A really nice hotel that if beautiful inside. Well laid out rooms and bath rooms. All the staff are so helpful. Meals are lovely. The hotel is right on the grand canal so within each walking distance of all the main sites. St Marks square just a minutes walk away. Would 100% recommend this hotel.

Exceptional staff, above and beyond most places, beautiful lobby, breakfast is a little expensive if you have large family. Can get water taxi direct from airport to hotel, which is convenient. Great views from roof top and canal bar. Even our room had a great view. 2. Minute walk to Piazza San Marco. Rooms and balcony could use a little attention but being on the water you can expect some exterior plaster spots in need of attention. Room was a spacious 500+ sqft and very comfortable. Only problem I spotted in the room was there was one small-ish worn spot on the carpet. Would recommend to friends and family. Would stay there again in the future. Great value right in the heart of Venice.

I confirm more and more, cozy atmosphere, very professional staff, fried exquisite fish, I enjoyed for the first time the basil ice cream… a wonder for the palate. Waiter Mattia and room ma'tre Sergio. They were divine, I mark them for their professionalism, education, solarity and competence. Very good!

I stayed there in 1984, I loved the staff, the location and the old world charm of the hotel. From 1985 onward I became a well known international instructor of tourism for Holiday Inn, Hilton, Doubletree and Best Western. Although I have been to Venice a few more times, last in 2017, if I go solo and not on business or a tour I will return to your hotel again as it is steeped in history and the history of Venice, the city of my grandparent's homeland where east meets west.

Absolutely Fantastic place to stay, our first trip to Venice and we could not be more pleased with everything this hotel has to offer. May be a bit on the pricier side but you get what you pay for and the staff here are Amazing. We will be back for sure!

Well placed for major sites. Formal public rooms and hallways a bit dark and foreboding for my taste but well maintained and there are comfortable places to sit and relax. Public room music very relaxing and at the appropriate sound level for conversation or quiet resting time after bustling city streets. Large room but lacking in room coffee or easily available morning coffee close to rooms. Breakfast on the terrace is spectacular with good service and a view over the Grand Canal. I had a comfortable five night stay.

The Bauer is heaven on earth! When staying in Venice there is no better place to stay than the Bauer! My wife and I love this Hotel and totally recommend it.

We just returned from three days at the Bauer Palazzo in Venice and will certainly be back. Our room was incredible facing the Grand Canal and the service was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The location seemed perfect for what we were looking for as I was out early almost every day to photograph the city. Loved this hotel and highly recommend.

Magnificent Five star hotel, strategically located. Great service and impeccable facilities.

One of the best hotels in Venice. By location between the Grand Canal and a minute's walk from San Marcos. Its terrace to Orillacde Canal, for breakfast every morning watching the Grand Canal and the salute opposite is a privilege.

The one and only bauer Venice. It gives you a trill all the time you walk trough it. Does not matter if you stay there it just has a vibe. Check out the grand canal facing terrace. Enjoy the bartender specials. Be ready to party in the small nigh club if its open for special events. Enjoy the luxery of the hotel and of the rooftop… if you are a guest.

The place is fascinating the prices as well, but this is Venice.

Beautiful Location in the centre of Venice, a stone's throw from St. Mark's Square and the ferry stop. Clean and friendly room Friendly and qualified staff. To go back there definitely.

Great location in the center of everything. Our room was spacious and had beautiful views of the city. Breakfast was delicious every morning. You can choose to take it in the canal-side restaurant or the rooftop lounge. Both have incredible views. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. My only complaint was that we did not find most of the concierges' restaurant suggestions to be good. That said, their suggestion of Vini da Arturo, was our favorite meal. All together, it was a great home away from home for the week and we would recommend it to our friends and family.

Luxury and historic hotel. We stayed at the annex Bauer Casa Nova for 3 nights. The breakfast terrace in the main building is fabulous. Come early or late to enjoy a table by the water.

On August 8, 2017, we went to the hotel BAUER to enjoy a cocktail on the terrace. Once arrived, a gentleman greeted us, he spoke to us French. We explained that we were just having a drink not being hotel guests. At the time of paying our drinks, he leaned towards my husband and told him: 50 EUROS sir. My husband and I stayed shocked, the way he asked us for the money, without giving us the addition as it usually should. My husband stretched the blue card and the waiter told him 3NO card Mister ONLY CASH. " At that time we told him that we did not have a cache. He then left and another server came with the card device, always without ADDITION, just the card device or was registered 45 EURO.
For summary: 1/We are asked 50 euro in cache 2/None of addition 3/of 50 euros we spend at 45 Euro per credit card and always without any additions.
It goes either that this gentleman wanted to put 50 euros in the pocket… well tried…!
Another nice Italian scam but the worst in this story is that it happens in a 5 star hotel!
We found it outrageous on the part of a luxury hotel! And it gave a bitter taste to our cocktails and we never saw the addition of our own eyes. It is certain that anyway we got scammed well! Take care of that.

We chose this hotel to finish our honeymoon. For price we found it expensive but it was a 5 star and the occasion deserved it. When you arrive the hall of the hotel is Impredionante and Estsbamos eager to see our room. Which Desagradabel surprise, we were taken to a building called Casanova to an apartment overlooking a wall, 2nd century upholstery and very old and antique furniture. We claim that it was not the ones who sold us and told us that if we wanted something better we would have to pay a supplement. We feel deceived and swindled. Attention, cleanliness, facilities and service nefarious. I don't recommend it as a pass motel.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Centrally located with a terrace restaurant by the waterside. Really delicious food and I would say make sure you have sunglasses as although it's not so warm in October, the sun was shining! The hotel bedrooms splits into two sides, one is very traditional Venetian style and the other is modern &a contemporary style. There's also a rooftop bar here that's only open in the summer which has gorgeous views of Venice.

The service room location and space the general. A part of the hotel is a palace and its rooms overlook the Grand Canal with a view to salute, at least the MIA. The breakfast on the terrace is inexplicable for its quality and views. In short the experience is priceless.

Love this hotel. I've stayed here 3 years in a row. The rooms vary in size, so you never know what you'll get. I like to be near the square so I can hear the bells ringing in the mornings… The breakfasts are fabulous, they even have some gluten free options as well as eggs, bacon, deli meat, cheese. Pastry, yogurt, fruit, and salad. The dining area is on the Grande Canal. Make sure to take the elevator to the top floor and go out on the terrace off the private breakfast room for an amazing panorama view of San Marco and the Salute church.

Despite its five stars, not the best hotel in Venice. For a lot of money we were given a room where all the space was occupied by a bed. The suitcase was nowhere to put and it was hard to breathe because of the walls of the stoph — lined. The air was lacking catastrophically. That's why they slept with the window open to the yard-well. In the toilet we heard all the conversations, literally every word of our friends from the next room. Although there are positive scars: the interiors are beautiful, there is a parking of boats and breakfast is served in addition to a delicious breakfast and Prosecco.

Amazing hotel, Rooms and Service Are formidable and the breakfast is superb.

Great luxury place for first time visitors. We were upgraded to a suite that was elegant and huge. Breakfast had a verity of food.
