From Zunica I expected much more… really a great disappointment.
I expected to have lunch in their magnificent room where you have a breathtaking view and instead you don't… they put me in a ground floor in total silence… I choose the tasting menu from 55€ with 6 courses 0 to 0. I ask if it was possible to change the first, since all the dishes were with lamb or pecorino cheese, I propose a guitar with ragù … Chef I don't come to her to eat a pasta with ragù… but much more… This time he patched up and I'm very disappointed… especially since it was my birthday…

I had dinner at Zunica's a few days ago.
I am now a habitué and I have never been disappointed by the amazing and young kitchen staff! This time we opted for a traditional menu accompanied by a wine tasting chosen for us by the well-prepared sommelier Giovanni.
After a trio of appetizers including pecorino soup with truffle, the first iconics of the Abruzzo culinary tradition followed: scrippelle 'mbusse, civitellese stumps passed in a pan and abruzzo pancotto. This last dish in particular impressed me for the ancient and genuine flavor. A dish that brings to mind Grandma's kitchen. A real pleasure for the palate. We dined in the recently opened downstairs lounge, which made the evening even more intimate and enjoyable. Weird!

Top restaurant! Nothing else to add.

Restaurant to visit absolutely for those looking for a unique location, from the highest level of service to refined dishes and absolute quality! Not least the location in the lookout of the fortress of Civitella! Simply the top! Good guys!

The Hotel Ristorante Zunica 1880 is located shortly after entering the historical centre of Civitella del Tronto. It is a restaurant where you eat really good, presents a great service and the owner is friendly and helpful. It has a wide selection on the menu and there are also three tasting menus. I mean… Recommended!

What about… I have learned to appreciate the excellent qualities of the Zunica 1880 since I was a young girl, through my parents and various relatives (being originally from the magnificent territory of Civitellese) its great and avid admirers… but I am by no means biased when I assert with all esteem and sincerity that the Zunica 1880, over the years has never lost the enamel of that time, indeed has strengthened and confirmed with dignity its peculiar characteristics of always… in three words: courtesy, elegance and quality… Through… in the first place, the figure of the heir and patron Daniele Zunica, an authentic professional and man with a noble soul, through the staff always looking to put the guest at ease. And finally through the undisputed gifts of the young and talented chef Sabatino Lattanzi Whose innovative or traditional dishes are a sublimation for the palate! … If the whole thing is located in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy… considerations to you!

I do not know if we were the only unlucky ones but from the moment we sat down there was not a smooth one: after the third waiter asks us what we drink we were forced a fourth time to request water; the bread arrived after the only dish with which it could be accompanied, later we said to bring it equally and to our surprise we get to the table with a type less than the tables of our neighbors; we can't say anything to the chef but in the organization of the service and in the cleaning (paper tablecloths practically glued on the wood of the table and small crumbs scattered everywhere even on clean napkins) have left something to be desired! We made 200 km of road (round trip) to "aperistreet" in the fortress but we even skipped the event so we came out irritated. Ruined evening.

Came for the cooking classes which exceeded expectations. Food and service was 5 star. The staff and town people are extremely friendly and helpful.

Excellent restaurant, lovely place just below the fortress of civitella with panoramic views. Elegant and sober, great service, each dish change the cutlery. If you want to make a great impression is the right place if you are a refined taste, if you like the amount no … the price is compliant with quality, it's worth. Lovely restaurant with an extensive wine list as well as a nice selection of local beer. The food was splendid and there was a lot on the plates.
