Haley has been one of the GREATEST people I’ve ever met. We had our church event here and she had an open willing heart to come join us. Staff were fantastic all around and super friendly. For sure made some new friends that happen to be workers to see when I come back next year ☺️ Everyone is always smiling and making sure you’re taken care of. I’m not sure of the 2 other guys names, but they were a tremendous help!

We spent one night at HR Birmingham in a two-queen bed room on a high floor. The room was clean and quiet, and felt quite comfortable. Every staff member was kind and upbeat. Huge thanks to Debbie and DC at Merks for excellent breakfast service (the omelette was the best ever! ).

Great help at front desk. We needed an extra room and Kiersten helped us secure it! She also helped with additional condiments! Great service by Valleys as well!

Haven’t been to The Wynfrey in over 15 years and it was wonderful to be back. Excellent staff, modern rooms, and being connected to the Galleria gives you plenty to do without ever leaving the Hotel. We will be back!

Rooms are spacious, clean, and well stocked for those who tend to forget the little things. The beds were very comfortable. Staff was courteous and polite. Price was very reasonable. Overall experience was nice.

I’m not happy with the room to generic. Only one chair not enough room to play cards or anything. The front desk wasn’t very helpful. I did not get a explanation of the charge what was available to us. Acted as though didn’t know any to help. I’m good on the Hyatt.

I love staying in concierge. Breakfast is always great. Food in the evening is always good. Can go get a Starbucks coffee, latte, or cappuccino anytime. Service is always great.

Worst hotel experience ever. I was not checked in correctly therefore 2 different people were booked into my room as well and entered my room with a hotel key. They hotel checked me out and refunded me when trying to resolve the issue and I still needed to stay two more nights for a conference. They then charged me to rebook the room for my last two nights charging me again when I still hadn’t received the refund from the original payment. Very unsafe. Staff was not eager to help resolve any issues.

It had been several years since we had stayed here, but everything was perfectly lovely! Staff was great, room was great, service was excellent.

KIND OF AVERAGE! My wife and I stayed a couple of nights here recently while on a very short visit to Birmingham, AL. From memory we were on the 10th floor. Our room was clean but the fixtures & decor were very dated. The choice of cable channels on the old TV was atrocious. The walls are pretty thin too because we could hear our noisy neighbors on both sides easily. The underground car park was a nightmare to get in and out of so we parked our rental car in front off the hotel. We found out the occupancy level was around 30% so that explains a few things. And I won't even mention breakfast at Merk's.

Nice enough hotel but here are the things to know. The pool is much smaller than the picture online. The gym does the job. However the cleaning service was awful. They pretty much make your bed and replace towels, no vacuuming, or replacing other necessary items. The bathroom door didn't close because the lock was backwards. It's convenient that it's connected to the mall.

Terrible experience! Booked two rooms six months in advance. When we arrived for checkin at 4:00 which is checkin time, we were told the rooms were not ready. We had an event to attend an hour later so we didn’t have anywhere to unload and change clothes. Was told it would be an hour. Needless to say an hour cane and went, still no room. Kept calling to see when we could check in. 5 hours later at 9:00 that night, the rooms were finally ready! Got to rooms and one was suppose to be handicap accessible shower, it wasn’t but at this point we were tired of dealing with it all. Got locked out of room when key card was deactivated next day and took over an hour to get back in with multiple trips to lobby trying to fix the cards. I have emailed the hotel with no response. We were given 10% off room at the hotel only after I complained about the checkin. This is not a hotel I would ever return to or recommend.

Love the location. The mall being attached is awesome. Our mattress bottom by the window had a huge stain that wasn't washed. Blood or soda, idk. We only had like 2 bath towels and 1 regular coffee pack in the room and there were 4 of us. Two adults and two kids. I would stay here again. The people ho worked here are very very nice.

The outside is not much to look at but the inside is pretty nice. It is attached to a decent sized mall which has all the amenities you would ever need. The lobby is nice and spacious and the staff are helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Hyatt has always been my go to choice of hotel, but this visit brings that choice into question. Once checked in, we arrived at our room to find the thermostat set to 65 degrees, however the actual temperature was 79. We were immediately disappointed and decided to go do some shopping at the attached mall in hopes of it being due to motion activated AC controls. Three hours later the temperature dropped by two degrees, so I phoned the front desk only to be continuously transferred to line that no one answered. My family decided to go swim while I went directly to the front desk for a resolution the issue. The gentleman there said someone would come fix the problem. No one ever came to address the problem and they said no additional rooms were available. Our solution was to leave the door open and let the hall way AC draft in, as the hallway was much cooler. Date of stay: 6-16-18 through 6-17-18

Perfect. Rooms had whisper-quiet AC, several lighting options, and multiple, accessible power outlets. Whole building had good Wi-Fi access. Great location. Great service. Very clean! We were on the pet-friendly floor, and we couldn't detect a single sign that a pet had ever been in the area.

Loved the stay and the hotel was nice, but somehow I received a 50$ charge on my debit card… even though it was a card that I had never swiped in that hotel and I was staying in a room charged to my friend’s card. The front desk tells me that they can’t tell me anything about the charge and I have to call my bank to have it refunded. This charge, on an account of a poor college student, comes with a nice 38$ overdraft fee and the soda that I bought in the mall became a 40$ soda… I just want to know how the hotel got that card information and what is that I apparently bought that costs exactly 50$?

One of my favorite places to stay. The staff is caring and professional. Location is perfect for shopping!

Not at all what I expected from a Holiday Inn, let alone a Hyatt. The desk clerk was rude when we checked in and one of the beds had blood on the sheets. We were comped one night for all the issues, but then the next time the sheets were changed one of the pillow cases had blood on it. The only bright spot was Yolanda. She worked the front desk and tried to accommodate our concerns as best she could, and was very nice about it. Never once made us feel like we were asking too much by asking for clean sheets.

I stayed for one night and it took 30 minutes just to check in. After taking half an hour of my night away, I get up to my room to find used shampoo and conditioner along with used towels in my bathroom. The beds were clean but honestly could’ve been better for a 4 star hotel. There was a knocking sound throughout the whole night as if someone was working on the room under mine. The staff weren’t friendly and the next morning when I checked out, I gave them my card and the man at the desk nodded. No “have a nice day”, nothing. Just a nod. Very disappointed. Not coming back. I payed way too much for absolutely nothing.

Most uncomfortable beds ever. Asked three different people three different times to swap our mattresses and they would not and may zero effort to accommodate or make us more comfortable. The beds were so old and worn and springless they felt like sleeping in a lumpy hammock.

Great location if you like to take just one ride with the elevator and be right in the center of the shopping area. Nice rooms. The Hyatt Club at the 14th floor offers food and beverages, which I think is fantastic.

Styed one night at the Wynfrey in a 3rd floor double queen, standard room. The staff was delightful and extremely helpful. The room was very nice. Overall I would certainly recommend this place, and the price was reasonable too.

This hotel is wonderful. The staff is very courteous. Reception staff is very pleasant and always willing to help. Conveniently located. The rooms are always very clean.

While attending the Passover Seder (an expensive event) there were many problems. One of the most egregious was a lack of toilet paper in the ladies room soon after the event started. The front desk was notified and assured us it would be taken care of immediately. It was not for the entire event despite our requests — horrible! When dinner was served (already cold) most of the staff was aloof, and disparaging. The two who truly cared we're overwhelmed with responding to requests. Dishes were removed without asking even though the utensils were not placed in a"remove" position. When coffee was served we had to ask for decaf multiple times. There was no cream for the coffee. When we asked (the first and second times) we were informed it was on the table. The third time we asked them to Show us where the cream was on the table for none of us (10) could find it. Cream finally came but coffee now cold. There were other problems but I did experience those first hand.

The updates were nice and beds were comfortable. It was fairly quiet near my end room which is such a nice change from my travels. I’m am giving it a 2 bc my room was not clean. The carpets were filthy and surfaces looked dirty. The bed was made but but not well bc the sheets fell off so the mattress was exposed after barely getting under the covers. I left to buy Clorox wipes and Lysol and cleaned the room! The convention services were nice and didn’t encounter unfriendly staff but not overly helpful either. The fire alarm (false alarm) went off at least 6 times. One was at 5:45am and another at 10 pm. It’s a real safety issue because the alarm only sounds in the stair wells, so if there is a real fire not everyone can hear the alarm. Also, after it goes off so many times no one leaves their rooms. It’s a real problem. I would not stay here again. It’s overpriced.

The location of the Hyatt Regency is right off the interstate and centrally located within the Birmingham Galleria. There is a nightly parking fee if you self park or valet park. (The Valet attendants were very nice but we chose to self park. ) At check-in, the hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. Our room was very nice and clean. The tub/shower combination creaked everytime you moved and that was annoying. Our air was set to 65 and it never cooled down from 73.

Room was was very nice. Staff is kind and helpful when they are needed. Rooms have a refrigerator but no microwave; given you are eating out at restraunts it would be convenient for left overs. Pool was out of service but when I called to check if they had one they failed to inform me of the outage. When I checked in they keyed my card wrong and by the time I got it resolved breakfast was no longer being served.

Check in staff was super nice. Stayed Friday/Saturday night, unaware that there was a convention/alumni thing happening. Hotel room was mostly clean. Shower did not drain properly. Saturday morning, went down for breakfast. Only one waitress/hostess, one bartender, and one chef manning the breakfast area. On the morning of a convention, it was woefully understaffed. Breakfast bar bacon was burnt to a crisp. Eggs were luke warm. Grits overcooked and crunchy. It was a detriment to the hotel stay/visit.

We were attending a training class. Service was great and accommodations we're good as well. Noise level wasn't that great but the staff we're very helpful given the circumstances. All-in-all, wonderful venue for professional meetings.

We were there for the Birmingham bowl. I had stayed there before, so knew what to expect. Was sad to see that Shulas had closed since my last visit. Rooms are nice, roomy and comfortable. Very nice hotel with lots of restaurant choices nearby.

Wonderful & friendly staff. The rooms were clean, but could use some updating. The location was a bit challenging, with it being attached to a giant shopping mall and my visit being so close to Christmas the traffic was horrible.

My sister niece and I stayed here for 2 night's to shop, and spend some time together. This hotel is awesome. So clean and the rooms where spacious. The staff could not have been nicer. Absolutely everyone was exceptionally nice and accommodating. We would Definitely stay here again.

At least once a year my company holds a franchisee conference at the hotel. The rooms are always clean, and nice. Hotel staff is always very accommodating. Spacious meeting rooms. If you're looking for a good place to just spend the night or to hold a conference this is a very very good hotel.

This is a classic hotel that's been fully renovated. It's attached to the Riverchase Galleria Mall but the noise from the mall doesn't make it into the hotel. Rooms are large and recently renovated, beds are comfortable, furniture is new, bathrooms are very well done. I stayed here for a conference which was catered by the hotel. The food provided was good, for catering, and all of the staff were very helpful and prompt. Overall this is a great place to stay in the Birmingham area.

We arrived a few minutes early. Check in was supposed to be at 4 pm. It was almost 5 pm by the time I was actually able to check in. Several of the TV channels wouldn't work. We were force to go to another place to watch the football game. The movies in the room wouldn't work. I was forced to go downstairs to the lobby to use the restroom since there was no vent in our bathroom. All in all it was a horrible experience. I won't be back and will tell everyone I see never stay here. Oh also I play 140 a night and still have to pay 12 per night for parking. Use the 30 minute free parking to unload and check in and then park in the mall parking lot and have a short little walk.

Stay for two nights just for a little get away. Room was very spacious with motion sensor lights on the night stands that lights up the floor when you go to the bathroom, California King bed, fridge… and enough outlets to plug up laptop, camera, cell phone, etc.

The space provided was not large enough for the number of people. The staff were friendly and helpful while providing more seating. There were technical issues with the computer program and the IT personnel were helpful. During the break, the staff had extended the room to accommodate the group size. I was very pleased with my visit.

The room was great. The service was even better. Bring Irma evacuees, the level of caring we experienced was very much appreciated!

Everything here is great, has a pool, hot tub, fitness room. Downstairs has a restaurant, food is good. And the best part, it's attached to a mall, but you can't hear the people from your rooms. Outs attached far enough away.

Absolutely marvelous staff. Very accommodating. GM was visible and wanted to ensure your complete satisfaction. Bell staff, great! Valet staff, exceptional! Even stood in the rain to ensure guests could exit the gate! Wow! Front office team, especially Lindsay was awesome! Housekeeping team — very thorough and protective of guest rooms. Location… perfect, accessible to EVERYTHING! The restaurant food was very good… but the banquet food was not good at all. Lunch and dinner … bland, tough and watery. Breakfast was better…

This is a convenient hotel with a nice restaurant/bar and connection to a monsterous mall. Date loved the ice cream shoppe. Staff are super friendly, even to a New Yorker. The room is clean, comfortable. I am mad about the bathroom stone showers and counters. The bed is cozy and the hall quiet.

One of the best hotels I have been to! I was here for a case competition and all I have to say is this hotel was AMAZING. The staff were wonderful, the rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The beds were beyond comfortable, I slept so well during my stay. I enjoyed the amenities such as Tazo tea and great toiletries! This hotel is attached to a beautiful mall, so make sure to put aside some time to explore.

I love the Winfrey! Check in is always fast with very nice Winfrey employees… everyone from the valets to the maids are super nice. Rooms are always top notch and service is fast, efficient and very friendly. I will always stay at the Winfrey when traveling back to Birmingham. It's connected to the mall so no driving and the interstate is right beside the Winfrey. I just love the Winfrey and will always stay there!

We stay here every year during the holidays for my daughter's birthday. We dine and shop and then enjoy the hot tub and heated pool. This year I immediately noticed some things were different than in the past. No water set out in the lobby and other little things like that. We've always called this our family hotel. Me and my husband come for anniversaries. Were always taken care of above and beyond. Disappointed this year the pool was shut down. Ask the office and they say not in season. Well that's the point of it all being heated. I said it was open last year at this time and he wanted to argue with me. Well were under new management is the reason I was given for all the sucky changes. No one in my family will stay here anymore, well find someplace better!

We just checked in and we will definitely not be returning to this hotel. First we arrive and it's hectic from a convention, this is not the problem because as an avid cosplayer I enjoy conventions. The valet told us to park in the no parking fire lane. When we were given our room, it was not what we paid for. We were given a ninth floor room with club access instead of the concierge floor and told it was the same thing. It most certainly is not! The staff has not been helpful and has only offered an apology for their mistakes without offering to remedy them. I would have to compare our "club level imitation" room at best to a holiday inn room. Not worth the money spent at all. I do not recommend staying in this hotel.
