I had made reservation for Minnie Street Inn Alaska check in on 6th Feb but had to cancel due to medical reasons. As stated in their website, partial refund will be given for cancellation more than 10 days before arrival and I emailed them on 11th Jan and 28th Jan but they chose not to reply until this morning. However their reply is I had informed them 10 days within my arrival and no refund will be given. I had all the correspondences and would be grateful if anyone can advise me which associations in US is able to help on this.

Friendly place with accomodating staff. It feels like staying at your aunt's warm, cozy house with a kitchen fully available and plenty of books to read. I stayed here a year ago and accidentally left my expensive winter boots behind. 12 months later I came back and they had them stored away with other "long term lost items" and it just reminded me of the small town feels that sometimes you need that far north.

Great location, the owners are wonderful! I really enjoyed our three day stay here!

We stayed in a lovely suite in this Inn, which is a former bed and breakfast. The master suite was elegantly decorated and very comfortable. The suite included a jacuzzi and washer/dryer (although use of the washer/dryer were at a rather high additional cost). Rollaway bed was provided, also at additional cost. Even with the additional costs, the price was one of the better ones for our travels in Alaska, especially for the amount of space. The location was quiet and central to Fairbanks. The owners no longer operate the inn themselves. The current manager got the job done but wasn't very customer service oriented in personality. Overall a great place to stay, especially if you need the extra room and kitchen for small children.

The Minnie Street Inn is perfection when it comes to premium lodging in Fairbanks. I recently stayed here and found everything comfortable clean and very welcoming. I was surprised at how nice it it was decorated and equippeded. I made Thanksgiving dinner for my USAF daughter since she won't be home for 2018 holidays and the pansy suite worked out so well. Thank you for your hospitality and consideration. I strongly recommend the Minnie Street Inn, for overnight accommodations in Fairbanks.

Love it! I've been staying there for all my trips to Fairbanks since forever. This time we stayed in the Jacob's Ladder Suite — beautiful with kitchen, laundry, French doors out onto the deck! We arrived in the middle of the night and everything was ready for us. Hope to stay many more times.

Its so nice and peaceful. Having the kitchen saved a bunch from not having to eat out every meal.

Excellent place for resting in the cold evening. Cozy and warm, silent and clean — looks like at home. I want be at that place at least one time yet.

A great place to stay as you will feel that you stay at home rather than somewhere else. Nice accommodation with all facilities price. Also, it is located in the good location so you can easily find bus stop nearby for you to visit in the city.

It was clean and private. No breakfast. The hot water didn't last after enjoying a hot shower and trying out the Jacuzzi tub.

Sensational! Friendly and helpful owners, outstanding design for a B&B and at a great price (breakfast is no longer included and the prices have been more than adequately adjusted). Our room was very large and comfortable and everything that one needed, including unlimited access to the full kitchen that too was fully equipped, was provided. The location is especially good; less than 1/2 mile to the center of downtown Fairbanks, 10 minutes or so to drive to the University of Alaska. We would consider this B&B a "first choice" for lodging in Fairbanks.

Before moving to Fairbanks I went to take a look in the b&b because they rent out furnished apartments as well and I thought that would be a good option to get me started since I was moving from the lower 48. I met the owner, he took me up to show the place and we were making friendly conversation. While I was looking around the owner asks me about my wife. I said I have a husband. Suddenly the atmosphere changes and he says he wants me to see his wife to go over the specifics. He introduces me to her and says "… he and his boyfriend or whatever they call it nowadays… husband… ". Then he says that because of my situation they have to discuss the price I would have to pay and see if they want me to rent the apartment. They'd be in touch. Obviously they haven't. Clearly they are not comfortable with gay people in their b&b or apartments. They probably think it's bad for business. My guess is they never heard of equal opportunity housing and other anti discriminatory laws. So if you are gay, have any friends or family or colleagues that are, please stay far away from this place so that they will learn the hard way that you simply can not discriminate anymore in today's society without having to face consequences. Support LGBT rights and book elsewhere. All other people I met in Fairbanks were actually very open and friendly so plenty of alternative, humane options available.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Inn. Hosts are helpful in providing must see's in the area, along with dinning recommendations. The room was clean, bed provided had a comfortable supportive mattress, and the room equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave for reheating leftover's which came in handy when everyplace we ate gave us ample portions! Lot's of wonderful places nearby to eat, with only two of our favorites being Bobby's (Upscale Italian) and Lunch (homemade Lebanese). Minnie Street Inn, although no longer provides breakfast one is welcome to use the kitchen area, and was well kept. It was also well known by tour guide's for the Northern Light's, our favorite being Ben Boyd Productions/Communications, which goes to Chandalar Ranch. Happy Trails… Until next year!

This is definitely a special place and a must visit if you are in the Fairbanks area. Rooms are Very warm, comfortable and relaxing. Best hospitality I have ever experienced! Plus it's walking distance from everything including the downtown Central Park near the river.

Exceeded my expectations! The jacuzzi was a fabulous reprieve after a night of viewing world class ice sculptures. What fun! The hosts are wonderful. Enjoyed my stay. Kimberly.

Bottom line up front: I would recommend Minnie Street Bed and Breakfast to any of my friends and relatives that want a romantic getaway or welcoming place to stay in Fairbanks. This experience started with a simple web search for a local Bed and Breakfast in Fairbank. A place my wife and I could get away for the night. I was still in Middle East and needed to do all the arrangements via the internet. Marnie and Lambert were very responsive via their contact email on the web and made the whole process painless. I was able to set up the room and a massage via email and keep it a surprise. I was a little apprehensive about doing this entire event sight unseen but after viewing their webpage online and all the photographs I decided to jump right in with both feet. The premium suite was more than I could have expected and the massage service was remarkable. Marnie and Lambert provided some of the best hospitality that one doesn’t always find these days. It was warm, sincere and welcoming. The provisions in the room were plush and elegant but just enough to give you that luxurious feel and at home. Breakfast the next morning was again more that could be expected and not your average help yourself buffet. So again what more could you want for yourself and that special someone at a very reasonable price.
