Really didn’t enjoy my stay here. The rooms were nice and the lay out was good however we went into the toilet room and it stank of rotting garlic and onions. Went to the front desk (this was at 23:00) and said just to let you know this bathroom stinks and is affecting the entire room. Did nothing said they would inform the cleaners in the morning. Went back at 00:00 and asked if I could clean it with anything and there was nothing. In the morning it was okay but then as we started to use it again it stank again indicating a pipe work issue. So asked to change rooms as it was a Sunday so wouldn’t be fixed. Moved rooms to another room with a blocked up loo and it smelt of urine. On the 5th complaint of the weekend they came in and cleaned it, the cleaners were lovely but the lack of basic hygiene shocked me as well as a lack of apology. I’m aware this is a hostel but I’ve stayed in many before and never had such an issue. It’s also located by a loud busy main road which shakes the building with noise. I’d not return here again.

Excellent location, good facilities. Before we went we saw various remarks about bed bugs but 10 of us went in two separate rooms and there were none to speak of. Would definitely go again.

Wonderful location but not very good experience. The air conditioning was somehow broken so we had to leave the window open. It is now 2.06 am but it’s just too noisy to fall asleep with high-speed vehicles rushing by. The sheets smelled like they were not dried. Staffs were quite friendly though.

Pay attention! We stayed there for one week and we had real problem with the bed bugs that there are in every room… It was disgusting because you could see them on your bed. The location is great and the breakfast. The facilities are very good but do not stay there because they know about the bugs months ago and they haven't found a solution. I suggest you do not book.

Really nice staff who are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. Overall the hostel is very well maintained. BTW it's quite hard to find, but it's hidden on top of Costa Coffee.

Apt had a sleeping room inbuilt in the living room without a window… apt 22 'red'…

The BEST hostel I have ever stayed in. Forget your preconceived ideas of what a hostel is like, this will change your mind. Its in a beautiful old building, the inside is modern and up to date, but the architecture is still great. We had a wonderful balcony looking out onto the busy streets of Budapest which creates a nice atmosphere. The hostel is 5 minutes walk away from a big selection of restaurants and in general is perfectly located. Staff are so friendly, with good English. Very good value.

One of the best hostels I've ever visited on Europe. Not expensive at all, clean and located near of the city center. I was there on winter, no problem with the temperature inside of the rooms.

Great overall value. Staff is helpful and friendly, everything is quite clean apart from the mess other tenants leave. People can be disrespecting pigs sometimes. Though it's usually the same people making and leaving a mess. Like the kitchen, I did the dishes today cause a few people hadn't done theirs. Pathetic and selfish they are. There's a large common area an an equipped kitchen. There's an oven and 4 cooking plates, microwave (don't use that; generally speaking) toaster, water boiler and coffee machine at your disposal. Rooms were clean and okay. I don't like the balcony in the room cause some guests are rude and open the doors to smoke at eleven pm which makes the cold come in immediately. The location is great, quite central, and as only downside I'd say the way to get into the hostel is a bit dangerous if you are not careful with your steps. But then again, there's an elevator for those who need it.

I had reserved a private room for two, clean, warm, cozy and with friendly and helpful staff. Great location The Metro is just a few steps from the exit door.

Quiet and well located access top bunks very bad shower with very little hot water temperature.

The rooms are too congested and very less space to move inside. Even the restrooms are too compact. The kitchen is good and has all the facilities for cooking and refrigeration.

Really cheap one. But with lot of great facilities. Better rooms, toilet, better security, and plus it is in the city centre.

A very affordable hostel accommodation very close to the centre of the city. Tasty breakfast and helpful staff. Difficult to find the entry. If you find it then you are in good luck of some nice stay. Good for large crowds with bunker beds. Not so good for single couples.

A great place to rest with friends. You can select a very good location with a beautiful view from windows, a comfortable, shared space, and a 24-hour hotel. The Wi-Fi was very good.

One day before our arrival we've got a message from the property confirming out check in time and casualy informing us, that the apartment we've booked is unavailable because of broken pipe and that we will get different room. Nothing more. After asking about the different room they've told us that the only option is to stay first night in one apartment and other two nights in different apartment. Both apartments in completely different location than the original one. At least they allowed us to cancel booking for free, but I find this kind of attitude from a property owner unaccaptable. Informing customer less than 24 hours before arrival that they can't stay in the apartment may be pure bad luck, but the fact, that I had to explicitely ask about more information and only after that I was told that we have to move from one apartment to another is just nonsense. And searching for a new accomodation day before arrival in the middle of August is not really nice or cheap…

I found a BEDBUG here immediately upon checkin a bit over a week ago. Walked up to the front desk and asked for a refund so I could go. The owner made me show it to him and when I did he just kept saying it's dead so it doesn't matter? Which is absolutely unacceptable. I'm usually pretty understanding of things like this happening because it's really nobody's fault, but the way in which he handled it was incredibly unprofessional and honestly embarrassing. He made it seem like my fault for finding a bedbug. He refused to refund me for that night because he is the worst. I have also seen on other review sites that he has pulled the exact same thing with other people. Seriously do not give this man your money, I have seen mentions of bedbugs here in reviews spaced weeks apart. It's clearly a long term issue.

Fantastic location, cool atmosphere and clean. On the downside, when they say A/C they mean a fan or two, so it was REALLY got even with the windows open. Because they're so close to Deak yet and those bars, their bar in often closer tm empty and not a great place to chat with others.

To start, the signing for the hostel is incredibly poor, asked around and took ages to find. Then when we arrived the receptionist, who was very disinterested told us that our room was unavailable and we had been put in a smaller room. The price then changed, but when we came to pay the price had gone back up. A complete waste of time with no communication between manager and the various receptionists. Ladders upto the rooms are absurdly steep and it is one of the noisiest places I have ever stayed. You cannot reduce the noise because the windows need to be open as there is no AC, just fans. Do not stay here.

I'm pretty new to traveling, but this hostel is very nice. Great rooms, free Wi-Fi, great service. Highly recommend!

Great location, in the centre of Budapest. Tania was so kind and felpful. The apartment is fully equipped; clean towels, fresh coffee, etc… Thanks for everything, i'll definitelly go back, if i'll be at Budapest again!

Very good location and very nice hotel.

The staff's attention was good from the first moment, starting with a demonstration of the place, explaining the use of padlocks for the lockers that give free, the way to access the Wi-Fi network and the allocated beds. We were in the shared room for 10 people. The views from the window can be seen in the photos.
Each bed has its own plug and candle and also a curtain to close while one sleeps, something very practical and that I had never seen in a Hostel. Room heating 10 points.
The individual shower rooms are a little small. They have a system that I did not like a bit, to press a button and the water out for only 10 seconds and have to press it again to come out again. It's uncomfortable, at least it should last longer before you cut yourself.
Beyond that, clean bathrooms, no problem.
The kitchen of the hostel is well equipped, spacious and always clean. It is the part that there is in common among all the travellers. There is also the balcony, with amazing view and only part of the hostel where you can smoke.
It is a bit annoying that there are several Wi-Fi network and you have to be entering according to which part of the hostel you are in, and put again and again the password.
It is also very little signposted from the outside, which made it difficult to find it (it is inside a very old building).
Lots of good vibes and young people, recommended and would return.
