I've been all over the world and have never had the service provided here. Monika, Thomas, Marcel, and Bobby do an exceptional job of making this place a home away from home. I don't even want to leave. It's the only place I'll stay in Amsterdam from now on.

Great hotel, good and spacious room, really really nice. Room service is good and pretty quick, great bar and restaurant downstairs. I enjoyed my stay there and I will be coming back to this same hotel if I ever come back to Amsterdam. That's pretty much the best room I had I fell asleep in seconds. Recommended!

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location and hotel was very good. First day at the breakfast we were treated beyond rude by the wait staff, the food was marginal at best and even had a hair in my brownie. I complained at the front desk and they just sent a bottle of champagne to the room (we don't drink) and an apology letter but even though we never returned to the restaurant, so as not to be treated rudely, and not a big fan of eating food with hair follicles in it. They charged us for the breakfast for all the days. Not right, I feel cheated! Would not return!

Very nice hotel in a calm neighborhood just south of Amsterdam. Stylish and spacious rooms with attention to detail and a design focus. While they're in a 70s style, everything is modern, clean and works well. Breakfast was included, good variety and good service. Can also highly recommend the attached restaurant for dinner. Not particularly cheap, but great service, great choice of beers, and delicious food.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at ever! We stayed for 1.5 weeks so we got to know the place pretty well. The location was away from the action of downtown, so it was super quiet and peaceful. Plus it's a quick Uber or bus to the city center so it wasn't a big deal. I'd rather stay here than in the middle of the city. The place had a great atmosphere the entire time. The staff was really what made this place amazing. Super friendly, really good English, they quickly started remembering our favorite drinks etc. Beds were hard compared to North American mattresses. The hotel restaurant was top notch, but any other restaurants were a 5-15 minute walk away… but even with those 2 things I'd 100% stay there next time and recommend this place to anyone because of the staff and atmosphere.

Comfortable hotel with modern design (wood, metal, concrete). Quality bedding, friendly staff. Breakfasts are plentiful and gourmet. On the other hand, I advise against the restaurant of the hotel: the quality is there, not the quantity (we are in the gastronomic tasting: it is necessary to choose at least the menu at €65 to eat to his hunger). The environment is quiet, a little eccentric from the centre of Amsterdam, but well served by the buses and 500 m from a metro station (you can buy a public transport ticket at the reception). The bar is nice and the prices affordable.

Very nice hotel, decorated with a lot of taste. The premium rooms overlook the canal with the impression of being on stilts. The staff are considerate. I recommend.

We stayed here for the second time and it was as amazing as last year. Great staff and service, spacious, luxurious room. The breakfast is delicious! It's not in the center of amsterdam, but there is a good metro and tram line nearby. We'll come back to this hotel every time we visit the city.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are nice. Not located right in the city centre but close to the transport (count 15mn to reach the centre by transport). The restaurant on the other hand is a joke: the prices of meals are not worth what is on the plate so abstain. For breakfast, it's really too light: you have to choose 2 things on the map and no more! We came out hungry every time! So OK, the quality is there and the fact that the kitchen is open before us is a plus but frankly, for the price of the night, they could have allowed a more substantial breakfast. Really bad…

Recommended, not central but a few minutes walk from a station so perfectly communicated.

Really nice hotel with great 1970s feel inside. The room was spacious with good amenities. Location was a bit far out for my liking and feels very suburban. Everything was excellent however the breakfast could have been a little more generous.

Had a quick mom's getaway for a few days to Amsterdam. Found the reviews of this hotel impressive. Got a great deal and we grabbed it. We loved this hotel. The food — — especially the hotel breakfast — — was fantastic. I've never seen hotel breakfasts like that before. It literally filled us up for the entire day. Beds were comfortable, shower was great but not as hot as we'd like it (yet you could easily, accidentally scald yourself from the bathroom sink). All staff everywhere were wonderful. Beautiful setting, easy location. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Nice to feel like a real adult instead of just "mom".

This hotel is the best experience we have ever had. It was my partners birthday and everything was perfect! the breakfast is amazing and the restaurant was one of the best meals we have had in Amsterdam. The staff were amazing and went the extra step to make us feel right at home. We were obsessed with the design and attention to detail. There is even a cat that cuddles up to you by the fire in the lobby. I love this hotel!

Brilliant breakfast! Hotel is also very nice that didn't feel too busy (although I was staying in January). Cool building that is located just a little south the the action of the city centre. Stylish decor throughout the hotel and beds are really comfy. Want to visit in the summer to use as a bse to explore south of the city.

Excellent hotel with very good breakfast.

My visit for work was brilliant, the hotel is very cool, design and comfort, the staff very nice and attentive, and the food of the restaurant very good. Highly recommended for work. The only thing I missed was a gym, but everything could not be perfect!

The kitchen just deserves a star see 2. The kitchen is approaching perfection. Price is downright affordable in view of the quality. The hotel is nice, young and vibrant. Fits the image of Amsterdam.

Hands down the best hotel that we have EVER visited. So classy, yet vintage with a modern touch. The staff were so welcoming, so hospitable and so kind. We will be back next month. Thank you so much to all the staff at Hotel V, you made our experience the best.

Structure close enough to the bus and Metro stops, with an excellent restaurant that also prepares the breakfasts. Essential and minimalist, well furnished and comfortable.

Beautiful place, we booked for 8 nights, I recommend to all breakfast that is served but not buffet.

An amazing hotel. Staff is so welcoming and friendly. Brilliant team of Chefs that cook such a creative and delicious food. Rooms are brilliant with most comfortable beds. Location is perfect and well connected by public transport! A home away from home!

The best hotel I have ever visited. It was very nice decorated. Large wonderful clean rooms with perfect view. Next to metro and tram station. 10 minutes from the center of Amsterdam. Very nice lobby and restaurant. Cosy and friendly. Perfect food and breakfast. Wonderful friendly people with a big smile to every request. I just adore this hotel.

The best hotel and restaurant in Amsterdam (by far). Stayed there for a week and loved it. The Lobby restaurant is one of the best I have ever been in. The food is exquisite and I would go so far as to visit Amsterdam just to eat here again. Perfect service, food, wine and overall experience.

Loved the hotel. Food was superb and we looked forward to breakfast every morning. Our first evening there, we ate in the dining room and were so thrilled after eating a lot of peas, potatoes, and Haddock in Scotland for two weeks. The whole place feels organic with a dash of city "cool vibe" added in.

The breakfast was very good and the staff super nice. Very good experience at 2 steps from the metro and the Amstel tram. 5 minutes walk and a small 10 minutes by Metro to reach the Central Station (city center).

Very pleasant stay, the room was comfortable and well soundproofed.
The staff are very professional, attentive and patient with the clients who are not fluent in English.
The restaurant little seems a bit expensive but it is justified, the quality is well at the rendezvous.

Fabulous hotel. Very easy access to tram so no need to worry about getting into town. Rooms are comfortable and sized very well! Restaurant serves very tasty food! We highly recommend this hotel!

Nice and comfortable Hotel, quiet and with a fine breakfast.
You can reach any point in the city because it has near the Amstel station and various buses. It has its own bike rental, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Price in line with the quality.

10 out of 10. This hotel is not only beautifully designed to an impeccable standard it has soul. The food is delicious — especially the breakfast. We felt really comfortable and it was so easy to get to and from everything with the station nearby. We found it hard to leave the sofas in the Bar! The team were very friendly and efficient in all areas. They even made me a hot whiskey when I had a cold. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was hard to leave. If you want to stay in an all round well considered hotel then don't even hesitate to stay here.

Young people from the front desk very nice, helpful and kind. The girls at the restaurant really nice and polite. It is very relaxing and easy to stay in such a beautiful place with personnel moreeee… Thanks a lot.

Nice atmosphere. Mix of vintage furniture with modern elements and industrial space. Very satisfactory service and quiet location.

Really it was 4 1/2 stars not for me but for others. I had a 5 star experience. I loved the decor, particularly the bathrooms. The staff were super nice and helpful. They fixed our shower drain within ten minutes of phoning down. The parking was simple and not too painfully expensive. The breakfast was unbelievably good. The menu extensive and generous. The commute to the centre of town was really fun by bicycle and easy, if longer, by train and tram. But it is not for someone who wants to fall out of a club and be at the hotel doorstep within minutes. It is not for someone who doesn't appreciate 70's muted colours.

Fantastic. A bit out of the way but an easy walk to Amstel Station and easy connections from there. Well worth the effort to make this your home base in Amsterdam. The breakfasts are supurb and the Lobby restaurant serves as fine a dinner as you'll likely find in the City!

Chosen on a value for money basis — the hotel was ok, service generally helpful and friendly — but is a distance out of town. Rooms were comfortable if a little spartan but that is the house style. Some issues with restaurant service for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast options ok for a couple of days but suggest that a buffet for cold food and hot food table service would work better.

A great hotel. Close to public transport but I opted to walk everywhere (Amsterdam is very flat) Lots of local walks, runs and cycle paths. Surrounded by parks. Great staff, vibrant atmosphere, awesome food. Love the decor, beds are awesome. Shower was excellent. Not a single issue in the 4 days I stayed. Got an upgrade for just 20 Euro a night. Was worth it. I'll definitely stay at the hotel, or there others again.

Excellent and really comfortable hotel in very quiet area. Connections with public transport are superb — don't take the bus to Amstel station, just walk. Breakfast is fantastic (banana AND bacon?!?! ), and the restaurant for dinner was excellent. Great service.

A wonderful stay at this hotel, where we were outclassed. The staff at the small care, a warm atmosphere, the restaurant at the top up at breakfast or we are delighted. Any small downside (if it is necessary to find a) the hotel and away from the centre to the feet but only less than 10 minutes to the metro, train and tram line and bus. This can be an advantage because the rooms are set out on the gardens and therefore of peace of mind for your alarm clocks gently.

Probably one of the best restaurant I've been, in terms of quantity and of flavor it's just perfect. Nothing to complain about the price are really decent for the quality you get here. The ambiance is super chill and really nice for a diner or just a drink.

Very cool hotel! Decor is extremely cool and the place has a great vibe. It is located a bit outside the center, but if location isn't an issue, I'll highly recommended this hotel.

This is a great hotel to stay in Amsterdam. It's a bit far from the center of the city (far from the noise and tourists). I really enjoyed my time here. I felt like in my private cabin outside the city but close enough to all that Amsterdam has to offer. Great room service, amazing breakfast and bar. I will definitely return to this hotel again! Love the decor. Keep in mind that is a bit far 35-40min in public transport to the Amsterdam Centraal. Still my favorite hotel in Amsterdam.

This is great Hotel, very nice neighborhood. This place is 10 min. Commute to city center, which is I highly recommend for peace and relax. Nice and friendly stuff and I really liked breakfast concept. Definitely stay again.

This hotel is great. Especially the staff. Perhaps it is because it is still quite new, but the fact is: here you can feel the lifeblood. Everyone seems to have fun at his job. At the reception you are greeted like an old friend whom you haven't seen in a long time. At the bar involved in a friendly, informal conversation. The restaurant is the hammer. With such a breakfast you have to start the day well. And if you dine here, you don't want to go to another restaurant…
I am completely satisfied, an absolute, unrestricted recommendation. The location: just outside, but one is walking in 5 on the Metro which runs every 3 minutes and in another 10 you are in the city center.
