Enjoyed the time here! Great rooftop bar and beautiful room.

Was very surprised and disappointed that a hotel would want to charge a small senior class $250 just to take photos at their hotel. I guess the hotel is not interested in supporting the local communities just their bottom line. Ross bridge never charges!

When we checked in I was so impressed with the hotel. What a lovely staff, extremely helpful. Everyone you meet is so happy. I fell in love with the southern hospitality. Coming from Los Angeles. To parking your car and assisting my husband with a walker. You guys nailed it for hospitality. Merry Christmas. Michael and Robert.

Boutique hotel in Downtown Northern Birmingham with valet service and lobby gift shop. Efficient friendly hotel staff. Midsize rooms beautifully decorated with in room refrigerator and Kerug.

The service was incredible! The design was extremely impressive. Bed and bedding was luxurious. The people give you white glove treatment.

Rooftop bar is absolutely stunning. Drinks are great. Hotel seems really nice too, we want to spend a night there even though we live right by! The elevators are really fun too.

My daughter and I were traveling and my husband booked this place for us as a surprise! We loved it. We arrived late and luckily the kitchen was open. The food was good! The views from the rooftop bar area were really neat. The beds were comfortable! The people were great! Thanks to Jahugh, Rekiya and the two sweet men at the front desk, all were very nice and helped us with checking in, car parking, luggage moving and lots of questions! Love that the hotel is a fully renovated beautiful old building with details that aren't duplicated in new hotels… definitely not cookie cutter! Thanks for taking good care of us and we will be back!

Great location in the downtown. Plenty of eating options nearby and the rooftop bar is amazing. Rooms are nice and bathroom is humungous. Very friendly staff.

Giving 1 star due to customer service. Customer service should be the top priority. I called on 4 different occasions in the past 2 weeks for quotes for an event. The front desk seems to not care & only leave the sales department responsible. I even asked for the lady at the front desk to give my name & number to the sales clerk & she replied "we can't be responsible for information for other people". Long story short… I have yet to receive a phone call back from the sales department. Not only did they miss out on booking an event, but also multiple (10+) rooms for a 3 day weekend.

The staff at the Elyton was incredibly nice and helpful. The folks in the roof top bar were incredible as well. Check in and check out was very convenient. Valet guys were great. The hotel was beautiful and the beds were some of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. The only downside was the bathroom and shower situation. If you're traveling with a group please consider this. There's nothing closing off the shower or bathroom to the room. There are doors that don't lock and the shower is basically in the bedroom. We were able to work around it but an extended stay would've made this more inconvenient. However, at the end of the day, everything was great.

The staff was wonderful, helpful, and kind. The room was lovely, bed was comfy, and the location was great. The rooftop bar Moonshine has amazing views and delicious drinks. Within walking distance to Pizitz Food Hall which has tons of great options.

This place is stunning and the staff is amazing! Can’t wait to stay again ❤️❤️

I don't know where to start… This hotel is beautiful inside and out, and the company I work for and I had a great time while staying here. BUT both my company debit card and personal debit card numbers were stolen by an employee of this hotel — and close to $4, 000 stolen from both accounts. While the staff has been friendly with helping, I have not heard any news of an actual investigation into this matter by the hotel GM or anyone else. Both cards were only used once during my stay in Birmingham and both charges were made at the hotel while I stayed. I am very alarmed that this has gone on under the nose of such a renowned hotel. Be on high alert of your card information if you stay here. Or don't stay at all.

Staff is very accommodating. Hotel is a revitalized building with lots of nostalgia. Rooms are small but very nicely decorated. Bathroom area has zero privacy. So if you are traveling with other than family that could be an issue. Great views from the city view room. Downtown Birmingham Alabama has been revitalized with great success. Dining has a simple but tasty menu. Rooftop bar is a nice touch with a cozy bar and great views.

Elegant. Classy. Modern. Every staff person we came in contact with we're super nice and helpful in a genuine way. Roof top bar was fun. Plenty of inside and outside seating. Good fire oven pizza. We'll visit again.

Very nicely appointed and updated rooms. Old classic hotel feel to the building but updated too a more modern feel. Walking to restaurants, ballpark, breweries, coofee shops.

This hotel has become a favorite in the area. The rooms are small but it is a boutique hotel. The service, food and drinks make up for the small rooms. The rooftop bar is now the go to after work spot. The vibe is always relaxed and is definitely a hot spot for young professionals.

Beautifully refurbished hotel. The rooms are well decorated, clean, and cozy. The restaurant is delicious. My husband is vegan and the chef was more than happy to cater to his needs. The rooftop bar gives exquisite views of the city. Ride up on a clear evening and prepare to see Birmingham in a whole new light. Staff was friendly and helpful — they even gave us an extra dessert when they found out it was our birthdays. Stay for a weekend getaway or visit for an evening drink… either way… check this place out.

The Moon Shine has the best view of the entire city on the rooftop! The pizza is delicious! The server amazing. Alex really went above and beyond with the Moon Shine Bar Downtown!

I visited the rooftop bar for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience! The bartenders and waiters made sure everyone at the bar was taken care of and had what they wanted. I will definitely be going back! The view from the roof over the city is BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful building. Wonderful kind friendly staff. The hotels was full of wonderful smells. From when you walk in the front door and the smell of the restaurant. To when you walk in your room. I agree with other reviews parking is a pain. It is just easier to pay the valet.

The rooms were AMAZING! The restaurant was SPECTACULAR! It reminded me of what my college dorm should have been. The rooms are quaint but decorated so modern and chic. Breakfast downstairs was probably the best I’ve had away from home in years. I DEFINITELY recommend this hotel for future visits to Birmingham. Enjoy!

Wow! This place is very nice! The hotel has soucb history it the rooms are ultra modern. It's a really nice mix. The staff here is super friendly and accommodating. The rooms and the hotel are very very clean. I can't wait to come back!

My second time staying here and I have to say that I am absolutely in love with the service I have received particularly from a manager named Derek. The first time I stayed, I had an issue with my room where the washroom seemed to have been used after the room was cleaned. When I called the front desk, this gentleman found me another room, upgraded me to a suite on a higher floor despite being at full capacity at that time of the year. In addition, he offered complimentary drink at their rooftop bar and then later went out and brought me a latte from a nearby Starbucks all because someone had seemed to have used the washroom after the cleaning lady must've cleaned it which I am guessing may have been a guest who checked in, used the washroom and requested a room switch for whatever reason. While I understand that it was the hotel's responsibility to have checked the condition of the room before assigning it to me, they did not have to go out of their way to apologize and compensate for it. I have stayed at some of the elitist hotels and I have to admit that it all comes down to the service and hospitality you get from the hotel staff for which I would give them 5 stars! On my second stay, I have already experienced so many little things where he has gone out of his way to make my stay comfortable that I am bound to stay here when I come next. Derek, if you are reading this, please know that your hospitality is much appreciated! Keep it up! Sania.

Staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean with a unique blend of modern and historic decor. It has the charm of a newly restored historic building with trendy feel as well. The rooms are a little small (at least the one we stayed in) but the room design works well. Lots of technology within the room… digital LG room controls, iPad, master control for lights, and of course a flat screen TV. All in all we enjoyed our one night stay and will be back. We will also recommend this place to others.

This is only based on my experience at the moonshine bar on the roof, and I have not explored the other aspects of the property yet. That being said, I loved it. The staff was amazing, the cocktails and service were great, and the atmosphere was absolutely charming. Great place for a get together with friends, or for a date. Look for Clarence and Ian behind the bar and you will be well taken care of.

Outstanding addition to Birmingham in the middle of downtown's exciting revitalization. Beautifully finished with gorgeous elements of the building's original build. Great views from the cozy rooftop bar, and the restaurant is a comfortable place to dine. Guest rooms are well-designed. The enthusiastic staff is still a bit green two months after opening, but they will get there. A delightful place to stay in the Magic City!

For the level of amenities and luxury, this new hotel is difficult to beat. We were very appreciative of the polite and attentive customer service we received here. The rooftop bar was second to none. Please visit this hotel. You will not regret it.

The renovation work is beautiful and the Yard has some of the best food in the city. The rooftop bar is definitely a must see. They don't build hotels like this anymore & it's such a wonderful part of Birmingham history that has come back to life.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel shortly after it opened. My advice is please don't open your doors until you are ready to take care of your guests. We arrived to find out that the dining options were not open and these were the primary selling point on the website. When we asked for other options, we were met with blank stares and an empty lobby pantry. There were only a few bottled waters and soft drinks. The shelves were empty. The room was very nice, small, that was expected. I would call ahead and make sure that the sidewalk construction is complete because the valet person might not ever come out and help your with your car!

The bars both upstairs and down are just beautiful! The renovations balanced an updated, modern feel with lots of authentic, historic touches like the original marble and gorgeous scale of the place incredibly well. We had great service, and really enjoyed the diverse and interesting wine, beer, and cocktail menus. Excited to try their food soon.

We celebrated my sister in law's 40th last night in a suite + extra adjoining room prior to eating downstairs at The Yard! ✔️The staff were wonderful and accommodating throughout! ✔️The rooms were beautifully designed, clean and comfortable! ✔️The food at The Yard was delicious… very impressed for it being their second night open as well as serving 12 of us at once! The rooftop bar needs some tweaking for faster service but overall we all had a great time at this new addition to downtown Birmingham! Will visit again!

Wow! Beautiful hotel and the staff was very friendly. I really wanted to give this hotel a 5 star rating since they just opened. Knowing that they only opened days before our stay, I wasn't surprised when it wasn't perfect; however, there were a few issues that we had that probably shouldn't have happened. First, we had a very large cockroach in our room. Also, we did not have an alarm clock (Bose) which was advertised. I mentioned both to the front desk and realized that we weren't the first quest that complained about cockroaches. I assumed that when we got back to our room someone would have put an alarm clock in our room. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The biggest problem for me was the lack of housekeeping. At 4:30 pm they came to our room to see if we wanted any service that day. She didn't even come with a housekeeping cart, just asked if we wanted service. I did inform them that we wanted our coffee and glasses refreshed our our bed made. When we returned to the hotel from dinner our room was serviced. I feel it is unacceptable that we had to tell them we wanted our room serviced. That all being said, this hotel is as unique as it is beautiful.

Still building I had the opportunity to deliver here and just the look of a hotel in the heart of downtown is awsome.
