Private onsen with the views of the mountain. With limitation of public onsen because of tattoos this hotel's private onsen were prefer for our needs. An experience of a lifetime. Staff were accomodating and polite to show us around. Although we didn't stay at Jozankei Daiichi hotel we would go back for the private onsen.

Location is pretty far from the city but good at relax and calm down atmosphere. Food and service is perfect!

Great place. Our stay included both a Japanese style dinner and breakfast. The public onsen was really nice with five different springs, including an open air one. Unfortunately our in room onsen did not work, as the water was not flowing nor was it hot.

和室10畳のお部屋に泊まりました。 建物の古さを感じない清潔感が良かったです。また、外は雪がちらつく寒さでしたが、部屋の中はとても暖かかったです。 夕飯は、料理自体はとても美味しくいただきました。ただ、お料理の出てくるタイミングは終盤になるにつれ、遅くなります。 ホールにいる方の説明等の接客は丁寧 (過ぎる) なので、それが遅くなる要因かもしれません。 鍋の後に雑炊を勧められましたが、卵とご飯だけのはずが、30分経っても出てこなかったため、キャンセルしました。。。 朝食はバイキングなので、早めにいけば待つことはないです。デザートの所は並ぶかもしれません。。。 温泉は、内湯 (男湯:3 女湯:3) 、露天 (男湯:2 女湯:1) 、貸切:1 (部屋のプランによっては＋1) 、離れ2 あります。朝の5時に男湯と女湯が交替になります。 女湯の方がやや熱いです。 館内に最中のお店が2017年12月24日にオープンしていました。 ちょっと高めで、オーダーしてから商品手渡しまで少し時間を要します。でも、味は良かったです。 全体的な評価としては、良い印象です。

Spacious guest room but a bit pricey. $700 USD for a 2 bedroom penthouse suite. Free access to private space for an hour with this room. Don't be late for their shuttle or else you will have to navigate your way their independently, which was a hassle. Kaiseki dinner was decent with a great crab variety. Breakfast kaiseki was not memorable at all. I would skip that and go for the breakfast buffet.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the room soup room is a little small but the popular bath is great! Choose a few, two days and a night, and you really can't finish it. This is a food and lodging plan for the Cod crab combination. The meal really didn't disappoint us at all, it was great!

A good place to enjoy the Japanese onsen culture. Good service and clean place. Highly recommend.

We have a very good time in this hotel. The room is very good with private insensitive and the set dinner is very nice and full. The staff can speak English with hospitality. The dinner place is very quiet and cozy. It is really a good choice to stay here.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at this hotel. Our room had a private onsen inside and was in traditional Japanese style with futon beds. The hotel has various types of onsen and also offers the possibility to reserve one for about 40 minutes. The furniture in Meiji era style were very nice. We had a wonderful and rich Japanese dinner. Beverages were not included in the set menu. The overall price was not cheap but in line with the great service we had. I fully recommend it.

Cozy restaurant serving gourmet Japanese food which overseas visitors have no problem enjoying. Luxurios en-suite japanese hot bath is an added bonus.

Luxurious ryokan. Great services and helpful staffs. However, for the price they charge, it wasn't worth it. Food was OK. My room had private Onsen with view.

Great onsen hotel in Jozankei, private onsen room is also available. Great food provided from its restaurant as well. Btw, a delicious ramen shop is located just around the corner, very classic style, worth a try too!

Even it difficult to communicate in English. This hotel provides shuttle bus from Odori park. A great services with sit down check in. Dinner set and breakfast is great.

Stayed April — 2014 : A beautiful, serene secret with mid-century modern architecture, fantastic food and service. Convenient shuttle bus from Sapporo. Despite all the newer hotels and onsen, the retro MCM architecture and the variety of pools in the onsen are what I'd go back for.

Very good and cheap place to live.
