Easy checkin by well trained front desk staff. Clean rooms with view of Ipoh town if taking in on a high floor. You receive a picturesque view after sunset. Ample room space for 2 persons in a booking for a double. Great coffeshop; amazing delicious menu food. Concierge services. Lastly surrounding area lots of restaurants or prefer can also select street food. Either way a win win situation. A couple of blocks away locates an exciting after 7, night market. Ask front desk for directions.

I forgot to take photos but the ballroom is quite nice. Only downside is the ladies washroom is in the front of the ballroom beside the stage. It's a little bit intrusive when speakers talk during seminars and participants go to the toilet.

Bad: booked and paid for king size bed. But rude receptionist told no king size due to online transaction. After argue n demand to meet w duty manager, she only willing provide. Good: after renovated, room is big, clean, spacious. Surrounding with eatery food.

It was pretty awesome. Should serve more desired foods tho and have more delicious drinks. Overall! Doable!

Old hotel but very well renovated like new. Easy access to car park yet with good security. Nice comfortable room with everything you need including fridge, iron and hair dryer. Serves good breakfast and moderate ramadhan buffet. Had an enjoyable stay.

Amazing hotel to stay and nice room interior design. The bed is comfortable to enjoy the night sleep. Really enjoyed the stay. Definitely will come back again. The reception staff so friendly and professional.

Old hotel, but its renovated into a very modern style hotel. Price is cheap. All four corner of the hotel has a lot of dim sum restaurant. Hotel location is right in the middle of the city. Value for money hotel. Next to the lobby, there's a bottle shop selling different kind of wines. 24 hours groceries shop is just next door.

Check in at 1pm. When I got to my rooms, air con for both rooms were not working. Call reception to get maintenance. Waited till 445-515pm, then they say ac down for good. Was having high fever and requested them to change rooms for me but was told to wait. Will never come to this hotel again.

Be aware of ants everywhere in the rooms, dressing table, bed, toilet and crawling the walls. Rooms aren't vacuumed and sheets not changed unless you complain…

This is a great hotel which is smartly located walking distance to shopping center, mural street arts, concubine lane, famous dim sum etc. The room was rated as very clean with well maintenance done, smell nice too and parking was easy with security in place. Accessing the car park is direct from room level, very convenience. However, the multi-storey carpark could be challenging for bigger cars and not too confident drivers. If so, there is a open space carpark located behind the hotel (see photos). Hotel has good views too (see photos). Breakfast was so-so.

Conveniently located hotel with restaurants/cafes/shops just outside the hotel within walking distance. I even walked all the way to the famous Concubine Lane (maybe 10-15 minutes walk) from the hotel. The room I booked was large and spacious as it was the 2 queen beds room ideal for 4 adults. The hotel may be old but the amenities and furniture and bathroom fixtures are fairly new and clean.

Location is very good near the famous restaurants, shopping and places of interests. Family room is clean and spacious too although the towels look old and a bit dirty. Stable and fast Wi-Fi connection at every corners.

Clean and comfortable stay at Excelsior Hotel. Good location with many food around. Recommend to try the emperor set meal at the Excelsior palace.

Good location, clean room, friendly service. I stayed 2 days so far… no problem. Many restaurants nearby, I would like to mention the Overseas restaurant right across the hotel. I ate there two nights. Excellent.

Conveniently located with many eateries within 1 to 3 min walk. For example the well known Oversea Restaurant, Hong Kong Dim Sum, and coffee shop that sells local dishes for breakfast. The Wednesday night market, popular Bean Sprout Chicken, desserts and Chinese Biscuits are also with 8 min. Walk.

Newly devoted but the reno was not done properly. For scamp? e, the shower door will not clip in place when closed. I do not know why hotel these day seems to like to place a piece of deer through glass in the shower. For modesty sake, please remove it. Otherwise, the hotel is a better position for being great!

Right in town, great location. Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. Very friendly staff. Sound proofing could be a bit better. All in all, recommended.

Good price for such luxury hotel in bandar. Internet a bit slow sometimes no internet.

Car part 24 hours with security, dun worry anything happen … I get my room with clean … Good service for me. Room with fast Wi-Fi.
