Dear guests of @Olivia_Balmes: I tell you how this Hotel treats its maids, the girls who clean and prepare the rooms for you. Yes, dear guests; This Hotel has fired us for putting the union inside. That's how they act. Another colleague was fired while on medical leave due to an accident at work. And so they fired many others. The rest are given more rooms than are humanly acceptable and they are told that at the end of the month they will be paid for extra work and when the end of the month arrives they not only do not pay them, but also the basis that they arbitrarily apply to us. What is established in the Collective Agreement of the Hospitality Sector; because the truth is that we have been working in an illegal assignment regime. Dear guests: This is how this hotel @Olivia_Balmes works with its employees. I write these words to you, our dear clients, so that you realize where you are coming on vacation and how you pay with your money to a company that does not have the slightest respect for its employees. Without maids there is no hotel. I hope these words touch your heart so that when you want to come to a Hotel, think well if the @OliviaHotels Hotels are correct. Thank you. It is the the worst hotel we have stayed in our money was stolen from the safe deposit box of our room No. 301 and a belt of my husband was stolen also on the 17th of November, the hotel didn’t do any effort to know who did this although there is Cameras in the hotel and it is very easy to know the thief.

The service was absolutely amazing and made evey effort to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of. I highly recommend based on the service, rooms and location. A Thank you bottle of champagne was also a great touch!

Back again but 6pm is too early for dinner at 8pm so settled for delicious Tapas, wine and excellent, friendly service.

Posizione insuperabile! Fuori dall'hotel ci sono tutti I bus per arrivare ovunque e a 1 minuto a piedi la metro con di erse linee. Le camere sono molto spaziose e pulite, complete di tutto (anche se cosa comune a diversi hotel, non vi sono due prese elettriche vicino al letto da entrambe le parti). Per completare il personale è molto gentile e attenti ad ogni cosa. Assolutamente da raccomandare come hotel!

I booked hotel a little bit over priced but still have been very satisfied since super friendly staffs, especially door man from south America, he was a genuine guide when taxi was on strike and let me know how to get to the airport without delay, upgrade room, free late check in and out, free wine, and cake! I was super exhausted when I got there since there was no taxi and I hadn't prepared any information to get to the hotel and airport was nightmare literally. But as soon as I saw the upgrade room and wine, I was so happy. Anyway thanks for all staffs!

Overall a great place to stay. They check guests room cards at the front door late at night which I liked given the central and busy location. The sheets were a bit stiff/rough but that's my only complaint. Staff was courteous. I did not order any food or drinks so I cannot comment on the restaurant.

The hotel, the staff, the room, really everything was amazing. After we arrived they upgraded us so we had a room with a wonderful view to Plaza Cataluna. We got also a glass of cava for gift. Try the breakfast as well!

Great central location. Non assuming street presence but inside, the modern design, highlighted by the incredible glass floored garden patio / restaurant with a setting of a historic courtyard and churchyard was special. The staff was cordial and concierge very helpful. The room was very contemporary and colorful with a great view of the aforementioned courtyard. The only drawback was the unusual open concept both with a common shared glass shower / toilet pocket door.

Me and my husband and another couple, had to travel to go on a vacation on a cruise liner so we decided to spend two days before in the beautiful city of Barcelona and stayed in this excellent Olivia plaza hotel, right in the city center as soon as we arrived the porter handed our Luggage, while we where doing check in we also been offered a welcome drink we where very surprised we must say that all the staff at this hotel make you really welcome, we decided to have lunch so one of the waiters suggested to try tapas, we really enjoyed ourselves with his choices, I’m so sorry that I did not took his name but all I could say that he spoke good English, also all the waiters were very helpful. Our two days came to our end, and after doing the check out I’ve asked if we could come after our cruise to store our luggage as our flight was in the evening. As soon as we arrive again we were welcome by the porters and by the reception staff with a smile and asked how was our holiday on the cruise ship.

Convenient central hotel. They have rooms looking inside the hotel and doesn't get sunlight. Make sure this is what you want when they give you the rooms. I was in for business and that was good for a quiet and good night's sleep. Their breakfast is decent for a hotel breakfast too. Very friendly staff. I will stay here next time I come for work as well.

I went to a presentation, the food great, the facilities are a bit cramped but everything is very clean and the treatment very good. Highly recommended!

I only value the interior terrace, which allows you to isolate yourself from the big city in a cozy and surprising environment for its tranquility.

Front desk staff very attentive. Room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The shower was incredible. The only thing that lacked was the blow dryer.

Great location! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had “a room with a view” and that’s the only way to go with this hotel. The view makes the room feel more lively and it’s enjoyable to look down into the plaza. The only issue we encountered was there was a hair in our sheets, and even after they brought fresh sheets there was still another one. So perhaps it’s from their dryers or something. But the hotel was very clean.

An excellent hotel, not only for its facilities, very comfortable, but especially for the fantastic treatment you get from all its staff. Constant and personalized attention.

Location is excellent. The hotel frontage is not obvious and the main gate closes late at night. The security will open for you if you come back late. The room is okay but the toilet door design is bad. You can’t close properly from inside if your hands is sippers. Plus point : it allowed us to check out at 1.30!

Very good location. In the heart of Plaça Catalunya. All public transport: Metro, train, Aerbus (direct transport to airport T1 and T2). All very handy, shops, restaurants etc.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked directly with the hotel and I paid extra for a "room with upgrade" option. The upgrade was not specified, but it was around 10 Euro extra per night, and I decided to chance it. The confirmation email I received didn't mention the upgrade. When we checked in, the receptionist helpfully announced "You booked a standard room, but we've given you one with a view". The room was on the 5th floor, looking out at the back of a somewhat atmospheric rundown old church and some apartment buildings, not high enough for a real city view. There were two support columns, one blocking the open space near the bed and another blocking the large window. It was worse than the example of a standard room pictured on the website, so I was disappointed that I had paid extra for it. The hotel shouldn't offer that upgrade option, as it seemed the staff wasn't aware of it, and I felt a bit taken advantage of. Otherwise, location was fine, — right in the tourist district and very close to the airport bus drop off.

It's always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Its location is ideal (a few steps from the Ramblas). The staff are very attentive. Breakfast is delicious. Calm and restful.
At every trip to Barcelona we do not hesitate, we stay at the Hotel Olivia Plaza!

Very nice hotel with great service and very good breakfast. It would be a five star, but its problem with the air conditioning of the rooms Q does not give them. Great cold night and moments of warmth, with others of intense cold. If you fix it, it's a great hotel.

Very good hotel right in the center of Barcelona. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very modern you actually have a great view of the square. All the shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. As are all of the famous museums. The rates are very good as well. Very good hotel stay.

The location is fantastic. The hotel itself is chic and modern, however, the room sound isolation isn't good enough and you can hear the street sound clearly. The design of the room is a bit odd and doesn't give enough privacy to the guests. I would not recommend for two people to stay at the same room if you're not close enough.

Great hotel located in the very center of Barcelona, close to everything, shopping, restaurants, touristic attractions. Most of all, except very clean and quite rooms (even if we are located in the middle of everything), we appreciated the feeling of safety and comfort we experienced there. Staff attitude very ok, all in one, a great experience we recommend for everybody.

Hotel was OK, I travel a lot and stay at all sorts of accommodation so can provide what I believe to be an honest assessment against a number of other hotels in Spain and throughout Europe and abroad. For the $ and ratings I was expecting a little more to be honest. It's a nice hotel but not amazing. Location isOK, although a little noisy if you are facing the main square. You have to dodge the beggars and the fake hand bags sales on the way out, and the main bus stop for all tuscany is right out the front. Breakfast was just OK, again nothing to Ave about but OK. All accommodation in central Barcelona is expensive but I think you can probably do better for the price.

Best hotel staff ever in Spain. Stayed in Superior Terrace room. Terrace view was awesome. Bed was comfortable. Looks like newly renovated but the bathroom arrangement and finishing details could be improved. In general, enjoyed very much.

The hotel is very centrally located (on plaza Catalunia) Walking distance to Gothic square and Rambla. Easy reach from/to the airport, the bus station is across a street. Rooms are good and well equipped. Size of room is good considering we are in Barcelona. Staff is very friendly and provide good service.

Excellent location. Wonderful rooms. Delicious resturant. We absolutely loved our stay at the Olivia Plaza. I would recommend including breakfast with your stay, great buffet.

Great location and hotel staffs. They upgraded our room. When we got back our room, I was so glad to find out some cakes, a bottle of water and a kind message. Nothing to complain about their services. Unfortunately we had some trouble with the shower drain. Shower water ran out to the outside of the shower room and to the toilet. That was troublesome. Also the TV didn't work, could not watch any TV programs. One more thing to say is the table legs were unstable. My husband wanted to work with his Laptop on it, but it was too movable to use a PC.

The service is very excellent! The location is great. You are in walking distance of different shops, food courts and vendors. The bus line is across from the hotel you can walk across the street to the bus line everything is really close. I would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Guest requests are actively received (e. G. Missing items were organized immediately). The breakfast is clear, not too big, but very tasty. The rooms are good. The cleanliness could be a little better, but this is still within the scope of the allowed. On our next visit to Barcelona we will choose this hotel again.

If only I could put into words how fantastic the staff from this hotel have been over my mothers and my stay these past five days. From the moment we arrived we have been made very welcome, nothing has been too much trouble. The room has a truly amazing view and each morning we have watched the sun rise through the floor to ceiling windows. The room is very chic and of course clean with comfortable beds. We have enjoyed breakfast each morning and have frequented the bar each evening for lovely sangria. This hotel is so well positioned for just about everything Barcelona has to offer by way of shopping, tourist attractions and restaurants and bars. I recommend this hotel and will return again. Thank you Hotel Olivia for a wonderful stay.

This hotel has some of the best service you will find anywhere, very accommodating and spoke great English. The location is second to none, right in the heart of Barcelona with easy access to the Ramblas and hundreds of traditional pixos and tapas bars. The rooms are modern and clean with incredibly comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is decent, with a wide range of foods on offer, but you need to get in quick because it as a small space, and depending on what time of the year you go, it might be a bit chaotic down there. Highly recommended hotel and I will absolutely stay again.

Location very good, in Catalonia Square, from the aerobus Station and the subway station is within reach.

The hotel is located perfect. Very nice staff. Breakfast a little expensive so we have not tested (19eur/person). Soundproofing perfect!. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. It's really close to a lot of tourist attractions and the cruise ship terminal. They even gave us a couple of glasses of welcome Prosecco upon check-in. The view of the plaza is amazing!

Super fantastic food… quiet backyard relaxation with pigeons and basilica view historical walls and bell tower.

Hidden behind a facade on the busy Plaza Catalunya, takes refuge with a terrace that opens up to the romanesque Church of Santa Ana. And maybe by some gift of the Almighty, and by the contact with the stone walls of countless springs, the noise goes away and the frantic waving of the people forget. It is the best discovery you can make who accompanies someone shopping at the center. A rest assured, a few metres from Puerta del Angel, las Ramblas, Pelayo, …

In addition, in its interior hides the restaurant and bar 19, with a terrace/veranda with views.

An excellent hotel in the Centre, all within walking distance.

Located in the heart of Barcelona in plaza Catalunya, it is a hotel with modern décor and features an excellent restaurant, where the lunch menu is good and yet reasonable price.

Hotel is ideally located in the center of Barcelona. Easy access to any touristic site. Breakfast is rich. Staff is friendly and any request is promptly fulfilled. Rooms are large. BUT the modern design of the rooms' interior is not human. No cupboards, just some shelves and racks. No bathroom. Just 2 cabins: A shower and toilets with opaque glass walls. Sink is outside near the bed (with a mirrored sliding partition). No privacy when exiting the shower. No hangers for the towels. I Would not recommend staying un the hotel more than 1 night especially if travling with children.

Surprising hotel, is like an Oasis in the same center of the crowded Barcelona Catalonia square. Dessign Hotel with big room over 25sq metres. Lovely restaurant and stuning terrace inside. I recommend to spend a night or a meal here.
