YWCA Fort Canning Security Manager — Khairul should have never been in the Hospitality Business! An extremely repugnant, confrontational and obnoxiously impertinent creature. His propensity is to aggressively confront any guests to either scan in or haughtily “commands” them to remove themselves from sitting at the Lobby; just because he has recently put in place his own set of Covid restrictions protocols based on his figments of bogus imaginations! He thinks we are all in the military service and expects every guests to immediately jump to his orders or he’ll aggressively confronts the guests with his rants and mindless bickerings! He is delirious and delusional! Clearly has anger management issues! It infuriated him so much when I asked him to clarify his senseless and illogical protocols. He tailgated us all the way whilst interrogating me and my son! Khairul is a total disgrace and definitely a liability to the hospitality industry. His severely misplaced ego and self-importance clearly supersede his credibility and a substitute for his feeble intelligence! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There are many nicer and more hospitable hotels nearby but this is NOT! Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish! *ps* despite our very short altercation that day, I must admit that it does somehow appeal to my intellectual vanity. Considering the fact that Khairul is such a cretinous dunderhead!

It's a huge quadraple room. kids loving the swimming pool so much … walking distance to mrt dhoby ghaut and plaza Singapura.

Discriminatory! My kitchen had a leak so we had to do an urgent renovation and my dad was already hospitalized and was going to be discharged but couldn't come home because of the unsafe renovation environment. We painstakingly had to coordinate the renovation dates, the hospital, plus find hotels that were within the budget and price and emailed them nicely to ask if we could leave the wheelchair, a shower chair and my dad's luggage overnight a day before to which they agreed. After discharge, the manager HERSELF REFUSED CHECK-IN, saying that the hotel is not wheelchair friendly and they don't want to be responsible and that they would refund and for us to find another hotel and the coward manager left! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I was so flabbergasted because now we had so many things to transport and YWCA put us in a bind! Hotels aren't cheap to begin with, we don't drive and cannot afford expensive hotels and it was REALLY STRESSFUL and difficult for us to find a hotel that the physio therapist approved of and still be within budget for the lengthy amount of days! FINALLY after we were panicking and worried after a while, they allowed check in but made my mother sign a form to say if anything happened it would not be the hotel's fault. Since my mum had no idea what to do, and the manager left, I posted my complaint minutes ago, they deleted it without even addressing it, which is highly unprofessional. Don't call yourselves a hotel, if you only let able bodied people in.

Cafe lodge Mega Nasi Lemak is worth trying. Couple well with the drink!

Nice location. Opposite Fort Canning Park. Walk a 200m to douby Ghaut mrt station w circle line, north east line and north south line. Very convenient to travel anywhere. Nearby Malls — Plaza Singapura, UE square and Meiya-ya supermart.

Conveniently located near MRT station but property need maintenance. Air condition cannot be adjusted & leaking. Only towels available are bath towels. Otherwise place is clean.

Good helping the hotel to help the poor. Most of the proceed go to charity. Nice quiet place to stay with a swimming pool and a restaurant. The staff and guards very friendly.

The hotel corresponds to 3 stars. Everything's fine! Only there are no opening windows or windows. On the black staircase damp, mold, musty smell.

Place is clean with very friendly staffs. Went here for a birthday celebration buffet dinner. My favorite here is the grass jelly drink. And the roasted chicken taste good. However, there were only very few selections of food, nevertheless, it was good food.

The function room here is big and rectangular shape. Good for small events. Parking here also not an issue.

Cheap hotel, with terrible service and loud crowds of Chinese. The rooms stink of dampness, everything is covered with mold, the windows do not open, the rooms are not ventilated and poorly cleaned.

Compared to my last review a year ago, they seem to have slightly improved the quality of food served at their buffets. The buffets are reasonably priced with constant promotions such as 1-for-1 deals. One thing to note that some of chairs are getting dirty with age. It would be good if they considered reupholstery or replacing those chairs. Ambience is usually quite peaceful unless there are events or tour groups.

Location was not too bad. Within Orchard area. Place was quiet and staffs were polite. Can consider making a stay, it would feel more homely as its a lodge rather than a hotel.

Nice place in a central location. The room we got was for four and was big enough that we weren't bumping into each other. The view isnt great but with Fort Canning Park across the street, you can just walk over for view. We aren't the type to lounge around our hotel anyways so we're content with the amenities. Security is good as you need a key card to get to your floor. They do have a pool but if you're looking for relaxation around the pool, not here. The pool is filled with kids spashing around, and why not, it's the YWCA. You can eat at their restaurant or walk to the many shopping plazas around Fort Canning. If you're a light sleeper, there's construction next door. Otherwise, great place.

Visited the grace room on level 2 for an event. For some reason, was directed to the 3rd floor by the front desk staff, even though the lift buttons label it on the 2nd. Toilets are nice. Decent cosy place. Vending machine charges $1.50 for a can of coke. There is a cute souvenir store on the first floor.

Well worth it for the price! Prime location, clean room, good service and good enough swimming pool. However, the swimming pool might be fully occupied by swimming classes. But, the hotel cost us only 100 SGD per night, that's more than worth it.

Not a grand hotel but is good to organize company event here. Reasonable budget and the food provided taste good. There are two large function room here could House more than 300 person each.

Beautiful view from the windows. From the pool view of the 5-star Fort Canning Hotel. It's the perfect place. Nearby park and transport.

Fort Canning Lodge is suitably located near Orchard Road, one of the main shopping belt in Singapore. The place, however, does look a bit aged, though it is still cleanly maintained. It does offer a relatively inexpensive option near the Orchard Road area.

Location is relatively accessible. Rooms are decently sized. Would be better if there are sufficient signage/information on the location of the function rooms.

The hostel was great. Though a small room, they managed to fit many things, including a television. It was also very fancy and they had carpeted the floor for all of the rooms. Some rooms were bigger than others but cost more.

I have gone here to pick some friends up so I can't really comment on the guest rooms here. However, the ambience of the lobby is quite nice. I would say the receptionists have very nice and serving attitude which impressed me so much. They are helpful and friendly. They made extra calls to make sure I get my taxi when my taxi was late. Really appreciated their effort to make the guest feel welcomed and at home here.

The place is less accessible than the better-known YMCA, but it's very well-furnished.

In YMCA / YWCA traditions, Fort Canning offers a comfortable place to rest, in this property with it's bit history. Overlooks a park, view from 12th floor is spectacular, there is pool 7:am — 9 pm, spacious lobby, a hairdresser, a souvenir shop, a Coffee Shop, banquet rooms. Peaceful to stay here.

Went to eat buffet at fort canning lodge, the food was quite good. Only small downside is the spread is a little small. But the food is quite nice, staff were nice and the overall experience was good.

I stayed here with a group of primary aged students. This is not a hotel I would pick for myself. The rooms were a good size for Singapore and the staff were very polite and helpful especially with the children. The breakfast was good but not a lot of choice if you want to eat healthily. The beds were very hard and although the shower was hot the bathrooms are small and in need of renovation. The hotel is close to one of the main MRT interchange stations, bus stops and a shopping centre with several decent restaurants.

The staff are very friendly and experts in guiding you to places on this side of town. The position is excellent with transport and a variety of facilities and shops within easy reach. The hotel is fairly basic but the rooms are quite spacious with private facilities for ablutions. The information regarding in-house facilities is difficult to come by, however.

Nice place at a quiet side of fort canning. Just a bit hard to get a cab from here. Walking to dhoby ghaut would be a good option.

The rooms are really tiny but I enjoy the food alot. The service is okay, and acceptable. I like the fact that the ambience is cozy as well.

Reasonable price hotel in the dorm room style. Nice for more than 2 people traveling. Need to pay couples dollars for non-member at the check in.

I usually go there to visit the coffee house for buffet. The food is of acceptable quality with not much variety. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. The plus side is that they usually have a lot of promotions for their buffet such as 1-for-1 which makes it a really good deal to dine there. Ambience there is also acceptable. Usually peaceful and quiet with few people, unless there's an event.

Cheap compared to the other options near by. Great location! Close to the MRT. Nice clean rooms and kind stuff.

Spacious room and clean, but quite old. The breakfast buffet is really to the minimal… I prefer to eat at nearby place.

A good hotel.
From pluses:
Free Wi-Fi, good, medium-sized pool, perfectly prepared and linen washed well and position;
Water with normal pressure! (Sorry, after Bali we are relevant)
Cons:
Towels for two people we gave three (two large, toli toli's third leg for person) ;
Sometimes in the room you can see murav′išek;
All water and food in the room fee, even mineral (in this way you leave a deposit of s $ 20) ;
American Sockets, that when you can use dexterity by opening with a fork — are uncomfortable and they are few;
Without a trace of long operation rooms there.

Superb service superb food. Very impressed with the food quality at the restaurant.

I usually come here for dinner as it's quite peaceful. The food may not be up to par with most hotels, but it's definitely a good place to consider if you need a quiet place for dinner but on a budget.

Nice clean facilities. Bit worn with use, but overall a very good option for the family budget traveler. Will definitely recommend.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very big and had a nice view. The room was also equipped with all the travel essential. Very satisfied with the stay there. Would love to come back again for sure.
