Although we had a room that faced the ocean — — which was nice — — the hotel feels like an old condo unit. It is run-down, dirty and doesn't have a beach vibe. I'm in my 50's with arthritis — — and to get to the beach — — which has a lot of rocks — — is a difficult thing to do. Once you cross PCH (at the crosswalk), you have to climb about 80 steep stairs, cross a bridge, and climb down another 80 stairs. After walking in the surf for a couple hours, the last thing my hips and knees wanted to let me do, was climb those stairs. Thank goodness we didn't have chairs or an ice chest with us — — or heaven forbid children.

I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice location, right across from the beach. Excellent customer service — thanks to Frank who was working on front desk. We had room 222, it was clean and nicely decorated and it has patio with ocean view. The beach though is not good for swimming at this area.

Beautiful room/suite and views even tho you have the highway and train tracks right across the way but you can't hear it in the room.

Very nice room (clean). The view is Amazing, and the gal in the office was helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

I checked in today and am really happy with my room. The staff is great! Alex is cute. There was a happy birthday to me from this place I wasn't expecting and was really nice. Was going to go out my first night here but I'd rather stay in and enjoy my room tonight!

The hotel rooms were spacious and the Wi-Fi was great! The beds were a little hard to sleep on, though, because you could feel all the springs in the mattress.

I was hesitant to book this hotel after all the ratings, but I did it anyways. We really enjoyed our stay. The room 333 was clean, spacious. And the bed was comfy. I didn't go downstairs for breakfast, but hubby brought me a Danish and I had tea in the room. It's sad how people leave such bad ratings…

The beach front view is stunning and incredibly convenient for anyone who wants to stay nearby the ocean. The rooms are cozy while still being spacious enough for a family of 5 to comfortably stay for multiple nights. Guest service is stellar, even when you need lots of extra towels and blankets late at night. Definitely planning on staying again and would recommend to anyone else looking to vacation near the beach.

The view from the suite was incredible! The location is unbeatable. Such a nice beach right across the street. You do have to walk about a block to get to the cross walk to get to the beach, but it's not bad at all. The breakfast was pretty good and they have a big hot tub overlooking the ocean. The room was very large. I loved my stay here!

I would not recommend his place unless you plan on just sleeping there, with socks on and ear plugs in. Carpet was so gross, so much needed repair in the room, and on a Wednesday night a business nearby had LOUD kareoke going til 11pm. The hot tub needed to be cleaned as there was unknown debris settled in the bottom, and once you turned the jets on, said debris then stuck to your body. The balcony view was beautiful. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was small, but clean. And the fridge and microwave was fine.
