Absolutely would NOT recommend! The worst hotel in Amsterdam! Stay away! adamant about refunds or alternative options during the coronavirus outbreak. Absolutely awful customer service rude! This is beyond believe! WOULD NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN! Stay away!

They wont refund my hotel due to the coronavirus or even let me change to a later date. I wont ever stay here again they are nothing but money grabbing people. Absolutely disgusting how they can steal money from customers when this is a world wide virus and out of my control.

Couldn’t travel due to flight being cancelled because of the coronavirus they refused to give me a refund / partial refund or to let me change dates! Something that is totally out of my control and now I’m down £200! Would never ever book here again! Pure greed.

This is one of the most bad experiences I ever had in my life dealing with a hotel, customer service is not supportive at all, they only seek for how they take your money, not giving you a good experience. I booked a non-refundable double room, and my friend had an accident one week before we travel and got her feet broken. I sent them the medical reports and I didn’t even request for getting the money back, I only requested to postpone my booking to a later dates however they also refused. They refused to postpone the booking and they chose to take the money which they don’t deserve. This really shows how much those people cares about money only and not their customers.

Worst customer service: I booked 3 night for new year, but I had an accident and I broke my foot. The hotel didn’t refund the money, or at least help me changing the dates. The reservation department was so rude. Eve though, I sent my medical report, they didn’t care.

It’s away from the hustle and bustle but only 20 mins by tram very nice place people are awesome shops close by, food is delicious rooms spacious worth it’s weight in gold.

Very noisy rooms, non working tv, non working Wi-Fi, non working airconditioning, rude concierge, very rude and unhelpful customer service.

Dirty sheets, stained carpets, bugs in the bathroom, bad customer service, bad communication. Had a booking with a group for four nights, we all left after two nights. Hotel yet to resolve issues. Not impressed at all. You give people a bad impression of Amsterdam.

Very bad experience. Dirty sheets in one of our rooms, a cockroach in one of our bathrooms. Unresponsive guest relations dept and general manager. We had to find alternate accommodation. No refund 3 + weeks later.

Don't rent a bike through this hotel. 2 months after the rental of the bike, still no refund of the deposit.

Missed my connection and ended up here. Not far from airport and staff very friendly. Bar has good drinks and food.

Very Clear hotel. It's the second time we stay there. Easy connection from airport and with tram very easy for Central.

Very nice rooms. To be an economic hotel has a premium service. Only issue is the price of water as you're only able to purchase 0.5L bottles from the vending machine.

The room is clean and the staff really nice. The doors make an incredibly loud sound when they have to be closed, so don't panic if you hear a loud bang in the hallway. Also the bed might be too soft for some. Most people complain about the location being far, but it is actually good. You can rent a bike for 15 euros a day, take the bus for 3 euros or even walk to the city center, which is really healthy and you ll get to see Amsterdam changing from its suburban area to the city center. There are a few things to improve on, but it's way cheaper than paying 200+ Euros a night just to be closer to the city center. I didn't try the food, since I found an ALDI supermarket around the corner, around 300m away.

Transit from Rome On the way back from Rome took a break at Amsterdam. Reached Amsterdam late in night and took a bus from airport route no 69 and reached the hotel. Very simple checkin procedure, since I had already payed for the room on a hotel booking website. I needed some information to visit tulip garden next morning, the receptionist politely said he doesn’t know anything and asked me check in the morning at the reception. I was very tired, wanted to sleep badly and the disturbance started around 2 am someone trying to open my room with another key, next morning when I brought this to to the front desk person notice, he coolly replayed that it might be someone try to open it by mistake. I stayed for three nights, there is to be some disturbance like people talking loudly and chatting in the coriander and not good experience. I also had payed for my breakfast and they charged 10€ per day, not really worth the money. There are plenty of good restaurants and takeaways joints around the property where you good food at cheaper price and tastier. For the vegetarian there is a restaurant by name Shiva and you get all the vegetarian stuff here close to the property.

Great place to stay. Clean an modern rooms. From outside it looks a touch dated but from entrance onward all very nice and modern. Theres 24hr reception as I arrived very late… gentleman on desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was very modern an beds were Amsterdam style soft… like sleeping in a cloud… perfect stop off place considering the price was lower then a hostel in central… very impressed. 15min drive from central which would cost a Bit in a taxi so only advise staying that far out if your comfortable with commuting on a few trams (only until 1am I think tho) or have own transport like I did. All in all very good place. Would stay again for sure.

For the price this was excellent. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Daily sheet changing. Handy bike rental service. It's an hour walk from the centre and half an hour on bike but the tram is nearby.

Except of the poor Wi-Fi connections. The hotel is accessible to the trams/buses to take you from the city. Buffet breakfast is great & room is big enough for 3 people though the hallway smells quite bad odour. Overall it was a nice & quiet hotel place to stay at.

Did the job, basic rooms but clean although did find a silver fish in my bed. Can be noisy on ground floor but your TV or the fan that is located in the cupboard can help. Radiator worked well, but didn't need to use it. Own toliet and shower and 2 single beds we put together. No major issues, but if wanting a silent stay maybe ask to not stay on ground floor or low to ground.

Ok, the good side. Staff are really helpful, and from my experience, was clean. I always use a hotel as a base, so I do not spend hours there, unless I'm sleeping. The downside, location. It's a 20/30 minute bus ride from the airport, then a 10 min walk from there to the hotel. If you want to go into the main part of Amsterdam, it's a 10 min walk to the tram, then a 30 min tram ride. I think it's more designed for business people, maybe? It does have a large car park. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but there are vending machines.

Very quiet. Good level and beautiful area surrounded by greenery.

Very good value for money, the rooms are very spacious, we had two double beds for the price of one, which gave us the impression of having a suite. Good quality Wifi (this is not the case everywhere so it deserves to be said), large bathroom with large bathtub.
The hotel offers a restaurant, a terrace, a solarium, a fitness room, bike rentals and a luggage locker, which is very useful when you have a flight to take several hours after its check-out!
5 minutes walk to tram line 7 then less than 30 to reach Westmarkt, Dam or Centraal station.

Horrible experience. The room smelled dank and wet, mixed with smoke from the hallways I should have known I wouldn't have the best experience. I only stayed here because I was stuck in Amsterdam for an extra day not accounted for. It was never my intention to use the New West End. For all those traveling be advised some of the rooms have mold, and they do not have adequate heat. We visited at in mid April so it was still chilly in Amsterdam. The staff at reception is rather rude. I asked them for a refund, they tried to stiff me so I called Amex and cancelled the charge. That's how bad it was… BEWARE.

Clean and comfortable Hotel, equipped with gym and convenient to the tram stop to get to the center. The flaw? No one speaks Italian.

I recommend this hotel, good cleanliness, good treatment and quiet area with very nice channels. Good combination with transportation to the city center. It would only improve a small renovation that you would need, but it has very good cleanliness and very spacious rooms.

Hotel with no charm. The rooms are spacious and well equipped but some details betray age, are dated or worn out.
Soundproofing to review. I slept poorly, hearing as well the external noises (yet the street is quiet) than the internal noises (ventilation, water flows, …).

Otherwise the staff is friendly, easy parking in front of the hotel. Question rates: High but correct for a city like Amsterdam.

Quality-Price is not bad, but it is a little out of the center, the tram or bus is not very far, but if it were more centrally better.

The hotel is near bus stops and staff is very helpful in recommending traveling options. Good breakfast with fresh fruit and a big selection of pastries. Hotel offers discounted trips and we booked our Keukenhof tour with the hotel. The hotel comes with a restaurant/bar where you can eat and play snooker. The first floor also comes with a little gym that has a rowing machine, a few bikes and free gym towels. If you are in desperate need of a tram, there is also a sunbed in the solarium and you can pay for a season at the front desk. Showers. Our room had a "Korean style shower". The shower doesn't have a door and you the water gets everywhere, from the toilet to the sink. I'm not sure if all the rooms come with the Korean style shower, but they might be a detractor for some. I personally didn't like going into the bathroom after my wife showered and the whole place was soaking wet. Apart from the odd showers, great budget place to stay with friendly and very helpful staff, gym and decent breakfast.

The façade is deceptive: inside the hotel is well equipped. Minor problems, but in this price range are perfectly OK: the door hooked and had to be pulled manually, by itself it did not lock. The planes are audible. Everything else is good.

It's really run down, the windows are leaking and haven't been cleaned for years. Breakfast for €10 per day, per person can be saved. Has tasted some cardboard.
People, beware of your cars. On the first night, the spectacle has already happened. It was broken into a guest's car. Then no one really did anything about it or helped. The district is a social focal point.
Look at the pictures. We left again after the first night because we were really afraid of our car. They'll break even if they see just a butt in there. Camera is not monitored the parking lot either.

It is far from downtown but very well connected, nearby has lots of park and ducks, rabbits, beautiful to rest, many supermarkets nearby.

Very clean place, comfortable and warm bed, great service at the reception and Italian coffee in the distributors. Only flaw the room service left a little to be desired: the first day tidy beds and clean towels, from the day after until the end of the stay they only changed the towels but they forgot to remake the bed. Three stars just for general cleaning in practice.

Good hotel, from the inside much nicer than from outside. To the center 25 minutes, free parking right in front of the entrance.

The hotel is quite dated and needs a refreshing shot but everything is clean and correct. Stay of 2 nights in a room of 4 people, very quiet, view on the garden side. Nice to be able to share the room with friends. Great space and clean, well appointed, bathroom very correct, well heated, especially that we stayed during a period of bad weather in winter.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately it is far enough away from the center but remains a good value for money if there are more availabilities nearer.

Fabulous budget hotel in the Amsterdam area. Rooms spacious and clean and the staff utterly professional and friendly. You simply couldn't get a better budget hotel in Amsterdam. It is quite far out from the centre of Amsterdam, but it is nice to experience life in a suburb of the city. Overall, I liked it, and I would happily recommend this first class hotel.

For someone who personally lived in Amsterdam for over three years of my life I was horribly disgusted with this hotel the staff members were absolutely unhelpful they didn't even worn any of the gest that there was a major power failure there was no way of getting into Amsterdam. For a hotel that carries a three star rating you have to pay €5 for a kettle €10 for a continental breakfast the rooms were absolutely freezing there was no heating there was nowhere to sit and smoke you had the stand outside the building in the freezing f****** cold they do not have any bicycles for free you have to pay even double the amount than you would normally for a bike and for the simple fact I had Major surgery to my spine and I had to walk 4 and a half kilometres to get into Amsterdam square as the staff could not even tell people that there was a power failure so no trams! I would highly recommend no one ever stay in this hotel! And please take note that they do not reply back to anyone who gives them bad reviews. Thay did not even try and apologise this is unacceptable for anywhere in the Netherlands!

The place has inexpensive, clean rooms with its own shower. Good service. But the location is so-so — very far from the center. They rent bikes. At the same time do not regret to pay two euros for insurance — with the great can happen anything) ) )

Just checked in last night and so far we are loving it. Apart from one staff member with attitude the rest have been very polite anf helpful… but other than that we are enjoying are stay. Rooms very nice an clean, breakfast was lovely. Peaceful sleep but its just bit far out from centre. Overful satisfied.

This is a great cheap hotel. My room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help me. They were genuinely friendly but still very professional. Breakfast was also good except one thing: the scrambled eggs tasted horrible. I felt like I was chewing rubber. But despite this one tiny problem I really enjoyed my stay so the place easily deserves five stars.

Good value for the money, even if it’s a little bit far from town center. Rooms are clean. The staff was very nice. The advantage was that they have rooms for 4 people, so we have a really nice time with our friends. I would recommend it.

Best Hotel in the Old West Inn.

We were from 26.12.2017 to 28.12.2017 in a room of three in this hotel. On arrival the woman at the reception could not get German. That was also perfectly OK for us. When my fiancee asked me if we would also like to take breakfast with it, the woman at the reception answered directly in English when there was breakfast. We found something funny but good. The rooms are OK. Breakfast however we can not recommend. The selection is small and the bread tastes like the previous day and decays into all items when cut. The hotel looks like a slab on the outside and exactly in such an area it is also. As a woman, I wouldn't go out in this area alone in the evening. The train connection to the city is about 10 to 15 minutes away from the hotel and the journey takes about 20 mins. For a cheap trip to Amsterdam it is enough.

Clean, not expensive hostel, only from the windows very pulled draft, had to turn on the air conditioning on the heating. In general, for this money — not bad.

Breakfast costs €10 per day, a little too much for what they have at the buffet, so we never took advantage of this service. At the bar you can order everything and you can also play billiards. The hotel was very nice, the room was very good, the only problem the bathroom has as a stop in case the water was out of the Duxa and not how many times we stumbled upon it. It was my partner's birthday while we were there, we don't know how they found out but they left a postcard with two bags of sweet and salty popcorn. Thank you very much for everything, we have been at home ❤ ️

Good hotel for price-quality. Not without flaws of course. The traffic interchange is convenient.

A very nice and quiet hotel. Very comfortable and everything looks clean. As a negative point, to say that the Wi-Fi goes quite slow and that the snacks of vending machines are very expensive. It has a pub with a very nice waiter. Highly recommended and well connected to the center.

It seems a pretty good place for what it is worth, is clean and rests well, is far from the heart but 8 min is the stop of the Tran17 that takes you to the center, located in a pretty quiet Turkish neighborhood, try candy. One suggestion is to change the shower curtain, and improve Wi-Fi, everything else perfect.

It is a basic hotel, relatively close to the main Central Amterdam station (30 min by tram). There are nearby supermarkets and an Outlet at 10 min walking distance.

Fortunately we were given an extra radiator.

Spacious room, all amenities available in the hotel, with or without fee. Front desk is helpful. Location has pros and cons. Its in residential area so its safe, a couple of shops nearby. A stream flows nearby and I spotted few birds as well. Cons is that its not near anything — airport or city center. But there is good connectivity, a bus stop nearby can take you to metro and then you can go wherever you wish to. Front desk can call a cab if requested. Breakfast is ok, not bad. Dinner options are there, though limited.

Location is relatively good. Rooms are fine. Service was not needed so I don't know about it.

Good clean hotel, there is a hairdryer, TV with 5 Russian channels 83-89, there are gels and soap for the shower (disposable, all too plus packed, it is clear that they were not used) there is a bar and vending machines with chocolate, minus no Russian-speaking staff, but English or German is well understood. Far from museums and ladies' square, although this is not a problem Google helps with travel.

All right, the worst thing is that it's away from the center.

Quiet Hotel in the outskirts of Amsterdam, convenient with the means in a moment you get to downtown. It is close to a spectacular park, pity that the breakfast is apart from €10 but not worth it.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Quite far from the city center but there is tram, line 17, that goes to Amsterdam Central Station and stops at Dam Square. Tram daily pass is sold at the reception desk. Rooms are fairly clean but without tea/coffee making facility.

Good hotel to go to the Love Land.

A few meters from bus and tram to the center and airport (both Raggiumgono in 25 minutes), very quiet and green area (in the adjacent park there are a lot of ducks, geese, seagulls and hares), in the surroundings is full of supermarket, bars, restaurants.! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.! Great value for money, wonderful for those who want to stay away (despite the proximity) from the hectic center!

The hotel is good, the reception too. It is however unfortunate to hear his neighbors shower late at night, as well as the slamming doors.

Affordable and comfortable hotel. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, quite far away from the city! Almost 40 minutes with tramlines 1 or 17. I would only recommend it if you wanted a budget hotel or did not care to be in the centre.

This was hard to review. As far as the hotel goes, I would give it a five stars. Great price and great rooms. The only problem I have is that it is SO FAR AWAY FROM EVERYTHING. There are restaurants nearby but there is no way to wash clothes close to the hotel. It is several miles from the city center as well. Location sucks.

Clean, nice rooms with air conditioning with good sized TV. Decor of the hotel is a bit outdated. Has a nice garden and bar that closes at 11. Quite a walk to the nearest tram that I could find for city connections, with the nearest tram taking over 30min to get to Dam Square. Food is about what you'd expect from a three star; not bad and decent value for money. There are a few restaurants within walking distance if you're looking for something else. One thing that really bothered me about the hotel is the lighting is quite dim, not sure why it's so underlit, particularly in the restaurant. Otherwise we have had a good stay.

Hotel convenient with its attached and free parking. Direct tram access via line 17 a few hundred meters walk to reach the centre of Amsterdam in about twenty minutes.

Room was clean and nice. Desk service was very helpful. Price was reasonable. Hotel is located few kilometers from the city center, but there is a bus stop nearby and tram a bit further south. Neighborhood was rather calm. Shops and restaurants are located few minutes away from the hotel. There are bikes for rent in the hotel and a bar with food, drinks and pool table.

We have spent in the New West Inn for 4 nights, nice staff, clean rooms, very quiet, the only minus point is that you can't open the window (or we were too stupid) to reach the tram station and supermarket in 10 minutes, you are driving more than half an hour to the city centre. Can recommend it to others.

It's quite easy to find even though the building doesn't stand out as a hotel. Affordable but doesn't feel cheap. Everything is clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. There is a bus and tram stop a few minutes walk from the hotel that takes you to the centre of Amsterdam. You can buy tickets from the reception. You can also hire a bike from them. The hotel is air conditioned. It's not a star hotel but nevertheless it's very nice. I would definitely recommend!

The Place of Hotel is nice. It was easy to reach to the Center of the City with Train. There are also Bus Connections. The Hotel was clean but not perfect. The Breakfast is also good. For the Price is the Hotel really nice. There are enough Parking Place around the Hotel.

Cozy great location close to tram x Amsterdam. Clean and comfortable rooms with safe. Friendly staff But a little problem does not speak Italian.

The room was OK but the window, birds will enjoy the all-night noise. For a weekend in Amsterdam, it was ok.

Located between the city and the airport, the hotel is open 24 hours a day with lift; Restaurant; Indoor and outdoor living room; Free Wi-Fi… very good stay overall but on the other hand I asked for a wake up call and when I warned the reception, she told me to call but I had no call… of the least she didnt insisted on the wakeup call… alarm clock in the rush… but overall it was correct… and it keeps the luggage as ^-^ with a shuttle from the company connection to the shuttle airport — > Hotel — > Airport a €27 A/R.

Is a bit far to the city centre but GVB bus and tram spot is Near hotel.

The hotel rooms are clean. Unfortunately, the Windows are not equipped against noise, therefore, all the outside sounds are good to hear as if the Windows are open. Breakfast costs 10 Euro extra. Wi-Fi is free of charge. Tram is about 10 min. From the Hotel.

The purchasing page for the hotel is bugged, I had to pay for a room twice because of the booking system, it booked me a room on the day I payed for the rooms rather than the actual date I was wanting so by the time I had arrived to the hotel first day was fine room a bit dated and dirty and one of the beds was missing a leg but it would do, I checked out and went to stay at the event I was over for, came back a few days later to find that there was no booking for me to check in for my last day and that the paperwork was wrong and that the room was booked for the 16th of october (a date thats no where near what I would have even selected as I didn't need a hotel from the 16th to the 17th) so even if I had mistakenly put the wrong month in the dates still didn't add up. So I then had to pay for another room or be stranded on the streets instead of them just moving my booking. Took my money then left me. Will not be back!

Positive: very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, nicely furnished, only few minutes walk to the nearest bus stop
Negative: Apparently the other guests think you would be here alone. In a matter of seconds it POPs or rumbling, sometimes extremely loud. You can see in front of pigeon droppings is hardly through the Windows, the pigeons are also often directly in front of the window. The window open only with a blocked nose possible — Kotgestank is very strong. When you get it but then time to immediately visit a minimum of a dove. All in all, a nice, functional Hotel, that of pigeons is governed, would not be the volume here is so high it could have been 4 stars, but those looking for a quiet Hotel in the Evening, turn off wrong here.

Very clean and confortable, the room was all we were searching for our experience at Hooked Gathering.

The neighborhood is incredible, a reprieve from the city and a great place to relax and take in nature. The hotel itself is just fine, a regular ole accommodation. But their bike rental service is a joke! I paid good money to rent one for a day and it literally fell apart. The handle bar fell off completely and left me to stroll it along, all the way back from the city. (Bikes are not allowed on the tram). They said they would give me an extra day of rental, which was totally unsatisfactory because I wasn't staying long and didn't want their shoddy bikes anymore. But they didn't give me anything of the sort, and nor did they give me a refund. Very disappointing.

Very clean and comfortable hotel make me sleep up to 7 to 9 hours every night. I am a picky person for hotel bed. Lol. Its quiet location makes me feel like home on my Simmon's bed:) The only disadvantage they don't have currency exchange service. Make sure you change your Euro in the airport or central station when you arrive.

Terrible hotel was tricked by clever photography into booking here. Badly furnished rooms, poor layout basics no toilet brush, no remote for the remote, no curtains. The outside relaxation area looked like something from the Gaza strip and a friend of mine stood in some form of excrement in the hotel. The one redeeming factor was the staff were friendly and helpful. Avoid at all costs.

Bathroom stinks. Oh my god. But the door to and through. The rest is just accustomed and corresponds to the price. For two nights ok.

Urgently, Very urgent. I was surprised today with my account negative and penniless pair my expenses. Only stayed overnight one night at your hotel for 64, 17€ and not 4 nights as are debit on my card! I appreciate the prompt return of the amount of 3x47 25 € = € 141.76 to the account! The Invoice itself was poorly issued. Because my name is Luis Manuel Dionisio Santos as my BI and not Manuel Brás dos Santos, my Father's name. Number invoice is : 112045337 FOLIO H02-F13790. In attach 3 times debit in my account.

Great hotel! Good connection to the airport, Central Station and the center of the city. Staff is very helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable, they also have a great restaurant. Neighborhood is nice and quiet. All in all, great experience :).

Large rooms an a good price and good breakfast.

All ok until the maid knocked on our door at 9.30am on the day we left to rudely say 'come on I need to finish' I was appalled and just closed the door on her and rang reception who where cross about it and appoligised. Ok hotel for the money and staff apart from above helpful and pleasant. They could do with an extractor fan in the bathroom! and some type of loo bloo or cleaner.

First room had stains on the Bedcover, got immediately a new. There the bathroom has stunk, but at least the beds were clean.
