Wow, loved every second! Judy is amazing! The place is perfect for kids and private family functions. Absolutely going back!

Awesome fun vibes and such freedom for the children to play.

WOW! An idyllic place, ideal for a day's outing or longer. We had a fantastic time at The Cradle Rest, picnicking and picking strawberries. The view and horses, sheep, peacocks and geese made the day more memorable. There is also a pool, children's play areas and the land is vast (perfect for social distancing). Judy and her team were so accommodating and hospitable. Do yourselves a favour and contact Judy to arrange the perfect leisure time.

What a lekker place to spend time with the fam. Enough open space to have a game of cricket, swimming and strawberry picking. Love it.

Enjoyed a lovely weekend with the family — just a short drive away from the crazy city life! The rooms are basic, neat and clean — there are good braai facilities, and the nightly bonfire was a major hit with the kids! Judy and her family made sure we had everything needed to be comfortable, and even saved the day with meds when the baby was sick. Great spot for a picnic as well, with the peacocks, horses, sheep and ducks creating a great atmosphere. Their strawberry field is expected to be ready for picking soon — we will definitely be back for that!

Lovely relaxing Sunday with braai area and feeding the horses. Will be back again. The manager is really helpful and makes you feel welcome.

We spent our Sunday morning at The Cradle Rest. Judy and her family were very welcoming and friendly. My 4 young kids enjoyed feeding the horses and running around. The beautiful landscape and scenery were a breath of fresh air after the lockdown.

Christmas lunch was terrible. The cutlery was dirty, the food was not nice. Vegetables were overcooked, the oxtail was poorly done.
The ice cream for kids dessert was melted. They lied that they will serve Christmas cake for dessert instructions they had a muffin. It was a total waste of money. Very disappointing!
Would not recommend anyone ever!

Nice venue for a small wedding, engagement, 21st b day parties and even day conferences.

Jhb Health District, Pharmacist's year end function was held at The Cradle Rest today. A beautiful tranquil venue. Event went well, everyone was truly happy. Thank you — с Sofia Sirdar Mukadam.

It is a very peaceful setting with friendly staff. Our family enjoyed our stay which is close to Maropeng Visitors Centre and the Rhino and Lion Reserve.

A beautiful piecefull farm guest house.

Place is nice and quiet away from the city which was a plus for me and hubby. The bed was very comfortable. The pool needed some cleaning as it was filled with leaves and small bugs when we arrived.

The place is quiet, if you need to relax, the beds were comfy, pity there was no tv, but we enjoyed ourselves, they must just try to fix the entrance road, too many rocks.

My husband and I stayed here on the 4th of March 2017. We were greatly disappointed by the place. The buildings are dilapidated, the room had a smell like wet dog (no offence to dogs) and was also in need of proper maintenance. The other guests were extremely noisy and partied until around midnight and we had to get up at 4h30. Not a good experience at all.

We really had a wonderful, peaceful and very fun full weekend. Local is lekker, this is a place to be with friends and family. Thanks once more Annamarie for everything your such a wonderful human being and your staff is full of love, respect and they're kind too. I would come to this place every week if I had to bcs everything was perfect and professional nothing to criticize or complain about. Thanks you so much The cradle Rest.

Great place for the family, especially if you have young children. Lots of animals including horses. A good value for money venue.

This view is the best place is up to such high standards staff at The Cradle Rest is so welcoming love seeing my family and spending some time with them and would really recommend The Cradle Rest to everyone nice place to get a way from the busy city life
