Perfect location for Teatro La Fenice, Lovely Hotel, excellent staff, of which all were more than happy to help with everything. I would recommend this Hotel.

Exquisite marble floors in our downstairs suite. Quaint and a short walk to everything important.

Centrally located hotel with very friendly staff. The booking over the Internet worked without any problems.
The 4-bed room was clean and large with table, closet and chest of drawers as well as three chairs, double bed and two single beds. The bathroom was "room optimized" for this, which could have been a bit bigger.
Breakfast was full of sausages, cheeses, rolls, cakes, pastries, cereals, fruits, etc. There's something for everyone.
The location is first class. 5 minutes walk to St. Mark's Square or water bus. Restaurants and several shops in the immediate vicinity.
If we go to Venice again, we will not look for a hotel for a long time, but will head straight to the Mercurio.

Apartment room was great and good service. Just breakfast had very less vegetarian options. Hotel is very near to san Marc's square.

Clean room and bathroom, change sheets after 3 days, satisfying breakfast. Professional and courteous staff. To return to us in a Venetian prox stop. Strategic location.

We just spend two nights in the Hotel Mercurio. We had a really good time there. The hotel is located close to the must-see spots. The breakfast is good — although the fruit selection could be more variegated. The rooms are small but for a few nights absolutely fine! The service is good and the people at the reception are very nice and helpful! We will come again!

Horrible experience at this hotel. First time in Venice and this hotel had horrible service. They advertise they have laundry service and they didn't. The air condition was broken down for a couple days during our stay and the hotel management never notified us nor provided a fan or other options for us while it was the hottest time in Europe (July). We tried calling reception from our room and no one would pick up the phone or call back so my husband had to go down their himself to get an answer about the air condition issue and was unimpressed at the reply he got from them. Would not reccommend staying at this hotel. No warm welcome from the start.

I was surprised and disappointed to find out that our room was in another building quite a bit away from the main hotel. When we arrived, the hotel had somebody come to the lobby to take us to our room. We had to walk through a few alleyways. Not that big of a deal — just thought we'd be in the hotel.

Delicious hotel, located in the strategic area. Great kindness and availability from everyone, room quiet and cleanliness. Not to mention that we are one step away from one of the most beautiful theatres in the world. Thank you, Hotel Mercury, I'm definitely coming back.

Charming little Venetian apartment on the canal that is chain to Bella Hotel. Close walking to all the sites, shopping, and restaurants. 30min walk to main train station on the island. Not for those who wants full luxuries. The studio was equipped with everything we needed and clean.

The hotel was nice. Great location, very near to St Mark’s Square. The room was small but very clean. The staff was friendly. The best was the breakfast, very complete!

My stay was pleasant room was very clean had my own little apt on the lower level over looking the water side with balcony. Do not expect huge bathrooms in alot of hotels in Europe but my unit was very comfortable. The breakfast was more than I expected I really enjoyed my whole stay and would recommend this hotel. Location was in a perfect spot I might add close to the square and water transportation.

A good value hotel in the heart of Venice. Rick Steves’ tour groups use this hotel so that’s all the recommendation I need. We have stayed here before and have come back again. It’s well located, has lovely rooms and a good breakfast. You won’t be disappointed.

Caution! *** Whatever you do, don’t book here. This will ruin your trip to lovely Venice like it did ours. This Hotel should be reported for false advertising. The management/ownership are Mercenaries of Venice. My wife and I reserved a basic suite and what we got was nothing like the advertised picture. It was dirty with red stains (blood or maybe wine — either way gross) on the outdated curtain like fabric walls. Oh and the same type of red stain on our bedspread. There was a half drunk bottle of liquor left there under a chair and the bathroom light was flickering like a red light district strobe light. Our room was perched right next to a Venice alley-walkway with all the noise of foot traffic and people’s loud conversations. The Wi-Fi connection was absolutely non-existent which was challenging for us since we do a lot of work online. So we asked to change rooms because of all these factors. There were no apologies given for false advertising and dirty conditions. The only offer we got was to pay more money for a decent room. We already were paying 40% more than their current rooms were advertised at the time since we made the mistake of booking in advance for what we later realized was a low season trip. So we had no choice but to pay their demands for a decent room. They should be ashamed for such customer service. My wife was appalled as she has worked in the hotel industry for many many years and has never seen such negligence and outright lies.

Small room but plenty of space if all you're doing is sleeping. Good location next to a big plaza and tourist area, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. It is an easy walking distance from the San Marco Pier. If you have a physical impairment you should choose to stay elsewhere as there are several stairs to climb.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in 63 and it was great top floor over the canal with a queen bed a twin bed and a couch in the or room that I think is a fold out. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Hotel within a few steps of St. Mark's Square. Simple but with all you need, a nice welcome and people listening always ready to give good advice to get to the planned visits… a very good breakfast with choice!

Located near the Teatro La Fenice, a few steps from St. Mark's Square and the ferry stop, it offers the possibility to move easily. Clean, comfortable rooms, good breakfast. To get to the room we had to make several flights of stairs so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has walking problems.

Very good location, staff very good, very good breakfast. The doors slam on the other hand and it becomes heavy. Smell of sewers in the bathroom but clothes changed every day. I recommend.

The location is excellent. The people at the hotel is very, very kind. Always available to help. Do not expect rooms like an american hotel. Very european. We stayed at suit 63 and it is a big room with like a living room inside. Very good bathroom. Extremely clean!

Nice hotel dedicated to couples one step from St. Mark's Square.

Great and accessible location. Great selection of food for breakfast. Although down fall unfortunately was the RUDE STAFF! The staff had attitude and just rude with their tones. It didn't make the experience staying at the hotel all that lovely. They need better pillows.

Hotel with a fabulous location, midway between Rialto and St. Mark's Square. Rooms with good size quite quiet and very clean. All kinds of amenities. The breakfast is very plentiful and the staff treatment is perfect. If you take the Baporeto at the airport from the Rialto Stop it takes 5 Mintos to get to the hotel. For all of this I think it is a great hotel to stay in Venice.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Large size hotel for Europe. The staff was very friendly and have is some very good recommendations that were off the beaten path. Hotel was right in the middle of everything and very close to Rialto bridge. Very happy with our experience.

Breakfast is great and location is fantastic.

Service was good, however the room was really small and they offered an upgrade but with an upcharge, the upgrade only included a "larger room" but same amenities which is the room I paid. Also they charged us 7euros for the city tax, I've been charged only 4euros for city tax before.

We were a party of 5 staying in the apartment which was NOT in the hotel. It was not even behind the hotel… we had to walk a few blocks to access the hotel for breakfast. It was boiling hot, we had no hot water for showers on our first morning, the bed settee was a disgrace with a thin mattress which made it so uncomfortable. Breakfast was lovely but we had to set our own table as they were short staffed and the waitress looked so unhappy. On the plus side the hotel is very central near some nice restaurants.

It's very near San Marco square, and that's great if the aim of your visit is tourism. Evento if ir may appear to be difficult to find it in the map, it is really easy yo get todo the hotel with the instructions given by the hotel. The room is okay, but the accesibility for people with dissabilities is really bad. The is not elevator, and you have to go up one floor in order to enter yo the main floor. The hotel service carrries the luggage upstairs and they give you a bottle of prosseco when you do the check in. The breakfast was okay and with much things.

I didn't like the place; but by mistake rated 5. The reception staff were not friendly.

The Hotel was cozy, and the bathrooms were very clean. The room with a view of the canal that was requested when booked through TripAdvisor was not given to us. We specifically requested for a room with a canal view. We received half of a court yard view with half of a construction site. Money was not the problem, therefore if extra €s for this particular canal view had to be payed, it should have been presented. The complimentary breakfast was average. Will I make reservations to stay at this hotel again? No. Will I refer others? No. Thank God it was for only 2 days.

I love this quaint hotel in Venice. The location is perfect (near San Marco and the Rialto Bridge) Breakfast is very good and choices are plentiful (by European standards, mind you, I've eaten in US hotels with less choices) The staff friendly and helpful. Antonio, Luca, Marchello and of course Monica. We had a couple of requests and they accommodated us. The beds were firm and nice and the bathroom quaint and modern. The rooms were a little old and needed a little fixing up but over all Mercurio was nice. I would go back without hesitation. Ciao.

The hotel was a little old feeling but the updates were nicely done. We were on the top floor so beautiful exposed beams in our room and nice view of rooftops from our window. Their shutter system meant a nice dark room in the night / early morning for great sleep. They had very nice staff and a central location great for first time visitors! They could use some better cleaning, as some parts of room were dusty (rarely seen sides of beams etc).

Old Hotel It's dingy the rooms are traps. If you are taller than 1, 70 nn let you give the rooms on the second floor Xké you slam with your head in the wooden beams saw Ke is a attic, or let yourself give a helmet! The Wi-Fi in the hotel nn works X nothing you connect but without navigating, only good thing is the friendliness of the staff.

You won't find something like that in this category, it's clean — good breakfast included, best value for your money. Our recommendation! Hanne and Chris.

We got a really nice room. Last floor but not much stairs. Room was very clean. The only thing that they have to improve is the breakfast. It's a bit poor.

Our room was very small and uncomfortable. Rich and varied breakfast, staff always helpful and friendly. Have made available their boiler to dry our clothes wet, due to high water, given the lack of radiators in the room.
Against this background the owner c lent a pair of boots for sightseeing giving us the chance to dry our shoes. Overpriced even if the period was unique.
