It was real good to practise and perform behind the Taj Connemara. We're extremely delighted to have the peaceful space to practise our mime Act and perform for our clients. I strongly recommend artists who don't have outdoor space can use this space.

Delight is a word but when you experience the true delight that too with a smiling face is really awesome, isn't it? Yes indeed it was an unforgettable day at "The Lady Connermara Bar & Lounge" exclusive service was provided by K. Chiranjivee and his crew, the next side of my book at the same day was the most treasurable experience at "The Verandah" restaurant along with my wife and my kid, Ultimate taste, goodness felt, especially the mutton biryani soaked with real taste and handmade with experienced chef. Timely service at the table is very vital. But Mr. Shaji gave its best and took care of the day… Time well spent with real taste & awful ambience at the pool side at the The Taj Connemara!

We had a grt stay in this property. Staf was friendly. Food was super delicious. Bhaskaran hospitality was tremendous. Overall highly recommended.

They should include a map in the hotel. We keep going around the hotel to find the room. Food is okay. More mosquitoes than staff and guests. Hotel is fully not renovated. Staff members are kind and accommodative.

Overall one of my favourite places to stay in Chennai.

Taj Connemara Chennai is a well maintained historical building. It is perfect blend of past and present. Everything is well maintained and decorated. Some of the rooms need renovation but overall very decent environment. The food is authentic and genuine. The staff is very warm, friendly and helping. Definitely recommended.

Nice place by vivanta. Renovation work is going on and as usual they'll do a wonderful job. Nice swimming pool, spa and gym available.

The manager of the swimming-pool and steam-sauna was extreme friendly for me. When I asked all about the bus — and train traffic, he gave me fantastic advise. Herwith I made some journeys by bus and train in and around Chennai His recommendations gave me unforgetable memories of Cennai en India. Sometimes I like to come back from the Netherlands to Chennai to visit your Hotel ViVanta. Excuse me for I forgot his name!

It's a very relaxed atmosphere here Excellent room service and quick to act staff right from front desk to bell boy. Wi-Fi connectivity is good and food is simply awesome A must visit while in Chennai.

Heritage property. Biggest swimming pool among 5 star hotels in town. When you book insist on rooms in the new wing on 3rd or 4th floor. Food is just OK…

Horrible experience. I am staying here for my visa interview appointment. Rooms are very old fashioned. You will have to ask for small small things like dental kit, shaving kit which are expected in any Taj hotel. I had booked double bed room as I was traveling with my wife. All the amenities like a cup of coffee, pair of washroom sandals etc were missing for 2nd occupant. When I asked for change of room, I did not get any positive response. Support staff is good but you will have to ask for each and every small thing which is disappointing after paying such a high amount.

Best japaniss is served I would love it if managers and waiters respectively speak to the customers.

Decided to bring a couple of my childhood friends out here for some good food, but the food and experience was anything but good, let alone value for the cost! Checked out the outdoor restaurant by the bay and it was infested with crows swooping in to share food with us! The wait staff were anything but professional, and were giving out wrong info regarding the closing time of the kitchen and bar. The bar and the restaurant normally closes at 2.45PM, but we were informed that it closed at 2.30PM and were not allowed to have a pint of beer. But, I do have to give credit to the Manager of food services, Mr. Rahul, as he was very professional and accommodating to our concerns. He will have to do a better job of imparting his ethics and professionalism to the folks that work for him.

Indeed a true depiction of Taj. Had a nice comfortable stay. The hospitality and services extended were awesome. All the staff, chefs, stewards, house keeping staff and chauffeurs were extremely humble and genuinely caring. Their always smiling faces with willingness to help beyond the call of their duty was something very appealing. Food is simply delicious! Those who like to taste the typical south Indian delicacies, must try food in Raintree. Veranda is another good restaurant which offers wide range of food. The attractive dessert display in Verandah compels you to taste it. Simply awesome! Apart from food and the staff's hospitality, the Wi-Fi connectivity and cab facilities were also excellent. Overall had an excellent experience and a great stay.

A 5 Star with rate No Star Services Attended TiE conference in Vivanta. The coffee and tea served is not at all hot. The person serving soup is old. Seems he couldn't hear properly. When many asked whether it is veg or non-veg, he was starring at us. Felt sorry for him. The one urinals was blocked and after fews hour it was rectified. May be these people are hired on low wage. My opinion is the pay are not great in star hotels. They even could not switch off the lights when video was shown. When they switched off the light, the video also ended. No facility for guest to access Wifi. You have to pay Rs. 150 for 30 minutes to browse in business centre — corporate rate. Even though they are fleecing the customers. They are paying just 7k for the toilet cleaners. The staff are polite. 5 star with rate no star service.

The ambiance, food, certain staff and cleanliness was excellent! The only probelm we faced while staying there was. Some money was missing from my wallet after we went to have breakfast and came back. The room was cleaned though we had not put the 'clean my room' sign on the doorknob outside. So I would just suggest whoever goes there to be careful with their belongings.

I just checked in with 2 colleagues. It seems to be 170 yr old building, ambience is ok but the stink and smell of rotten old age is everywhere. I am not sure if it is the moisture on the carpets or just something else, the stink is everywhere. Then the bathroom acted up. The flush button once pressed never returned back and the entire floor got flooded. My feet on the water from the flush, yikes. The room service person came and I asked for some room freshner to kill the smell. He brought some spray that smelled like mosquito exterminating oil. Then he brought some lemon smelling liquid which was little better. But I was not happy at all, so they offered me a different room, which has the same smell but a little less. Surprisingly, when I checked in, like 1 hour before I changed the room, they told me nothing is available on second floor except 2 rooms for my colleugues. But within 1 hr, they offered me a room on second floor. So guys, this building is a stinking, rotting, smelly freak show. Will never recommend or come back here, ever.
