The bedrooms are very shabby with stained badly fitting carpets. TV on wall was wobbly. The stool had 2 legs that were hanging off so couldn’t sit on it & the coffee table was very wobbly. The bathroom was fine & clean but freezing cold. The towels & robes were very small, hard & frayed…… definitely not 4*. Everything felt tired & neglected. The only thing was the bed was very comfortable The public rooms were nice, especially the Club room which has been refurbished & the food was excellent. The place needs a lot of work to bring it up to a decent standard for the price. Definitely will not go back to stay. Such a shame.

Yesterday we dined onboard the SS Rotterdam in the Club Room. We had fairly high expectations and we were not disappointed. We opted for the 4 course surprise dinner. The food was superb, the presentation classy, the accompanying wines were selected fittingly. The service was timely, kind, attentive to detail and yet relaxed. Highly recommended! Bring your wallet but it’s worth the occasion.
