So clean, great breakfast, comfortable room and unbelievable location. Right off Dam Square. Walking distance to Central Station, trans, canal boats, restaurants, red light district and reasonable. Will stay here again.

Nice staff, great location one step away from Dam Square. The Breakfast is decent.
Of the Cons: No room conditioning! When we were in, the day was humid and stuffy. And the air in the room was the same-wet, warm, sticky. The window Open all night did not really save the situation.
All In all very basic, OK for city break.

Very nice and friendly staff. But the rooms on the street side are very noisy especially at night on weekends. It's a pity.

Fantastic well run Hotel in the center of Amsterdam adjacent to Dam Square. The hotel has underground parking which is essential if you have a car. It cost about 30 euro per day but it is well worth it. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable and there is coffee and tea available in the lobby all day. The breakfast is buffet style and substantial with a good choice of either hot or cold food. The staff are very helpful and willing to help. I have no hesitation in recommending the RHO hotel in Amsterdam.

Great location But disappointing room, small and with a view on a wall. The window does not open! A little surprising for a three star. The positive side is that this room was quiet. The bedding is correct. The staff are nice and helpful. The rich breakfast with several kinds of breads and orange juices pressed natural.

The hotel is a little old and dated but the staff are polite and accomodating, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable, and the buffet breakfast is filling enough to get you going in the morning. The hotel is well located in the city centre a short walk from shops, cafes, restaraunts, pubs, the Red Light district and half a dozen museums and other attractions. Amsterdam central station is also a short 10min walk away.

Nice freindly hotel and staff bend over backwards to help. The backbone of any hotel are the chamber maids and cleaning staff. Very good at their job and cannot thank them enough. Everything as I would want and right next to dam square so good location.

I've stayed at this hotel on more than five visits. It is clean, well managed and always has friendly staff. The breakfast is quite good as well. The price to location cannot be beat.

We spent 4 days and 3 nights, quality services clean room, rich breakfast unlimited nothing to say.

Too expensive for the type of hotel it is. The sheets were dirty from day one and we were not changed in 4 days. We asked several times for food to take away from restaurants and sometimes the hotel staff let them upload it to the room and other times not. Depending on who you had to wear to get off. To check out there was no one and we went dejabdo the Rmcims card from the front desk. It is my second time in Amsterdam and this hotel will not come back.

Horror! Rooms miserable and not even too clean. Sofa bed in place of the single bed. Cramped and dimly lit place. Breakfast without even a espresso and cappuccino machine. One night 182 euros. Turn off!

The location of the hotel is excellent, quiet street. Room for two is quite spacious, in the bathroom shower just a little bit of noise, soundproofing is weak everywhere. Breakfast is not pleasant, fried bacon, pancakes, 1 kind of sausage, 1 kind of ham and cheese, smoked salmon, muesli, omelet, coffee "barrel". Sandwiches to pretend not interesting, and not sausages or sausages was not.

There are many possibilities nearby where you can eat and shop. The hotel itself is located in the city center and so you can reach everything on foot.

This hotel is in the perfect location, you can't get anymore central. The rooms are abit out of date but that's not a big issue. They are adequate enough. The breakfast is spot on on the morning. They do have car parking which was perfect for me as we had driven over. I think it was €25, after we checked out we left our car there until the evening. The whole of Amsterdam is on your doorstep. Great hotel, amazing location.

Basic no frills hotel in a nice central location on the corner of Dam Square. Breakfast is ok. Wifi works well and is free.

The hotel has an excellent location, close to all the tourist places, the staff very friendly and even spoke Spanish, the breakfast buffet very complete, the room comfortable and shiny, I highlight the bathtub especially when we came back from some walk, relax with The foam and hot water was priceless. Our stay was very pleasant, I would definitely go back.

The hotel is located in the city centre and close to the main train station. This is a great advantage, as the city centre of Amsterdam is not suitable for a visit by car.

Good and affordable contemporary hotel that is centrally located close to the Centraal station and many bus and tram stops. Many good restaurants close by. Many shopping places around the hotel. And very lively nightlife around the hotel. Very friendly staff and clean rooms.

Good location The Art Deco style can please and the breakfast is good. On the other hand, the staff is not very pleasant and the quality of the rooms is poor: empty mini bar, old TV with mediocre image quality, no air conditioning, number to reach the reception not indicated, …

The hotel is located in the immediate centre of the city. It offers a manageable breakfast buffet for a three-star hotel. The rooms have a telephone and TV with satellite connection next to the bed.

The place was ok. We wanted to be in the middle of the city, and this place is. Next time we will stay a little further away from the city center, And get a little higher quality, abd better parking.

It has heaps of potential and history but needs some love. Room was clean and reasonable size. It does have smaller rooms so bit of lottery. Has secure parking. Also great for bikers who want bikes of road during thier stay.

This in the centre of Amsterdam. Next to the red light district and the royal palace. The rooms are comfortable and very cool.

Ideal location for a visit to the city. Apart from that, not much. Hotel is old, poorly ventilated room, bathroom wet. Daily housekeeping leaves a little to be desired. And it is necessary to ask each day for the replenishment of shower gel and other products that are theoretically provided. It is a 3-star hotel, the price goes hand in hand with this ranking but it is far from the standard. The breakfast is good. Conclusion : bad price / quality ratio.

The hotel is in a great location, at the Dam Square, one of the main city. Its location allows you to enjoy the best holiday, because being in a very central area, is a comfortable support for the pause of the day. The entrance is very elegant, is to think more like a 4-star hotel, and united with the cordiality and professionalism of the reception creates a very positive impact. The room we found it clean, with excellent temperature and equipped enough (hair dryer, soaps, sachets such as hand, body, shampoo). Do not miss the blankets, too heavy for the season. There is a covered additional in the closet. We have not yet tried the breakfast, available from 7:00 to 10:30, which is served buffet style and included in the price. For now, the evaluation is very positive.

Location is perfect as are the staff. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. Room was clean and well appointed but slightly dated and very small.

Hotel very well situated. In full Dam square. The comfortable rooms. Includes a breakfast very rich and complete. The friendly staff. You can also take a tea or a hot chocolate for free that is much appreciated when you arrive in the evenings after all the day outside. Without a doubt, I would return to this hotel.

We were 5 days here. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable. The Windows were to the rear, thus quiet. To recommend Breakfast and was served, on request, for the child each Morning, and hot chocolate. If now air-conditioned, then it would be perfect.

Already several times for short city breaks. The rooms are nice and clean, the Breakfast is adequate and the Service is very friendly.

Negative Point:
No room is soundproof, the light from the outside hallway never goes out, the door that lets the light through… it's quite unpleasant! On all the staff, there is only one who speaks French and it is really a pity. Because we saw a lot of French group staying in the hotel!

Great Hotel in the middle of Amsterdam. A better Hotel in this location, there is not. Clean and nicely decorated. The Breakfast was fine. Only points of criticism is the fluctuating temperature in the hot water and the loud heater in the room. Clear Recommendation!

A Hotel very well located near the DAM, clean and very spacious, the breakfast is good and despite the fact that there are many people is so extensive that it does not seem to. I liked it a lot would definitely go.

The hotel has a decent sized bathroom and the room is not small although it does feel cramped with all of the furniture inside. From another review I checked my bed when I first arrived in the room and found the sheets were not clean and had hairs on them. The staff quickly arrived at my room to inspected them and moved me to another room which was clean. The Wi-Fi is also very spotty and frequently drops connection speeds to a few KB/s or disconnects entirely for a few minutes. Further recommendations: ask for a room as high up as possible as the alleys nearby are very noisey until midnight with people leaving the carnival and bars in the city center.

We've been stayed here for 4 days… and I'm very satisfied… no problems at all. Near to all museums. Staffs are very kind. And most of all spacious room. I'll going to take this hotel again with pleasure…

Unsafe! We stayed at the Rho hotel for 3 nights from July 12th 2015. On the 2nd night (the 13th) we went out to dinner at 7:30pm with a Dutch friend. At 10pm we dropped our 16 year old daughter in the lobby (she wanted to go back to the room) and went to a café around the corner. Within 10 minutes I received increasingly frantic texts from my daughter saying our two laptops (which we left charging on a chair covered with a hoodie) were gone. We went back to the hotel to meet the night clerk, who had inspected the room (#216) with my daughter but seemed more interested in the fact that some things (an ipod and camera) were still there (which somehow reflected poorly on us). By far the most upsetting thing was his assertion that what we felt was clear evidence of forced entry (see photos on tripadvisor review – the police concurred) was ‘an opinion’, and he refused to call the police or the manager, stating that ‘this is a big hotel and stuff happens all the time’. I insisted on being moved to another room as the door was compromised (again, he reminded me, just ‘an opinion’). No rooms were available so we were put into a nice apartment in an adjacent building – the one ray of sunshine in this story. The next morning, the manager, Ms. M. Dik, was even more direct, stating that in regard to the damage to the door ‘that is your opinion’, and that she ‘did not see it’. (This raises the even more bewildering notion that all the Rho Hotel’s doors look like this).

A well located hotel, you always have at hand. Nice breakfast, clean rooms and quiet environment. Many employees speak in Spanish, would go if I go back to visit Amsterdam.

This hotel is right by the Dam Square, behind the yellow shoe you see everyone take their picture sitting in. The room was great, bathroom/shower great for Europe, and the breakfast was HUGE! I ate like a king every morning. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The only advantage is the location. Everything else "at C grade".
