I stayed here long time ago. The Lodge is ran by a nice couple. Rooms are huge. Breakfast is brought to the room and not only is amazing but is made per the guest’s preferences. Highly recommended. Michael Haephrati.

We stayed here as Auckland very booked out. Reception staff could not understand English. Strong urine odour in our ground floor room. Visited supermarket and got antibacterial spray to wipe surface aea and bathroom and sprayed copious amounts of air freshener around. Beds very comfortable hence the 1 star. Round dining table had a rough edge, nails holding beading on, and our clothes kept on getting snagged on it. Carpets very stained. Three of us in room and there was not 3 of everything in kitchen. Cutlery odd. Wooden spoon burnt. Heater on wall looked like someone had been cooking over it or had tried to dry clothing on it as stained baked on brown stuff evident. Light above kitchen sink, started flashing like a strobe in a disco, after it had been on for a few minutes. The bathroom window had one latch the other was missing. Shower tiles extremely dangerous — slippery as. I slipped over hurt my right arm bruised right thumb and left toe lost some nail. When I visited reception to report it was slippery and I had hurt myself and needed ice the woman who had very little English said they have no ice! So she went away and came back with a cold drink bottle. I said can I drink it after. She said No it's not mine. OMG what would happen in an emergency? Anyway would not recommend. Have to be desperate to stay here. Very last resort.

Super friendly owner. The service they provided was outstanding.

Great place to stay very near asb show grounds and great eating places. Room was good size and comfortable.

We booked our rooms through a travel agent, and thought we paid for deluxe rooms, but when we got there there weren't any deluxe rooms. Some lights didn't work, it had very tired decor, and was far from being deluxe.

A shower screen or curtain would help slippery tiles in bathroom. In need of upgrade and grounds behind units need maintenance.

Nice and clean. Not too expensive. Good staff to deal with.

This is the only place we can find in Auck that is pet friendly that's why I give it 5 stars.

Very clean and tidy, staff were very helpful, handy to supermarket, McDs and the motorway SH1. Absolutely loved our stay!

It's clean, comfortable and quite spacious. Close to a great park and shops. Friendly staff and easy access to Auckland.

Staff are AMAZING! Super friendly and cheerful always. Pets are allowed! Only like 2 places in all of auckland allow that. Sure, the bathrooms could do with a spruce, but the rooms are huge and comfortable and reasonably priced. Great location.

The room was huge, and service was above and beyond expected! First they let us see two different rooms and let us pick which one we wanted. They knocked off $15 for each night just because, and lent us a DVD player (and even hacked it to make it play DVDs from other regions). The cabinet kitchenette stuff included everything we needed, including salt and pepper. And when we checked out a half hour late (sorry about that, we really didn't want to leave! ), they didn't charge us for it :).

Very helpful management and staff, really looked after us on 5 day stay. Had spa bath unit, lots of space, very quite nice and clean. Enjoyed the resident tui bird.
