will also enjoy a delicious full breakfast each morning which is included in the price of your room. The staff is wonderful. Try it, you will like it.
It was truly a pleasant stay. Very quiet and relaxing. I love the little breakfast that was included and also for upgrading our room to a nice suite. It was wonderful!
Nice hotel. The whole parking process should be re-evaluated. No parking for checking in? No mention of the $10 parking charge at check-in. Did not get notified until checking out? Workout room and pool to small. Ceiling must be paper thin. I heard every foot step from the person above. The front desk should have room to negotiate the room rate. I called late in the afternoon for 1 night reservation. Called the hotel direct and was quoted a high price. I asked for better pricing but was told that is the best that could be done. Went on line to look at other hotels and got a better rate on line. I would think that later in the day the hotel staff should be able to reduce rates based on vacancy as opposed to having empty rooms.
This past weekend, my partner, Kurtis and I traveled to Anaheim to attend the Foo Fighters concert at the Honda center. This was a Christmas gift to him from me and with the tickets, travel and meals the cost was around $700 — 800 for this much anticipated weekend concert mini-vacation. Unfortunately, we were originally booked in to a room that was clean, but had plumbing issues, broken toilet. The second room was to be a King size bed and it was not. Something took place with the original reservation made months ago, that we did not receive the King size bed requested under the guise of "best available rate" and ended up in a room with 2 queen beds. While your front desk crew was helpful and courteous, the end result was that after 3 trips to rooms and back down to your front desk plus an 8 hour train ride, it took us over 40 minutes to finally get a room. We then went across the street to have dinner at JT Schmid's around 4 pm to beat the concert dinner crowd. We spent $55 including tip on dinner. We shared the salmon salad and the classic burger and each had a beer. We did not consume anything after our dinner at JT Schmids. About a 30 minutes in to the concert both us were running to the bathroom at the Honda Center. We stayed for the concert with several bathroom trips, but the severe abdominal cramping made it too painful to stand for much of the concert.
It was alright. Not the best, not the worst.
This is our 4th time in the last 8 years staying at the hotel. This was one of the best stay so far out of 4 total at this hotel but all other previous stays were very good to excellent as well! The new room decor is very nice (but I missed the ceiling fan), the breakfast is still outstanding and the chef is always soooooo nice! He made my son a mickey mouse pancake every morning. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, the room cleaners were also outstanding. We were so happy here and will return when we are in the area. The shuttle to and from the hotel to disneyland was also so helpful and the shuttle staff was very pleasant. Thanks for a great stay!
Our stay was fantastic! From the courteous attending door man to the friendly check in staff and currier who helped us with our luggage. The place is amazingly well designed and well kept, even while under repair or remodeling. The facilities and amenities were modern and open. The amount of food and meal choices were great with so many little ships and restaurants on the grounds and so many other unique and chain enterprises around on the street level surrounding blocks. Only be warned that after 10 the stores start closing, hotel and street… Including the two pharmacies near by! Walgreens and Rite Aide (? ) I believe? Our room was beautiful and modern, a bit smaller than in assumed and/or expected but with the luxury and comfort of a room three times the sizeand/ or price of others, it didn't matter at all! Oh and the view was spectacular! The pool was a welcome plus during the humid heat wave. And check out was perfectly simple as I had no physical need to do anything. Highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. Uh, common sense city awareness. There are all the typical people to avoid at night, with a metro station, bars, and "city life" once the sun goes down and the music turns up. Don't fall for the "pretty ladies" if you decide to get tipsy!
Our overall experience was good and will consider staying here again when visiting Southern California. The location is convenient for visiting all the popular areas. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each day and had fun getting to know Jose the chef. I would like to see the parking as complimentary with your stay.
Lobby was very nice. Room was good and had everything I needed. Didn't have time to use much of the amenities. Parking was terrible because gates did not work properly entering or exiting.
Overall good Hotel service and condition, very kind staff. Spacially Front desk staffs are very coooooool.
We love staying at Ayres Hotel Anaheim. This is our home away from home place. The location is easy to find and there are many local thing to do. The breakfast is great! See you next time.
The service was not amazing (front desk representive too busy, bad transportation service). I was also disappointed with the breakfast due to limited space for the guests (not enough tables or chairs). I had to sit on the floor in the lobby to eat my food. The bathroom was not entirely clean, and the beds were uncomfortable.
Stayed here for 6 nights. Really comfortable room, great service and lovely breakfasts. Would definitely stay again.
Ive stayed here twice and they have great breakfast for a hotel :) the beds aren't hard as rocks. Their front desk service is good and I really appreciated how the people there talked to me and my friend like real people and not teenagers. Kids. And the pool. Its not huge but its pretty deep and it does the job.
Great hotel. Staff is lovely. Rooms clean and tasteful. Pool area nice. Lobby luxuriant. Guest mixers with refreshments are a fun idea.
Love, love, love this hotel. Stayed 2 nights with 3 teenage girls for a birthday celebration. Hotel accommodations were lovely, super clean, great staff (front desk, chef, and housekeeping). I am a picky customer and Ayres Anaheim exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was yummy with variety from one day to the next (scrambled eggs, sausage links, breakfast potatoes, and pancakes first morning; scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and French toast next morning; in addition, cereals, juices, milk, fruit, yogurt, and a variety of breads were available both mornings). Chef handled food requests. Free parking was a huge bonus. Great value. I'll be back.
Very good overall. Just didnt like the 1/2 used toilet paper roll in bathroom.
We left a hotel that was close to Disneyland because it was terrible. The Ayres was near the Honda Center and Angels stadium. This hotel is great. Updated decor and very well maintained. The staff there was awesome and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you like sleeping in, the room can be completely blacked out. They offer a complimentary full breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, french toast, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit, bacon, sausage, coffee, drinks and so much more. If you have to go to Disney, they offer shuttle service. We will stay there again because of how great the staff was. Definitely 5 stars.
Great service beautiful rooms delicious breakfast. Install hotel tonight app and put in code ovasquel and get $25 credit on first booking.
