Good stay and well maintained room.

Old school hotel. Been around town for the past 25 years, or so I've heard. The place could have been maintained better, but it's probably hard with the building being so old. The rooms are spacious, with wooden parker flooring instead of the usual carpet. Bed is surprisingly comfortable. But most of the furniture are old. There are two pools, one of the 11th floor, the other one on the 4th. Both look out of sort, like the last time they clean them were weeks ago. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for a quick trip.

3 star hotel. Good service. Cafe is nice.

A bit jaded and due for renovations. Fair priced, strategically located and good service. Recommended for business travellers.

Good location and decent breakfast spread. Pool was not something to shout about. But the gym was good. The room was clean and spacious for a family of 3. Across the was was Ipoh parade. So it was very convinient for shopping and finding food.

Ways stray here. Good rooms, reasonable tariff. Cross the road is large shopping centre, Ipoh Parade, with everything.

Old with smoke stench. Wooden Floor parquet give quecky sound. Breakfast selection not as good as weil. Swimming pool seems deserted. But staffs are OK generally. But for this price I think is fine.

Stayed here for 3D2N. The room was nice and clean. I think it has been newly renovated. They maintained some of the old school vibe but classy. I love that they have after midnight supper service! (11pm — 7 am)

Although the furniture old in the room. And the hotel itself, but I find it very comfortable. I like the breakfast buffet. Various of food. Big and spacious room. I stayed at 735.

The hotel is quite easy to find, just a walking distance to Ipoh Parade. The hotel room is spacious and clean. Food is good too.

Good hotel. Been there twice. Near to shopping mall. If taking breakfast, just go to restaurant "dim sun" in walking distance.

Nice. Not bad. The rooms like 80's concept but worth it. The food not bad. Just hard to get the indoor parking.

For 25yo hotel, I think they quite good in maintaining few stuff. The room is big. Bathroom also well maintain. The smell of old hotel is something you cant get rid with it but it is not disturbing. I use their gym at level 11 and for me it is enough, the equipement. Pool is at level 4 and level 11. Breakfast is something you can expect. Staffs are friendly. Even their operation manager also very freindly. Cleanliness at pool side level 4 especially their plants and pot need to be upkeep.

Nice oriental design hotel within city center and in new town. Old town accessible easily.

Ideally located in ipoh city centre — clean room with old furnishing. Had room with bath which is now a rarity. Efficient friendly frontline n housekeeping staff.

Booked family room but upgraded to suite. Room is ok, spacious. Toilet can be made more cleaner. Breakfast is just nice with 2 main dishes. The rest is ok.

The Wifi was malfunctioned The room was plain and the furniture old and faulty. Wardrobe had broken handle and drawer that cannot open while the remote control for the TV was not working. Breakfast was mediocre with limited variety while the baguette seemed stale and tea diluted. The only saving grace is the location.

Good facilities and central location. Near retail centres and easy accessibility. Good range of food options available as well.

Old hotel with old furniture but nice n cozy. The location is great as it is in the city center, so it is easy to get to tourist attractions. Got the junior suite but disappointed with the cleanliness level. The staff is friendly n helpful. The breakfast served taste ok n the varieties isn't that bad. They have welcoming drinks for guest. For the price I pay, it's worth the money.

Great hotel. Fantastically quirky Victorian style architecture which was bold, opulent and captivating. Room was spacious, well quipped and very clean. Good parking and good Wi-Fi connection. Some staff friendly — some just efficient — Steven NG from the bar took time to chat with us and made a very good gin and tonic. Breakfast was very good. The hotel was full of character — I really enjoyed my stay.

5-star hotel from the olden days — 24th anniversary in 2017. Classy, grand, rich with the old British colonial culture.

Used to be a posh hotel but it's facilitied are starting to get run down. However, many major events and exhibitions are still being held here. This place is also good for new Ipoh tourists as it is well connected to tour agencies.

Didn't stay here only went to ballroom for company event. Huge, old hotel with great location. Food is decent.

Everything were so dated in this hotel. In need of a complete ovehaul!

Service bad! when I booking there are employees tell us the room price for yesterday is rm179, but after I move in, manager come and tell us the room price is 229, is it no communication between workers? And, thr aircond for the room is not cold.

Room is dark, and only 2 lifts for such a big hotel. Gym and swimming pool is disappointing.

Its seriously over priced. My god damm newspaper didn't even make it's way to my room.

Stay there last night… in general the bed, room and bath are good… a bit distraction and can be dangerous as well which due to uneven timber flooring board… your kids feet can be injured… the hotel management need to take a look on this… staying at room 806… very nice view overlooking Ipoh City n poolside view as well… Cant comment on food due to early check out …

It's a good hotel. I liked it.
