Great location around the corner from the Anne Frank house and many canal tours. The staff were all so friendly. The rooms were a nice size though the was a step up to the bathroom area. A rain shower and a hand held shower head. We didn’t get a chance to use the huge jacuzzi tub Highly recommend The Hotel Toren.

We have a great room with canal view. The old house with the beautiful furnishing is beautiful. It feels like a other time. It s near to the city for shopping and seightseeing. The hotel team is very very friendly and helpful. We definitly come back!

The Toren is a superb Boutique hotel in the centre of Amsterdam, on the famous canal belt (a world heritage site). Very close to the Anne Frank house. Rooms are lush and luxurious with a fabulous jacuzzi bath. There are also two rooms in little houses in the garden which offer a very quiet sleep. Curtains well designed to keep all light out. There is just a little wear and tear, nothing to worry about. The canal house is exactly 400 years old with some paintings by the school of Rembrandt still on the ceiling. Simple food suitable for dinner is available in the gorgeously decorated bar — burger, pizza — and a wealth of restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood. Staff very friendly and helpful. The Toren was created by Eric Toren, now the owner of the even more fabulous Hotel TwentySeven on Dam square.

The location is great, walking distance from the central station. We had a nice romantic cottage that had a jacuzzi and a garden with our own private spot. The staff were very friendly and explained about the history of the house. Eventhough they don't provide dinner the snacks they had were quite filling and enough for us. We loved our stay.

One of the most comfy beds I've ever slept on. Perfect location right in the middle of the Anne Frank house and Amsterdam's city center. This hotel is beautiful, affordable and the staff is more than accommodating. I don't see myself staying anywhere else ever again for my future visits. And it was surprisingly a quiet nights rest.

I WOULD GIVE 10 STARS FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE! It is a hotel perfect for couples, excellent for businessman or even family! I came here with my family and the breakfast was delicious and with a lot of great choices! The staff is extremely helpful, ask ANYTHING and they will help you or solve any issue or give you tips & directions. Enjoy the place, enjoy the view; but most importantly ENJOY AMSTERDAM!

Great location and superb staff. The hotel is right near the Anne Frank house and pretty central to everything in Amsterdam. The rooms are well appointed and include Nespresso. The breakfast was good as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay here. Had the room with the jucuzzi bath and private patio. Definitely worth every penny. Only downside was toilet room was freezing cold lol. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. Will be staying again!

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel located in the best and oldest part of Amsterdam. Rooms are over the top decorated in a way that is completely fitting with the period style of the buildings themselves, and the suites are especially well laid out with amenities such as two-person jacuzzis and aromatherapy cabinets. Breakfast is a nice meal in the small library / dining area, and all the service was top notch. Terrific little restaurants abound within short walking distance, and the entire area is wonderfully picturesque.

Cool hotel in Amsterdam, in whats seemed like canal house. Awesome location walk to almost everything. Stayed in the annex a few doors down from the main building, no difference. Friendly helpful staff.

As a regular traveller, I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Every member of staff is fantastic, their customer service is first class. The hotel is beautiful, perfectly located in the canal district with everything you could want to do in Amsterdam is within 10 minutes walk. The hotel is furnished to an exceptionally high standard, with the suites being extremely high end with steam rooms and jacuzzi baths, comfortable beds and great heating / air conditioning. The whole hotel, including the kitchen is spotlessly clean!
I can not recommend this place highly enough, it’s an absolute gem. Thank you to all the staff, we will definitely be back!

Stayed here for 3 nights this Jan. Beautiful hotel very glamorous and decadent and staff very friendly and helpful. They knew it was my boyfriends birthday so we received complimentary handmade chocolates. We stayed in royal suite really stunning high ceilings, mirrors and chandeliers. Bar area really cosy with fires as it was so cold. Loved it area is great too close to everywhere. Thankyou.

Interesting hotel, in the heart of Amsterdam, but away from the party district. Very dark indoors, and I’d avoid the downstairs rooms — they are very damp, especially the one out the back. Our second room was on the top floor, with a lovely view of the canal. Beds are good, staff were great.

Overall we enjoyed the Toren and might return on a subsequent trip to Amsterdam, a city we love. A couple of things that were not great — both our check-in and check-out were very slow. In both instances the staff couldn't find our paperwork after long searches. On check-in we finally just left the bags at the hotel so the 4 people at the front desk could sort it out. On our return a few hours later, everything was in the room. When we checked out, they never could find our folio, so they left the 50E charge on my card plus another charge for a few incidentals. The deposit has since been removed from the card. Finally, I was surprised that there was a charge for breakfast after paying 400E+ per night. I've stayed in other Amsterdam hotels for far less and had the meal included. Otherwise, the location is very nice, as was the room. The staff were very polite.

We have just spend 3 nights at this fantastic boutique hotel. Our canal facing room was small but with a full 5 star specification. The decor throughout the hotel is sumptuous. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful, they are a credit to the establishment. The location is central but peaceful. We loved it and will be back.

The Toren was a wonderful botique hotel for our stay in Amsterdam. Walking into the hotel, we were immediately greeted. Since we had just gotten off the cruise ship in the morning, they held the luggages and shopping bag while we went out into the city. After returning later at check-in time, we went to the room and they had already moved all the luggages and the shopping bag into the room! As a historical hotel, The Toren is beautiful, with an old world opulence, but not without a modern touch. The staff were excellent — very friendly and went out of the way to make sure our needs were met and satisfied. As with Sebastians (sister hotel), the location is perfect! Right in the city center, everything is a comfortable walk away, with great restaurants nearby. The owners have a list of restaurants around the hotel, with the time needed to walk, the hours of operation, and whether it is casual or formal. The owners also went and ate at each restaurant to ensure they meet their standards. For our next visit to Amsterdam, we will definitely stay at The Toren if available, or their sister hotel. Both are very well run and are a pleasure to stay at.

I went with 2 of my friends and it was hands down the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff makes you feel like VIP. I will definitely make a point to stay here again.

All I can describe my stay as is perfect! The hotel is so beautiful & we stayed in the Royal Suite which exceeded our expectations. On top of that they have the most amazing staff working there. Everyone is so welcoming, helpful & go above & beyond. I plan on returning to Amsterdam & without a doubt will only stay here. The extra effort they put into our stay being special (double birthdays) & the help I was given when airport lost my suitcase (Melanie I can't thank you enough) will never be forgotten.

If you are searching for a romantic getaway, look no further. I was meeting a friend but we both agreed that it would be perfect for a couple of love birds. Let me now sing the praises of the staff. Their professionalism and customer service was the best I have had visiting Amsterdam. My friend and I sat in the lobbying catching up until 3:00 am. The young man on duty was charming and made sure to check on us regularly. Stay here!

Rich, dramatic, theatrical, The Toren, situated in a historic double-fronted mansion on one of Amsterdam’s most prestigious canals, provides the right mix of old world chic and cool contemporary creature comforts. Black velvet, Venetian mirrors, gilded panelling is mixed with flat screen TVs, iPod players and personal jacuzzis.

Best stay at a hotel we have ever had in our life! I have been all over the US, quite a few places in Canada and to England and Germany. (I am Canadian) I have never received the high level of service and hospitality that we received when staying at this hotel. The staff are truly friendly and absolutely amazing. They make you feel warm and welcome as soon as you step on the front stairs. The rooms are wonderfully decorated in old decor that brings an ambiance you will not find at other hotels. Absolutely amazing hotel. We will stay with the Toren family of hotels again.
