This location is always clean. Continental breakfast is delicious. We always stay here when visiting family since it's close to the attractions and cheaper than staying in Pismo or Avila Beach. Definitely recommend.

We had a great two night stay. Room was clean and good room service. Free breakfast was good and fresh. The pool is nice with a large jaccuzi. Large parking lot on main drag.

This hotel gets 4 stars because the room was nice, the staff was good and it was dog friendly. The beds were good and the towels and linens were above average for a BW. Breakfast was plentiful although it could have been hotter. The coffee was pretty good. The property loses a star for the parking lot. It was noisy early in the morning with lots of diesel trucks and buses warming up outside while the construction guys that crew them got their coffee and breakfast. Its a very busy place around 5:30 to 6:30 AM. I would stay there again if I needed a place in the area for an overnight stay but wouldn't consider it for a vacation stay of any duration.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are very nice and there seems to be plenty of parking. There is also plenty of food nearby. I think the theme is also well done. Many rooms have the different states names on them.

Very clean and well staffed facility. Check in / check out was easy. Breakfast area was clean and well supplied with hot an cold breakfast items. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. We were very impressed with the amount of maintenance personnel at the hotel. Very busy cleaning the rooms, lobby, dining areas and the outside landscape and parking lot. Obviously a primary focus is on cleanliness.

If you have an issue here, don't expect anything to happen to resolve it. I stayed for three nights, and every night had a guy outside my door, high on some drug, yelling at people. He was also staying at this hotel. They even have a nickname for him; "Ponytail" You can see him now, can't you? There were several miscellaneous, free, or at least low cost repairs that could have been done, like the bathroom door closing. If you're lucky enough to get anything back, their policy is to refund one night maximum. That is a Best Western Corporate policy. Their recommendation was for me to find another hotel to stay in for the remainder of my trip! Five stars for the front desk staff and their hospitality, the manager is irresponsible. My review was 5 stars to begin with, because the staff are truly great, breakfast was decent, and the room was clean.

This is our second visit to this Best Western. Spacious rooms and very clean. Great value for a very nice room. The entire staff is very nice and dedicated to customer service. I would highly recommend staying here.

The facilities were clean and up to date. The bed comfortable and hotel breakfast above the norm for hotels of this category. A very nice, reasonably priced hotel in this area.

We rolled in late on Saturday night. Quick check in. Very friendly posse at the front desk. Room was clean, comfy beds, quality table and chairs, great TV channels, loved the oversized mirrors (tweens felt like celebs), and ample breakfast. The spacious sink area was elegantly designed and very functional. Separate toilet area with shower. Overall a comfy, secure, amazing start to our spring break road trip! Only minus was the smell of urine outside the Florida room or near there.

A hotel on the way to Los Angeles from Dan Francisco very nice, with huge rooms and full breakfast.

We stayed here in Aug of 2016 and we loved it! The staff is super friendly and the rooms and pool were super clean! Super enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, the staff was right on top of keeping everything filled. If we ever roll into Santa Maria again, we will be staying here for sure!

Clean hotel. Nice room, well equipped. Breakfast very decent. But poorly insulated from the noise from the outside, sound of water from the next room.

I have never stayed in a Best Western Plus before and with that in mind I can say I was pleasantly surprised. I booked through Travelocity and the room was described as having multiple beds, kind and queen. Check-in was effortless. Staff was very nice and professional. I liked that they did not need a photocopy of my ID. The quality of the room and furnishings was overall what I expected with one nice surprise. The queen bed was in the general living area while the king bed had a room all its own. Both room had their own television. The room included a small fridge, slightly bigger would've been nice but no big deal, a microwave, instant coffee, hairdryer and iron and board. The only reason I could not give 5 stars is because it's right on the main thoroughfare through Santa Maria making it a little noisy for my liking but this does have the upside of being near many restaurants and stores easily within walking distance. Overall I was very happy with my stay and would consider visiting here again.

I loved the staff here at best western. Family's are more then welcomed here. They even have a pool that's open. Ask for max. He is the G. M. At best western. Tell them that Stephen swift sent you. Very huge rooms with everything you need. And if you don't have it. Ask the front desk. This is a top notch hotel. Here in Santa Maria California.

I did not stay but visited a friend and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The rooms look luxurious, and offer patio to relax or take pets for walking.

Best Western Plus Big America is great, they have remodeled all of their rooms and they look great and are very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and features Make your own waffles, Real Scrambled Eggs, Real Bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy and lots of yogurt, breads and cereals. Great place to stay and the price is worth it.

Very happy with the stay; very friendly staff & they allowed us to check in an hour early without any hassle. The room was clean & very comfortable. We were also very satisfied with the breakfast, by far the best breakfast we've ever experienced while staying at a hotels. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

I been staying here for years every time we visit family. This place is always upgrading the rooms and they are always nice, clean, comfortable AND SPACIOUS!. I like that the parking area is very well lit at night. Staff is very nice every time we check in/out. Breakfast selection is great except they have discontinued the breakfast burritos : (Very pleased with our stay. Once again.

Spacious rooms and bathroom. Not great sound-proofing, but that's true of most hotels. Lots of choices for breakfast, but the potatoes and the gravy were terrible.

We've been staying here monthly due to work for over 13 years now, THE BEST place to stay when in Santa Maria! ALL of the staff are WONDERFUL, the front desk (especially Teresa), the lady who handles the breakfast area and housekeeping. The facility is GREAT, clean and pet friendly. Recommend HIGHLY to everyone we know, and to anyone reading this review.

I travel a lot and for the price, Great Western+ got it right. Customer Service Customer Service. The room and property very well maintained. My kids love the pool and piano along with the big Chandler in the lobby. We had a very spacious room. Upgrades on the fly. No Hassel booking.

This Best Western is a great hotel the staff Especially crystal was great. The rooms were beautiful the beds were comfortable The bathroom set Was great and we especially liked the small bar area with the coffee set up. The pools in the Jacuzzi were crystal clear and very clean which you don't always see in hotels. This hotel is also pet friendly and they had in a hole area with green grass for the dogs to run around in and do their business another thing that the other best westerns should look into happing. I highly recommend this Best Western and Bravo for the staff thank you Best Western.

The hotel staff were very accommodating, answer all my questions without attitude. Parking was not packed, easy to find a spot. The fabric softener used have off a odd smell but other then that, great place.

One of the best motels. Plenty of space, good location, breakfast buffet is included in the price. Can only recommend this Best Western.

Was pleased by the nice, comfortable room. It had a large bathroom with an extra vanity with seat and the toilet closed off from the tub/shower. There was an additional kitchen sink outside the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was outstanding — bacon, scrambled eggs, good biscuits with gravy, potatoes, plus the waffles, pastries, yogurts and more. We hope to stay there again.

A delicious plate of buttery chocolate chip cookies on the counter at check in set the tone for a comfortable and convenient overnight stay. The courtyard like set up of the hotel made it quiet, the room was comfortable with a huge bathroom. All the amenities were there. I would definitely stop here again on a similar trip.

We slept for one night my husband and I, the room was clean comfortable and very large, the staff always very nice, would recommend it to other people! would go back.

Good value for the price. Location leaves a little to be desired as it's surrounded by strip malls, but 20 minutes from wine country venues. A lot of suites available, which was nice as we got a free upgrade to a suite through the rewards program.

Hotel was unexpectedly nice for the neighborhood and the hotel lobby was very inviting and clean with super friendly staff. I had an issue with an unintended no show the week before and the manager personally took care of it to make sure I got a credit for the night I actually stayed there. They could have ignored my request but instead have gained my gratitude and will certainly stay again if in the area. The room was big and nice.

Nice rooms, large bathroom with boudoir and wardrobe. Breakfast is reasonable. Probably a popular place, because the parking was busy. Unfortunately the pool was not working without warning and compensation.

We booked through best western with the Costco rate. When they say high floor room vs low room floor, what they are really asking is if you want to be on the first floor or the "high" second floor. There's no elevator, so be aware of that if you don't like lugging your luggage upstairs. The room itself was well appointed. Two beds, a side chair, wet bar, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom was huge! It even had a little make up area with a bench. The room was clean and comfortable. We had some noise from the parking lot, but other than that, the stay was peaceful. The next morning we headed to breakfast. They had great bacon, Greek yogurt, and even biscuits and gravy. The waffle batter was a little thin, but other than that, it was a nice hot breakfast. The staff were friendly. It was a pleasant overnight stay as we were driving north. We would definitely return!

The Best Western in Santa Maria always used to be pretty gross and $124+ a night seemed expensive but since the other hotels now charge $50-75 a night for pets on top of the $90-110 room charge we decided to take a risk and stay at the Best Western (who are actually pet friendly — no charge! ). Wow. The renovations they have made are awesome. Our room was spotless, the furniture was new and modern, the bed was amazing, and the bathroom was downright luxurious. We will never stay anywhere else when we come back home to visit. The staff was excellent and our stay was very comfortable. The outside of the property and the lobby all looked great. Really, really great job Best Western!

STAFF: 5 STARS EVERYTHING ELSE: 1-1/2 STARS To the property OWNER (because "the buck" ultimately stops with you) : This was probably the most difficult review I've ever written because there was such a disparity between the various amenities provided. But since I am a teacher, and because I find the cost of lodging in coastal and near-coastal California nothing short of obscene, I'm not going to do the owners' work for them but will instead list the number of problems present during my stay without being specific (and I will do this with any other property not worthy of at least 4 stars from this point forth, since, at $100-$250+ per night, I at least deserve the basics: maintenance and cleanliness). Then the owner (not the manager; and if you truly give a damn, you'll haul yourself out here and personally take me up on this challenge) can take my list and go on a scavenger hunt to see if they can locate all "x" number of problems in the room. Or they can have me show them the offending issues, and I will be happy to do so within the next 3 weeks (I can't remember all this stuff forever) for up to four full hours in exchange for a complimentary 3-night stay. This time I stayed in Room 141 for 5 consecutive nights. THE GOOD: Room & property were neat & clean, both inside and out (although I did not get a chance to use the pool or gym). Completely non-smoking (THANK YOU, GOD!

Room was clean, and much more than I expected. The staff was friendly. Pool could be deeper, but was warm.

Best Western in one of the best hotel that I stay every time I come down 2 Santa Maria very clean great stuff and the lady Crystal at the front end always welcomes me what a great smile.

Most importantly clean! Quiet, pool, jacuzzi, hot breakfast (could have use whipcream for the waffles hahaha), provided shampoo/conditioner/moisturizing bar of soap but NO lotion (wah wah wah, if you frequently stay at BW you normally get a tiny lotion). Very dog friendly and great price! Everyone was friendly, ok location especially if you like Chinese food.

Best part about this place was the free breakfast, So many choices for food, make your own waffles, cereal, mini burritos, coffee juice. Very surprised, The room on the other hand was just ok, not as clean as a hotel should be. Shady people running around outside. But other then that it was ok.

Air conditioner failed so they moved rooms. Moved me into a room in the middle of renovation. No headboard, no pictures on the wall, no light fixtures, no TV. When I asked to move again, they said they had nothing left. Front desk staff was unable to adjust bill accordingly. Manager (Richard) never responded to several messages and email.

Without a reservation we weren't expecting much, but received a remarkably pleasant stay. The friendly greeting was genuine, and the room was designed with the traveler in mind. I appreciated the coffee set up not being in the bathroom. There were chairs for relaxing, and both a table and a separate desk. The bathroom was quite large with a beautifully tiled shower/bathtub which had a built in bench. There was a separate area, with mirror, for drying my hair and applying makeup and two "medicine cabinets". The heat lamp was a nice addition. As if a nice room wasn't enough, the buffet breakfast was excellent. The coffee was delicious, and the choices so varied I enjoyed something different each day. There were the usual juices, toast, sweet rolls, bagels, biscuits and gravy, yogurt and even hard boiled eggs. The helpful attendant explained everything, including how to make your own waffle. And, if you are a Starbucks fan, there were several different coffee's you could purchase. The desk clerk was not only informative, but suggested we might like to see the butterflies at Pismo Beach and printed out several maps of where we were going birding. One final pleasantry was the kitty who greeted us. Made me feel right at home.

I love this place. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Rooms are clean and big. Staff is polite and friendly. Breakfast awesome. They even had evening complimentary cookies. I will be back. And the Resident friendly "CLEO". Will greet you. (probably thru the planter by the the computers) enclosed a photo of him:).
