Great hotel in a great location. Very close to metro station what I lijed the most. Breakfast are continental and on the other hand you can taste asian breakfast too. I liked this place.

This was my second time staying at Hotel Monterrey Hanzomon. The rooms have adequate space and are priced appropriately. Staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions. Location is convenient to the metro station and in a quiet area. The bathroom and room were clean; the free smartphone was very helpful. My only complaint is that the room I stayed in was in need of new wall paint and furniture. There were many marks on the wall and cabinets, and a lot of visible dust under the television cabinet. Overall a pleasant stay.

The first hotel I ever stayed in Japan. Nice area. Quiet and good links.

Room was more spacious than I expected. However, lighting was dim and walls were dirty in some places. Comfortable place apart from the problems above.

To the business hotel is very good space slightly small but clean staff is very friendly, as long as the room has been cleaned, you can check in very good location, Hanzomon station 5th exit 10 meters on the.

The most important advantages after check-out can be sent luggage, I checked out after 2 days this is very important for free travelers, not many restaurants can then 50 meters there is a supermarket, open until one o'clock in the morning have diapers (this is also super important)

Poor Wi-Fi, good reception staff clean rooms but tired. After 4 days still can't understand how to operate the TV…

Hotel is conveniently located to the subway and a 15 min walk to the nearest JR station. The standard of the rooms do not match the rates unfortunately. The feel very grubby, you can see how dirty the walls are. Not a nice room to relax in. The staff are very nice when we brought the condition of our room to their attention they offered us another room but it was just the same. Management/owners should really consider a refurbishment or a lick of fresh paint at the least.

Just next to MRT ext 5. Very convenient! The room space is a bit bigger, comparing to same level of hotels.

Lobby very modern. Room only accessible in elevator. Modern bathroom and interesting breakfast which could have been a bit more Japanese. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Is very good and the Spanish is a great advantage because you're at the center of it all and the receptionists are very pleasant.

The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is good, choice of japanese or western, very quiet.

Perfect location whether for a short business trip or Tokyo vacation stay. Next to the Hanzomon subway station and a 24 hr convenience store. Small but comfortable room with great beds and pillows to ensure a solid sleep. Restaurant available for breakfast. Sizeable car park located in the basement of the building. All staff very courteous and professional. Never disappointed when I stay there. Absolutely great value for money. Also a great location at cherry blossom time just minutes from two of Tokyo’s famous viewing locations.

Very comfortable and well appointed hotel Rooms are a good size and the staff are wonderful. It is really well situated for seeing the sites of Tokyo. Will most certainly stay here again.

The entire hotel is non-smoking except in the designated room on the first floor. The Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection to Internet is very slow. This needs to be improved. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. If you can include the buffet with your room reservation, it is highly recommended.

Great location, it's a 20 min train ride to Tokyo and a 5 minute walk from the local station. Great service, room was spacious as we upgraded our room when we came and we were very happy with the room size. Bathrooms are clean and nice.

Elegant and welcoming 4-star hotel with reception 24-7 in English and Japanese language. You access the floor through the elevators by using a card that enables the call and then serves to access your room. The room is equipped with every comfort including bathroom accessories (shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush etc. ). Each room is equipped with a sanctifying dehumidifier. You can have breakfast (international). The tree is located in front of the Metro Hanzomon stop. At about 50 meters there is also a seven eleven (very convenient for something to eat "on the Fly")

The place needs better hygiene. That is not my blood on the pillow. Also while the location is excellent, the internet is almost unusable due to its obscenely slow speed. The price and bright interior certainly makes this look attractive at first sight but I wouldn't reserve this hotel if I had a choice.

It was very clean and room size was good for me. There are tiny rooms in Japan but Hanzomon was good. But locations little bit miss. Because so many business building around there but not much restaurant and pub. Anyway park near, quiet, police cars patrol the around hotel night time so safety.

Convenient location, interesting design, well worth the money.

Rooms are nice and clean however quite small like most places in Japan. The location is super convenient and its directly across from Hanzomon station, you can walk to the imperial palace and there are many mini markets and cafes around the hotel. From Hanzomon station you can basically get anywhere and even the subway ride to the airport is easy however you have to change lines twice which is simple.

Visited Japan on holidays (not business) the hotel was a little expensive but NOT crazy expensive for Tokyo ($200 ish) Close to the train station, convenience stores very close, decent places to eat nearby. Staff friendly but English is pretty basic (as you would expect in a non English speaking country), close to imperial palace (good to have a gander), in terms of facilities; Rooms are comfortable (medium size) Bathrooms in the room very neat and tidy (great bath tubs) Beds comfortable but a bit hard Internet free and good TV with English channels Very quiet (like the area) rooms Over all pretty impressed! :-)

I'm staying in a standard double room, however it's just about to fit only for myself. I'd say it's quite small for 2 guests. It's neat and clean though. Also like the deep bath, cozy pyjamas, breakfast. It has a couple of convenient stores and a supermarket nearby.

The room was a little smaller than I thought, but the hotel was wonderful. They clean your room everyday, greet you when you leave, and when you come back. They have a delicious breakfast and their staff works very hard to make sure you have plenty to eat. I look forward to come back again!

Loved the included breakfast. It's the first hotel I stayed at here in Japan and it was helpful in getting over jetlag with comfortable beds and enough space.

It's location is the only thing I feel good about. There are stains and serious scratches everywhere on the walls. The rooms and the beds are too small. I didn't try their meals, but they might taste good due to their high price.

Solid hotel. Stayed more than once with few issues. Across the road from Hanzomon Station (Hanzomon line) and a less than 10 minute walk to Kojimachi Station (Yurokucho line). No close JR station, but can connect via Metro (above). Includes wired and wireless internet in the hotel rooms and at reception. All internet is free, through sometimes a little slow. Bathrooms are good Japanese design; deep bath, electronic toilets are features.

The hotel is quite near the imperial palace and right next to hanzomon station. Staff are very friendly and helpful and they speak good English. The room has everything you need. The décor is dated and there are marks all over the walls though. Bathroom looks nice and new however.

Very conveniently located right by the Hanzomon station, literally across the road. Also within walking distance of Kojimachi station on the Yurakucho line. It took me 7 minutes with a child in tow. The room is small by global standards but average by Tokyo standards. Very clean and comfortable. English speaking reception and cleaning staff. Wifi. Vending machines. Meeting rooms.

Put us to smoking room, deceiving for 'upgrade' to bigger room. Then failed to accept we ordered nonsmoking room, insisting otherwise. It was a packed night and no other rooms available (apparently), but still they should've accepted they made a mistake and apologize, etc. Also the room was very filthy. Very unhappy.

Good hotel although the triple rooms are doubles with an extra bed. Better double that of the triple.

I stayed at the Monterey Hanzomon on business for a week and a half in January of 2014. I later moved to a much more luxurious hotel in the area (not my choice). After seeing both, I would have preferred to stay at the M. Hanzomon. The rooms are small, yes. But you're on Tokyo! Why would you want to stay in your room! Western/Japanese buffet for breakfast is decent. Staff is attentive and you're right across Hanzomon station. Plus, there is a large number of restaurants within walking distance. I also found and used a coin operated laundromat within 15 minutes walking distance and the ATM at the 7-11 on the corner. I will definitely return.

I put my mom and her friend up here when they stayed in Tokyo. Of all the five hotels we stayed in during their travels, this was their favorite. The staff speaks decent English and for a Tokyo hotel it's very reasonable cost-wise. And as a bonus for overseas travelers, it's right across the street from Hanzōmon Station and several cafés.

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks in 2008 and it was clean, reasonably priced, and right across the street from the subway station so we got around the city easily. We speak no japanese but got along fine here, and we were able to use internet in the lobby for a low price.
