Hostel is located in a very cool space. The staff here are very friendly, and the facilities were cleaned everyday throughout the day during my time here. Great hostel at an affordable price, would stay again.

This is the best backpackers I have come across in the whole of Durban. Its comfortable, they have white linen and a side lamp with the charging spot right next to your bunk. The bathrooms are always clean and the breakfast they offer is reasonable, I eat a lot so for me it was very light. There is parking if you communicate sooner and a bar as well. They plan city views and night outside for their people. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

A nice place for the average backpacker looking for convenience and a place to meet fellow travellers. Heads up: Hostels are unisex.

Worst place in Durban. Inhospitable. Hostile. The experience, silence from the owner and no sign of remorse at leaving a 47 year woman to walk the streets of Durban alone at night proves just how valuable my life is in their eyes. The treatment of special needs guests needs a revamp. Your key is still in my possession. The panic attack I suffered during the verbal attack on me, stunted my reactions. I am Autistic and suffer from ptsd. Your guests, were awesome though. Those from South Africa. The guests and staff from beyond our borders lack finesse and deliver a level of service I refuse to support in the future. Fool me once, your bad. Fool me twice? Legal proceedings against my husband will include an enquiry regarding the role you played, along with other bizarre events that look suspicious since my decision to file for divorce. You are under a false assumption that my quiet retreat meant that I accept such disrespect. I require pisitive action to change my rating. Respectfully, I inform you that I will use every law of this country to defend my rights. Should you decide to remain silent, my attorney will call within seven days of today, 24 February 2018.

Clean place. Friendly staff. A walking distance to the beach and ushaka marine. Lockers are available so no need to worry about your belongings. The main thing I loved was how comfortable the beds were. You literally forget that you are visiting because it really feels like home.

We stayed at Curiosity for more than a week. Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms, showers and toilets are always clean. It was our home away from home. Would definitely come stay here again and recommend to friends. Great location. Within walking distance of the beach, open market and shops.

A place with a very unique community vibe to it, food is good, the bar is limited, but decent, and the staff are absolutely amazing people. It looks stunning on the inside in a relaxed kind of way, despite the outside looking somewhat dubious and odd.

Spent 4 nights here for a conference at ICC Durban. I highly recommend this place for a budget traveler. The room was clean, they have clean kitchen where you can have light cooking, clean bathroom, and the staff were friendly and very helpful! They serve pancake, cereal and fruit yoghurt oatmeal for breakfast. For muslim traveler, they have halal food right next to the hotel, but the restaurant closed early around 4, so do prepare yourself a meal if ur about to be back at hotel after 4. Overall had a great time here!

Situated in the centre of Durban. It has a very youthful vibe. If you're not the party type then watch out for the young tourists who party late into the night. Don't venture around outside this venue at night due to prostitution activity. Uber to and Frpm venue is the best way to get around.

I have never sealed with sure dishonest people in my live. The manager avoids customers. Made my booking in June and paid deposit to my surprise. My booking was cancelled and was not even notified about it. When I checked was told stories that I didn't pay. Lack of integrity.

Great place to chill, only problem was that they don't serve non-alcoholic beverages.

Fine place. Value for money. However no soap, slippers or towel provided. Washrooms detached from the rooms about 30metres away.

The music is chilled. The whiskey is cheap. A backpackers paradise.

Curiocity Durban is perfectly situated for groups attending events at the ICC. There rooms are fresh and clean, all the basics are in place and an excellent kitchen offers selfcatering facilities. Highly recommended for travelers who want budget accommodation that's clean, comfortable and efficient.

Friendly staff, but very hard to find and poorly located. I spent an hour walking around in an area deemed unsafe by the staff, which is right next to the hostel, looking for the entrance. The dorm was fine and the place was clean. My food kept disappearing though, but I'm not sure if that was the staff or or other guests.

Friendly staff, great location, gorgeous decor and lots of events taking place to engage guests. Can't wait to check out the Jo'burg branch!

Wonderfully central location with public transport in close proximity, as is the beachfront and new beach promenade. Rooms are spacious and clean, tidy. Friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere. Bar and chill area on location. Would highly recommend.
