The 24/7 restaurant and the location is what I love about this place. It's a 5 star hotel you get a variety of continental food 24/7. The food tastes good, service is great as well, the location which being in the heart of the city is the biggest advantage. The Ambience, service and everything else is great but like every other five star hotels they need to improve the quantity or the pricing.

Gr8 hotel at the centre of the city. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Bathrooms are available with all necessary toiletries. Swimming pool is large and beautiful. Gym is well equipped with all equipments. Staff is courteous and helpful. Food at restaurants like 24/7 is very delicious. They offer buffet meals as well @ 2135/ — per person. Variety is huge and taste is very good. Parking is available. Have a disc at the ground floor and is always very crowded.

I wonder whether this review will be worth anything because I had visited Hotel LaLit for a brief period on 17-Jun-18 and that too, not to stay but as a visitor to one of the business/ meeting halls located at the rear end. The impression I formed is that apart from being fine, exclusive & high-class, this hotel seeks to be distinct by being original. The layout of the various blocks, lawns, gardens etc. Is unique and doesn't seem to be the copy of a stereotype or a similar hotel in its class. Parking is adequate and I could find a four-wheeler parking space despite a large number of visitors being present. One other point of interest is that the hotel is in the adjacent compound to 'Krishna', office of the Chief Minister (CM) of Karnataka. Review Date: 21-Jun-2018

The hotel is old but well maintained. A lot of Indians are looking for this place. Three people applied for an extra bed to stay in the room, but it is kindly provided that the height is slightly lower than the original bed. The staff are really friendly. When you have breakfast in the garden in front of the pool, you will feel peaceful. I would like to recommend it as a good family hotel.

Lalit Ashok caters to only marriage functions & group functions it seems. In house living in the hotel was a poor experience. The drapes were torn at many places, certainly not 5 star standards. The loo also average at best. Toilet rolls were replaced only on demand after they ran out and not as a normal. Got the feel of a cheap lodge. You need to look rich if you expect proper response from the front desk. Not the 5 star experience that we thought we deserved.

I had been here for an event. Had a very great time. Very well structured. Good interior. They serve great food. Both veg and non veg food are served. They also have a beautiful garden.

It's a five star hotel but I feel it doesn't deserve a 5 star. Food is okay okay. Only desserts have something to try with. Ambience is good.

Though I have been to this place numerous times, this time I had gone for our company town hall. The facilities — hall, seating arrangements, projector, sound n all was very good. High tea was good and delicious. However, counters were far less therefore lot of PPL could not enjoy the food.

Although the facade and the open lawns smack in the middle of the city would have you believe that this place must be running on rails to be able to provide the services at non-exhorbitant rates, it's all to the contrary in reality. The property is done up beautifully, although the conference Halls are a bit too small. The pool side area and the open lawns would make a good event venue, however the uncouth and unprofessional behaviour of the staff is awe-inspiring. The sheer lack of hospitality is an amazing feat that they have been able to achieve. The sales team handling the venues is commitment-phobic. They will only provide you the venue that they wish to provide at their convenience, although you would have paid for something else, and this after receiving a written commitment to the contrary. Moreover they are unaware of the ongoings of their own hotel — they will commit to you for a venue for a given date and send a contract for signing and retract a week later apologizing that they didn't know the hotel was organizing some other event at that venue. My experience with them was horrible and I am glad that I waited a few days before signing the contract and sending it in, otherwise it would have been one hell of a job for me to get out of. If you believe that venues are the static components in an event which need no further addressing once the paperwork is done, then this is not the place to look out for.

Food 5/5 Hotel Rooms 5/5 Service 4.5/5 Highly recommended. The property and facilities are great but the best part of this hotel is the food — lip smacking! That certainly gives it the edge above similar nearby hotels such as ITC Windsor.

Best 5 star hotel in Bangalore with top notch facilities. Easily accessible to bus station which is about 2km away from hotel. It is also a good place to organise any great event like workshops, seminars, fairs and many more.

I have visited this hotel couple of times for a different events. The star hotel is awesome, the food and stay likes by many. The swimming pool also the best to chill out. The lush greenry atmosphere is an added advantage. An easy access to everywhere in the city. Fully safe and secure place to spend your time with family or friends or even conducting an event etc. Fully peace and quiet atmosphere and experience in an affordable cost.

My visit to this hotel was short but sweet. Couple of improvements like menu cards printed out on paper which feels cheap when you are with your client. Rooms need a step to recovery to match other five star hotels.

This has been one of the best hotels in Bangalore since ages. I've been to the hotel for a lot of social events, but never stayed back, so cannot really comment on the rooms and related service. But having spent entire days there, it's a really nice place. They always have good food and friendly staff. The location makes it ideal as it is pretty much in the center of the city, and the neighborhood is also really good with the golf course and Chitrakala Parishat in the vicinity.

Attended a wedding reception at the pool side of this government owned 5 star hotel. The staff manning the food counters were least bothered to serve with a smile. Food items were not replenished in time and no one appeared to be monitoring the service. Waste plates and cutlery were not cleared either. I am sure my poor host would have realised he ought to chosen a 3 or 4 star venue for the money he must have spent.

Awesome ambience. Nice event venue. Had been there for an official meeting. The arrangements were meticulous and well organised. Food was great. Rooms are large and aesthetically decorated. Staff are very professional and polite. Ample space for parking is there. The buffet breakfast was good and well laid out. Lobby was a little small for such a grand hotel. Would have appreciated more if there were a few stores in it. Went looking for a book store or salon inside. Was not there on that day. Otherwise a great place to stay…

Nice hotel, great nightclub on the rooftop. Might I add the club is LGBT friendly. Good service but some of the rooms smell like cigarette smoke which could be a turn off for some but doesn't bother me. Breakfast buffet spread is impressive and good! Baluchi restaurant is great food, slower service as it's made fresh. Chicken and steaks are cooked to perfection! I would definitely go back for the nightclub and the food!

The food was awesome. We went for Sunday brunch. They have lot of varieties to choose from. Ambience is good. Live music was there. We got tattoo done. It was a great experience.

One of the most well know hotel in Bangalore city and it's located in a very pleasant place which gives an amazing feeling to be here. A place where parties and events can be easily conducted and I've been here several times. Staffs were really polite in helping people who comes here and food served here is superb delicious. Beautiful place!

It's not good as it was. The cleanliness has gone down by many levels. Swimming pool area is dirty and rest rooms near pool is smelling like hell. The staff is not at all friendly n smiling. There is no international standards. Management has to concentrate on many aspects to maintain the brand and dignity. The place is good locality and very comfortable to move around city.

Great hotel and pretty well done. The ballroom is a great place. The restaurant serves excellent food and also the garden area is beautiful. Their party area called sutra is good for all age groups and you can have a good time with your friends in there. Good halls for any occasion and can occupy a lot of people. The rooms are good and the hotel service is decent. They have an area behind the hotel which is used for the exhibitions which take place their regularly. A must visit.

Stayed at the Hotel for a night. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were courteous. Service was a bit laid back. I had requested for takeaway breakfast, but it was not ready even after repeated request for urgency. Hotel is located at a very convenient location in the centre of Bangalore.

Had an overall good visit to this hotel. Lalit Ashok hotel is located at the heart City Bangalore. We had the awesome buffet dinner at the restaurant. All the staff right from the reception to the restaurant were very helpful. Food was outstanding and specially the rates are reasonable for a five star property. It's a must and highly recommended hotel for all your special parties at Bangalore.

Luxurious hotel, way they treat you feels Luxurious. The cleanness of premises is very good. I've visited the grand Ball room here for IoT roadshow. In front there is a small park which is very good and tidy. It was great experience.

Very good place for conferences. Food is very good. If you are targeting for huge audience then it would be good place to book the conference rooms. Good ambience with polite staff. Very big halls at a good price.

This is one of the famous hotels in Bangalore. They have unique arrangements for different types of events. Food service and room service are too good. The rates are quite high but worth to stay here. Hotel staff is really well.

Really liked the little that I saw of it. They have very good service and courteous staff. Attended a function in the ballroom. The setting is luxurious and the place smells amazing as you walk in to the concierge. They have a beautiful waiting area and decor.

Lovely property and great service. Just loved the room, food at the restaurant and breakfast buffet at the coffee house. They have a night club Sutra and it was very nice. Pool and spa services r amazing with great salon inside the hotel. Even the bakery is very nice.

An exquisitely beautiful experience, not just a hotel. It is all the more lovely because it's set back from the road quite a bit. And the road itself is attractive, with many tall trees. Although I didn't stay overnight, just came for breakfast and to meet someone, if I ever return to Bangalore I would certainly think to choose the LaLiT. The long outdoor swimming pool and gym with an expansive view of it would be my first destinations there. And the staff are very courteous and helpful.

An old star hotel in the heart of city. Lot of space around it, inside outside. Good infrastructure. Food is good. Exhibition and events keep happening. Nicely located and parking available.

It's a wonderful place for party. DJ is awesome, but food is not great. We can have many items but something is missing in food to give that delicious feeling. Over all it's nice place to hangout for parties.

Attended a conference at the Lalit Ashok, and I found the experience quite good. The conference halls were quite large and spacious and had good facilities. The food was pretty decent too. Overall a nice place to host a professional event.

I was here for a conference. Their ambience is appreciable, fine dine restaurants are good, and other infrastructure is appreciable. As a matter of fact walking through their hallways is really interesting. Additionally also enjoy their wonderful hospitality. They slightly lack in terms of scenery on some of the lower floor. If that's taken care of, much of the flaws would be done away with.

Amazing place to have a meal. The food is succulent and can't compare to anything I've had before. Definitely worth your money.

I have been to Lalit several times, many times to attend an event, and visit their fine dining restaurants. The restaurants are top in the class, with amazing food and great service, giving a great dining experience. However during events, because of the large scale, they find it hard to maintain their great level of service, which is understandable. What is not so great during events is the drop of food quality when they cook for 200 people. Parking is limited on event days and their valet service struggles to keep up.

Great place to have food! I was here with friends for brunch and the food was amazing. Lot of options for vegetarians so I was super happy. If you have a sweet tooth, they have much more options for desserts! The outdoor ambiance is very good and kids can play around in the green lawn! They had live music and a couple of us even sang! :) Good times.

Went there for breakfast. Very basic stuff except waffles. It was a let down. There was nothing that was to their standards.

Good experience, absolutely warm and hospitable staff. Plenty parking space, very spacious and vast garden area. The speciality restaurants in Lalit are real delight. The fitness centre and Spa is well maintained, clean and hygienic. Recommended.

Stayed for 2 days with family in the month of may. Front office guy was an little attitude guy, rest all staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy but some cigarette type of odor was there which I couldn't remove. Property is in calm place between cm residence and cm office.

Was in India Last January, Had a wonderful experience in Hotel, Especially coffee shop area and swimming pool. Very friendly staff I would like to appreciate Mr. Sunil for giving me best tips and and diet advice and I had a quality workout in gym after a long time, I would wanted to stay again when I come to India :)

Spacious hotel, Interiors are good. I had been there twise. Food is Good. Close to Majestic. Next to Karanataka CM house. Pleasant place. They ahve many conference Rooms. Well organized.

24/7 restaurant here is not that great with food varieties and taste. Ambiance is decent enough. Other facilities like Spa, salon n stay are excellent.

Management should know how to treat customers… Microsoft arrangement cloud road show here and they don't have enough parking facilities for big crowd. They asked our vehicles to park outside their hotel, but when police officials came and seized vehicles, they were speaking like they didn't ask us to park outside; asking us to leave place if parking full. Microsoft has to see into this, because they are investing huge money to organize this event but we were treated bad due to these stupid hotel guys. Lost interest to attend event. Grow up hotel management… Future customers pls be aware before booking place here!

The new year party 2016 … we attended at the Lalit venue kalinga. I have been to many new year parties and nothing with such an worst experience. We had booked event with stay for 12500rupees and To summarise the whole experience it was like a paid Mela serving food for thousands… The event was stuffed with 4500 people, when the capacity was 3000 (as told by the hotel GM), with one single liquor counter. It was like begging for one glass of liquor with a long queue by paying 12500 with stay… And with plastic leaking glasses it was deal done: (. The customers were looted by the so called branded "The Lalit" the new year party was completely a disaster. Hope it won't continue the entire year with me! No place for 4000 guest to sit, and bartenders and ushers behaved, as if they were doing favor serving us!

I am writing this mail to give my feedback on the new year party 2016 we attended at the Lalit venue kalinga. I have been to many new year parties and nothing with such an worst experience. We had booked event with stay for 12500rupees and To summarise the whole experience it was like a paid charity big fat wedding serving food for thousands. — The event was over crowded with 2000 odd people with one single over crowded liquor and starters counters (not sure if this was to save liquor or to make people get tired of queues) We literally had to beg for liquors and food standing hours in queue. I hope we didn't pay so much amount for this. — People literally didn't have a place to sit to have their food and had to stand near stinking place with paper plates (my god, this was worst than road side food stalls) and leaking plastic glass. — As advertised, about liquor list like wines, Indian scotch, Carl's berg … Wine was out the list and last people were served with cheap Indian liquor — Bartenders literally were ignoring any liquor asked and people literally beg for drinks. After paying so much money this is not the service expected -Main course food counters (not starters) was abundant, I would say food was lot wasted for this event when people Could not eat so much without proper seating or drinks — To use the pool — staff mentioned it is blocked for party previous day and next day as it was unclean due to the party where people have urinated and vomitted in the pool.

Worst New Year Part ever seen in my life, no proper management and the bouncers are very rude. The Stupid fellows hitted a poor girl and his brother hardly. Please guys dont go ever.

New year party 2016 I went to Lait ashok with my friends, First of all there was total chaos for parking which was half a kilometer away from party venue. when I enter inside I am standing in line for 1 cup of beer bcz of only 2 counter for more than 1000 people, horrible experience after I payed 7000 k I got 3 cup beer, I think small bar will serve better than this, when I realized difficult to get hot drinks I moved on food area, there is hot only rotti, rest all cold food in serving on small thermocol plate. Then DjParty I will not text anything for party, bcz I didn't went party hall. How to enjoy party without drink. Happy new year, Thank you.

I went to Lalit Ashok Hotel for My executive visit. Front desk was not cooperative and we ordered food it came after 1 hr. And main thing is in front of the room there was a dust not cleaned at all. We booked suite room. It was not worth at all.

A world class spa with impeccable services. Its an oasis of serenity in midst of the city. There is so much of nature to indulge. Must try rejuve journeys (head to toe spa experiences)

Best place to stay at Bangalore.

Spent 4 days at Lalit during a recent conference. Service excellent. One, Ms Mamta Singh worked tirelessly during the entire duration of the conference ensuring that conference participants were well served. Another Mr Singh at front desk went out of his way to troubleshoot to ensure that guests were comfortable. Thanks to all especially to these two outstanding employees.

I was there for the Grace Hopper Conference and it was good.

Wow, evening view of the city is breathtaking. Haven't tasted the food in the restaurants but the room service is impeccable.

It is a Foreign Five star hotel cum bording cum lodging especially for foreigners. They arrange pick-ups, drop-ins near by airport. It is IELTS Exam center also.

I stayed at the Lalit Ashok recently and was really overwhelmed with the services, product and the warmth of the people. I am getting into a new business in the city here and I have already decided my permanent hotel. Another good thing is the immense big lawns they have. Very well maintained I must say.

It is quite a pathetic place and I advice nearby ITC Windsor. You will not regret your choice. We recently purchased the Lalit loyality and decided to go to the Lalit on a special occasion and were expecting decent hospitality. The staff was rude and we speak to the duty manager and his superior and they were both rude in resolving our issue on membership and accommodating us in the restaurant. They actually said if we are regular customer (not member), they would be able to serve us better. The hotel staff (including duty manager) wasted our precious evening time and disappeared instead of closing the issue. We decided to went to the nearby Windsor, the staff was very friendly. Once we told about our special occasion, the duty manager himself took us to the Afghani restaurant and provided us a table near the pool. And the nice evening ended with a surprise desert at Windsor. Once again, do not buy membership at the lalit and don't waste your time going there.
