Very friendly, helpful staff. A bit too cool for a winter stay, so be prepared for that.

Outstanding hosts! Property has lots to offer with a private beach below which is great for kids to swim and fishing. Kayaks available free of charge. Property has fruit growing — oranges, limes, feijoa’s. We used a few limes for cooking, best limes I’ve had in my life. The views from the house is like looking out at paradise. Why would anyone ever want to leave this place?!

Very nice hostel with decent kitchen (room for 4 people to cook at once albeit cramped). Dorm and bathroom were clean and reasonably sized. Bunk bed stacked too close together so kept hitting head but not too short. Location okay, very close to the beach and convenience store (bit pricey but an okau countdown is on 10 minutes walk)

Nice and cozy place. Always pretty quite. The kitchen was nice and so we're the bathrooms. Staff was super nice and relaxed. The place to stay if you want to check out Paihia and relax with not too much action in your hostel.

The Beach House is a resort of its own, providing luxury accommodation and holiday facilities I've yet to find better. Theo — and Hero — are excellent hosts.

Very small Room. Cleanliness can be improved in the Shower, Towels and Bedding. Looked very worn out already. Unfortunately, the other Guests were quite noisy late into the Night. Free WI-FI and Proximity to the Beach good. Lockers are available.

Pretty little Hostel with nice People and Staff, short Way to the Beach and to the Center + free wlan. The Bedrooms Are clean, unfortunately I was a bit Scared to fall out of the central High Bed:D The Kitchen is well equipped, however, I did not find it very clean, hence the one Point Deduction. Overall cheap and very suitable for young People.

The staff is super friendly, the rooms were clean and it's pretty quiet at nice which is great if you want to sleep! The Wi-Fi connection is fantastic and it's super close to the beach. I would 100% stay here again.

A very basic hostel that supplies towels and linens. Our room smelled a little of mildew and had some BIG spiders in the bathroom, but other than that it was clean. Very thin walls to the point that we could hear our neighbor using the restroom. Can't imagine how noisy it must be in the busy season! The plus is that the hostel is centrally located (as, well, almost everything in Paihia is) and has plenty of parking/seems safe. There are rooms on two floors (no elevator to get upstairs) and the beds are on caster wheels and can be moved.

By far our best place to stay on our honeymoon. We went to Paihia for 4 days looking for some relaxing time after touring all around the country in a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Here we found stunnung sights from the terrace, great facilities (we even had kayaks for our use, which we managed to ride to get to the island in front of the house). Also, the hosts Theo and Sopha were really kind, making sure everything was set and we had no problems at the house or getting around the Bay of Islands.
