Really nice place and staff. The hot water bath is amazing.

גסט האוס מסורתי, נחמד מסודר ונקי. ישנים על הרצפה במזרנים דקים, לנו זה היה נוח מאד. חדרי המרחץ כוללים אונסן — בריכות חמות קטנות לשימוש פרטי — להבדיל מהבריכות הציבוריות המקובלות. שימו לב שאין מקלחות יעודיות והרחצה היא בחדרים של הבריכות. הבריכות הפנימיות כלולות במחיר והחיצונית בתשלום נוסף. הצוות נחמד מאד ומדבר אנגלית, לרוב. ארוחת בוקר לא כלולה במחיר החדר והיא מערבית וכוללת דברים כמו לחם, חמאה, דגני בוקר וכו׳. במרחק הליכה יש כמה מסעדות. כדאי לוודא עם הצוות מה יש בהן והאם הן פתוחות.

I went to FujiHakone Guest House back in May. I loved it, it is really nice. The room is basic, but traditional and I loved that. The staff were super lovely. It was quiet when I went and the bus stop just outside takes you to Togendai, then you can take the pirate ship. :) I loved my stay! The onsen was lovely too!

Amazing establishment. The staff are warm and inviting, very helpful, and expedient with service. Three onsen (hot springs) on-site means you will be able to soak and relax after a long day exploring Hakone. Highly recommended.

Was able to book just hours before! Very accommodating staff at a charming guest house. Rooms are very clean and the scenery is beautiful. Private indoor (free) and outdoor (500¥/person) natural onsen can be reserved for 30 minute slots and feel great. Conveniently located next to a bus stop and you can get a Hakone Freepass on site!

It was a lovely stay, all the place is traditional japanese style! easy to get there and near by to the main attractions in Hakone, and the hostess was really kind with us makes you feel like home :)

Great little traditional Japanese Ryokan. Great service and has all the amenities you could need. Good restaurants are only a couple minutes walk. Bus station is a very short walk and most of the Hakone tourist spots are only about 15 minutes bus ride away. Fantastic service from the hosts. At least one spoke English very well so we did not have to try to interact with our very broken Japanese.

Very friendly, with private family style onsen (a time slot needs to be reserved in advance). Nice traditional rooms, we were lucky to get one with a private toilet. Extensive collection of documentation for westerners, about local restaurants, customs, etc. Much appreciated.

The atmosphere is a bit weird, and it smells as if the place doesnt open its windows to let fresh air in. Not that great of a stay.

Incredible little spot, with the most lovely and helpful staff. The guest house has everything you could need in terms of equipment i. E. Hair dryer, fridge, etc even down to authentic sleep ware. The rooms are equipped with both heating and cooling, although one will be disconnected depending on the season. They also have green tea available throughout the day but if you like coffee; I would bring your own as it is only served at breakfast. The natural spring is something I almost didn't do but was incredible and I would highly recommend it.

Good location. Two onsens, one indoor and another one outdoor. No additional fee, just have to book a time. Very welcoming hosts. Buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. Very good sleep quality.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice simple traditional Japanese rooms with futon. Free reservation of indoor onsen with booking but outdoor onsen is worth booking as well. If I am in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

Great base for climbing Mt. Fuji. Very nice place to stay. On arrival we were greeted by the host who booked us in, she spoke very good English and went above and beyond with helping us get settled (gave advice on which buses to take to Mt. Fuji, timetables for buses and trains, local restaurants in the area and their menus, local attractions and a lot more) they have a bunch of folders that they've put together with tonnes of info on everything you'd need to know for your stay in the area, very comprehensive and helpful. Imprecise Wi-Fi (70mbps d/l) Room was great and had a nice view of the forest and a small stream. Hot spring is fantastic (private, so tattoos are ok) and great for soaking your body in after climbing the mountain. Wasn't expecting modern toilets with it being a traditional style place, but it had them, which was nice. I can recommend restaurant 3 in the folder, traditional Japanese. Overall a great place with very helpful/friendly staff. Thank you Takahashi family!

The hostel is ok and has all the basics. Added an extra star because the hot spring baths are amazing and is something you certainly need to do!

We fell on this place by accident as the booking we had at a different guesthouse fell through and I have to say I am glad it did because this place is fantastic. Great staff, great location and fabulous private hot springs. If you are looking for something different Fuji-Hakone Guest House is the place to stay. Located approximately 20 minutes up the mountain from the main rail station. All you need to do is catch the T Bus and get off at Senkyoromae bus stop and walk for 2 minutes and you will be there.

Beautiful and friendly guest house. Very enjoyable stay! So many onsen! Our room had a river running a few metres away from the window. It was amazing!

Good price/quality ratio, simple yet nice traditional traditional Japanese style room with a nice view outside, two indoor and one paid outdoor onsen, very nice hosts, Western style breakfast with plenty of choice and good overal hygiene. Lighting was effective, but not very ambient, prices of additional services sometimes felt unnecessary as I would have liked to have seen them included in the main deal (although nice they give you the option to pay for them as an extra and not force it) and sometimes the quality of the interior and the objects in them felt a little sub-A-grade.

It is a family run guest house with quite a few bedrooms. The hot springs are the best asset to this place. The place would benefit from some light renovation and cleaning. The view in room 6 is stunning, overlooking the stream. Nice traditional Japanese futon beds with amazingly thick duvet. A nice stay.

The place is magical and homey. It's our first in a ryokan and we enjoyed it! It exceeded our expectation, price is, location, room and facilities is, host is. They are so accomodating, she can communicate well and guided us where best to go and transporation details. What I can't forget is the Onsen, so refreshing and healing. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay on May 1st. We caught the last bus to go from the train station to the guesthouse due to lost luggage. The owner offered to pick us up from the bus stop after 10pm. I love the indoor and outdoor hot springs. Traditional Japanese room is super comfortable.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The owners are very nice, and work very hard to keep their lovely guesthouse busy and comfortable. We hat a lovely stay.

Great traditional type room for our stay. The staff was wonderful and so was the on-site Onsen. My only negative is thata couple of bugs got in our room, but that's the forest for you! Overall great stay!

Really nice traditional stay in a Ryokan. Hosts were really polite, warm and welcoming. The futtons were so comfortable. In a peaceful area. Fast Wi-Fi. The onsen was the best part! Must try!

Looks cheap, but once you get there you might have to pay for additionals, paid extra for the beddings of my 5 year old kid which is customary. We could have shared but was not allowed. You'll pay extra for the outdoor hotspring which you can have free with 3 or 4 star hotel nearby and have the same price range. You also pay extra for the breakfast. NOt recommended.

About 12900¥ /night for2persons staff is very nice, the old japanese style room and onsen.

Great Location, Close to Bus Route, Good Amenities, Great out doors hot spring bath. Near The Little Prince Museum. Great Hiking up nearby Mt. Kintoki.

Incredible and relaxed atmosphere. Very simple ryokan, yet it has all you will ever need. Staff is very helpful and nice.

Absolutely charming and helpful hosts and staff. Very comfortable room with the best view of any place I've stayed in Japan! The bath fed by natural springs before bed is something I will miss! Their suggested route for a full, happy day in Hakone was spot-on. Thank you so much!

My wife and I stayed at the Fuji Hakone Guest House a while ago — and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Futons from paradise (large, fluffy, immensely insulating), a thoughtful arrangement of rooms around a common area, and a piping hot onsen with an external area. I heartily recommend this guest house — the staff are polite, respect your privacy, but clearly enjoy providing a warm welcome to visitors.
