I only give one star here, because the pictures look great and the location would certainly have been nice. HOWEVER, the hotel is absolutely uncompromising in the current Corona situation. Please pay attention to the cancellation deadlines when you book. We were able to cancel for free six days before arrival. All okay, because we wanted to fly. Unfortunately, just a few hours before our holiday Venice was declared a risk area. For us, this would have meant quarantine (free of charge) and/or a Covid-19 test at our own expense. Too much consequences for a weekend trip. We then cancelled our stay and asked the hotel for a compromise. We as guests can't do anything about it, nor can the hotel. We were hoping for a concession, discount, voucher (because we would have liked to stay here the next one). Nothing. At some point, no response was received and the credit card was charged.
By the way. Another company (GetYourGuide) where I had booked a water taxi, returned the money to me without ifs and buts and with a lot of understanding. So it's different.
It is sad that, in the current situation, such companies confirm the lack of travel, the uncertainty and thus further damage the industry. We will not book here again.
