We had our wedding celebration over 4days at Glenburn lodge. We had guests from all over staying at glenburn lodge. Linda, Claudia and Nigel were very approachable, responded very quick. Our guests were really happy with the hospitality service. Our wedding comprised of several festivities building up to the day of the wedding. Each celebration took place at a different venue within Glenburn lodge and that’s the beauty about this place you are not restricted to just one venue you can choose from many depending on the occasion.
The food from Day 01 — Day 04 was absolutely amazing we had no issues.
Claudia from banquets was the BEST, if you have your wedding at Glenburn make sure to ask for Claudia. She never says no, she tries her best to give you what you want. She is very friendly and I could give her a call for anything. Glenburn will always have a special part in my heart. It was the place that witnessed the union of two families from all over. Glenburn gave the best service from food to customer service.

I attended a wedding ceremony for George & Tlou on the 14th Feb 2020, the place has a very beautiful garden, chapel & a great big hall with friendly staff memebers. I enjoyed being there.

We had our wedding at Glenburn in February 2020, absolutely beautiful venue and I experienced the best service ever but it was unfortunately not the same on our wedding day. Our coordinator was not there and also the food & beverage manager that I was initially introduced to. My MC, family & photographer literally did the coordinator‘s job on our big day. As I left the Bridal boudoir, I saw my coordinator showing potential clients the venue it was so sad to arrive at the chapel and found guests waiting outside and all confused, drinks weren’t distributed as discussed with the beverage manager and my coordinator. When I complained about this management, I was told we had to pay for the coordinator, something that was never communicated with me before. Above all else, the venue is really beautiful, we had a beautiful wedding and I wouldn’t wish what happened to us to happen to anyone. Lastly, they mailed me asking for permission to post my wedding pictures, I agreed because they had already post them hours before asking. Disappointed bride

What an amazing venue! I am speechless. Planning a wedding is hard, but when you have this amazing venue and the most wonderful staff, it takes all the stress away! The staff that assisted us with our wedding was WOW, so friendly, on the ball and constantly making sure each and every guest is happy. The food, where to start… It was sooo yummy, it was the best food ever! There isn't a single bad thing I can say about our experience at Glenburn lodge. Spent two nights there. Lovely clean bright rooms. The carvery at night was excellent. The staff are very friendly. The spa treatments were fantastic. I will definately go back.

The drive to get there was long but it was worth it. Arrived just after sunset and loved scenery. A great place for weddings and going on a romantic weekend as a couple. The Staff was great and the buildings and rooms are in tip toe condition. Definitely a great spot if you want to get away from the chaos of johannesburg but also stay close to home.

Essential to make a booking. Sunday Lunch Buffet was great. Amazing choices for starters and Main and desert too! It isn't necessarily the most kid friendly place. Theres a small play area on the lawn though but quite far from the tables so I dont recommend it for babies or toddlers. Service was nothing to be admired. Price was fantastic though!

We had our Carfind. Co. Za awards function there, received excellent service from all staff. Accommodation was comfortable and catered for all our needs. Great venue with lovely nature views.

We had out Team Building with Catalyst/ Dream Team and the stay was amazing from the food to supper that I'm definitely bringing my sister and boyfriend next time. Thank you guys.

Since I have been visiting here the hospitality is way beyond perfection. I'm glad they even save their records, we booked here for our anniversary in just a hotel standard room but when we got here they surprised us with a Garden Suites compliments from Glenburn lodge as we are their regular guest. This is our second home here we even have a Timeshare chalet. Kind regards to all the staff from reception, dinning staff, chef, housekeeping through the maintenance staff. Thank you.

This venue is quite large with conferencing facilities and ample accommodation. You cross a suspension bridge to get to the wedding chapel which looks out over a river. The wedding chapel has its own parking area, beautiful gardens and water features with the reception venue a few metres away.

Glen burn lodge is absolutely fantastic. It has many options for food and drink. There is also a pool to swim, lovely river to walk along and amazing scenery. I had my wedding there and it was a fabulous day.

Great place to stay and have a conference. Only issue I had was with one of the waiters. He had trouble understanding me when I ordered. Otherwise very nice place. I recommend staying in the garden suites.

At the venue for a conference which they seem to specialise in. Taking into account the amount of people they need to cater for, they are doing an amazing job. The facilities are well cared for and the staff are friendly and professional. The location is great being close to Lanseria Airport and major centres. However it has a distinct country feel which makes it feel like a break from the city.

My girlfriend booked us for a couples spa weekend. It was my first time at a spa and this place is awesome. The staff is very professional. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a break.

I photographed a wedding at this place. It was amazing and serene. Safe and secure in the outer skirts of Johannesburg for anyone looking for a getaway from CBD. If you enjoy animals, trail running and cycling, it's perfect as well.

Attended a wedding ceremony at the Glenburn clove venue. It was a wonderful experience. The chapel is outdoors. The nature and surrounding was beautiful. They catered for children. The buffet had a wide variety and was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and assisting. Overall the venue is a great place for family gatherings.

Been fortunate enough to have two family members get married at Glenburn. 10 years apart but the atmosphere and setting were as great on both occasions. Kids loved the rock pool and jaccuzi.

My husband and I booked for our first year Anniversary stay at Glenburg Lodge, Friday and Saturday night. When entering our room it was made up with rose petals and a lovely plate full desert! Wow! and my husband only said it ones in his mail to them. The staff are friendly and welcoming, The restaurant was an amazing experience, with a 4+ course meal each night 5 star food! We also enjoyed a massage at the spa, and that was even more perfect — the staff are really professional. I would highly recommend the venue for a family holiday or just a quick breakaway. There is just so much to do, or just go and relax!

The luxury tented camps are like none ive ever seen. Bathroom has a toilet and a shower. You can fit about. 10 — 12 people in a tent and some tents have partitions creating different rooms. In winter they have heaters and electric blankets. Gas stove in the kitchens with a microwave and a kettle. Theres a heated pool, a conference room and a hiking trail.

It was a friends wedding and we decided to spend the night. From the time we checked in the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were sparking clean with beautiful furniture. The gardens were meticulously kept and beautiful. We often frequent some of the best hotels in SA and we were pleasantly surprised to find that Glenburn sits up there with some of the best. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay. We are considering returning however are not so happy with the rates for 2 people sharing in a chalet. The cost is for people due to it being a four sleeper. Sadly chalets do not accommodate only two guests.

I had one of the most awesome experiences at Glenburn Lodge! Although they mixed up the dates of my engagement celebration dinner and almost totally outed my intentions of getting engaged we managed to get a work around! Thank you to Alan and the staff for their professionalism, friendliness and caring services and for creating a second memorable dinner the following day… It's a weekend we'll never forget! O… And she said yes!

Very beautiful place and there was a really nice water fall that is stunning for taking pictures with as a background. The service I experienced was brilliant and I would definitely go again.

This was a disaster from the time we checked in to the lodge. The hotel standard rooms are extremely old and in dire need of renovations. The bath is scratched and appears dirty, the shower head sprays so big that you cannot actually get wet and the toilet is damaged. The towels are tiny and distinctly past their use by date. The bed mattress is old, worn through and uncomfortable. The linen is old, does not fit the mattress and has holes in it everywhere. There are absolutely no amenities in the room such as a basic hairdryer (although in their defense this is not advertised). Housekeeping screams down the corridors at each other at 8am on a sunday morning and comes knocking on my door at 9am when I check out at 10 — surely there is a system where they know the checkout rooms must wait until 10 to clean, this is how most hotels work. I am so disappointed in this experience and will not be returning, if it had not been for the fact that the wedding ended so late we would not have slept over at all the second evening. I would also never recommend people to this lodge. Besides it being in a convenient area for weddings it has nothing else going for it.

My husband and I booked (a much needed) stay at Glenburg Lodge, Friday and Saturday night. It's really close to home and the rates were so affordable. A hotel stay including dinner, bed and breakfast. They even accommodated our 2 year old daughter, who joined us on the Saturday night. The staff are friendly and welcoming, whether in the restaurant, at the reception desk or walking down the hallways of the hotel. The restaurant was an amazing experience, with a 4+ course meal each night — 5 star quality food! The breakfast spread was great — everything you can think of. Coffee, tea, fruit juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, warm breakfast whether you wanted fried eggs, scrambled, an omelet, bacon, sausages, mince, pastries and so much more! We also enjoyed a massage at the spa, with a glass of bubbles in the sun — the staff are really professional. I would highly recommend the venue for a family holiday or just a quick breakaway. There is just so much to do, or just go and relax!

We had a fantastic weekend at Glenburn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic. Better than most 3 star establishments. Facilities are a bit dated but are well maintained. The hotel grounds are very pleasant.
