Review of The Lalit Ashok 5*

I am writing this mail to give my feedback on the new year party 2016 we attended at the Lalit venue kalinga. I have been to many new year parties and nothing with such an worst experience. We had booked event with stay for 12500rupees and To summarise the whole experience it was like a paid charity big fat wedding serving food for thousands. — The event was over crowded with 2000 odd people with one single over crowded liquor and starters counters (not sure if this was to save liquor or to make people get tired of queues) We literally had to beg for liquors and food standing hours in queue. I hope we didn't pay so much amount for this. — People literally didn't have a place to sit to have their food and had to stand near stinking place with paper plates (my god, this was worst than road side food stalls) and leaking plastic glass. — As advertised, about liquor list like wines, Indian scotch, Carl's berg … Wine was out the list and last people were served with cheap Indian liquor — Bartenders literally were ignoring any liquor asked and people literally beg for drinks. After paying so much money this is not the service expected -Main course food counters (not starters) was abundant, I would say food was lot wasted for this event when people Could not eat so much without proper seating or drinks — To use the pool — staff mentioned it is blocked for party previous day and next day as it was unclean due to the party where people have urinated and vomitted in the pool. — Room standard rates are mentioned as 4200rs on the bill and hotel premises but event management guys took 6500 rs for the stay as we selected 12500rs package, not sure how this changes. Overall had a really bad experience for the much awaited Lalit new year party. This was the same experience with few of my friends who attended the party on 31st 2014, which we came to know today while we shared our experience I will definitely will share my bad experience wherever possible, as I feel customers deserved a better new year start and this should not happen to them again. This was like we were attending some paid big fat wedding or Mela. I feel the customers are looted with such false promises made, by such big brands. I am sure a huge money is made by management for this event with quality and brand name left in the drain. Thanks for the hospitality! Hope you guys will take note and improve in 2017 as I get to know 2015 was also the same as 2016. It's not about how many people were present at event which makes an event success but its about satisfied customers. Request you all to please plan the event according to space capacity Lalit can accommodate.
