We had a wonderful Christmas brunch with friends. Every single staff member we spoke with was full of Christmas Spirit, happy, and outgoing. They helped make it a perfect day ❤️

For the price of the rooms and doesn't have refrigerator or microwave no free breakfast. Everything is a extra charge so glad this was just for a wedding I would never stay here. I have been to way better hotels for better prices and more amenities! But the wedding was beautiful! The staff was very nice!

Enjoyed staying here and everyone was very nice. Lost my ring and they brought it right up. I was so thankful because it was my mother's ring. I loved the room and especially the art. I will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place just drop dead gorgeous. The guy who worked the front desk last night and everyone of the valet guys are rock stars. They were almost more excited to help us surprise my son and his girlfriend right before they got engaged.

The front desk messed up on billing and management was unprofessional, rude and uncaring! Certainly not the treatment anyone would expect from such a beautiful pristine hotel…

Fabulous hotel and space for local fun! Martinis and food at The Habitat was wonderful — and we haven’t left the property as everything is right here or “around here”. The lovely Grand Bohemian Gallery that’s attached to the hotel is great too! Birmingham rocks!

I absolutely loved it… me and my good friend went a week ago … I spent alot of cash but it was so worth it… especially to see the smile on her face … she nor I have ever experienced such a top drawer, high class outta this world hotel i'd rate it an absolute 10 and 1/2

Average place. Overrated. Overpriced. Poorly executed. On that note. Not a bad place to see/be seen and have a drink. If I were to eat out I would choose one of the multiple James Beard award winners within a few miles of this location. Go for the scenery and social. Not the food or drinks.

Beautiful property. Buffet lunch at a corporate meeting was excellent. Restaurant and bar are also very nice. Great shower!

Spa services were wonderful. The staff was polite and very friendly. Everyone was super nice. I will definitely be going back for another massage.

The place is very nice, fancy but for such a upscale place I was expecting a better service. I have 2 kids, I asked for a roll over bed, they charged me $25/night for it, but they brought it, they gave use the bed and with pillow and sheets separately, we had to make the bed ourselves. Also they don't offer free bottles of water, it's $5 each.

Located in the Heart of Mountain Brook, Al. This Location brings so Much elegance to the area. This hotel has some amazing artwork, a rooftop bar, cooking class, wine tasting, game room, spa and a nice pool! I have been to this hotel twice and stayed once. The rooms are large and decor is nice. My sister had her wedding here in May 2016, the staff was great! I celebrated my 26th Birthday here on the rooftop and they let me have it my way! I love the scenery!

Jeff, the Valet was the reason they get a 5 star for service. Thank you, Jeff. The establishment is beautiful, ethereal, escoteric… it was almost like Alice in Wonderland. If you appreciate beautiful places and artsy atomospheres, you won't be disappointed. I really loved the decor. I look forward to returning during the day time.

Great hotel with an eclectic funky vibe. I've been to Birmingham over a dozen times and never been to this cute little area.

I was only there for a cooking class, but I enjoyed the time spent. It's very nice and clean. Friendly staff and lot crew.

Hotel is in excellent condition and artfully laid out. Rooms are very nice and the hotel is in a nice quiet commercial neighborhood with multiple nice nearby restaurants. Has a nice quiet pool and the rooftop restaurant and bar had some very classy and tasty desserts. Service at the hotel was uniformly first class. We visited over the 4th of July and it was very quiet at the hotel and got some great rates. Make sure to try the nearby Another Cracked Egg for breakfast or brunch. Be advised that the hotel has no place to buy water or soft drinks. It has a nice gallery, but no sundries shop or soda machines. Highly recommend.

Conflicted review as well. My wife and I loved taking trips to Birmingham and staying at this hotel. In fact, we have only stayed at this hotel consistently for the past several years. However, this visit was the worst. First, the room needed maintenance and, after we checked in and departed to our wine tasting next-door, we assumed that our request for the maintenance would be done on the sink, which was significantly clogged, and would be repaired while we were gone. We were gone for four hours and when we returned, nothing was fixed. When I made a second request, I was ignored by a young and immature member of the staff. And again, nothing was repaired during our duration. Also, I noticed the refrigerator in the room did not work properly, which I recalled happened the last time we stayed there. Also, there was a significant amount of hair in the shower and the toilet area, which is a pet peeve of mine — so gross. The bed was comfortable. The artwork and ambience is always a plus. I also recommend the wine blending class, we had so much fun! Cassles is so knowledgeable and gregarious. Overall, we were disappointed with the condition of the hotel and nonchalant attitude toward maintenance but, it’s still the best location in Bham.

Amazing decor! One of the favorite roof top bar in Birmingham. Happy hour M-F 3-6:30 with small bites like flatbread and fried okra during the summer!

This hotel is over priced and over rated. We had a weekend reservation but had to check out a day early due to an emergency. We checked out early and requested to cancel the second night prior to checkout. They refused to cancel the second night and offered no explanation other than its our policy. Customer service is very poor. The hotel is beautiful, but you may want to select a different hotel if customer service is important to you. This establishment does not represent the true mission of Marriot establishments.

Very unique hotel. We actually went to Habitats, the rooftop bar. Service was very slow and it was a bit pricey, but it was a pretty neat atmosphere. Had the flatbread appetizer, and it was pretty delicious.

Conflicted review. Great venue. As previously seen in reviews, despite a light crowd service was slow. Ordered a Johnny Walker Black and got a Jack Daniels. Our waitress was inattentive, had to flag another waitress twice. Wedge salads were great. My ribeye dinner was great. My wife’s Alaskan King Crab dinner was poorly represented on the menu. It was served out of the shell, diced up and mixed with vegetables. Almost like a stew and a pitiful amount of crab. Disappointing. So food was good, bad and service ugly. Well, not ugly but sub par. One and done. BTW, why aren’t the reviews in chronological order?

Absolutely fantastic. Every single employee as professional as they come and the woman at the desk when we arrived was no less than a 10. This place is reverent of art and detail.

This was a topnotch venue that we held a Keller Williams Realty event with technology training. The Wi-Fi was fast and had no connection problems all day. The facilities where nice and the friendly staff was very helpful. You can walk to several restaurants and shops.

Excellent stay and a beautiful property. Such a great stay I actually moved in right behind the hotel in the apartments. I love this area of Birmingham.

Attending end of year horse reception here. Decor over the top. Hope your kids don’t mind paintings of topless ladies. I am sure it is luxurious but felt a little pretentious to me.

The Grand Bohemian was well-revered by my local friends as an upstanding establishment in the already affluent Mountain Brook. Expectations were high, but the courteousness of the staff from the valet kindly pointing me in the right direction to the servers tending to the guests of the wedding, exceeded those expectations. I would highly recommend the Grand Bohemian for any event worth its salt.

The wife and I were at the botanical gardens and decided we wanted to hit up a happy hour so we went Habitat on the top of the hotel. Really quite on a Monday but thats what we were looking for. We each got a cocktail and we sharred shishito peppers and pork belly tacos and were out under $45 with tip.

Great staff. The accommodations were fabulous. Nice view.

Attended a work party in the billiards room which is just off the bar area. The decor is very Alice in wonderland — esque but I liked it. The oysters and charcuterie were incredible. The never ending summer cocktail was good but all the drinks were massively overpriced. Outdoor area is pretty but would've been nice if the heaters were on. Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Had drinks at the bar upstairs. Beautiful location and pretty tasty food. Great atmosphere!

Will probably stay here every time I visit Birmingham. Lovely property filled with beautiful decor and luscious, if not somewhat disconcerting, art (see photos of horse). Hey, that's art, right? Bar and restaurant on property, which is nice for a nightcap after going out in Birmingham. Valet were all extremely efficient and courteous. Pro-tip: get bottled water at the valet stand when dropping your car off and picking it up. Never had to wait for the car to be brought around, which is rare. Nice, well-appointed room. However, no way to get Netflix or Amazon prime on the TV and channel selection was weak. This is a fairly new hotel, I believe, so that seemed strange. A little over 200 rooms, so good-sized hotel. Loved the water closet, nice to have it separated from the shower and vanity.

Was a wonderful experience. Relaxing atmosphere right from the start with beautiful paintings on the walls of the room and soothing music already on when you walk in. Very spacious room, comfortable beds & pillows. I had a very tasty breakfast served at my room. My only complaints are that the valet lost track of our car and took almost an hour to pull it around, and my breakfast was delivered to my room almost 10 minutes after my desired time. I wouldn't consider these as "deal breakers", just inconvenient at the moment. Otherwise was a wonderful stay!

Best Sunday brunch in town. Huge upgrades over the past 3 months. The restaurant manager is extremely nice.

Luxury accommodations in Mountain Brook. We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving there. Excellent facilities.

One of the nicer hotels I have been to. Very visually appealing, very clean. There was live music with our dinner it was very enjoyable.

It is a beautiful hotel with amazing decor and artwork! I attended a wedding I was in and the staff were amazing and very accommodating. All the food I had was very good. Highly recommend!

We attended a Gala hosted in one of the Grand Bohemian Hotel's luxurious meeting rooms. The meeting room and the rest of building was very artist, yet elegant. The staff of the hotel were warm and friendly. The rooftop restaurant and bar was laid out nicely with indoor & outdoor seating, a pool table room, bar area with seating, and a hallway that led to the rooms where they host cooking and wine blending classes.

I attended a fundraiser for a non-profit. The hotel is very accommodating and the staff are very professional. I enjoyed my time at the event and will come again. I'm looking forward to spending an evening at the restaurant or even in one of the rooms in the near future.

Location is beautiful. Attended a breakfast work meeting. All of the food looked delicious. I had the oatmeal and it was okay. Not the best but not the worst. I should have gotten the crab cake benedict.

Went to a social event in the ballroom, everything about the hotel was gorgeous. The decor and location were phenomenal. The staff was amazing and it is perfect for dining, drinking, or a luxurious weekend or ever night stay. Also I do not work there, but that doesn't mean I would not highly recommend it for a very classy get a way, lovayed next to the Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

Our server, Kimberly was amazing! And Brent the bartender made the best drinks ever! The food was great too. The ambience was great on the rooftop! Just try it, you'll definitely enjoy it!

Parking was a little odd. If you were lucky, you could catch a spot in front, but otherwise, you had to park in a back lot, or you could use the valet. The venue itself was absolutely stunning. A beautiful place. The staff were very friendly and prompt. Food was paid for because it was for a business meeting, but I have to say that I would not pay to eat there myself. I enjoyed it, but I can't imagine spending a lot on it for myself. But as a business venue, I enjoyed it overall.

So, I attended a cooking class here last week and for my birthday this week really wanted to try something new but also nice. I thought this would be the perfect spot. The atmosphere obviously did not change, that was a pro; our waitress was awesome but from the other encounters I saw take place I think we just got lucky. The main area of disappointment was actually the food. It is good. But for a $40 steak I don't want good, I want at least great. I don't even expect "greatest steak of my life, " but not just okay for a $200+ meal if you include drinks. Honestly, I probably won't be back. I can go to Bottega for almost the same prices if not less and a better meal by far. Don't waste your time or money you guys. Harsh but true!

We found this hotel online and absolutely loves it. It's unique and convenient. We love the restaurant. They have excellent breakfast menu and the chef is amazing. The cruvinet collection is awesome too! We will definitely go back.

Most unique hotel in the Birmingham area. Rooms are large and comfortable. Bar/restaurant great gathering spot. Works well for work and leisure travel. Walkable to other restaurants etc in Mountain Brook.

Stayed there while attending Porsche Sport Driving School and my friend and I were treated like absolute royalty. The rooms were lovely, service top-notch, and the staff treated us like family. Well, actually better than family — my family would not offer to go get a bottle of wine or upgrade my room or pour me a glass of champagne when I walk in the door. Highly recommend!

Very great atmosphere. Staff is very professional and courteous. Many interesting paintings to look at, a wine vending machine, and the décor is just beautiful in general.

It's a great venue, unique decor, nice ambiance, music isn't too loud for conversation. It is on the pricier side though.

Spent the night on a Saturday night for the St Jude fundraiser hosted by my employer, Hollywood Imports and sponsored by Merrill Lynch and some others. This is a really nice hotel and we are so lucky to finally have a first class hotel in city. The venue for the St Jude party was perfect and the dinner just delicious. The bar was expensive but the scotch was Glenmorangie so that worked out nicely. Loved the room, the whole hotel and the room service. They were serving complementary wine or champagne for all guests checking in — but never offered us any. Must have been our attire.

Everything was great. Very Clean. Super Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Less than a 10 minute drive to download town.

The decor alone is worth going for. Great drink selection. The food options in both the bar and restaurant were phenomenal. The service was unmatched.

The place is beautiful! The valet was slow and disorganized-one of them honked the horn at the other and they were running back and forth looking for our car that we could see from the drop off spot. The hostess at the restaurant was nowhere to be found, we had to wait on menus to be printed, the server was very nice but not very knowledgable when asked questions about the ingredients on the menu. The trout at lunch was good bit the beans it was served with were undercooked and the potatoes were cold. I would give them some time to get their act together and try again because the facility is absolutely beautiful!

Visited for a cocktail and had a wonderful experience. Didn't eat but loved the menu. Can't wait to come back and try the wines. Demian is great!

We stopped by on a Sunday morning after visiting the botanical gardens (across the street) to checkout the new hotel. This hotel is decorated with many modern oil paintings, and has an artsy, if not over done, vibe. The restraint on the third floor is very reminiscent of "Alice in Wonderland. "

Great new spot for Birmingham. Beautiful, hip bar! Très chic!

Awesome venue, good crowd of people, kind of over priced for drinks but if you're paying for the atmosphere it's worth it.
