I have only been in the cigar bar but really enjoyed it. Very authentic with great selection of cigars and spirits.

We had a short but very nice break at Storchen. Enjoying stuffed Avocado, Bündnerplättli and an Icecoffee with a view on the Limmat. Very friendly service as well. What could one want more?

@storchenzurich Chose to have lunch at ‚der Piazza‘. So sad that nice hotels employ rude serving staff. It doesn’t cost a bean to give your customer at least a smile or a simple welcome. Humility and friendliness say more than haughty arrogance. It’s cute in Paris NOT Zurich. Suggest better staff training unless the hotel isn’t bothered about the opinions of mere diners.

The absolute finest hotel I have EVER had the pleasure of staying in. The customer service from the entire staff was impeccable and the amenities are top-notch. Centrally located in the heart of downtown, you are in the middle of it all and also have easy access to the rail station for day trips to surrounding towns.

I've been visiting this hotel since I was 1 or 2 years old, I have seen this place evolve through time and become one of the MUST places in Zurich. The staff is exceptionally polite and helpful, every thing you need they will get you eg. Taxi, tickets, attractions, booking for restaurants and much more! The rooms are very comfortable, now after the slightly Asian style renovation the room are even more user friendly with easy to use switch's and even with a Nespresso coffee machine and a nice selection of coffee and tea — included in the room rate, large beds with good pillows and even if you want different ones just let the reception know and they will change you to whatever you want! And there is a large selection. Breakfast have a decent food selection from western to traditional Swiss food, and there is a proper menu if you wish to have it more adjusted to your needs. At night you can have a drink down stairs at the coffee bar or at the cigar bar (do keep in mind the smoke! ) And prices are reasonable to Zurich area. All in all, if you want a good location, premium service, and good time to chill out and go for shopping with out the need for a car, so this IS the place, look no further. Some will say it's expensive but remember the good old saying "You pay for what you get" and you get quite more then you pay trust me! More then 20 times been there and NEVER got disappointed.

Great location in Old Town! We loved the views of the square from our room. The service here is wonderful. You must have a drink on their patio overlooking the river. 5 stars, A+++!

Hotel Storchen (The Storch) is one of the best hotels in Zurich. It has one of the longest traditions but it is absolutely modern and it has definitely the best location with excellent views. Upscale hotel/restaurant/bar with classic but new interior: Outstanding location directly at Limmat river. Service and drinks are good, prices accordingly. Funny maitre d'! (He poured us all water from a Gin bottle into shot glasses which made us think "GREAT: one on the house! " at first. Entertainment guaranteed…)

It was a very clean place. Very nice rooms and great staff.

Top location and personnel, with top tier room quality in every feature. Supplies a walk around cell for touring in each room. Breakfast in dining room is stunning in view and elegantly done. Superb end to our tour.

We had lunch at this restaurant today (21.04.2018) and it was amazing. There were 4 adults and 2 babies in our party and the staff were great with the babies. All the food was very tasty. The menu was short but I think it has something to appeal to all guests. We were there for a long time and they were setting up for dinner but never once did we feel rushed to leave. We will return in the future.

I'm often in Zurich for work and pleasure and when I come here I always give myself a dinner, a drink or a lunch at this wonderful hotel at the restaurant.
The place is lovely, very well looked after and the service impeccable. It seems that the staff do everything to make you feel good and comfortable.
I really like the choice of dishes on the menu and we always start meals with a good glass of champagne.
In the summer, we're always outdoors on the river having a drink at the Storcher Bar.
The location is great, in the middle of the old town and so you don't even need the car.
It is no coincidence that this place boasts more than 650 years of history.

My valuation is outside the building. I don't know its interior and the quality of hotel. I was very sympathetic to the storks on the roof. Not bad! Very striking! and very creative.

From hotel & roomdesign, staffing, food, drinks… EVERYTHING was on point!
I spend half my year in hotels and for years, this is without a doubt the best hotel I’ve stayed in.
Highly recommend and will only stay there from now on in Zurich!

I’m staying here now this is an exquisite hotel. I was not well yesterday the treatment I received from staff especially Doris was so very kind. My room has a lovely view the breakfast is more delicious then expected and they have gluten free options. Restaurant top notch. Bedtime is a breeze.

Even as a Zurich era, the hotel's location is overwhelming. The personal service and the courteous staff will be on everyone's day. The details that you discover in the house let you know again and again that you are in STORCHEN.

One of my favourite places in Zürich for a truly classic stay. The hotel, staff and restaurant are consistently good and this has become an annual visit.

Lunch on Fridays in November. Service Excellent. Quality food or value for money is not right. Tatar nicely prepared but no 42. — CHF Value. Char to the point and slightly glazed. Good Quality. Dessert from the evening menu and Excellent. Were later in the new cigar bar. Top quality and wide selection of Rum/whiskies & Gin.

I love this bar for a very cosy atmosphere and good selection of drinks and snacks. If you sit outside you get a fantastic view to the river and old town. There is a super cosy fire place too.

Rude waiter, no manners, need schooling, not in serving drinks, but in everday manners, disapponted.

Everything really good. The only drawback is that there is no parking space although the Buchungsplatformen is Advertised. This is misleading and not customer-friendly.

Good hotel with a perfect location on the Limmat River and close to most attraction points in Zurich. It's been renewed lately so most facilities are brand new. People are friendly and helpful. Nice place.

Without doubt, this is a fine hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the staff polite and efficient, and the breakfast is excellent. The location is good too. The only bad thing to say is that both mornings I stayed I was awoken at about 5:30 by local services outside, even though I was on the 4th floor.

Fantastic hotel, amazing service and brilliant attention to detail. Sadly only stayed for one night. But when I'm back in Zurich this is the only place I want to stay. (Don't miss the breakfast)

Love the hotel and the service. The design and furniture of the hotel is top notch. Highly recommended. The only thing I would improve is the website booking as you can only book one room at a time, we had to call the hotel to make a group bookings. Everything else is perfect. The restaurant printed personal menus with our names on it.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best prices around… Had soup and coffee while waiting for the tour boat to arrive at the pier just in front of the hotel. Attentive and polite staff, perfect soup, luxurious atmosphere, amazing view of the river and the rathaus. Couldn't ask for a better place to stop for coffee.

I went with a group of friends for the brunch last Sunday, The place has just been refurbished and they did a wonderful job at it! Very stylish lots of light and the location is a AAA. On what concerns the brunch though the choice was interesting, outside of the traditional bread, jam and croissants they also had a hot menu card and unexpected dishes like a tuna tartare or a scallop ceviche. My party arrived around 12 and by 13:00 they removed the main buffet and replaced it with a Desser buffet. As this was the first time we were there we did not know about this and nobody warned us, when we went for our second serving most of it was gone! And here is where disappointment starts as the quality of the desserts had nothing to do with the rest of the products. None of it was homemade and the quality was rather poor.
The rest of the hotel I cannot rate then I haven't used!

Excellent home made raviolis. Nice seating and view. Disappointing billing disaster: waiter team recommended Storch's aperitif without telling us that it was twice as much as the other drinks (CHF 22) then added another one "by accident" to the bill. When I talked to the manager we got no apologies for either, instead a lecture that the restaurant did us a favor because they also accidentally didn't tell us that the CHF 22 drink was for two instead of one guest.

Had been staying here since the first time in Zurich. The hotel located in excellent location — a bit further from shopping street with walking distance. The service is a show case for Swiss hospitality and offer superb breakfast.

The hotel is situated directly on the Limmat River. Terrace directly above the Limmat River, overlooking the old town, including the Grossmünster.

I stay there whenever I am in Zurich on business. Excellent service, good food, nice bar, friendly staff and a good nights sleep. What more can you want.

My rating refers to the restaurant which is on the terrace overlooking the Limmat. Pricey, like everything in Zurich, but absolutely worth it, you have a beautiful view of the river and the Old town.
